Location was great. Station was very close. Shops were right behind the hotel. Huge hotel so long walks from reception to room (depending on which rom you get). Weird thing was no body wash in the shower area. Only shampoo. No conditioner also. Toiletries were not the way I expected at a Park Hotel. Other than this, all was good.

Positives - room and food were good. Lovely, helpful porter. However, check in very slow - we arrived @ 2pm - told to come back @ 3pm, by which time there was a long queue! Restaurant service very slow on evening that we were heading out to a concert. Biggest issue was dangerous shower over bath - exit via sloping end around fixed shower panel, with grab rail at other end! My husband slipped resulting in large bruise. Despite this, hotel were unable to provide non-slip mat.

Loved this place because of its location. Few steps from the train and bus station. 10 to 15 minutes walk to Schonbrunn Palace. A mini strips of all sorts of restaurant. The only minus points about this hotel was, sound proofing is terrible. I was awaken by the next door guest, every time they drag their chairs. The Hallway was beautifully maintained with beautiful flower set up. The room was immaculate clean and the smell of a seemed like fresh flowers lingers everywhere. This was Lovely. But.. when you go down towards the 3000 block hallway, it has an undesirable smell/ odour. It’s a TURN OFF . Hope they can address this, for future guests to leave with best memories of this hotel.

Spacious rooms, separate toilet from bathroom. Hotel is steps from metro station, many cafes and restaurants around, very good deal for the price.
Check in was not smooth, arrived early and couldn’t get the room till after 3, the A/C is terrible, only fan
Bit far from the center, 7 stops by metro, walking to great Schonbrunn palace.
Vienna is a great city with wonderful heritage, very safe

The hotel is very nice and has been updated fairly recently. The staff were very rude and didn’t speak good English at all even though most people in Vienna speak great English. The location is nice because it’s a little out of town so it’s not so loud and crowded. It’s right by the metro and about a 15 minute straight shot to the main area of Vienna.

A very pleasant overnight stay in a lovely area of Vienna. We were in the less grand part of the hotel, but it was very comfortable nonetheless with a nice garden and view of the church. Bit of a shame that Netflix wasn’t working on the TV, but a minor point really. Beds particularly comfortable and plenty of local cafes and bars to enjoy — as well as the park and palace of course! Would recommend.

The foyer is stunning when you enter, but building is older. Room was clean. The 1st room I was in first night had an extremely loud guest above me, past 12am, not much sound proofing. But Barbara was very kind & helpful when I asked to move to top floor room. She made it happen because a guest check out. Staff were all very helpful.

The location is great! Just across the street from an entrance to the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace. The breakfast was very good. Rooms were overall clean and comfortable. Could use a refresher on wall paint. My only frustration was with checking in. We arrived in the morning from the US. They fortunately allowed us to leave our luggage but, would absolutely not consider checking in until 3 pm. When we got back to check in we waited at least 40 minutes and then informed that our room was not ready. Made for a very long day. They did give us another room after complaining about having to wait longer. Seems like starting the check in process for early arrivers would reduce the wait time for 3 pm check in. I would have paid extra. There had to have been rooms ready before 3.

Hotel was average, booked a premium room for amazing experience, asked for a quiet room and nice view, hotel replied saying they can offer nice view or quiet room, I asked for quiet room, we arrived after a very long day of travel. They put us on the very busy, noisy street side. Was very hot and humid in room around 11pm, aircon didn't work, we couldn't call reception, because there was no phone in the room, my husband had to get dressed and walk to reception, they said aircon doesn't work if outside temp. is below 21 \"green hotel\" no more phones in rooms. you have to call reception. We had to leave the doors open; it was NOISY people talking in the street like they were in our room on the 4th floor. Terrible sleep experience, how do you call reception if you are a tourist and cannot make local phone calls. Big and busy hotel was expecting, quiet more character. Our premium room which we paid top dollar for had an extra day bed in, how do you not remove the extra day bed, when a couple book a room, very off putting when you enter the room and look and walk right into a day bed. Plus, you have to pay a fee to use the gym, really at this rate, you cannot include the gym? Most expensive hotel on our trip, was our last evening and I wanted it to be a special treat, very disappointing.

This hotel is well-located right beside the Schoenbrunn palace and the metro station where you can take the U4 line directly to city centre to see the rest of the sites. I was given a large, comfortable room with a balcony on the ground floor which I appreciated, and the room was air conditioned which was a relief as the weather was very hot when I stayed. The card reader on the inside of the room was a bit loose - it took a few attempts to align my key so that the room would connect to power. The restaurant has really nice traditional Austrian dishes and there are some nice cafes and bakeries nearby.

The place is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location is excellent; close to the metro and trams. The staff were friendly and helpful in giving us directions and advice. The restaurant attached is lovely and the food is delicious. The neighborhood offers shopping and great dining. The Schonbrunn palace is just one stop away on the metro and well worth the visit, along with Beethoven's home and the oldest Viennese restaurant. The zoo is across the street with incredible gardens and fountains. We loved our stay. Vienna is magical.

