The room i was given wasn’t the room i paid for. I thought the whole point of a reservation is for your room to be reserved. I was told i had to wait the next day to get the room i actually paid for. So technically i spent only 1 night in my room. Furthermore, the USB C ports in the room were not even working.

Room was clean and modern. The staff friendly and helpful. There was a blockage in the bathroom sink but it didn't bother me too much for one night. It was convenient to catch an early morning train from Milano Centrale. The hotel itself is nice but the area around it isn't great if you're there for more than one night.

The location is farther than expected—approximately a 20-minute walk from Milano Centrale. Commuting is not very convenient, as the nearest metro station is about a 10-minute walk away, and the nearby bus and tram services do not reliably follow their schedules. Additionally, the main entrance is not luggage-friendly, as there are approximately 12 steps to climb to enter the hotel.

The room itself was clean and modern. However, upon arrival, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, clearly left by a previous guest. I reported this to the reception desk, and while the staff member noted the issue and said someone would be sent to investigate, no one ever came to address it.

L’hébergement était plutôt bien, beaucoup de transport (pas toujours à l’heure). Bon petit déjeuner (peu de choix).
Mais ce qui est à revoir c’est l’hygiène, les draps sale n’était pas changé quand il le fallait !
Mais le personnel était très gentille et accueillant.
L’hygiène est le seul point à souligner.

One of the best hotels I have been in Italy. If you miss the comfort of being in the US, this is the place to stay. Amazing shower, space is great, close to the train station as well as the Duomo if you take the metro. We stay with our 7 & 3 yr old and we loved it! Breakfast was also great and convenient!

- ability to change the temperature of the aircon - 24 C is too high

We had a fantastic stay at JOY24. The location is unbeatable, a very brief walk from Milano Centrale station, which made exploring the city and catching trains incredibly easy. The room was modern, impeccably clean, and the bed was quiet comfortable. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. For a convenient, comfortable, and well-run stay in Milan, I would highly recommend it.

The night front desk staff is really great!! Super smiley and kind :) Great vibe!

The hotel is new and very aesthetically pleasing, designed to look high end. The bed is so so comfy so we had a great nights sleep!

The only downfall for me is the lack of complimentary water I fell like that would go a long way.

The area isn’t so pretty but very convenient! Metro and tram stop just a few minutes walk away. Most importantly, a great 24h garage parking for a great price

Asked for a room with a bath due to my sore bones but no reply and no bath constantly asking for the ac to be turned down from 24 to 18 for staff to lie they had done it and then turning it back . The lack of hot water coming out tap and shower only look warm never hot , never mind how long i let it ran being a heating engineer and train legionaries tester i was just being fobbed off just to save money on a plus all staff were fantastic

This place is definitely not family friendly. We booked a family room, but it was very small only about 15 by 15 feet—with no seating area. There was no coffee maker, no drinking water in room and the overall space was quite cramped. The staff was also very rude; when we asked for five pillows they only provided one.

We arrived late due to a flight cancellation. Despite this, they charged us for one night regardless of the situation. Also the pictures provide likely AI-generate are misleading, as the actual room is much smaller than what is shown.

Overall, our experience was disappointing.

Nice modern and clean hotel but the neighbourhood wasn’t as nice as I’d hoped. Not too far from the Metro and 10 minutes walk to Milan Central train station as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hairdryer didn’t work, but they got it sorted within minutes and made a steamer available as there were no irons in the rooms. Would recommend hotel to other couples and the large bed and air aircon made the stay comfortable.

This hotel falls short in several areas for a property rated \"four stars\"

The mattress was quite firm and very thin with only one pillow provided each and a lightweight blanket, which may not suit all guests’ preferences.

There were no in-room ironing facilities available; instead, guests are directed to a basement conference room where an iron is attached to a fixed chain, making it a little awkward to use.

Service at the reception could have been warmer and more engaging.

On a positive note, the location is convenient — within easy reach of the city centre and about a 15-minute walk to the Duomo.

Vi brukar aldrig klaga men denna gången måste vi. När vi kom till hotellet sa personalen att de skulle uppgradera oss till ett bättre rum. Vi skulle ha utsikt mot staden men hade bara mot ett hus sim var under renovering. Rummet var jätte dammigt. Tv:n kunde man inte titta på pga räckena som var framför sängarna. Duschen droppade hela natten. Vi ville i te ens ha en uppgradering på rummet. Inte värt hälften av pengarna vi gav. Allmänt hotellet var bra och frukosten och personalen var jättebra.

