There are a number of restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops near this location- all within a short walking distance. The location allows for easy access to different transportation modes such as the metro. It is just as oictired online. I wiuld definitely be staying here on my next visit Vienna

We overall enjoyed our 4 night stay. There was miscommunication at the start, where one male receptionist insisted over email that we had not paid for the room, and Expedia could not resolve the issue quickly. This caused unnecessary anxiety as we had to do remote check-in at night. The female receptionist the next morning helped to clarify that payments went through. The room is spacious, warm and clean. The tap was installed a bit funnily (rotates about 90 degrees instead of 180 degrees), but otherwise not much issue. Fire alarm went off one night but it was quickly resolved.

Loved the room, it’s huge and has everything we needed. Location is fantastic - 1) walking distance to Westbahnhof, a transport node where you can conveniently get to everywhere, 2) lots of good eateries around the hotel. BIG kudos to housekeeping. Apartments are notoriously hard to maintained (especially the kitchen), but the room was extremely clean!

I stayed in this apartment hotel with my family for three nights. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and well equipped, with a fridge, kettle, and cooking utensils. It also had a balcony with a pleasant view. The apartment hotel featured the owner’s modern and stylish artwork on the wall.

Breakfast was not included, but it could be added for an additional €14 (€12 with the winter discount). The apartment hotel is located on Mariahilfer Street, one of Vienna’s busiest shopping streets, and is also within a 30-minute walk of Schönbrunn Palace. I would definitely recommend it to visitors travelling to Vienna!

The property itself was excellent value for money - excellent staff, great sized room for the money, great space for the money, comfortable bed, helpful amenities provided including soap and shampoo. Overall, the experience within the hotel itself was very good bordering on excellent, perfect for the money I paid. The downside - the area felt very sketchy at times, a bit hostile in the evenings. Future travellers - don't let this deter you, the hotel itself is brilliant for the money in my opinion, but just be aware of the need to be in at safe times or be aware of your surroundings when going to the hotel to an extent

My family enjoyed staying at this apartment hotel on a one-week family visit in Vienna. We used to stay at a hotel on the other side of Mariahilfer Straße, across the street from the McDonalds. That hotel was already fully booked so we look for alternatives and found this Hotel. The room we had was huge, maybe 60 sqm with a kitchen and bathroom separating two bedrooms. The place is not fancy or anything but clean and generally pleasant to stay at. There is no AC. And no gym. This keeps the rates low, it seems. Would recommend for an extended stay.

Unfortunately one of our beds broke a slat, and we told the reception about it- and they didn’t fix it! So for two nights we had to sleep with the mattress on the floor.
Honestly, I would have given them 5 stars apart from this, but not having a functional bed is a pretty big problem. And they didn’t even communicate about it - they just never fixed it.

To be clear, we had a great stay and this is a good location (near the Westbahnhof). My only issue at all was that the hard floors and the location (on a busy street) made for a noisy environment. The location can't be helped. Some different flooring might dampen the noise somewhat.

Great and spacious apartment for one or two people. It is conveniently located close to Westbanhof train stration.
Everything was good and clean. Check in was super fast and at 11AM! Finally a place to check in at a decent hour.
On the down side, it has NO A/C. At least the unit i had. Would come back anyway.

I really really liked my room. However, I had gotten in the night before the U.S. travel ban went into effect and even though I was booked to stay 3 nights, I only stayed one night. The staff was not understanding at all as I had to leave after one night to get back home ASAP. They charged me the full stay. I felt this way entirely unfair as all the other hotels and airlines were working with people to provide refunds, etc. But whatever. If I go back to Vienna, I will stay somewhere else.

Very clean hotel and spacious for a family of four, + a small dog. Close to subway 🚇(8min walk), easy to travel by subway. Close to so many restaurants. Great service! Recommend. The only thing, we didn’t know we had to reserve a parking spot ahead. We got lucky and they had parking available, €13 for parking/day.

The pictures do not do this place any justice. From the start of my stay I was welcomed by the lovely receptionist who kept my luggage on hold until my room was ready. When I got to my room (zebra), I was totally blown away with who amazing it was. The room had a roof terrace with amazing views of the city. It had everything you needed for a home from home feel microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, TV, hairdryer. The hotel has very good transport links to get around vienna with ease and was very easy to find. They do breakfast at an additional cost per day and looked really good and they have a bar downstairs. I highly recommend staying at this place to anyone as the staff are very friendly and will definitely be staying there again.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, nothing to complain about! Clean, spacious room, with everything you need for a pleasant stay, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle.. Nice large shower booth. The staff was always very helpful and nice. Location was also perfect, 5 minutes walk from Westbanhof, 20 minutes to get to Schonbrunn, 15 minutes to get to the Stadthalle. If your room is facing the street, can be a bit noisy at night, but if you close the windows you won't hear a thing. All in all, I recommend the hotel!

