It was a pleasant stay for us a family in Dec. 24Deg and away from cold was always welcome.
Staff is very well behaved and they looked after all of the guests equally well, so full marks to them.
Rooms are very basic and does the job who are not too fussy about it !
Overall, the property needs some modernisation and especially the entertainment options for kids are very limited.
If you are a vegan or vegetarian then be careful before choosing to stay here as options for veggie people are close to NONE !

We had a lovely holiday at the BlueBay Lanzarote and would recommend it. The staff were really nice and the location was good.
There was always plenty of food to choose from and it was nice during our week. We did see some repetition of choice but were able to choose things from the grill which made sure we were well catered for.
No sign of any insects which was very good and having been there, we think many of the lower reviews were far too harsh.

Worst all inclusive place I’ve stayed in. Waited ages at reception for someone to come out to check us in to get told strictly can’t have room until 3Pm left our luggage and got changed in the disabled toilets which were dirty Hotel looked tired, not that clesn,

I had an amazing March holiday. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing ( this includes everyone from the entertainment staff to the cleaning staff). Entertainment was good. Location of the hotel for me was great as it was fairly quiet in it's surroundings but the lively side was only a 10 minute walk away and a taxi back was about €3. The entertainment staff were engaging with all customers who were willing to participate in the activities and there was pool side music all day. I had a great holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel. Food was really good for a 3 star site, probably on par with some 4 star locations to be honest.

Good location, Room was very comfortable and spacious, a little tired, but no problems. Staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. Food was plentiful, tasty, plenty of choice. Restaurant was spotless. Animation Team worked tirelessly, great interaction with children, evening entertainment was a bit tame, but pleasant theatre room and good service at the bar!

The property itself was much as expected as we had visited several years ago. The rooms were tidy and well furnished and everywhere was cleaned regularly. The staff in the dining room were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
I know times are hard and everything has gone up but the charge for pool towels was just too much, I expect to pay a deposit and possible a euro or two when the towels are exchanged but to pay 20 € for one towel! I was also disappointed at being told I would have to pay 30€ to use the WiFi for one week, you could use the guest WiFi for one hour but this was not even for one hour everyday.

Good overall place for a break. Buffet style meals plenty options nothing exceptional but certainly not bad. Staff attentive and friendly. Room ok but two single beds not a double. Biggest downer for me was the thumping music and bawling of the entertainment team from early morning, often sounded like an 80s/90s 18/30s , good for kids but as it was out with school holiday time didn't expect it. Location 5 mins walk to playa bastian, 10 to beach, 20 to main town centre.

Must of the staff were friendly and helpful, but the food was horrible. Its surprising that they could change good food into garbage that is only fit for the bin! Plus the air vents in the restaurant have green mould around them, disgusting!!! See picture!

I really enjoyed my holidays at the BlueBay Lanzarote. The hotel is in a nice location close to many beautiful places. The bar and swimming pool are lovely places where you can have a great time and relax. The food, in the restaurant, is amazing but even more amazing is the staff who works there, especially Ani, a beautiful, charismatic and very professional waitress from Sevilla. She has a very nice smile but she is also very kind, attentive and funny. She made me feel especial during my holidays at the hotel.
I highly recommend it and I cannot wait to go back.

Great little Hotel resort , shame about the Pool
The staff in all departments were great, there was a couple of downside (1) the pool is climate warmed, our stay would have been a higher rated if the pool was heated,plus WiFi you have to pay for and you also have top pay for the room TV, thats a bit mean especially if you have young children, . Easy access to the local town just a little walk.

Enjoyed stay at Bluebay. Restaurant staff were very welcoming and food selection very good. Room/apartments excellent. Only manageable negative were the bed mattresses. Two twin beds one mattress was of a memory foam type which made sleeping much warmer. The other mattress appeared to be non memory foam but was very flat and hard. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The hotel itself lets the staff down, furniture is past its best, many areas need repainting, cracked glass needs replacing and is left. We enjoyed our holiday immensely but with a little more tlc spent on the hotel it would have been better

I know this is only a 3 star hotel but I was shocked at the poor quality of the food and drink. The soft drinks are not pepsi or whatever it said on the pumps, it was cheap, awful cola. The same is true of the beer and wine. The beer pumps were marked Amstel and clearly it was not this brand but a cheap local brand. This is actually false advertising!!!!! I don't know how they get away with it!
Now on to the food... bland, sometimes cold and made with the cheapest ingredients possible. The food actually made me sick to the point were I boycotted the hotel food altogether and went out to eat. Very, very poor quality.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful with the exception of one or two grumpy staff. Another bugbear for me is the waiters in the restaurant who would insist on making you stand at the entrance to wait to be seated. If you tried to walk in without doing this (it is a buffet after all!), the waiters would either call you back or even grab your arm and insist on showing you to a table and on one occasion, made us go to the back of the queue!
It goes without saying I did not go to the back of the queue, I went out and got some decent food elsewhere. This annoyed me because I think it's quite rude and also, once you are shown to your table and then go to get your food, by the time you return the table has been taken by someone else! What a pointless exercise! It's a buffet, not a restaurant!

Everything you need is on your doorstep and everything you expect from an all inclusive hotel. Only negatives is it costs 6 euro a night to watch tv and it's 10 euro non refundable if you need a towel for the pool.

Staff were fantastic. The smallest problem dealt with immediately. Only problems were fellow hotel guests - left toilets dirty and unsupervised children. Got a bit tiresome telling them off, not bad kids just needed a bit of parenting! Towels out reserving beds before dawn. This hotel cld be 5* if they controlled poor behaviour more. Food and rooms lovely so it's a shame.

