Our stay was from Friday-Sunday and pretty uneventful until Sunday. On Sunday morning we went down for breakfast the pancake maker had a sign stating ingredients to make pancakes were out of stock, the yogurt machine was empty and there were no eggs. We were told that they would bring more out however several of the guest waited an extremely long extended time for that to be done long enough that many decided to give up.

Upon arrival, the front desk clerk, Priyanka, informed me that the hotel had experienced a lightning strike and the computer systems were down and the elevators didn’t work. We were then informed that we were on the 4th floor…

When we got to our room the A/C wasn’t working and we thought it was broke until we realized it was just not turned on. Some of the soap and shampoo dispensers weren’t filled up and there wasn’t a closet or microwave available. We understood that the lightning strike was out of their control and they also seemed understaffed. We spelt well and we were glad that the breakfast tasted good at least. However, we probably won’t return to this specific hotel in the future though.

Don’t stay here until they fix a couple of things . They say lightening struck the building a month ago so the tv won’t work , the inside pool pump is broke and cold, breakfast was low quality even though I think that had nothing to do with the lightning. Rooms wasn’t the cleanest. This the worse TRU experience I have had and they only been open for two years . Wow

We had a pretty good stay, but did run into slight issues. Upon arrival we were charged twice for our room and had to get a refund. Then once we got situated in our room, the tv and WiFi was not working because of a “lightning strike” and had to get switched to a smaller room but with a working tv. But besides those slight issues we had the room was very clean and relaxing, and had nice amenities.

The hotel it self appeared to be newer. We asked for wash cloths and hand towels and never received a response for about 3-4 hours. When staff finally responded to us, we were already in bed and was pointless.
Staff said they did not have any wash cloths or hand towels.
Thumbs down. Nothing was done to rectify the issues.

Bathroom was too small, some dude was camped out in the lobby the entire time we were there(3 days), but wasn’t an employee. Also the outer doors did not shut properly leading to us comming down to wide open door to the outside so that any of the transients that where around the hotel (there where many) could have just walked in at anytime. I will more than likely look for an IHG hotel next time and not a Hilton.

We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool and were greatly disappointed when we were told upon arrival that it wasn’t heated, and it was winter. My wife was literally electrically shocked while operating the electrical shades. Breakfast was ok

Have been at other Tru hotels and this one pales in comparison. Not as clean as other locations, poor snack selection, nothing even remotely healthy, poor service. Asked for a wake-up call, never received it, asked for a
Room refresh, no one ever came. Room not cleaned at all despite promise of every other day. Cleaning. Very disappointed. Breakfast wasn’t good. Coffee didn’t taste fresh. No yogurt. OJ was good but that is it.

Every single thing about this place was terrible other than the front desk assistants! First room the gave us, the bed was completely broken on one side, and smelled like weed!! Switched rooms. Next room smelled funky, decided not to make a big deal about it as it was already late. Bed was ROCK hard. Walls and ceilings were paper thin!! Could hear everything and was so loud!!! Meaning terrible sleep on top of the mattress issue. Coffee in the morning was so weak and tasted completely watered down. Pancake machine wasn't working. The only thing they had at the marketplace was a couple of ramen! Everything was crappy. Would NEVER stay again. They didn't even have cups for the work out room. Elevators were dirty, there was hair on our ceiling in the bathroom!! When we told the cleaners about it, he said he would clean it and left half of em still there!! So gross. Never will stay again.

First, our room was not as clean as it should have been. We stayed from Thursday through Sunday, and during that time, housekeeping never came to service our room—not once. We had to take our own trash out to prevent it from overflowing, even after I specifically asked housekeeping staff who were cleaning our floor.

The pool table and game area were also not available like they are at other Tru locations. Additionally, having to show my driver’s license to check out the pool table was frustrating. Once I am checked in, I should not have to carry my ID around the hotel.

We specifically chose this location because it advertised an indoor heated pool. Unfortunately, the pool was extremely cold. I brought this issue to the attention of three different staff members, and it was never addressed.

Breakfast was another disappointment. On our first morning, the pancake machine was broken, and on our last day, the toaster oven was not working. Food frequently ran out, and we had to wait for items to be refilled. Although egg toppings were listed, they were never available. The coffee also did not seem fresh—it was very dark, bitter, and difficult to drink.

Overall, this was by far the worst-maintained Tru hotel we have ever stayed at.