Very spacious room, almost like a studio apartment - small workable kitchen which is handy if you don't want to eat out every meal.

The service was impeccable - the reception desk attendant (petite lady, short hair) was super helpful, providing a lot of information for a first time traveller. The rooms were nicely furnished in a minimalist, aesthetic sense, all very well put together. A little bit rough around the edges in some spots but that's typical wear and tear really.

Two individual mattresses as one queen is not ideal as the mattresses slide out of the frame over night with movement. Then there is a large gap between the mattresses exposing the bed slats. Not comfortable.

If you have a room on the street side, expect some noise, especially if you like the window open, which you might need in summer as there is no ventilation sources in the room. Wifi somewhat patchy, particularly in the middle of the night which is odd.

Would recommend again for the price and the location however!

I stayed here 5 nights ,a lots of smokers ,even it's supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel.people smoke out of their windows.I had daily smoke in my room.I complained to front staff but was told it's legal to smoke outside.
At night guests use a side door to get in.A lots of them return with a lots of noise.I was awake every night by slamming doors and yelling guests ,no signs nowhere to be quiet.
They provide to 2 water bottles and 2 capsules of coffee,after that you 're on your own.I truly don't understand why they can't offer 2 capsules on a daily base ,they cost 39 cents a capsule.
Next door is one of the best bakeries in town.Across the street is a fantastic Vienna restaurant with all kinds of great foods.I ate here a few times and the staff is just great.h

Just get a better room

The staff was very helpful as I request a late checkin. We talked on the phone and he sent me a detail email. I was there right after the official hour and he helped us to check in nevertheless. The room 14 was disappointing as it was first floor right next to the street above the door. It is much more basic than the picture and I found room 15 was the one in the picture and I wonder why I paid Euto 10 more but not getting a better one. Rooms facing inside I imagine would be much a better experience and they would rate the hotel higher. The stair case and life were old but the breakfast area looked nice though we did not paid Euro 7 each for that. There were a bakery right downstairs and supermarket 2 mins away. Walking to museum quarter was 25 mins. Was troublesome as I was coming in through the main station and Meidling station by taking metro for five stops. On the whole I paid Euro 120 for two days which was fair value. I might considering coming back if I can get a room as the pictures and facing inside. Nice snd friendly staff.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The only thing that would have made things better was some sort of air conditioning system. Most people in the area don't have air so it is not uncommon BUT, it was summer and it would have been nice to come back to a cool room. Otherwise, we really liked everything about the place! This is a minimalist hotel located near the train station. There was some construction underway when I stayed but it wasn't a major concern. My first morning there was no hot water for a shower but it was fine the next morning.

The apartment-hotel is greatly situated, close to restaurants, major train station and shops. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Room was generally clean, bed was clean with fresh linen.

There was scaffolding outside the apartment that was noisy when it got windy and people working outside during the day but other than that everything is good. The apartment has a mini kitchen with coffee machine and stove, decent size bathroom, bedroom is small but very comfortable bed. Location is near westbanhof train station and tram stops just 20 metre away and lots of restaurants around.

Had a 3 night stay here in September, its clean, comfortable and the rooms are spacious though a little basic. Breakfast is cheap (€7) but there's a fairly small selection. Metro is a 5 minute walk, its about 2 stops to the museum district and a couple more to Stephensplatz. Overall, a very good value option for Vienna.

Recommend you dont get a taxi here from the airport, use the Vienna Airport Line service to Westbanhof station instead. A taxi will cost you at least 60 euros.

The apartments are well situated for sightseeing but not for restaurants or bars. Staff were friendly but not always someone on reception.

Great location(!!!!) its very easy to get to the city center as well to Schonbrunn Palace, you can walk both directions. BahnhofCity Wien West (a train station)is just next door to you. (In case is you need to buy bread on Sunday its where you can find everything you need after hours on train station :).
The street has all the food stores and restaurants/coffees you need. This part of the city is very expensiveness.
The hotel is modern, not much of the character. Ppl working at the register desk are foreigners with a little experience of Vienna themselves, so they are not a great help beyond of obvious, quit simple things.They speak a good English though. So, do your homework. Vienna events brochures collection is week, you may better to stop by another hotel and get those there.
Rooms are fine (their big - to the floor windows are plus), but could be dusted better. For a house keeper - its good \"sometimes\" to dust the shelves and pictures and other horizontal surfaces, it prevents from all accumulated dust eventually falling into someones cup or on top of a head.

