Enjoyable stay in a central location. The Wentworth bar and Delta Rue restaurant were superb. All the staff were lovely. The gym facilities were excellent.

I left my phone charger on my bedside table and rang the hotel when I returned home in Queensland, but house cleaning had not reported any missing items.
I was told by staff that I would receive an email notifying me of lost property. I still have not heard anything.
Not good enough Sofitel Wentworth.

Everything was wonderful. However, very disappointing to find no where to have a coffee in the foyer of the hotel on a Saturday morning. Was directed to go to level 5. However, no option here either. After long discussion we were able to have take away coffee in the outside bar area -paper cups!

Quite disappointing as Sydney based family popped in for a coffee catchup. And they were celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary. They had their wedding reception at the Wentworth 49.years ago!!! so they were very disappointed.

Overpriced, old rooms, skinny bath/shower, water trickled out of the shower & management would not provide a refund when I checked out a day early (I was not receiving a discounted rate or minimum stay promotion).
Do not stay here.

We stayed 3 nights. Very nice staff, great location, comfortable room. The housekeeping was not up to scratch. We asked for milk and bottled water which we never received. Further there was an industrial noise around 3:30am from the floor above. We were on the fifteenth floor. Otherwise it was ok.

Room housekeeping lacked consistency. On some days the pillows were properly arranged on the beds, while on other days they were not. We also booked the room for three guests, but the glasses and mugs were prepared for only two.

The breakfast system was a bit confusing. It might be clearer if guests could order their coffee themselves at the entrance.

On some days, we were able to have breakfast in a quieter area, but on other days this was not available due to some policy(?).

Overall I enjoyed staying at Sofitel, however I am a bit confused that what the Sofitel brand is. Because there were not consistent behavior of the staff from porter, house keeping to the restaurant staff. Should the hotel can show the brand concept more strongly it would be more impressive for guests.

Greeting guests with “bonjour” alone does not seem sufficient to express the hotel’s overall concept.

Room. It was a room for disabled person, bathroom equipped for wheel chair. It was dark and small with proximity to bathroom it smelled. Very disappointed
King size bed and linens were very nice.
Luckily we basically only slept in room

Fantastic location, very nice room, very attentive concierge and old school hospitality. Definitely some 'choke points' however. You can't really rely on being able to get the hotel breakfast, as the line to get in was 30 people deep, and not moving at all. Luckily Lune is around the corner which the concierge recommended instead. The other choke point was reception for check-out, which had a long line, so quick checkout is your best bet. For a group travelling on business, frustrating to not bring colleagues to breakfast, but that's what it is. Otherwise, all fantastic.

Check your car when it comes out of this hotel's affiliated car park. Handed the keys to the valet and it came back 2 days later with panel damage that we only noticed shortly after departure.

The hotel In general is okay, reception small desks, I was expecting more for the price, not spa, no steam
Room, or swimming pool, the rooms are extremely small specially when traveling 3 adults and two double beds, everything is very tight and not enough space to put luggage’s and stuff, the bathroom is old and small, the plastic mat for shower dirty and dark under because of the use. The bar was closed on Saturday night after 9pm. The hotel is close 5 min walk
To botanical garden and 15 min walk to circular quay.
The breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices. Lastime stayed at Fullerton hotel and that hotel was awesome. Will consider staying at Sofitel Wentworth next time.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional staff

I was very happy with my stay at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. I had an issue with my first room and when I brought it to Guest Relations management’s attention, I was helped quickly and was moved to a different room with kindness and compassion. I very much appreciated that.

My room was beautiful and was very comfortable. I had room service and while the menu is a tad on the expensive side, there was a great variety of food and drinks. I checked in on a day that was 37°C and it was wonderful going into a room that was well air conditioned.

The staff I interacted at all stages of my stay were kind, friendly and a joy to be around.

It was great that the metro station was only a few minutes away which made it easier to get around the city.

The gym was going through reconditioning and not available. This was not communicated during booking. Had to walk to an open gyms 15mins away they provided which was an inconvenience.

The rest of the hotel was great and an enjoyable.

I recently stayed at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is perfect — right in the heart of Sydney CBD, just a short walk to Circular Quay, the Opera House, and many great restaurants and shops.

The staff were incredibly professional and welcoming, always greeting me with a smile and offering help whenever needed. The room was elegant, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities you’d expect from a five-star hotel. I especially loved the bed — super soft and perfect after a long day exploring the city.
I’d definitely stay here again !!!

We had an amazing stay at the Sofitel Wentworth. A great convenient location, an easy walk to most things, ferries and other public transport. The Wentworth bar was great for happy hour and we absolutely loved the breakfast each morning. So many options! There were some things I didn’t even get to try after 5 days.

A special mention to Charles from Concierge. He was very welcoming and helpful and made our daughter feel very special each time he had a chat with us.

The renovations and modernisation are lovely but we were surprised by the outside noise in our room as there is no double glazing. Thankfully it didn’t keep us awake.

If you are looking for a conveniently located hotel, it’s decent. Room was very bare and basic. In the bathroom there was no shower enclosure so each time the shower is in, the entire bathroom floor gets drenched.