That said, the staff member who checked us in was excellent—very friendly, helpful, and professional. They even followed up to see whether the pool issue had been addressed, which we truly appreciated.

I like the Tru by Hilton Hotels. Check in was super easy. I requested a room on the back side of the building because the restaurants/bars on the parking lot side have LOUD music, and the clerk made that happen, so that was AWESOME. We couldn't hear the music at all. The problem we had was, there was no caffeinated coffee for the next morning. The market seemed to be very low on stock, but we didn't need anything from there, it was just an observation. There were no bagels left at breakfast. There may have been other items that were out also. Other than that, it was an ok stay. Again, VERY thankful for the check-in clerk giving us a quieter room on request.

Good area with restaurants within a few feet and shopping plaza within 1-2 miles for convenience. Disappointed upon arrival with the cleanliness off room. Had to switch to another room that was up to par. Disappointed that housekeeping only comes every other day which was an inconvenience. Bedding had a body odor stench which was unacceptable and had to request for clean bedding. When housekeeping did come, cleanliness of floors was still not up to par. (Dirt and particles left behind). Lobby was dirty for days with garbage bins in hallways left foil with foul smells for days. Breakfast area wasn’t maintained with cleanliness during and after open hours. Seemed like front desk was in charge of keeping that area clean which was not done efficiently nor professionally. The storing away of the remainder of breakfast food was EXTREMELY concerning as it wasn’t properly handled nor stored away with proper equipment. The exposure to cross contamination was highly alarming. Floors were filthy with spills of liquid drinks and crumbs of food left for days before clean up. Same with elevators and garbage disposals on every floor near the elevators were left filled with garbage and foul odors. Front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating to their best abilities. Area seemed safe and convenient. This hotel is only Good for a short stay! My stay was 11days and wouldn’t suggest it to anyone. For this hotel to be connected with Hilton, it was disappointing.

When did they central location to DFW area? We are buying a car. This place worked out perfect. There are some questionable properties in the area, but this is a solid Hilton brand that can be trusted.

No problems and the staff was very polite and professional.

They understood our situation and were very accommodating with us coming in going and check out times, etc.

The shower has water running out from the door not being aligned, there was a lot of water on the floor when I stepped out and almost slipped. The pancake and yogurt machine never work, multiple times I have stayed here. Thr apple juice was not cold so that was gross. Very unhappy with this stay.

We were there four days. In the bathroom, they have a sign posted that they come in every other day and change out the towels and empty the trash. In four days, they never came to our room. It took me three request on the third day to get clean towels. I also emptied our trash and asked for another trash bag and they said they were out. At breakfast one morning they were out of plates and the server didn’t offer any suggestions until one of the guests said “ do you have bowls?” At that time the server said yes I have bowls. I can bring out bowls. I would just say Service overall was a little bit lacking. They were also out of body wash in the shower dispenser and when I asked if we could get a new dispenser, they said they were sorry but they were out of body wash currently.

The hotel is very pretty, but needs better management.
Breakfast...juice machine never worked. Food presentation terrible. We tried it once and never came back.
We asked for an extra blanket...they didn't had any, at all.
Corridor stunk, some quests were smoking weed. I reported it to front desk a few times.
Coffee bar always very dirty and ran out of supplies.
And the list goes on....very sad, we did not enjoy our stay.

Room was not cleaned daily or at all during the stay despite asking multiple times. They have a policy where they only clean every other day which is fine but I had to call AND come down to the front desk multiple times just to ask to get my room cleaned. When that didn't work, I ended up asking house keeping who was cleaning the room across from us to come in next. The breakfast is terrible. The yogurt machine and pancake machines don't work. This was not a Hilton style hotel. I'm very disappointed.

The breakfast had little variety in regards to my taste buds. The options were cereal, apples, oranges, boiled eggs, grits, pancakes, toast, bagels, egg omlet, and (eckridge) sausage sliced. Not sure if its the same everyday since the second day I didn't have time to even look before checking out of the hotel. There is many resturaunts right across the street, but convenient stores are not close by. The room was great. Beds are comfortable, especially the pillows. The rooms did not have carpet which is a plus in my opinion.(cant skip cleaning them without noticing) The place looks new or newly rennovated. Overall I took the time to write this review to help others find a suitable hotel that is comfortable and doesnt cost too much. Will be back to this one....