I have stayed in countless hotels around the world, and I’ve also stayed at several hotels in Vienna. However, the reception service at this hotel was terrible.
A receptionist named MARIKA was horrible and extremely rude.
On the same day, my key card stopped working twice. In the morning, a male staff member gave me a new key card. Then, around 8 PM, when I returned from the city, the key card stopped working again.
I went back to the reception desk, and the employee named MARIKA immediately spoke to me in an irritated tone, asking, “Did you keep the key next to your phone?” as if it was entirely my fault.
I was honestly shocked by her attitude, tone, and way of speaking.
If guests should avoid placing the key card near a phone because of magnetic issues, then the hotel staff should explain that in advance. When I visited reception earlier that morning, the male staff member never mentioned anything about it.
Instead, this employee acted annoyed at me and blamed me for something nobody had explained beforehand.
I even asked her if she could be a little friendlier and nicer, but instead of apologizing, she insisted that she had done nothing wrong.
I was genuinely speechless. This was by far the rudest hotel service experience I have had in Vienna, and it says a lot about the standard of this hotel

Very clean and comfortable rooms that felt luxurious. Conveniently located a few blocks from subway and bus stop, yet felt safe and quiet. Plenty of bakeries, restaurants and stores nearby. Also enjoyed a lovely dinner one night at the hotel that exceeded our expectations . Another perk was a five minute walk to the palace gardens to enjoy evening walks. Overall a very pleasant stay that I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The hotel was fabulous and in a really good location for visiting attractions whilst staying out of the really busy areas. The staff were wonderful , in particular , the girl at the cooked breakfast station. I didn’t get her name , I think she said she was Polish. She was so happy, friendly and positive - an absolute credit to the hotel.

It was a nice stay for me and my wife. Very central and convenient location. Bathroom is gorgeous with a nice free-standing bathtub that my wife enjoyed. It’s an older building and floors throughout our room were very squeaky. Bed was ok. Breakfast was really good. I would probably stay there again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and it works for me very well with regards to logistics and its strategic location.
It’s easy to reach by tube from the city cat from the airport.You can also be in the city centre within tens minutes by tube and there’s also a great tram network on the doorstep helping exploring easy.
The only downside I’ve noticed is sound proofing from the corridor , especially the tiled floor in the superior room block , making it echo and noisy when you’re trying to sleep. I’ve stayed in rooms where there is carpet corridors and that seems to be better , also had rooms with inner doors which helped.
Saying that , love the hotel and location and will be back later in the year.

We arrived after a transatlantic flight and were happy thst the room was ready- but then one staff came over and said she couldn’t give us the room until at least 12 noon (?), unless we paid an extra 50 euro. I can understand if the room isn’t ready, that happens - but if it’s ready what is the point in making us wait? That kind of soured our experience unfortunately.

I can only rate the section of hotel that we were put in which was an added on building. We wete highly disappointed yo not be in the main building. Our area had a sewage smell that was terrible. We had to leave the patio door open. As a result, we had the sound of people rolling their luggage through the pathway right behind our patio at all hours.
On a good note, we loved the area. Nice area for walking and exploring.

The hotel staff was very unfriendly. Also the room had two lights that were out and a broken shower drain plug. I let the front desk know but they didn’t do anything to address the situation. On the positive side: the breakfast is amazing, the location is excellent and close to the train, and cafe is delicious.

We stayed here for one week, a great hotel, nice and helpful staff. However, a bit far from the action. We didn’t mind it but to go back and forth with Uber to DT became a bit pricey. A train pass was the better option but we realized it later. However, the hotel was very clean, breakfast buffet was for the kings and overall we loved it.

Close to both public transport and Schonbrun Palace, this hotel was beautiful to stay at. The hotel feels grand, great location, reception staff were very helpful. The room sized was great, depending on type of room, if you had balcony access, you could watch NYE fireworks from your room. The only negative thing is the floor is quite dusty, as it seems they don’t vacuum or mop.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay for Christmas 2025. The hotel was lovely and decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with lots of different options. The hotel is located opposite Schönbrunn Palace Gardens and is two minutes walk from Hietzing underground station where the U4 takes you into the centre of Vienna. We would highly recommend this hotel. We had a Superior Room and it was worth it for the extra space.

No shampoo or conditioner. When asked at the reception they told me they will send someone, only for the person to bring body cream and to tell me there is no shampoo or conditioner. The following day I put the card for the room to be cleaned up and even at that point the soap was not refilled and still no hair products and only the beds were made. Access cards stopped working and we had to wait for the engineer to fix it. The hotel needs a lot of tlc. The reality is that I would not stay here again. Breakfast was good-however you do have to pay for it.

My stay at the Austria Trend Hotel Schönbrunn was excellent from start to finish. The hotel offered a perfect balance of comfort and convenience. The location is ideal—just steps from Schönbrunn Palace and gardens, with easy access to public transportation that makes exploring Vienna simple and stress-free.

My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing a quiet retreat after full days of sightseeing. The bed was excellent, as was the shower!

Did not have breakfast in the hotel!
I had a classic room which was quite basic!
Wall paintwork was dirty, pillows were the cheapest of the cheap, leaving me have poor quality of sleep during my stay. Lastly and more importantly I had plumbing issues where the sink basin was blocked!
Twice I had to alert reception about the issue before it was resolved! Tea/ coffee were never replaced in the room! I had to go to reception to ask for these.

I am extremely disappointed by the way I was treated. I became violently ill the day before I was scheduled to travel from Budapest to Vienna and asked the hotel to either refund my stay or simply postpone it by a few days. While I understand if a refund wasn’t possible, there is absolutely no excuse for refusing a basic level of compassion and flexibility in postponing the reservation.

I travel from Washington, D.C., and my team regularly uses this hotel when conducting official business in Vienna—but it will now be removed from our department’s approved list. A simple act of kindness would have gone a long way. Instead, the hotel kept my payment, re-rented my room, and was effectively paid twice. They must be having financial problems to do this. Very disappointing treatment of a customer.