We stayed here just for a night coming in on a late train into westbanhof station and leaving by train from westbanhof, early next morning. The hotel reception staff was very courteous, we found the apartment, large in size, modern and clean. The only ding on the hotel, is that there is construction going on outside , so it's not easy to find. Also, the elevator makes a lot of noise, so if you're a light sleeper, you will hear the very allowed elevator squeaks at night. There is a fair big of street noise, so make sure those windows are tightly closed. Frankly, its the elevator that was the annoying part for us, it was too loud. The wifi is good. Oh and the hotel charges for breakfast, which doesn't look that great because you can get a better deal at any eating place outside.

This apartment is comfortable. we stayed in the Penthouse with good view for 3 nights. There are 3 supermarkets nearby. However, it's a bit far away from the West Main Train Station. It takes at least 10 - 15 mins to walk from the train station to the apartment (walked with luggages) . Other than that, I'm satisfied by the large pantry and spacious room.

loved this apartment. very trendy and modern, bright colours, spacious floor plan and everything we needed to self cater. stayed for 4 days and were very comfortable. coffee pods for the coffee machine available for 50 cents at reception, walking distance to everywhere. lots of supermarkets ad cafes nearby plus trams and buses out the front. rooms were soundproofed so no noises from other apartments to disturb your sleep. with windows closed we were also protected from the main street out the front. friendly reception staff, stairs as well as elevator.

A little heads up on the all day jack hammering probably would have been in order before we arrived. During the day the entire building shook to the deafening sounds of jack hammering out the window as construction men methodically jack hammered off the entire 5 story façade of the building. So there was not going to be any cat napping after arriving a bit tired from our flight. We did have a bit of luck in that we were there over a holiday and only had to endure the cacophony from Hades for one afternoon.

Other than that the staff were helpful and the location was fine. A walk down a wide commercial street with every kind of retail shop you've heard of and you're in the city center.

But I would never stay there again out of principle. If there's going to be a man with a jack hammer standing outside your hotel room window jack hammering all day guests should know that before they arrive.

Convenient hotel on Mariahilfer strasse

Stayed at this apartment/hotel for one week. It was in a very convenient location, making it easy to get around the city. The price of the stay was affordable, however that may have been reflected in the room comfort.
The best part of the hotel was the location. It is located at the top of mariahilfer strasse, 5 minutes from the Westbanhof u-bahn station. You could easily walk or take a u-bahn to many of the best sites in Vienna.
The worst part was the bed. I had a double sized bed, but it was just two singles pushed together. The mattresses were constantly separating leaving a big gap in the middle. Not comfortable.
If someone was looking for a recommendation of a cheaper hotel in a good area, I would recommend Stanys. Better suited for short stays of only a few days.

Good location to shopping strip heading to the MQ

Pleasant stay and tidy hotel in a rather central location. Westbahnhof Underground station is close by and an easy walk which allows you to go to the CBD easily and also use the CAT (airport link train) to get to the city from the airport. The Hotel is close to food outlets and other food stores. I'd stay again if ever returning to Vienna and advise my friends.

I was happily surprised by the stay at the Stanys. The room/apartment was a great size for one (and probably big enough for 2), had everything I needed for a 2 day stay - including most critically free wifi with a good speed.

The room was characterless which is OK if you are looking for good value without compromising on the essentials because the fitings were exactly what was needed. A table to work on, a sofa to sit and watch TV, a comfortable bed and a little kitchinette where I coud make food.

Location wise, it's where I wanted to be. Close to the Westerbahnhof and shopping districts. It's got good public transport links and there are supermarkets and restaurants around at reasonable prices when you are travelling on a budget.

All in all if I was going back to stay in Vienna, I would be happy to go back to this hotel.

Good Hotel

The Hotel was perfectly fine. Location was good, not too far from public transportation and near several restaurants. It was nothing fancy, but the price was right. I would stay here again.

Great location when arriving & departing by Train - Westbahnhoff approx 10 mins walk
Staff fantastically helpful with luggage
Have to take metro into the city and back again - not too expensive.
We stayed for 2 nights with 1 day in Vienna but we needed to be close to the train station.
We didn't do too much walking down the street it's located on at night, so didn't find any decent restaurants to eat at. Plenty of take aways & supermarkets which is perfect for an apartment hotel.
We had a Penthouse Suite with balcony which was superb. Very clean & spacious.
Would certainly stay again if travelling by train but if arriving by air would probably stay more central to get more sight - seeing in.
Felt very safe as to female travellers (daughter (20's) & mother (60's))

Another great stay at Stanys

I stayed here for pleasure between Christmas and New Years and was in the Elephant room. I loved the room. It was quite large with separate dining/living room, bathroom, and bedroom. There was a lso a full kitchenette that made it conventient to have own breakfast and snacks in the room. Wifi is free and easy to access. Pillows and mattress was comfortable. Shower had good pressure and was enclosed with shower door. Highly recommend the elephant room and staying at STANYs.

