Were able to use carpark under building and take elevator to our unit. Very convient. There were a few homeless folks that had air matresses and stuff set up on street but to be expected in large city. Large night club just down the block but staffed with several bouncers. I never felt unsafe.

Room showed signs of minimal maintenance - carpet badly frayed at ends near tiles, skirting boards and door bottoms chipped. Pool & gym areas were neglected, no sun shade so avoided in daytime. Gym was pokey - better off to offer access to a nearby well equipped 24hr gym. Linen clean and beds well made up, but our preference is for firmer bed & less decorative pillows that ended up filling the wardrobe. Staff friendly and helpful.

The location was great right I. The center of the central business district and walkable to many tourists attractions and great restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was like an apt with a kitchen, dining area, living room and two separate bedrooms. We had breakfast included at their restaurant and the food was amazing with very friendly staff.

The only let down was the shower which flooded the bathroom everytime.Extra points for Georgie's down stairs the cocktails were amazing and great prices during happy hour! Highly recommend the New York New York cocktail it was the bomb.

The only good point is that it is in a great location. For the rest, it doesn’t deserve 4 stars hotel. Bed way too soft and very uncomfortable, no double glazed window so you hear all traffic and party because hotel is in one of the busiest street during night time and day time actually. I had a 3 months old baby, request a cot, I got a cot where you can’t lift up the mattress so it was too deep to put my baby in it without waking her up. So I had to sleep with my baby and because bed was too soft, my husband has to sleep in the couch because too dangerous with a baby (everytime you move she can roll - felt like we were on a trampoline). And to end the experience, there were this constant sound in sleeping area, like a shower is running next door. I will never go back again. Doesn’t worth 4 stars in my opinion. Also when I ask help with all this problem, nothing has been offered to me, just add blanket under baby mattress to lift it up, which is super dangerous.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay — the location couldn’t have been better! Right in the heart of bubbly Sydney, everything was just steps away: restaurants, shops, and major attractions. The room was cozy and spotless, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. Great central location, close to Circular Quay, Wynyard, trains and trams. We had a one bedroom studio apartment, it was spacious & well equiped. It had a very small balcony space that opened to a brick wall. Our room was ready on time and they had soft music & lighting playing which was a nice welcome. Unfortunately the property is undergoing renovations and one lift is out of service, so we didn’t get to use the pool & sauna and the wait for a lift was a little annoying. The restaurant and bar were also supposed to be open Sunday afternoon/evening and there was no notification they weren’t. This being said, we would definitely consider staying here again.

This is quite an old building. The booking details did NOT indicate that the property selected had its pool and spa closed so I had two very upset children! I only booked this property for that feature! So very annoyed.
The gym equipment is old and rusty.
The 2bedroom apartment felt very small. It is noisy facing George Street with Trams going and tooting horns and pedestrians!
So much scaffolding around property and a complete eye-sore to look out the window. Would not hurry back.

With a frontage right on George St & not any double glazed windows it was very noisy throughout the day & especially at night.
Trams, people & construction noise was heavy & quite disturbing.
Also windows did let cold air in.
Parking super expensive considering there are dedicated hotel spaces.

Kitchen was small & only able to accommodate 1 person at a time.

Great for lengthy stay

Rooms were very large and comfortable. Our one bedroom suite had a full kitchen and dining area. Also washer and dryer were nice. One bathroom with a large tub and shower. Bed and couch were both comfortable and entire interior room was very clean. Only thing that was dirty were the outside windows. Breakfast was also very good, but an added on cost.

We have specifically chosen this place as it's more like an apartment and not just a hotel room. Unfortunately we got a room with faulty air conditioning which after raising that several times, the answer was that all the other rooms are full and we were given a fan to sleep with. That already made my muscles cramps and the rest of the story is that a service person came the next day and fixed the aircon but that whole first day experience wasn't nice at all.

The studio apartment wa fantastic and better than expected, staff really helpful and lovely.

