Unfortunately, the pictures do not match reality. For example, a coffee machine is shown in the standard rooms, but it is not actually there – you have to upgrade to get one.

In addition, they charged 4 euros for a single glass of hot water, which seems unreasonable. After 10:00 PM, it is also not possible to get plates or cutlery, even if you have brought your own food.

The room also had a tendency to smell sour, which negatively affected the experience.

On the positive side, the location is good and the breakfast was okay – but definitely nothing special. The filter coffee was lukewarm.

Overall, a mediocre experience where expectations were set higher than what was delivered.

Hotel very nicely presented and very conveniently located for exploring Vienna. The room was abit dated and the shower in the bathroom was a tad grimy if looked closely at however this could be because housekeeping was not done everyday as it was to be requested by the guests when desired during their stay which could have result in this level of cleaniness in the bathroom to occur. However could not fault anything else and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice pleasant hotel for their stay in Vienna. Also liked that gluten free bread was available at breakfast

The friendly front desk staff and location of the hotel were both excellent. However, the cleanliness of the room was not. I stayed for two nights, and each night/morning had cold symptoms - runny nose, sneezing, sore throat - that would disappear after leaving the room to explore the city. Only upon packing my items to check out did I find the source of my symptoms - large amounts of mold hidden behind the window curtains on the walls / around the window. It was such a large amount that it had clearly been growing for weeks or months. For the sake of my health I would not stay here again.

Bra läge för vidare äventyr. Nära till Ubahn. Utanför entrén väntar en av Wiens största shoppinggator på en.
Rymligt rum med alla nödvändigheter. Rent badrum med stor dusch.
Vältalig och hjälpsam personal då jag önskade lämna min väska vid utcheckning för att hämta senare under eftermiddagen.
Frukosten innehöll allt man kan förvänta sig. Personalen fyllde ständigt på faten och den juicen var nog min favorit.
Det ända negativa med detta hotellet var att jag inte kunde koppla min telefon till tvn och var därför begränsad till tyska tv kanaler.

Moved twin bed together, found plenty of nail cuttings. Request for type of room ignored in booking and at reception. No soap in room, and asking for it to be refilled next day after I used my own supplies, it wasn't. Complained to reception, it took 10 mins to find soap!!! Quite a queue at reception as only one person on, and looking for soap due basic failings.

Room really suffers from lack of sound proofing, you hear everybody coming out of lift and walking past, they may as well be in the room.

Intercity Hotel has the perfect location to stay in Vienna!! Lots of shops and restaurants within a very short walk. Public transportation is also extremely close!! The room was exactly what we needed, and was clean and safe.
We did have one issue that was not addressed. There was a leak in a ceiling vent. When the leak started, there was a steady stream of water for about a minute. This started on our last day there. We showed staff a video of the water, as it would happen frequently. They said they would have house keeping look at it. But nothing was done prior to our check out. The water woke me up several times during the night.
I wish something had been done.

I stayed from Friday to Sunday.

I was expecting somebody to clean my room on Saturday. I went out on Saturday morning and when I returned to my room on Saturday night I realised my room was NOT cleaned.

Therefore I had to use the towels I had thrown onto the floor on Sunday morning. Because on Sunday morning I asked the reception for a towel, I waited for one hour and nobody came!

I spent over 120 euros per night here and I don’t get my room serviced? I’ve had better in cheaper hotels.

Even though the hotel is located on a convenient location, we were immediately met with an overwhelmed and shorthanded front desk staff who were clearly saturated by the amount of guests in the hotel.

It was common for no personnel to be available on the front desk during the entire day.

Unfortunately, we found unsanitary conditions in both of the rooms that we booked - in one case with dirty and broken linen, hairs on the bed and even a small cockroach in one of the rooms. Also, the air conditioning unit in one of our rooms was not working at all.

When asking for assistance, the staff on-site (when we were able to find one), only apologized and mentioned that he could not do anything at all until the next day.

Overall, we had a terrible experience with this particular hotel and would not recommend it to anyone.

This hotel is a little far from the central city so you need to take several buses/ train sometimes to get to major destinations. The hotel was clean, the AC was working but because of the heat wave I was still hot. The staff was ok. The metro/train station at night is a little sketchy so be careful.

Do not recommend for light sleepers.

The location of the hotel is good. However, the front desk staff was not helpful. I had asked if there was a fridge in the hotel room but the staff said no. I needed this for medicine that needs to be kept cool. When I got to the room, there was a fridge and instead of two single beds we got one double bed. The WiFi was very slow and unreliable, so it was unusable. The construction was happening next to the building so it woke us up very early. We were given a room that had the adjoining door that opens to a neighbouring hotel room. We don't know the neighbour and we can hear them snoring and doing x-rated things which made us very uncomfortable. I do not recommend this hotel.

