Don’t let the price fool you, it’s one of the best dollar value for the service and hospitality. From the moment we checked in, the service was consistent and friendly, notably people we interacted with most frequently was helpful, informative and efficient: Daniel and Brooke - kudos to them for their quality service! (This does not dismiss the fact that all the staff here, front of house and the housekeeping folks are consistent and wonderful).

Thanks again for such a wonderful experience in Vienna, and also in the diverse and colorful neighborhood of Meidling.

Very conveniently located (10 minutes from the tube station). The entrance might not look like much but the inside was perfect. Kettle and coffee sachets are provided but no milk so bring your own if you can. There’s an Aldi (called Hofer) where we got water and anything we needed before going to the town centre. The station nearby (Schönbrunn) was just a few stops from Kalrsplatz where the main attractions are.
We had diner twice at a local restaurant called Pizzeria Ancora. It looks very shabby and the interior is very poor but the pizzas were very yum and the four of us could leave with a belly full for £30!

The customer service was excellent, the location was close to food and transport and to the nearby run down neglected Schoenbrunn Palace.
I did not sleep well for 3 nights.
The day i arrived was 39 degrees, the room was an uncomfortable 33 degrees overnight. The next two nights it was 31 degrees using an additional fan.
The curtain was hanging off the track letting the light in. The sheers were not wide enough for the window. The blockout did not fit the window in length and was not wide enough for the window to the left.

The fitted sheet was a winter fabric, not cotton, making it unnecessarily warmer.
The traffic noise made it difficult to sleep with the single glaze window open or closed.
Overall, it was an unpleasant stay. I would not recommend it.

The hotel's location was quiet and peaceful, with nothing disturbing at all. Overall, I'd say it's a good value-for-money hotel. The hotel's breakfast was good, a buffet, and the price was economical compared to outside cafes or restaurants, provided they continue to offer the same service. Cleanliness could have been better. The sheets weren't changed, but the towels were replaced regularly.

Nice property, but parking is a tad away. Room was warm to hot with no A/C and had to request an additional fan which they promptly provided. Other than that, good place. Didn't try breakfast since it was additional cost, and preferred to check out interesting alternate options in downtown.

The pace was dirty, there were holes on the wall, the tv did not have remote, the door was not secured, the hallways smelled like food, the elevator did not go to my room’s floors. More like a bad motel!

This hotel wasn’t in a busy area or located near any monuments, but the room was big for European standards, clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were the stars of the property they really made you feel like royalty. I think this place deserves at least 4 stars. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great too. Very happy with my stay here.

This was a shock for us when we got to the so called 4* hotel - walking in it looks more like a pension or a motel. The rooms are nice but BeWARE there is no AC. It is not clear when we booked it. For a 4Star hotel we would expect that would be declared in the booking for the summer months when it is warm

We asked for at least one night refund cos we didn’t stay at all in the hotel (booked for 2) and was denied. We had to book another hotel in the last minute at a much higher price. And that included breakfast in the new place

Also this place does not include breakfast
As there is no ac one had to leave windows open to it is a bit noisy
Abit dodgy I would say

Hotel is in a convenient location, short walk from the metro and bus stop just at the opposite corner. A couple of food places on the same street too.

On the whole the hotel would need some refurbishment but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only drawback is that rooms are without a/c and in August is was quite hot. Fans are provided but it would have been more comfortable with a/c.

At night, after the reception is closed and in case the door is closed a code is left on the door with access to anyone. I would be a better solution to share that code with the guests at check-in. This makes the place even safer for the guests.

Cool & Calm, home like w/ a hint of modernity

Very nice people running the place.
Not so hectic as there's not an official front desk but they're very kind & relaxed in helping/assisting guests. They're not banging on your door at 11:59 to check out. Has more of a family vibe.
They have eco friendly shampoo & body wash & great, modern, & big bathrooms as well

Great room, location and price - strange service

Very nice comfortable room, very close to the U-bahn with restaurants around too. The price was good for a proper double bed in Vienna.

