Parking onsite was great. Lift was broken, which was unfortunate, but helped get our steps in. Location is pretty far from city center, need to taxi in. Penthouse beds were not King size as stated on website (unless the US has their own version of King size beds, they were probably a Queen). Well supplied and good value for cost.

The check-in process was not ideal. We were contacted several times to provide our estimated time of arrival, despite communicating that we were driving, making stops along the way and didn't know what our exact timing would be. Check-in was until 8 pm, with the reception desk open from 8 am to 8 pm, so we saw no need to be pressured into a specific time.

The room appeared to be updated, but the doors weren't adjusted to the new floor height, so they scraped the floor and didn't open/close correctly.

Finally, communication could have been better/regarding the check-out procress.

Although very spacious and in a convenient location for our purposes, this (not) hotel had some inconveniences that made our stay less than desirable. First off, there is no reception here, there is a phone on a counter to gain entry however it was broken. They gave a local number to call the office but failed to provide the appropriate international calling code and area code. Good thing my cell still had power after a long journey, I was able to look up the proper codes to call. Eventually someone then came and took us to the office for keys etc. staff were cool but not offensive and did not apologize for the inconvenience
The next day they were painting our stairwell, halls and lobby. The odour was very strong and we were not notified that this was taking place and had a terrible nights sleep as the paint smell was so strong. The property is “tired” today the least, stained carpets, furniture etc, with again no notice that our terrace would be closed due to disrepair.
We are not satisfied with the lack of communication regarding these issues and paid a fairly high price for a sub par experience.

Spacious room in a quiet area

Broc House had all amenities we required. I was a little worried about being so close to a hospital but it wasn't noisy at all. About a 10 min walk to DART (maybe 5 mins to various bus stops). Laundry was a bonus as we had been travelling for 3 weeks. Grocery store just a 5 min walk down the road was also convenient. The only negatives were the pillows (super flat and hard) and bathroom in particular could have been a bit cleaner. Overall it was a great stay, super easy check-in/check-out (must give an approx time)

We were welcomed at Broc House by Victor and provided a very clean 1 BR unit. The unit was large and homey with all the ameyou could want. The location was on a safe area but a little far from hot spots and public bus routes.Overall though, we couldn't have been more pleased with Beoc House. We highly recommend.

The broc house was the perfect jumping off point for our eight days in Ireland. The transit options made it easy to get around the city, we were able to stock up on groceries at the tesco just a couple of blocks away, the space was quiet and comfortable and the in unit laundry meant we were able to pack less for the week.

Great place to stay near Dublin.

This was a very nice stay. We stayed on the third floor penthouse which had a remarkable deck/balcony. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We were not too good on driving the rental car we had as they drive on the opposite side of the care and road than we do, so we sent out for Ubers, which took only a few minutes to get to us, and was very reasonable to get into downtown.

With a car rental this was a wonderful location for visiting family, and it is very close to Dublin (also has access to nearby bus stops). Quiet location, very comfortable bed, excellent service by those who work there, great communication, and having a washer-dryer in the unit was fantastic. So handy having a Tesco just a short walk away and close to the excellent Merrion Inn (highly recommend for dinner.) Overall, the one-bedroom was quite clean, but the furniture did need to be steam-cleaned. Convenient and comfortable, would stay again.

We needed to catch the ferry from Dublin early in the morning after our holiday. We have stayed here before and know the rooms are very nice with a kitchen and bathroom. The car park is very good too. They provided lovely white fluffy towels and toiletries too.

The People at reception were very welcoming.

Property is very close to some major Dublin transport routes, dart (local train) sydney parade station is just over 5 minutes walk away, takes you straight to city centre in 10 minutes. and on the Donnybrook side many bus routes to UCD and city centre.

Located almost next door to RTE studios, across the road from St Vincent's hospital and a minute from Merrion shopping centre (groceries).

The room suited my needs perfectly and could sleep 4, everything was compact but just as you'd need it.

I can't fault it and couldn't believe how reasonable the price on expedia was given other alternatives for the same dates.

I will check this place out before I look at anything else the next time I need to stay in Dublin.

The facility is in great shape and all rooms just received new IKEA furniture. The location is excellent for visiting UCD, RTE, RDS, or St Vincent’s Hospitals.

The only discomforts were: apartment 12 was oddly very warm, apparently receiving the heat from the apartment manager’s residence area; the washer/dryer plumbing is a bit too level and so smells from stale water after doing laundry filter into the apartment; and boorish smokers tend to congregate outside the front door below apartment 12’s windows to smoke, drink, wait for taxis, and converse loudly and offensively.