Carpets outside of room need to be cleaned (inside rooms were great) didn't know that major work was being done to the outside of the building (outside my window) until I entered my room. Just closed curtains for privacy, site workers were considerate with start and finish times

The hotel was nice with comfortable, elegant rooms and very spacious.
Breakfast was good and it was served in style!
I gave it a 4 star because there was construction and it was very, very noisy all around. The hotel is getting a face lift. We visited during peak season.
Perhaps all the construction should have been done off season?!?!?!

Other thank having to walk around the construction site and being too noisy, everything else was great.
I would definitely recommend it but first check if they are finished with their construction project 😊

This will be a great hotel again later this uear. Just be aware that it is currently undergoing some major renovations outside which include the use of jack hammervtype equipment making it very noisy in some rooms. Also, the pool and spa are closed at this time. We complained and were, after we contacted the manager, given a different room, higher and away from the current construction side. This meant our stay started roughly but ebded up being quite enjoyable. I would recommemd this jotel once cobstruction is completed. Great location for the wharf where all the ferries leave for your day trips.

Our city view one bedroom suite had a view of the brick buildings across the alley on one side, and our own building across a small courtyard area on the other, so not really any view.

The building is undergoing renovations, but the rooms were large and comfortable, and the front desk staff welcoming and helpful.

Check your options!

Great location close to Light Rail. Facilities were okay, pool was not available during our stay which was dissappointing. In general the room was serviced well though the oven appeared to have not been cleaned for some time and was unpleasant to use. I noticed that the restaurant applied a credit card surcharge when using non-credit accounts and also when charging to the room. I raised this with them on the first occaison but it happened multiple times. Overall I think there are likely better value options for a serviced unit in the city.

I'll start with negative... hard to find driving, no info about blocked road or entrance to car park. Double bed was two singles that separated over night. Front desk room phone didn’t work. But staff were excellent.
Everything else was awesome. Studio laundry, food, all of it.

Loved the layout of the studio apartment, it was beautifully appointed and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was nice and close to all the sights, just a few minutes walk from Circular Quay. Slight downside was that we were on the fourth floor, so it was quite noisy especially at night.

The property needs maintenance, The door closers don't hold the doors back from slamming. This goes on all night as people enter and exit their rooms. The cleaning was average, there was a hair ball in the shower and was still there after we requested cleaning. Our room wasn't clean when we a arrived and was poorly cleaned when requested. The staff are great and friendly, but the facility needs serious maintenence!

Fantastic location, you can walk to all main attractions, trendy bars around like the ‘Establishment’, and many more. I could spend 3 weeks easily at this hotel. There is also a food court with bars at the Australia Square where you can watch sport at the big screen and have a variety of dishes to cater for those who work in the area. Friendly staff too. 👍🙏🙏😍

This property is in a perfect position for visiting the CBD, the Rocks area and both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. My only criticism is the opening times for the Georgie Wine Bar. The hotel says it’s open till late but it was closed when we returned from watching the Darling Harbour fireworks around 9 pm last night. No option for residents to have a beverage before retiring for the night.

Mantra location is great, close to shops, restaurants, groceries... thats all we like about this hotel!

Since our room on the 2nd floor, outside of our bedrooms window is the tram stations... always noisy at at night from the trams and people on the street...

We got a 2 bedrooms, there's only 1 full bathroom and without a powder room... our family of 5 had a hard time staying in this unit for 5 nigths - yet, this bathroom poorly engineering built, always flooded during shower... bathroom floor always wet, wet and wet... from one person to another after showered...

We would not book this hotel again if visiting Sydney, look for the number of bathroom in your booking before confirmed your stay.

Staff are exceptional in attending to their guests. The hotel is getting a bit tired and run down in much need for a renovation and repair. One issue this stay are the rooms are not sound proof - was kept awake until 4am rude noisy guests, protestors outside and the club next door. Wasn’t great when I had a 6am start the next day.
However I keep returning to Mantra Bond for its convenient central location and the service, friendliness of the front desk staff.