Good, other than my laptop and wallet got trapped in the room safe - battery needed replacing but no-one had a key to the battery compartment. Managed to get the safe open but was then not usable until engineers available next morning. Lost about 2hrs of work. Batteries should be checked regularly.

Christmas market weekend

Hotel was well located near Westbahnhof station for all transport links. We arrived at 2 pm, we found the receptionist a little abrupt telling us the room wasnt ready and to leave our case and come back later. When we did come back it was to a warmer welcome. Only 1 lift worked so at times there was a bit of a wait, we did locate the step but they brought you out in a service corridor so not sure guests are allowed to use them? Other than this the stay was very pleasant.

Upon arrival, the reception worker claimed our reservation did not exist, although we provided a printed resrevation and receipt. She sent us to a tiny, unventilated, courtyard room with no air conditioning, regardless of the fact we reserved and paid for an apartment, with street view and air conditioning. Luckily, the following morning we found a responsible adult at reception and were transfered to the apartment we paid for. One more thing - the breakfast room is way too small. When ariving there after 7:30 in the morning we had to choose between eating breakfast standing, or skip breakfast at the hotel and buying it somewhere else where there are available seats.

This hotel is in an excellent location. At the top of a very busy shopping street, with bars and restaurants all the way along and off the side-streets too.

The cities underground has stations around the corner, tram lines and stops outside. All museums and main tourist attractions are within a 30 minute walk (maximum), including the main Vienna city centre.

Staff are pleasant, rooms clean and the hotels restaurant does a solid breakfast. Really cannot complain about this hotel, and it's locality.

My \"Unforgettable\" Experience at IntercityHotel

Dear fellow travelers,

I recently had the pleasure of staying at IntercityHotel Wien from July 12 to July 13, and I must say it was a truly unique experience.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a surprise leakage issue in my room, complete with a creatively placed water bin as the centerpiece.

The air conditioning system seemed to have its own unique approach to climate control, offering a warm and cozy ambiance throughout the night.

The hotel staff graciously relocated me to another room at the charming hour of 2 am, allowing me to savor every moment of this extraordinary stay.

To top it off, I had the privilege of an early check-out at 6 am, making the most of my unforgettable time at IntercityHotel Wien.

If you're in the mood for a truly remarkable and memorable stay, I highly recommend giving IntercityHotel Wien a try.

I’ve stayed at this location many times as the location is perfect. Close to a UBahn station and the Maria Hilfe staße. The hotel used to offer a free city transport voucher. The hotel is starting to show it’s age. However, despite this because of the location I will continue to stay at the Intercity Hotel.

A very convenient location for central Vienna and sited on the main shopping street.
Rooms are comfortable and clean.
We did not have the breakfast this time but there is a lovely bakery very close by. The nearby area is full of lots of smaller independent shops and makes for a great wander around.
Our second stay here and we would return.

Rooms are a little bit on the cramp size, but clean with good shower, air con struggled to work in high summer temperatures. Daily bell ringing from the Church next to the hotel could be noticeable heard.

During our first night here the air conditioner in our unit leaked. When it leaked it soaked my baby’s car seat/stroller. We couldn’t hit the City without the stroller so we were forced to leave the room a lot later than we wanted to as we had to dry the stroller with a blow dryer before going out. Not only this but the air conditioner stopped working and the leak was constant throughout the night. We brought the issue to management’s attention and they did nothing to accommodate us, no room change, no fix, no refund, nothing. I’m not one to complain, but this was pretty ridiculous. The location is great but the rooms and management are not. I suggest looking at Ruby Marie Hotel and Bar across the street to avoid any headaches. They have much better service and rooms.

This is my choice for a hotel whenever I am in Vienna.
The bed pillows are paper thin and do not allow enough head support during sleep.
Since most of the guests are non German speakers, it would be considerate to open up English speaking TV channels. [CNN is not a channel for entertainment].
Other than that, the location, reliability, safety and the room [we chose the apartment for extra comfort] are excellent.

Worst night manager ever

Worst check in ever with night manager, very rude person. We arrived late at 2am and had to find another hotel because of Covid-19 test. It was less 72h but he requested less than 48h.
I’m sure we could find a friendly solution and not be kick out at 2am. We had to drive off 3h30m to our next destination. I would request refund if I get charge for the two rooms please