A very convenient hotel with all amenities you could need. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is extremely well sited for all trains,trams etc. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for pleasure. I stayed in double monkey room. It was very clean and comfortable. Great Wi Fi and free too. The room was light and airy. It also had a balcony and a refrigerator. No complaints. Good location near shops, restaurants, and public transportation. Highly recommend.

Stanys Das Apartmenthotel in Vienna.

Booked for this hotel for a weekend city break to Vienna. Arrived late for check-in but the receptionist was friendly enough to drive back to the hotel and get keys for us. Registration was hassle-less, less than 3 minutes I'm in the very spacious room (or more likely like a studio). The windows facing the road and great curtain which blocks sunlight in the morning. Overall the stay is really pleasant, breakfast option is available downstairs from early morning till 10 am with extra pay. But along the Mariahilfer Strasse, there are countless shops/cafe u can hop on to depending on your preference. Laptop can be easily borrowed from the receptionist.
Check out is hassle-less again, we left our luggages with them during check out and retrieve them in the evening before heading to the airport. The hotel is like 5 mins walk away from Westbarnhof train and bus station. In front of the hotel, there is also tram station (we didn't explore much on tram though).

Spacious and convenient

I would say this place is better than average because of it's spacious room. Decor is simple but modern, uncluttered. Location was convenient as well, located right on Mariahilfer Strasse, a busy main street. West Banhof is about two tram stops away and so within walking distance. One of the drawbacks, no AC in the room, they provided a fan when requested and that helped. Actually it turned better this way as with the fan we could leave the windows open for fresh air.

A number of restaurants and supermarkets and cafes in the area, including one pastry place right next door that opens early for breakfast, serving fresh baked goods and coffee. A couple of supermarkets in the area as well as restaurants. There's a chain pastry/bakery located in the West Banhof that serves a variety of mouth watering baked goods, etc. fresh and hot from the oven.

Staff was friendly, particularly the gentleman whos name starts with a C, sorry don't remember the full name. The other gentleman Andreas, was always prompt in responding to email enquiries.

Overall, a nice place to stay. Wouldn't mind going back again and this is a hotel I'd recommend to friends.

Great but not soundproof

Almost everything was as expected. Nice room, great service, awesome breakfast, free secured parking. Only one thing was bothering us - door-side soundproofing. You can hear everyone walking on the stairs. Also we were close to the kitchen area, so starting 5AM we could hear pans and pots.

Fun, funky decor - a refreshing hotel

I loved this hotel/apartment . I was travelling as a single and very used to tiny European rooms however this room was huge and decorated in a minimal \"cool\" style ... very refreshing. The staff were helpful and the complimentary drinks were appreciated. The reception had a small bar and gave a friendly, fun vibe. The location was great, out of the city centre but close to transport and on an excellent shopping street. The room was warm which was important as the temperature outside was -5 and snowing heavily! Very good value, I would stay there again.

Lovely Gem--Would definitely return!

My stay at the Stanys was a lovely experience. The staff was wonderful. The room was spacious and sparsely, but well furnished. I very much appreciated the refrigerator in the room. Also, one entire wall was windows so it was very bright and breezy. One thing to keep in mind and to prepare for is that the norm in Vienna is not to have air conditioning! They do have a limited number of fans and I would advise that you pin them to save you one in advance as I didn't get one until the last day! Also, cable only has CNN in terms of English TV so you have to be a news junkie if you're into TV. In addition, at all cost, avoid the Vietnamese restaurant that is down the street to the left as you're facing away from the hotel. I got the worst food poisoning in my life and all my years and 40+ countries of travel. Otherwise, the neighborhood was wonderful, lively and had every type of shop imaginable, and the hotel was only about 3 city blocks from the very convenient Metro.

Zentral gelegen, Nähe Westbahnhof. Die Appartements sind sehr gross, sauber und in der Küchenecke hat es alles, damit man sich selber verpflegen kann. Tägliche Reinigung der Zimmer. Man schläft sehr gut in den Betten. Eigentlich ein Geheimtip, zum sich günstig in Wien aufzuhalten.
