Spread over a number of buildings, the Somerset Schönbrunn Vienna is a great place to stay. Free tea/coffee in reception is a bonus.
On a frequent tram route to the city centre/closest railway station - This was a plus point for the accommodation.
A very well appointed 1 bedroom apartment. Spacious, light and airy. Spotlessly clean throughout. Laundry/Pantry available in each building for your essentials such as kitchen roll/toilet roll, extra towels etc.
Room did not have a particularly scenic view - they area is urban and next to the railway line - BUT the patio doors/windows were triple glazed - so you weren't disturbed by the noise.
Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned once during out 9 day stay - which was more than adequate.
The gym was good - and free!
Pizza place was superb - reasonably priced and great food.
We felt very much at home and would recommend this accommodation for travellers who don't 'need' to be in the centre of a city to explore it!!

We stayed for 3 nights to explore Vienna and the Christmas markets. The hotel was lovely, reception looked modern and the Christmas tree and piano were a nice touch. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

Très bel appartement mobilier moderne, très bien équipé, la chambre penthouse est idéal lorsque nous voyageons avec des enfants. Emplacement idéal lorsqu’on vient en voiture. Petit défaut fauteuils de salon et chaises de salle à manger pleins de tâches (pas évident de les gardées propre lorsque les meubles sont de couleur clair, ce qui peut faire sale), la seul chose qui nous a manqué dans notre appartement est un grille pain. Attention le parking est hors de prix (39 eur par jour) et ne dépend pas de l’hôtel mais très pratique surtout dans le quartier où il n’y a pas de place parking. Le restaurant est excellent bonne qualité des produits. Je vous déconseille de prendre le petit déjeuner qui est hors de prix pour la qualité des produits proposés (jus de fruits mauvais, peut de variété de viennoiseries et pas extraordinaire, œufs brouillés sec, pain à découper qui ne donne pas envie). Malgré quelques petits défauts je conseille vivement cet établissement nous avons passer un séjour magnifique.

Great location away from town , yet convenient to commute between places of interests. Room is compact but contains everything required for a pleasant stay. The pizza restaurant is always busy so I guess the food must be good. It is an ideal choice for family travelling together

The hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre a 15 minute tram ride from right outside takes you into the main shopping and cultural area. The front of the hotel does get road noise 24 hours. The area is industrial not scenic, but safe, with plenty of supermarkets a short tram ride or less than10 minute walk away. The local Spar satisfied what we needed. The Somerset is a great base to explore Vienna and the surrounding area, it's clean and functional as is Vienna as a whole. Internally there was no noise from other guests though the hotel was full. The kitchen area had everything you need to prepare basic meals though half our hob wasn't working at the time we visited. The shower and bathroom were spacious. The Aircon quickly sorted out the usual stuffy hotel room atmosphere on arrival and at night.The public transport system is fantastic, we bought a city centre ticket which covers buses trams and trains at €28 for a week absolute bargain but you will need an additional ticket €2.20 from the airport.If you do hire a car be warned the car park adjoining the hotel is €38 per day. Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel it was a last minute change of mind for us from a city centre hotel and we weren't disappointed.

The property was exceptionally clean and spacious. It was beautifully decorated, contained all appliances you’d need to make your stay comfortable (iron, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge freezer, microwave etc) and was located immediately next to the bus stop. It was walkable distance from the station and the reception team were really friendly.

I suddenly dicided to go on a family vacation only 2 days before departure, so I hurriedly looked for a hotel. I was introduced to this hotel by a friend, and it was very great beyond expectations. The hotel staff were kind and spoke English fluently. And most of all, the room condition was so clean and the room temperature control was perfect. I think I will definitely recommend this hotel the next time I visit Vienna again, or when I have a chance to advise someone. And as you know, being able to ride a tram like 62 or 62a right in front of the hotel is also a very important point.

Loved the family loft we had as a family of 4 with small children. Appreciated the laundry services available. The place itself is well kept and has a lot to offer. The rooms are modern and well designed. Would definitely stay here again

There was a connecting line to downtown Vienna right in front of the property and it was easy to use. It is made up of multiple \"houses\" where House 2 is the only \"House\" with inside access to the public parking garage. All inside areas of the property require access codes and it had cameras everywhere. It felt very safe for my family. The Family Loft was perfect for my family and the kids really enjoyed playing up there. The staff at reception were very kind and informative. If I am ever back in Vienna, I would stay here again. No need to look any further :).