Value for a short break - hotel value for money, looking very tired and dated in areas - wouldn't want to spend longer than a few days here. Felt soulless in the evenings so need to go out. Very clean good location - need to pay for anything outside of your basic payment i.e. Safe / wifi/ deposit on iron !!

Blue Bay is way past its prime. Room furnishings were well worn. Even the towels were ratty. Only the common areas were attractive. Because I was staying just one night the they gave me an old room far from everything with no view. Food was standard all inclusive fare although the drinks were top notch. MUCH BETTER CHOICES

Very nice complex, but a little bit out of the way
Overall very pleased with our stay at the BlueBay. Apartment blocks are laid out in such a way so that you don't get people constantly walking past your door at all times of the day and night and we had 7 nights undisturbed sleep. One bedroom apartments are very comfortable with plenty of space. For some reason the rooms are not cleaned on a Wednesday, but on the other days the rooms are cleaned and the towels replaced each day. Sheets were changed after 4 days. Public areas are spacious and well decorated. Buffet service in the dinning room, but you are welcomed at the door and escorted to a table. Good quality food with plenty of choice. Entertainment every night, 4 professional shows and Bingo 1 night and Karaoke on 2 night.

When we arrived at hotel on 27 Nov there was a notice about the pool being shut from the 28 Nov. Asked reception and said we should have been informed by who we had booked with. No contact from hotels.com to inform us. Very dusty around the complex. There was an option to go to the water park.

We had a wonderful time at BlueBay! We arrived earlier than stated check in but were checked in straight away. The staff were friendly and helpful with all questions we had and booked us onto an excursion that we wanted to go on.

Scam alert re Spa
The hotel was adequate for my stay with ample selection of food and drink. Service was friendly. However be aware although the hotel is advertised as having a Spa (complete with photos), this is a lie - the Spa is separately, privately owned and there is an admission charge of a minimum of 10 euros per person. This in my view equates to a scam and I will be taking the matter further. Oh, and the gym equipment was faulty. Be aware Wi-fi is minimum 12 euros per day.

Typical AI family holiday destination. Staff are friendly and engaging, rooms are spacious and functional. Daily entertainment and kiddies disco a definite hit with children. Location is pretty good and within easy walk of town and beaches nearby (plus bus available as well).

All inclusive hotel clean and convenient
the only negative Issue I have is the front desk ladies were absolutely rude to me during my check in process! After I had enough I called them out and explained to them the didn't have to be so rude or treat me like I was incompetent, they simply can not pull your reservation up by just your name and if you don't add international to your phone be prepared their wifi isn't free and they will not let you connect to it to get I'll your information up so either print it or pay for wifi which was ok but I kept getting kicked off and got no signal in the room. As far as the stay it was perfect for the price and being an all inclusive resort which I had no idea because expearian hasn't updated their web so if you have multiple people staying be sure to list them when booking if not they will not allow you to stay and the will up the charge 50$ a day pp which still isn't bad considering the 3 meals a day and free drinks. The room was nice and clean and the rest of the staff were great and would stay again.

A friend and I have returned from Bluebay this morning. We couldn't fault the staff all very friendly, room was cleaned each day bar Wednesday. Parts of the hotel could do with a bit of paint but ok. We found something to eat each evening. To walk to the centre of Teguise took us 15mins, which we did each morning to walk our breakfast off. Would return again.

As stated booked last minute was a bit apprehensive after reading previous reviews but needn't have worried. staff on reception were very pleasant and helpful, place was spotless, daily room service. Food was good, plenty to choose from, and staff in dining room were very attentive. Food may have become a problem if we had stayed two weeks but on the whole we couldn't fault it. Would certainly return to this hotel.

A friend and I had a very pleasant 4 day break here and would definitely recommend it. The staff were friendly and attentive and the room was lovely. Even the wine on tap was palatable and sangria was delicious.

Lovely Hotel in great location
The hotel was lovely and clean and had a very relaxed feel to it. The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The chap on reception was very helpful in helping us to arrange a trip to the caves and giving us information on buses to other resorts etc.

Fabulous short break for some winter sun
I stayed here for a 4 night break in March for some winter sun. Couldn't have asked for more, especially for the price. The hotel has a nice feel to it; all clean and bright, with immaculate grounds and lots of greenery. The staff were, without exception, incredibly friendly. The food was really good for mass catering all inclusive. Our room in block E was lovely; very spacious, quiet and with a good size balcony. Having a separate bedroom to the living space made for a very pleasant stay (I've never had so much space at an all inclusive hotel before). Bathroom was immaculate and seemed newly refurbished, with a great size walk in shower.
The pool area is nicely arranged and the decked bar area is lovely to escape the sun, have some drinks and maybe a light bite from the snack bar.
I'd definitely go back for a short break.

We had a great holiday. Relaxed and fun! Enjoyed the games archery,shooting,pool,french balls,cocktail lesson,sangria lesson,and cooking lesson. The entertainment was good for the price we paid. I loved the karaoke on the Monday night! Not too far from the town to have some fun more karaoke and early mornings. The taxi's were very cheap and very quick. Best of both worlds!! The room was clean and the beds comfy! Great cocktails available on the all inclusive and lager on tap. Love the way you could help yourself to coffee,tea,water,soft drinks and larger!! All meals buffet style Sangria/wine and beer on tap in the restaurant! Refreshing - no towels put on the beds clear advice that if these were put on before 10am they would be taken to reception. There were loads of sunbeds and the hotel was full!! Pool very cold but nice. Brilliant staff!! We will go again!

We had a good holiday at the Bluebay. Hotel is very clean as was our room. Staff are top class and always polite and helpful. Animation team were fantastic and never stopped working. reception staff were polite and very helpful. Food was the same most days but there was always something to eat. Overall we had a good time.
