Excellent hotel, much bigger than i thought. Checking in was straightforward, and the front desk were very helpful in showing us to our room, and later assisting with the operation of the heating control.
Although we did not have a pet with us, the fact that water bowls for digs whete in the room was a wonderful tpuch.
All in all, would highly recommend the hotel, location was perfect for us.

Unusual property likened to a Tardis. Nearly missed the bar which had multiple rooms all with sports tv’s. Great atmosphere and plenty of choice. It’s unusual but with lots of charm.

It’s too expensive for what it is. I traveled with a pet and the accommodation was not worth the extra fees. The breakfast was fine, but the security of the room was poor, and the room was WAY too hot - I had to sleep without blankets in the room in early February! Staff said the radiant heating was the cause. Even with a window open and the heat turned down, it was very unpleasant.

We spent 3 days in Dublin. This hotel is not far from the city centre.....taxi and bus service very accessible. The hotel has the feel of a BandB...very clean, several large main rooms to lounge in. A big plus is the attached pub which serves great food and the music was great.

Good hotel with transport links to the city, though the area itself has several food options there arent many ‘attractions’ to see in the vicinity of the hotel. Having said that, the river area is a 20 minute bus ride and the hotel staff, breakfast and room size is excellent. I would have liked a street view and not a view of a wall, albeit the art on the wall is great! Overall was a good stay, quiet and comfortable

I liked the UpperCRoss for a lot of reasons, it was clean, historic, with free parking.
We arrived fairly late on Saturday due to a flight delay. The bars outside were packed and loud. The front lobby was pounding with bass. It was noisy until after 2.
Breakfast was wonderful, and overall, it’s a great place if you’re a young person looking for easy pub access and nightlife close by.

Uppercross House is a wonderful way to experience a Dublin stay just a few minutes bus ride from city center amid the many stores, pubs and sites the city has to offer away from the crowds! The food and pub provide a wonderful respite after a day of touring! We enjoyed the chance to be in an area that afforded us a chance to experience hotels of another genre that had history on display!

Very nice staff and excellent location and price. Not a luxury hotel, and on the older side. However, it is very convenient and you probably can't find a better price for the location. A bit standard room and mine looked out on to a parking lot. So, just keep that in mind. The common areas are nice, but the room I had while clean was not particularly inviting.

I liked the area and the hotel was clean and comfortable beautiful building old and interesting oak beams, lots of plants, lots of artwork and interesting artifacts, full of Irish charm just a lovely house with heaps of charm. The bar and house is rustic even though in suburbs has a country feel! Staff trendy and warm with good taste in music in the bar the beer garden is just hip and full of rustic bespoke wooden furniture and plants plants galore just love it! Brought my wee dog he settled in quickly and they even left lovely wee silver bowls and a gift pack for him. Can not recommend this place highly enough still buzzing spent new year there with my partner a home from home breakfast and food in Mother Reilly's yummy will defo. be back!

Good clean hotel in a nice neighborhood with great food!
The price on this hotel plus it’s clean comfortable (and delicious) stay more than makes up for the fact that it isn’t downtown. I could walk about 20 minutes and be in the thick of Dublin, but most times didn’t need to. The neighborhood has plenty of very good pubs and restaurants (and Mother Reiley’s which is attached to the hotel is very good plus has a lively and fun pub life) and across the street is a market and a mall is just a few steps down the road. The included breakfast is excellent!!!!
I totally recommend this nice hotel especially for the budget conscious traveler.

Like all things in life, you get what you pay for. To find a hotel in Dublin, B&B and free parking under €100, you have to be willing to accept some down sides. For me this came in the form of a room that needed modernisation, a noisy bathroom extractor and an even noisier evening coming from the attached pub through the old single glazing with little to no sound proofing. Can not fault the staff or service though.

We've booked a \"pet friendly\" Hotel, a room for us and our aging, small (9kg) dog.
Were told at the reception that we will be allowed to stay in a \"smoking\" room.
Hair on a bathroom floor. Suspiciously looking rust and moisture on a towel rack. Few other small, annoying things that don't have a place in 2019 hotel. Overall, stay \"ok\" for the money... Wonder what would HSE have to say about walled off and roofed \"beer/smokers garden\" jobie 😅

Breakfast was nice enough, cleaning staff and servers very nice.
Quiet unprofessional in that they're spread around the couches in the reception area sweating tired or smoking just outside front doors, but still nice to deal with.

I enjoyed staying at the Uppercross Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The surrounding district is interesting to wander about in with a variety of shops for shopping. Busses run frequently too along Rathmines Street into the centre of Dublin. The breakfast was outstanding. I will revisit at the end of my Ireland stay.