Despite the few drawbacks, the complex is great and I would stay again - but perhaps not near the front door.

Really nice to have an apartment with full refrigerator. There's a bedroom and a living room with pull out bed, but when we wanted our daughter to spend the night so we could leave early for a tour, they charged us 40 Euro extra. (No notice of that in booking) Then they came into our room to take back the extra bedding without giving us notice they would be in the apartment. The materials in the apartment were not helpful for the transportation around that area.

The good and the bad!

The bad: The elevator is tiny. We were there for 4 nights. The whole hotel was very hot, the temperature in the hallways was suffocating. Our room was located above the entrance and we had to have the windows open to cool down, they gave us a second fan to cool down the living room where my daughter slept. There is a house being built literally 100ft from our bedroom window so every morning at 7:30 am we were woken by hammering and builders yelling at each other. There were only 4 cars in the parking lot asked about being moved to a different room and was told they were fully booked. All of the internal doors of the apartment are closed by spring system so you cannot walk from room to room without opening the door and pushing against the spring, hard to do with 2 cups or anything in your hands. The good: Great location, there is a large grocery store within a 5 minute walk. Friendly staff. Kitchen is sufficient. Shower works well. Low noise level within the hotel.Would I stay here again?? Once the house construction is over, maybe.

Excellent modern, secure, clean and warm apartment with kitchen / living room, bathroom and bedroom. Kitchen included utensils, kettle, toaster, refrigerator, stove top / oven, washing machine and dryer. The apartment also had a movable standing fan which was great for the warm summer nights. Great location within 5 minutes walking distance of supermarket and buses to the city center. Light rail system less than a ten minute walk. Check in was very straight forward and staff were easy to contact. I would highly recommend this apartment complex especially for any trips of 2 days and over.

Appartment was very good and clean. All be it a bit tired. Convenient location if you are driving as there is free parking. Public transport is a 10min walk from the property. It costs €3.00 per trip on the bus. You need exact change as the bus driver will not handle money. I would stay at this property again if I visited Dublin in the future.

The Broc House Suites are really lovely and so very comfortable, it is always a pleasure to be a guest there. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Close to the University UCD, and the beach is quite near, approx 7 mins by car if you want a stroll after a busy day. Frequent bus service to the City Centre. Free Parking.
I will continue to stay there when I am in Dublin. Excellent as always.

Confusing instructions about picking up the key had me anxious. Nowhere does it say there is a reception office. That said, check in was easy. The flat was cute and had everything — we even used the washer and dryer. The only complaint is that it’s quite far from the city center and being unfamiliar with the bus system, we took taxis. Tesco and Merrion Inn are walkable but that’s about it.

The room & facilities were clean & well-managed. The sofa bed was already pulled out & made up for us, which was great as we were a group of 4. The hotel was a short distance from the city center, but was accessible via bus &/or train.

The only complaints that I have are about the showers & room temperature. The showers are raised off the floor, making them difficult to get in & out of, especially for people w/ mobility issues. The room was very hot over night, even though our visit was during March (so it was cold outside) & we kept the heat fully turned off.

Don't bother looking at any other place in Dublin. This is the place to stay. Fantastic location, near transport, restaurants and facilities. If you prefer, you can walk from this leafy prestigious suburb of Ballsbridge to Dublin's City Centre in 30-40 minutes. Oh, and by the way, the accommodation is like being at home - fully equipped with everything you might need.

It’s in a very nice part of town. There’s a nice shopping center right up the street about two blocks. They schedule taxis for you that are prompt, and if you like taking the bus in the city the place is 4-5 blocks from the bus stop. The suite is cozy. It may have been apartments turned into B&B.

Our apartment was small but well equipped and decorated. It was spotlessly clean. The location worked well for us - a short walk to Tesco and the bus stop for getting into the city so we could leave the car (off road parking) and not worry about parking in the centre of Dublin. There is also a very nice Italian restaurant near by.

On the negative side getting around the bed was a bit tight and the bed itself was uncomfortable - the mattress sagged at the side, probably where people had sat to get dressed. When you have a bad back as I have, sleeping then becomes a problem. Also, our information led us to expect a king size bed but this was definitely not king sized.

Staff were friendly but be aware that there is no leeway over checking in. We arrived 20 minutes early for our check in (we had been lucky with the ferry and traffic) but were turned away. We would have been happy to have seat and to wait but this wasn't offered.