If I could give 6 stars I would. When travelling with little children, it is hard to keep them occupied, but this hotel has been built completely around children. The tram into the main areas of the city literally stops at the door. It is also 8 minutes away from the train station which links directly to Vienna central

The room was nice and clean and big as shown on the pictures. The bed was very comfortable. However several itmes were missing or not working properly as: only one bedlight, which was not working, mirror light in bathroom not working, no kleenex in box, water outlet in bathroom aerator missing. We informed the reception the morning after our arrival, but nothing had changed when we returned in the evening.

Really nice time staying in the family loft. Transport links into tourist areas are very easy. Lack of a reasonable breakfast buffet option is a downside (€18 per person!). At least there is a Stöck about 5 minutes walk up the road for a more reasonable breakfast. It also wasn't clear where bins should be emptied to. But this is a minor gripe.

Location was great, the property is clean and Grace was outstanding helping us check-in. I was going to relax during off hours and watch a bit of TV. The TV went off every 10 mins, which was extremely annoying. I almost burnt one of my kids bathing them; the water goes cold and extremely hot within seconds. Hard to control the temperature.
While Grace was nice, her colleague not so much. We had to checkout a day earlier and although we were not asking for and/or getting a refund, her colleague was standing behind the counter pretending not to see me. I walked to the counter after few mins and with a very demeaning attitude she asked “can I help you”. It’s shocking how some people are paid to do their job but they don’t want to do it. Employees like Grace goes above and beyond and those like her colleague kills the team performance.

This place was perfect for our 4-night stay. Very clean, smelled amazing, all the kitchen utensils and plates etc. It had plenty of room in the bathroom, living area and the bedroom was good with a huge cupboard. We had 3 cons however; 1) The view from our room (248) wasn't the best and looked over the remainder of the building and an industrial estate 2) there was a construction site just down from the hotel and they were doing piling works which was extremely noisy so mornings were a bit loud coming from outside and lastly 3) the bed was made of two single beds which slid apart if we ventured into the middle at any point, just a bit of a nuisance. All small cons, don't let these detract you from booking this place. It really is fantastic and very reasonably priced! Oh, and there's a tram way right on the street of the hotel or there's a train station at the bottom of the street - perfect!

Great hotel, not in the center but there is a bus stop right in front that makes it getting around very easy. They have a public parking garage next to the hotel for easy parking and parking on the street. Hotel is generally quiet and safe. We had a small issue which they rectified immediately, communication with the hotel was answered promptly.

Parking was easy, just beneath the hotel. The hotel is above a very specific section of the underground parking structure - there are at least 3 ways up, and only the middle way leads to the hotel. Going up a different staircase can make one easily lost. Parking is a bit pricey at $39 euro per day, so plan for that. You can park offsite but that would be very inconvenient. As far as the hotel goes- the room was amazing and clean. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed at this property for 2 days in late September. This ApartHotel is perfect. Place was spacious, large living room and a large bedroom with very sizeable shower. Kitchen and dinning area was good too. Kitchen had Al amenities I could ask for.

Property is in right front of 62 (Tram) and 62A bus. With this and Google Maps, you can navigate anywhere on Vienna. I did not rent car and I strongly advice against renting one in Bienna. Their public transportation is best in class (and safe too).

Their restaurant DCIP is also serving great food with lovely staff.
Overall, great place to stay. Highly recommend it and will definitely be one of my choices if I come back to Vienna.

The apartment was very clean and spacious. The ladies on reception were very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We used the Ubahn system regularly. The U6 station was an easy 8 minutes walk away and the trains were every 3 or 4 minutes.

We had the one bed apt for four people. The apartment is exceptionally well decorated and equipped. The sofa bed was made ready and we found this to be plenty big enough and comfy. The room has air-conditioning which was great, apart from the bedroom not having it so coulde get a bit warm in there. The bathroom was huge and had a very good hairdryer. There is a gym and a good games room with 3 pool tables and chess table. There is a laundry room, we didnt find powder but got some from the supermarket and there is a clothes rail in the room. There is not too much around the hotel but good transport links with the bus stopping right outside the door. Only 3 stops to meidling. Its not really walkable to the main areas but bus and train are frequent. There is a pizza reataurant in the complex which was good and very friendly. Turning right out of the hotel and down the street there is a domino's take away and also a Hofer (aldi) and a nice cafe. Shops do close on sundays! Should also note its very secure and safe. You have a key code that is used for the entry and apartment. Great place to stay.

Brilliant and great value stay
A great place to stay. Very comfortable apartments; spacious; quiet; clean. Much cheaper than other places and with a lot more to offer. Facilities to do your own washing and make your own meals. Wonderful location with trams and buses stopping right outside to link to U-Bahn. Highly recommended.