I really liked my stay, but I am glad that I am relatively small, since my bathroom was quite tiny. The bed was comfortable and I could actually open my window to let some air in, which isn't a given.
The service was nice, especially when I checked in, the woman in reception was really nice and friendly, she instantly made me feel welcome.
I'd recommend this place, even if the WiFi was a bit dodgy in my room :)

We have been before and chose it largely for the location. We had a quiet room and staff were helpful.The lack of a lift is a nuisance as we get older but we should have remembered to ask for a ground floor room. One irritation however was the very hot water coming from every tap ( room 23) despite running them for some time. Breakfasts still good!

Lovely Hotel, Even Lovelier Staff

This was my second stay at the Uppercross and I can't recommend it enough. It comes with mod cons that a lot of huge hotel chains either don't offer or have the gall to charge extra for (such as free wifi and a personal safe,) and I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere with more friendly staff.

Only downsides are, being twinned with a pub, the general noise at weekends could be an issue for some and it's location is pretty far from the town centre I think, but transport links are abundant and it's a nice walk if you're able.

Just an overnight visit for business, I would not be encouraged to stay beyond that. Lots of stairs and rooms long way from reception. I struggled to find the bar for a bite to eat before meeting, premises would not be good for those who are challenged with mobility issues. There is a small lift but it is very ancient!

Lovely hotel. A bit dated. Shower and bathroom needs modernising and upgrading. Clean throughout. Noise from late bar next door disturbed my husband up to 3AM. Dinner in the restaurant that night was lovely. Breakfast ok. Hard to serve yourself with the cooked items as covers were not connected to pots so holding plate in 1 hand and cover in the other left no hand free for serving items on to plate. Croissants lovely and fresh and fruit fresh. Got extra coffee when requested. Busy spot. Would love to bring our dog next time. All staff very friendly and free secure parking a huge bonus.

The property is historical, clean, interesting, safe, conveniently located, has an excellent breakfast, and restaurant adjoining it. The staff are all professional, knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and helpful in every way possible. There are a variety of rooms to stay and the staff are excellent in choosing the right room for their guests. All the guests I witnessed, including myself, were very happy and made to feel comfortable during their stay. I will definitely be booking a stay again here.

The professionals here are extraordinary. They are always so helpful, always to knowledgeable, and go the extra mile for their guests. The room #17 was just beautiful - well appointed and the decor was so welcoming and relaxing. Every single member of the hospitality staff from the room cleaning to the front desk staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and gracious. It was refreshing to come to the Upper Cross House Hotel for my stay in Dublin. It is located near shopping, in a safe and friendly neighborhood near buses and the LUAS is just a 30 minute walk through tree-lined quiet neighborhood streets. It's all a traveler could ask for in a hotel - and much more.

The bar in the hotel was open until past 4 am playing loud music. Impossible to sleep. No parking available. Lucky it was a Saturday night and it was free on the street, otherwise we would have had to feed the meter every three hours.

I was so happy that this hotel worked out well for me. It was right on several bus lines making it easy to get up to Dublin city center, and Temple Bar area. If your reservation includes breakfast, they have a full hot Irish breakfast with good coffee. The single room was small but had everything I needed including coffee maker. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in figuring things out like laundry, getting to airport, touring, etc. The neighborhood was trendy, and had shops, restaurants, bank, pub with live music, etc. I even had a new pair of eyeglasses made in just 24 hours across the street.

Overall, worst place I stayed over ten nights in the country, and multiple in the Dublin area. Stayed here for two nights, and each night presented an incredibly different experience. The first night I was placed in the room directly over the beer garden, which was incredibly loud until approximately 12AM, rendering me no sleep and eventual management apathy. I visited the front desk to ask for assistance and they apparently didn't have rooms to switch me into, but phoned the beer garden, which yielded no improvements - still stayed loud. Even in the morning I was subjected to skanks hacking up their lungs in the courtyard. I guess I can tell people I've slept in a beer garden?

Went down in the early morning to demand a room change and miraculously there was a room available (this would have been before anyone checked out) - so my running conclusion was that there was a room available, but the manager the previous night either didn't want to change me or didn't have authorization. Either way, it was a significant customer snafu. The new room was incredibly quiet and I slept well the second night. Given this situation, I wouldn't stay at this location again, given their poor customer service.

Location was great, and the front desk did have suggestions of places to eat, and was helpful in other areas. Parking was an additional convenience, although it seemed as if 80% of the cars in the lot were abandoned, which was strange.
