Great location for exploring the city, lovely staff very helpful it was a shame the hotel bar was closed on Sunday night even though it was Anzac long weekend.
Must see spectacular view of the harbour from level 8 roof top.
Can’t wait till they start and finish the new renovations which is desperately needed.

A very central location for the ship terminal at the Rocks just a short walk to the ship. The room on the 6th floor over looking the harbour was very nice and clean.the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay with them again when in Sydney.

There was a bar just outside of the window. They shut down early, but it was a bit noisy until they shut down. Otherwise location it was excellent amenities are excellent and it was very clean.

We visited this hotel over 15 years ago and booked again for its great location and light, airy rooms. Unfortunately we were disappointed this time. The room was spacious but a bit dingy. There were no bedside reading lights and the room lifting overall was very dim. Bathroom was dated. Beds were however comfortable and linen was good. Breakfast was average. Limited choice and had to ask a few times for bowls and spoons which had run out. Staff were helpful and the location is as great as ever.

Great location to all The Rocks have to offer.
Bed was really comfortable and there was a bathtub which I loved.
Also staff were very accommodating about our cruise ship being delayed and let us stay and hangout for the day after checking out. They also stored our bags. ❤️

Overall, our room was a little tired and dated. Breakfast was good. The standout is the location, with all that The Rocks has to offer and proximity to the International Passenger Terminal.

The room was very clean, a little small, but adequate.
Have sayed at this hotel on previous visits to Sydney. Excellent location. Rooms are now a little 'tired' and require refurbishment of furniture and en suites.
Also lack of USB ports - a new hub is all that is required in each room.
On the whole, very satisfied.

Rooms( especially bathrooms ) need an upgrade - which I believe is happening this year. Everything was clean and beds were super comfortable. Staff friendly. Decent bar and food options, albeit limited hours. Amazing location and view on pool deck.

Everything worked, the bathroom sink area was dirty. Water pressure for shower was a tad light. The bar was grest when it was oprn, the seating in the lobby level was okay, some spots were windy! They allow smokers to smoke out side and as the doors open, you get to smell the smokers as they puff away outside. At 6 am or so, they had workers And heavy equipment banging and making all kinds of rutcus woke us up. When i went to speak with the manager, he said sorry, that he didn’t know anything about it and that was it! At 300 bucks a night, i expect a little more than i am sorry, i didn’t k ow anything about it. Not an offer of a discount, i would seek somewhere else because sorry doesn’t quite cut it. There are other choices, my suggestion is to stay away from this hotel.

This hotel was spotlessly clean and we had a great view of the opera house! Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel and we were a short walk to the cruise terminal. Perfect spot!

Our room had a beautiful view of the Opera House in the bridge. But it lacked a lot of personality in the hotel needed to upgrade. It could be very nice, except that it feels so old. It's a review. I think.

This Hotel was great, we had the view of the Harbor Bridge and it was extremely quite in our room. Transportation around the area was great with Circular Quay being so close and right in the heart of everything that might interest you.

The location is great. Easy walk to the Opera, port, restaurants, botanical gardens, ferries,… Two major concerns: 1) the hotel is old and the rooms are not sound proof; we were on the first floor and had noise from the street, breakfast, and neighbors; and 2) we did not receive room cleaning.

Do not pay for buffet breakfast, overpriced and really bad. Unfortunately I also left medication in the fridge, my fault. (Over $350 worth) When I questioned the staff they denied any was there. Only after threatening to get the Police involved as any left belongings are meant to go to lost and found they suddenly found it saying English was not their first language. Will not EVER go here again.

Everything is nice. So near of the Port, Buses line, Opera house, etc. The only issue's the shower. It's a little difficult to mix hot and cold water. Loved the hotel. When I will be back will sure be checking in at this hotel.

We arrived 7-30 pm. Easter Monday! We could not get a drink closed for the holiday! Our room on the 6th floor requires carrying suitcases down 6 or 7 steps. The room itself was ok but very dated! The only good thing I have to say is the proximity to the cruise port. Oh and they have a service charge in credit card payment - ridiculous!!!

The room I booked was on the top floor and had incredible views of the Opera House. All the views and the staff at this location could not be beat, but the first room I was given had an incredibly strong ammonia like odor. I know pets are not allowed on the property, but that was the only thing I could compare the smell to. The staff were wonderful and able to switch me into a different room. I feel like this room also had a bit of a musky smell, but overall it was clean and still offered great views of the harbor. The location on this hotel could not be beat! There is a wonderful little restaurant just steps from the front door as well as a small museum detailing the history of the area. If you were looking for a safe and convenient location with great views and an unbeatable rooftop pool, this is the place to be. I’m normally not very sensitive to smells, but I did feel like that was something the rooms could improve on. I may have just had poor luck with the first room smelling so badly, as the second only had a minor mustiness to it. Other than that, I would have given this hotel of Five Star review as the staff were wonderful, and the location was perfect!

Have stayed multiple times. Was an IHG initially. May have changed hands a couple of times. Great location near Quay, weekend market, and restaurants galore on George, Argylr streets.Have a favorite room that gives view of the Harbor and Opera house. Furnishing are a bit long in the tooth. Quality linens. Food in bar area was very good. Breakfast is the same everyday and good. We would stay here again.

This hotel was very nice, amazing views to the city, harbour bridge and Sydney Opera house from rooftop. This is a heritage listed hotel . Perfect place to stay,if planning to go on a cruise ship. The area is trendy and plenty of restaurants and cafes.

Despite the age of the hotel we were very impressed with the level of comfort.
Location is perfect. The area is called The Rocks and it’s very close to major tourist attractions. Close to public transportation which is incredibly efficient and worthy of another great review.

The hotel still holds its oldie worldy vibe with all the mod cons. Staff check in was brilliant. So close to the cruise terminal we were actually looking at the ship almost close enough to touch. Close to trains, city centre, bridge on opera house. The room was fantastic, clean and fresh.

we went there to catch a night performance in the opera house, and we walked to and from the venue as it was a warm clear night,and very enjoyable. This hotel is a ideally located for this and as it is in the middle of the rocks historical precinct offers lots of trendy little shops and diners

We stayed at the Sydney Harbour Hotel for one night pre cruise. The location is excellent being close to the cruise terminal, the Rocks, market of various kiosks, restaurants and bars. It was very convenient the following day walking to the cruise terminal with our bags.

Staff were very helpful and professional at reception.

Our room was reasonably spacious, clean and quiet and the bed comfortable. Our only concern with the room was its far location from the stairs and elevator.

There is a nice lobby with bar and restaurant serving a variety of drink and food options. We had dinner in the hotel lobby and it was very good although the portions were very large. The breakfast buffet the following morning was reasonable although we felt that it was over-priced.

There is a great view from the pool rooftop. We did not use the pool.

Wonderful location five minute walk to a view of the Opera House and a 15 minute walk to the Opera House from this location, clean and affordable facility, only complaint rooftop spa needs some work rooftop pool was good wonderful view from the rooftop patio, convenience store next door, many nice restaurants a five minute walk away. we would stay here again, highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful except shower, tub, & bathroom walls needed a simple quick scrub with mold & mildew cleaner. Requested it be ckeaned 2 days in a row & nothing was done. I even explained I tried to remove a couple areas with only water & a paper towel.... which would remove 80% of it. Imagine if cleaner and 5-10 minutes of attention was used. They said \"well its an old hotel\"..... then proceeded to do nothing. Obvious pictures of black mold with an obvious $2 of cleaning solution presented, then ABSOLUTELY NOTHING DONE is unacceptable! Super surprised everthing else could be great, then they blow it on this!
