Very funky hotel. Very clean. Large spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. No 62 tram in front of the hotel takes you straight into the centre of Vienna and we walked (about 25 mins) to the zoo and Schönbrunn Palace. Thank you.

AC did not work at all I suspect because the filter was filthy (you can see it from above) , even with the huge window wide open the sleeping loft was too hot. Also the ceiling in the loft is about 180 cm. The shower was too small and the handle to control the temperature sticks way out into the shower space so you accidentally bump it and burn/freeze yourself easily. Even if you don’t hit it by accident, someone else in the building will flush or turn on a shower and it will drastically change the temperatures of your shower (I assume, unless it is truly random). The sink also did not drain at all.

I moved the bed to plug in my charger and there was a bandaid there, the beds are designed so if you drop something below it you will need three people to retrieve it, it had only about 3 cm space that I couldn’t even fit my fingers under.

Overall the room was very pretty but they spent too much on form and forgot about function. The room is not comfortable and is not worth the price. Better off with a chain hotel like Marriott or Hilton than this place.

I could swear I bought breakfast through Expedia but they didn’t have record of it (I received “how was your breakfast” email every day) but if i wasn’t charged for it I am glad. 18 euros for subpar food in crowded dining area, had to wait 5 minutes just for more clean silverware to come out. Limited hot food. If you do stay here it’s better to take the Bus 5 minutes to the train station and eat at McDonald’s or a cafe.

Easy to access to the public transports.

Only downside was our room was the end of the bilding which is next to the train rails.
The trains were running every 5 minutes from early morning to very late night. The noises are quite distinctive.

Terrible. Worse hotel in our Europe trip by far. —Parking was 39 euros
- shower was clogged so bathroom gets floooded
- towel hooks in bathroom were missing so there’s nowhere to hang anything in the small toilet
- lift needed a passcode to operate , but the passcode was displayed inside the lift, so it might as well not have a passcode
Overall very negative and definitely NOT a 4 star hotel.

It’s a very unusual place. The stairs to the bed may be hard to do and the living room is weirdly laid out. But the location is right by a tram and there’s a restaurant right there. The 5 is because the staff are SO helpful. Anything we asked for they made it work. It’s a fun place and welcoming.

The room was great, could have used a microwave for heating food in kitchen. The staff from DCIP were too loud outside for us in the morning times and late at night. The water temperature in the shower was too variable from hot to cold. Very uncomfortable. Parking was way too expensive.

Overall experience was great. I would offer the following recommendations…the email sen by the hotel stated that the access would be needed to enter the building (I thought it meant the lobby area, as well as the room)…the rooms could be soundproofed so that the guest does not hear what is happening outside of their door…the stairs in the room to get to the bed area could use traction grip padding because they are a bit slippery (I fell).

Beautiful new apartments, modern and clean, no complains about this great property, they can probably add at least a microwave to make it 5 starts, just the parking situation is very bad if you are driving there, the parking spot on the basement is very expensive $40 euros a day and street parking is hard to get and you can get a ticket if you are not a resident of the area. also the place is like 25 to 40 min away from the center of Vienna depending on the traffic.

Lovely hotel, really clean and the space was perfect. Our room came with a mini fridge, which was pretty useful. The location is not ideal, as it is quite far from the center, but we already knew that when we booked it. Reaching the center by public transport is relatively easy, so wasn’t that big of a deal. We didn’t get the breakfast, as we found it quite expensive so I don’t know what it looks like.
They even printed our train tickets for us for free which was really appreciated.
Overall we had a really great stay at this hotel

The property was very clean! I loved how secure it was, the fact that we had access codes especially late at night, made me feel safer! Security was definitely 10! I liked the location as well! Tram 62/62A was right outside the property and had good links to the centre! I found that convenient!

Staff were okay during check in, however, I made a request for a taxi to take me to the airport and I highly doubt that the staff that attended to me actually made the reservation. I had to remind her to note down my name and room number, anyways the taxi never showed up and that was very disappointing! Overall the place was clean and okay.

Very pleasant and friendly Filipino Staff during Check in & check out . Except for the big guy who 's on duty last night..he ignored my friend eho wants to ask for a towel . He didn't even say hi when she was there standing and waiting for a long time. My friend was upset. Nevertheless , Hotel is excellent and the Team Filipino Staff. Two thumbs up! The place was interesting, the bed is upstairs and there's a small table and couch downstairs with a small bathroom downstairs as well. There was not a lot to do in the immediate surroundings, I did have a enjoyable meal at the Italian restaurant next door. Not a bad place to stay.

