Room was clean and had good provisions in that there was an ironing board, safe and tea/coffee facilities. Bed was comfortable and room was dark, but not overly soundproofed and it was warm at night.
Hotel parking underneath hotel is fine but access in and out of this is on a very narrow ramp in and to say it was sharp turn is an understatement: you wouldn't want to be in a large vehicle.
The breakfast was lovely: buffet style and both cooked and continental offerings where varied, good quality, fresh offerings and the coffee was superb.
On a downside I would not recommend dining here, we opted for a two course meal deal paid in advance but had I known what we would get I wouldn't have bothered. Took 45 mins before our food order was even taken, took a further hour to get our meal and the food wasn't great. Steak was well done not medium as requested and the maple chicken \"sandwich\" was disgusting: tasted stale and chicken was awful...only for we had been waiting so long I would have returned it. The restaurant was empty by the time we got to the coffee and they couldn't get that right...took 20mins to bring out a flat white which was freezing so I strongly advise you dine elsewhere.
Staff were friendly if in short supply in the dining room for evening serving hence the abysmal service.

Was told we were being given an upgrade, but there was nothing special about the room. It was on the 'executive' floor but there were no difference in the amenities, no robes, slippers etc - all basic but fine. Bed was very firm and pillow way too big and hard. Breakfast lovely but room very busy.

We found a previous guest's worn underpants on the desk chair upon our arrival. The housekeeper was very apologetic and came and cleaned them up, cleaned the chair, and gave us some chocolates, but we never heard a word from anyone else at the hotel, stayed for five nights. Not a peep. Seems like an oversight like that should warrant a call (at least a call) from the hotel manager.

Aside from that, the tub wouldn't drain (they did send a plumber to fix it as soon as we asked) and the room was hellishly hot with no way to adjust the temperature. Generally just not a very thrilling experience, even excluding the initial underwear incident.

Great hotel with excellent staff, very helpful. When I said that I was checking out early they offered me a packed breakfast with warm croissant and freshly made coffee.

The staff in the hotel were lovely but under pressure as it was a match day. We went to check in after 3 but were told there was no room available. When we got our room it was lovely with comfortable beds however the windows would not open at all and it was very very hot the entire night making it incredibly difficult to sleep. There was also only one normal tea bag in the room which usually there would be at least two. Other than this the shower was powerful and the room was clean and bright.

Room was a good size and clean but very noisy with thin walls. Auto closing doors slam shut causing disturbance through the night and early morning. A pet hate but the television wasn't tuned which is a basic. Well supported by buses into the city centre and staff are very friendly and polite. Let down by the physical facilities.

The receptionist won’t let us check in before 3 pm when I asked at 2 pm. Later in the evening I noticed an email was sent to me that our room was ready at 1:30 pm email. The receptionist didn’t even check our room at 2 pm but just stick her mind set that check in is 3 pm. I think she needs to be trained better for a better customer service.

Poor for a 4 star hotel at £200 a night! The beds have no nearby electricity sockets so if you recharge your phone overnight or engage in some pre sleep scrolling, that can’t be done next to you, but rather over at the desk, which is just annoying. This distance is a pain when your alarm goes off too.

In an effort to overcome this design flaw, I requested an electric plug extension lead. Big mistake. The staff was dismissive to the point of patronising.

No bog standard builders tea bags - that hurt!

No air conditioning in the room, so expect a stuffy night when its warm.

Room was clean & pillows were good.

The bed was as firm as a wooden board which is good for some, but a bit weird for me.

Who needs the hassle when spending this much? I’ll go elsewhere next time.

Uncomfortable due to no air con & window restricted to opening 1inch.
Extremely poor shower going hot/cold with terrible water pressure.
Otherwise, clean, nice food, nice staff but the focus here is on high turnover of tours/visitors from the US/Europe. Not returning guests!

This hotel is in a gorgeous old property, with public transportation very close.
The staff were all lovely and helpful.
My one negative would be that our rooms were HOT. One of the 2 rooms that were on our reservation had a fan that could be plugged in for air circulation, but even with it on, it was like being in a hot yoga studio at any time of the day.

Time allowed for parking very generous, several hours after check out time. Drivers of larger cars will struggle with tight corners getting in to parking area.
Room was lovely, but wish hotels would provide lighter duvets for summer months.
Lovely staff in bar and breakfast areas, makes such a difference to the stay.
All in all a top class hotel, would certainly visit again.

The hotel is located in a safe and quiet residential area. There are also enough restaurants and a park nearby. The hotel didn’t have an air conditioner, so some nights felt stuffy and hot. We ended up using a fan and keeping a window open. The housekeepers made the beds and refreshed the room daily, but the bathroom wasn’t cleaned well. Overall, the employees are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Ballsbridge

The Clayton, Ballsbridge was a beautiful hotel. Created from an old Masonic school. There are numerous bars, restaurants and coffee shops in the Ballsbridge area as well as Herbert Park. Convenient to the RDS and Aviva Stadium

The room was really comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast and dinner in the bar. There was a nice vibrant atmosphere in the bar in the evening.

Quite a nice hotel. The bed was comfortable but the room needed updating. The windows did not fit properly so a lot of outside noise was heard, including the daily coaches very early in the morning. I thought my days of having a shower in a bath with a shower curtain clinging to me were over, but this hotel proved they weren't.
