Spending more time traveling up and down escalators. Since there is no drop-off for the hotel itself we had to park our car for 1 hour just for dropping off the baggage.
Room is smaller than expected and there is no room to open baggage.

It's a premier hotel inside the Sakuramachi shopping center. The central bus terminal is in the building as well. It's 10-15 minutes walk to Kumamoto Castle and Tsuruya department store. If it had a self-service laundry, it would be perfect!

Staff with good service, clean room with a great view of the castle. Very convenient location as it is within a mall. Parking is in the multistorey opposite which made loading unloading of suitcases difficult. Breakfast spread was very average, not a lot of choices.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was a little uncomfortable as the sheet didn't cover the whole mattress and so kept rising and bunching during the night, exposing the mattress protector. The hotel is also very poorly sign posted from the entrance of the shopping mall

Hotel is located on top of a shopping mall and a 3min walk to the main shopping arcade. Tram lines are 3 min walk. Bus terminal is underneath the hotel.
Reception is on 14th floor, with hotel rooms located on floors 5-13.
No room service.
Staff are helpful. Many restaurants in short walking distance.

The Koko Hotel was our favorite place to stay in Japan. The room was styled nicely and clean. It was the perfect location in Kumamoto - shopping and food were in the complex downstairs. Kumamoto Castle was a very short walk. The hotel buffett was amazing and reasonably priced.

We had a nice stay at Koko hotel. The hotel is conveniently located to transit access and on top of a mall. Walking distance to the castle. Lots of food options and shopping. The room was spacious and quiet. We did not spend much time in the room as we used Kumamoto as a home base for day trips. We would stay here again and recommend to others

KOKO Hotel is conveniently located in a shopping and convention center, close to the castle and downtown areas. The room was very well equipped and large for Japanese standards. Staff very kind and helpful. I happily recommend the place.

Great location and service. We arrived early and was able to leave our luggages at the reception area until the check-in time.

The hotel is right next to canal city so it's very convenient for shopping.

The only negative thing I would say about this hotel is the cigarette smell at the reception area. You can smell it straight away after walking into the hotel. Instead of having the smoking room near the reception area, maybe they can try to relocate their smoking room to somewhere else?

As with other Japanese hotels, toiletries were provided but this hotel went the extra mile - there were bath salts as well as hair serum capsules. So thoughtful!

A nice newer hotel in downtown Kumamoto. It’s right on top of the Sakuramachi mall and the bus terminal, a very convenient location. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. However, the lobby is on the 14th floor and there is no concierge or bellboy on the main entrance (which is actually on the second floor of the parking of the mall) and no signs outside on the streets, so it’s rather confusing for people driving using GPS to look for the hotel (it just tells you you have arrived on the street next to the mall, but there are no signs of the hotel outside the mall). Once you found the entrance to the parking of the mall and get into the mall, then it’s easy to see signs directing you to the hotel entrance.

New, comfortable and convenient stay!

I just loved staying here - it was the most comfortable hotel in my trip to kyushu. The hotel is new and clean, the furnishings and design has a luxurious feel, the pillows and bed was so comfortable that I slept well. The location is super convenient - I walked to all the main sights and shopping areas in Kumamoto, also it is located above the bus station and shopping mall - so it was easy to get to the Kumamoto train station and to get food. The last day was raining heavily, I was glad that I didn’t have to bring the luggage in the rain - it was all sheltered from the hotel to the bus to the train station. I could see the castle from my room, which made staying in very pleasant!

Hotel is in a shopping mall and it’s very convenient from Kumamoto Station either by bus or local tram within 10-15 mins. Our deluxe king room was spacious and well maintained. There’s shopping alley and eateries across the road which made the whole area very lively at night.

有分飯店內/外電梯。內電梯僅供飯店內房間通行，保全算夠。

便利な立地、防音性の高い部屋、静かに過ごせてとても良かったです。タオルやゴミ袋など一式ドアノブにかけて下さるエコ清掃は全く問題ないのですが、こちらがまだ慣れておらず…アップデートが必要ですね。西の聖地「湯らっくす」に行かれる方は地下のバスターミナルからバスに乗ると便利です。

若干のプラス料金のおすすめ、スーペリアツインに泊まりましたがお部屋が大変広々していて窓際に大きなソファがあり、そちらから熊本城と下を見ると公園が見えて爽快です。

お部屋には必要なものが全て揃い、もちろん清潔です。新しい施設でとても快適でした。しいていえば小さなフェイスタオルもあると良いかもです。そして、お風呂の水圧もバッチリでした。

アメニティはフロントで貸し出しの小さなエコバッグにあれこれ選べるサービスがありこれもたのしかったです。

夜にはライトアップされた熊本城が見えて
おかげさまで素敵な旅になりました。

客室は清潔で充分な広さがありました。
バスルームは小さいながら洗い場があり、寒い季節であったため浴槽にお湯を溜めてゆっくり温まることができました。
朝食に行った際窓側席は埋まっており、二列目の席を案内されましたが、途中で窓側が空いたので移動を勧めてくださり、熊本城を眺めながらゆっくり食事できました。
残念ながら少しだけ不満を感じた点があります。フロントの対応です。このホテルは2階がエントランスでフロント直通のエレベーターで14階へ上がります。客室は別のエレベーターでおります。外へ出るときは一旦14階のフロント階へ上がってから乗り換えて降りる仕組みですがチェックインの際その案内がありませんでしたので少し戸惑いました。
次に清掃は3日ごととなつていたため2泊の私は清掃は入らないものと理解し、朝タオルとゴミ箱を出しておきましたが、外出後、部屋に入らないで欲しいという意味かという問い合わせの電話がありました。ドアに貼ってあるマグネットが出ていないのでということでしたが、帰ってから確認すると、起こさないでというものと掃除してくださいという2枚でした。
掃除不要、タオルとゴミ箱交換のみ希望の場合はどちらを貼ればよかったのでしょうか。
最後に、チェックアウト時キャリーケースの宅配を希望しましたが、サイズは?と聞かれました。サイズはホテル側が測るものではないのでしょうか。
客室やレストランスタッフの対応がよかったのですが、フロントスタッフに不満が残り、残念でした。

部屋や食事など全体的に素晴らしかったです。また泊まりたい。

1点気になったのは、チェックインの際、住所入力のため郵便番号を尋ねられ、口頭で住所を確認、さらに番地を口頭で伝えるのは、このご時世にプライバシーの面でちょっとどうなのだろうかと思いました。

Regarding the room tidiness and personal service are fully satisfied. The deduction points for overall experience go to the insufficient hotel entrance and parking navigation that i need to spend over 20min to walk thru the shopping mall to identify the hotel entrance then consult the front desk crew to indicate the parking entrance with another 15min spent. Afterwards I noticed tooth brush is not included and caused me another troublesome to buy a new set.

またバスセンターの真上の建物なので、移動が便利です。