It was a very good experience with Lyf. The check in was nice and smooth, they do housekeeping just once in your stay(halfway through) which I didn’t mind since it was just me. The room was clean and tidy, I did notice some of the utensils that they provide were dirty… so just stayed away from those. But aside from that, it was very nice. Right outside the doors are two different streetcar routes, making it super easy to get around, to and from central Vienna. It’s very quiet during the night, the only thing is that the doors are very heavy and they shut very loudly, which might wake some people up. Overall, a very great experience. Thank you Lyf!

LYF Schonbrunn Viennia Hotel

A exceptional hotel situated just outside Vienna but with great transport links to get into the city.Use the trams or bus or Ubahn.
It also boasts a Gym, conference room, laudry and inside reception free tea/coffee.
My room was more like a mini apartment, with a sink, kettle, fridge. up stairs bed.
Great wifi. Very quiet and the receptionist and other staff were very friendly and very welcoming.

A neat looking exterior and friendly staff who were able to help with questions. Nice little apartment rooms, laundry accessibility was great. Only downside that I could find was the shower. It created a pool of water as the seal around the base and shower door didn't work properly and even in 8 minutes had water leaking out of bathroom even with towels on the floor.

This was such a lovely place to stay during our visit to Vienna. The rooms were absolutely amazing, I loved having the bed up on the mezzanine level to seperate the spaces, it was really cool. Having the little area with the sink and fridge was really useful for some food prep, and the communal kitchen was bright, clean, and fitted out with everything you could need.
We stayed in a level up plus room and my only small gripe was in the bathroom, the toilet was a bit too close to the sink so you ended up sitting underneath it while you sat on the toilet, and the shower was a bit small, to the extent I accidentally nudged the tap while I was in there and sent the water scorching hot. The bathrooms are a really good size, I just think some placement we had was a little cramped.
But that really didn't spoil the experience at all, outside of that the room really was 10/10, the staff were brilliant and welcoming and it was directly next to the tram stop to get in to the city. Very well located.

We had booked two of one-bedroom plus for family group of 6. Spacious flat room, everything in room (shampoo, showr gel; mini fridge, cups, bowels, knife, cutting board; ironing board; hair dryer...). Bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Staff is nice and professional. Free coffee in the lobby. Washing & dryer machine in facility. Enjoy the stay and would definitely recommend it.

Staying at lyf Vienna was lovely. It was like having an own really nice apartment instead of just a hotel room. The apartment was located in a building in the privacy of the hotels courtyard. There was a little noise from the trains passing by a short distance away, but it didn't really bother us in the end. The parking at the hotel was quite costly but there were other parking possibilities by walking distance (15 min). The hotel staff was very helpful and kind throughout our stay.

I stayed for just one night — and that was more than enough. The reception isn’t always staffed, so you’re often left waiting for someone to show up, which felt disorganized from the start.

The internal layout of the property is also like a maze — navigating between the buildings is confusing and not well signposted.

Each door requires a specific code to enter, but here’s the real issue: your private bedroom/apartment door can be opened at any time by staff without warning. As a solo traveler, that felt incredibly unsafe.

On the morning of checkout, cleaning staff walked into my room while I was changing — 15 minutes before my scheduled checkout time. I shouted at them to give me privacy. Shockingly, this happened two more times. On the third intrusion, the staff member came in with her phone raised, using a translation app to tell me I couldn’t stay past 11. I pointed out that I was literally putting my shoes on and would’ve been out sooner had they not interrupted me three times.

I raised this with the manager at checkout. He was polite and said he’d follow up by email to resolve the situation. I never heard from him again. I was rushing to catch a flight or I would’ve stayed to deal with it properly on-site.

Bottom line: avoid this place if you value privacy, security, or basic respect for personal space.

Staying at lyf Schönbrunn Vienna felt a bit like navigating a maze! The hotel has a modern, startup-inspired design with some creative wording in the signage, which made things a bit confusing at first. It’s clear they’ve designed it with a nomad-friendly, co-living vibe, but at times, it felt like we were solving a puzzle just to find our way around.

That said, it was a fun experience—we laughed, we got a little lost, and yes, we broke a sweat trying to figure things out. A unique stay for those who enjoy a quirky, unconventional touch.

One downside: Parking costs €39 per night, which is way too much! Something to keep in mind if you’re driving.