The service has been replaced by an app so the front desk is never manned. They ask to download an app to check in, find more information and answer questions.
Personally, I didn't want to download and install an app for a 2 night stay in a hotel.

Upon arrival, there is still a bell to call someone for entry. Fortunately they were ready early and I could check in early.
After that though, I didn't see a member of staff at all for the rest of my stay. I'm guessing they want to do everything through the app.

It's a nice idea I suppose but not one for me. It would be nice to have the app as an option rather than push it as the main method.
My shower hose was leaking slightly. Not enough to be a problem but enough that I should let someone know about it; but there was no-one. A message pad at least at the front desk would be nice to leave notes, to be checked every so often by staff.

Avarage, but a few problems.

Hotel is renovated which is always better then old furniture and matresses so thats good. The location is great for visiting the Schloss. They made some cheap decisions though because the shower tiles are probably not suited for wet conditions because they are moldy. Thats not healthy and unacceptable really. Chromecast is a nice touch though.

Hotel room was lovely and big a bit of room damage such as dents in walls. Bins changed everyday. Towels changed every day. There was a sticker on the bed headboard from previous people when we arrived and was still there when we left.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer wo das Fenster mit Klebeband abgeklebt wurde seitlich damit keine Luft reinkommt? Denke das Fenster war kaputt. Die Balkontür war unten mit Handtüchern provisorisch „isoliert“ . Also keine Ahnung was die sich dabei dachten.

Das Hotel George ist von der Preis-Leistung Top! Es ist ein günstiges Hotel der Mittelklasse in der Nähe zu Schönbrunn. Die Lage besticht durch die gute Anbindung an Öffis. Das Zimmer war geräumig, das Bad ebenfalls, es gab nur einige wenige Mängel in dem Zimmer (gebrochene Fliese). Dies störte mich aber keineswegs. Kommunikation war top, man bekommt eine Whatsapp-Nachricht und hat dadurch immer die Chance nachzufragen.

Betten sind bequem und alles ist sehr sauber. Kurzer Fußweg zur nächsten U-Bahn und dann nur noch wenige Stationen bis zum Zentrum. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die fehlenden Klimaanlagen, was im Hochsommer sehr wünschenswert wäre. Ansonsten könnte man die Frühstücksauswahl noch ergänzen, beispielsweise durch Milchalternativen und geschnittenes Obst.

Zimmerreinigung lässt zum wünschen übrig, könnte besser sein. Nach mehrfachem bitte, wurde Fußboden im Bad nicht gereinigt. Es gibt keinern Schrank wo man seine Kleidung ablegen kann. Bei zwei Personen mit vollen Koffer, wo soll da die Bekleidung hin ??

Begrenzter Staurraum, nur drei Kleiderbügel.

Extragetränke an der Rezeption überteuert.
Sehr laut, wenn das Zimmer zur Straße geht!
Verdunklungsvorhänge viel!!! zu kurz und haben NICHT verdunkelt!!

The room was spacious, the bathroom and bed were clean and comfortable. However, I felt that the lighting was dim. The breakfast, including the dessert, was delicious and I was able to eat it quietly. It's convenient because it's close to Scherbrune Palace and the metro, but unfortunately there's no place to go for a night out.

Abbiamo soggiornato 7 giorni nella struttura. Comoda da un punto di vista strategico: fermata metro a pochi passi, fermata autobus proprio sotto l’albergo, supermercati pochissimi metri accanto. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, la struttura necessiterebbe un po’ di manutenzione.
La stanza molto ampia è dotata di tanti confort.
Unica pecca purtroppo è stata la pulizia della camera e del bagno: dopo ben 4 giorni abbiamo chiesto noi se potevano cambiare gli asciugamani (altrimenti chissà se e quando l’avrebbero fatto)

Non è centralissimo, ma davanti all'hotel c'è la fermata dell'autobus che in circa 15 minuti porta in centro.
Le camere sono pulite e il personale molto gentile e disponibile.