Our stay was mostly fine — nice location, and overall experience was positive. However, the major downside was that the electricity was cut off at 12:00 PM, exactly at check-out time, even though we had confirmed staying an extra hour.

They refused to turn it back on in the room, which was frustrating and totally unnecessary. It felt absurd, especially when we were still in the room with permission to stay longer.

That moment really soured the end of our stay, unfortunately. But aside from that issue, everything else was okay.

Joy 124 is a Beautiful, modern, minimalistic boutique hotel with super friendly staff. Upon checking I walked into a spotless/clean room; the overall common areas were clean. The breakfast buffet was well set and attended. It offered diverse options. The location, in my opinion very convenient, close to the Milano central station, metro stations and bus stops. There are bike rentals right outside the hotel. I felt safe walking in/out, and around the property. I loved it and I highly recommend.

Definitely deserving its 4*!

Would definitely stay here again! All the staff were so kind, helpful & patient, especially given the lang. barrier. The hotel is very clean & I felt safe solo. Great shower pressure + tempt too & I slept like a baby. (context I’m a Brit) the breakfast was the only significant let down - the pastries & range of pancakes + sweet foods were great! But the hot food: pancake, veg mix, sausage/beef balls & what appeared to be a variation of baked beans were cold & tasteless so I’d manage expectations or get breakfast elsewhere if I wanted meats.
The tiles on the some of the floors in the bedrooms may have a slight stain that looks like dirt (but the floor & everything else is immaculately cleaned). I raised this w/the staff & they explained that their builders messed up some tiles (the stains are like part of the tiles). As it was very obviously still a clean floor, I wouldn’t mind staying in a room with it at all. Just mentioning incase your room has it & it’s an initial shock lool

The hotel was too far from city centre for a sightseeing break which meant extra transport expense to get there. It only opened in March we were told, & it needed jobs finishing.
There were steep steps at the entrance to get into reception and no bannister/handrails to hold whilst trying to drag a heavy case in. There was no ramp either to help pull suitcases in or to help the disabled get in. When leaving the hotel, the large glass panels need some notification as to which one is the exit to avoid people walking into one of the other which do not open.
No Tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. No visible Fire notices on room entrance door. Sparse toiletries. No drawers and only two small shelves over the fridge. Needs a visible folder highlighting the room
and hotels facilities etc., like most hotel rooms have. Very noisy in mornings with workmen outside. The hotel was very clean but lacked atmosphere, quite dark and gloomy with no decoration ie pictures, ornament or flowers for example. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Didn’t have hot water available at all times which meant taking tepid showers. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of products. Would not return, sorry.

FEMALE SOLO TRAVELERS BEWARE
Our first night, we somehow had a couple managed to get into our room. The locks are odd and only lock in one slight direction, however, it seems maybe that any key can open any door.

Second night, there was construction in the room next to us at 5AM. This lasted until 6AM. Calling the front desk, they just said \"there was an emergency, it will be over soon\". No apologies or anything. Unacceptable.

Also stupid decisions like the light in the bathroom being motion activated. If you want to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, you'll have to deal with all the lights turning on.

The laundry was also not working on the days we were there, which was frustrating. There's also no soundproofing at all in the rooms.

Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the hotel. It is a aesthetically nice, but not somewhere I can recommend.

If you book this thinking you are getting luxury then think again. There is no tea/coffee in the room. No hand soap and poor quality bedding. Had one poor quality pillow. The room is clean and TV good but for me this is quite a basic hotel in terms of quality and stuff in the room. Glad we didn’t pay that much for it.

There was not iron board in the room, no water ,no coffee and hot water kettle in the room make a cup or tea,We did not get much information from the staff when we checked in.However the staff was good and really enjoyed the breakfast. Furthermore, this hotel is a good option to explore Milan as to get to the popular destinations it was easy as train stations are near the area which is only a maximum 15 minute walk and we were celebrating a birthday and the staff showed us great options to get sensational cakes.

We hadn’t realised that the hotel had only opened in March. Unfortunately the frontage was still being worked on and we had to be directed to an alternative entrance as the entrance was closed off and was a work site. This changed before we left and cleared. The bar/restaurant area was modern with very attentive staff. We had dinner twice. The food was prepared quickly and was tasty and well presented. We didn’t try the breakfast, at 16 Euros each, we walked along the road to an excellent cafe. The room was modern with a large, comfortable bed and adjoining en-suite shower room with power shower. There was no instructions visible regarding what to do in the event of a fire. We couldn’t use a credit card in the bar and had to pay on departure at reception. The hotel was within 9 minutes of the Metro and about 17 minutes from the Central Station. There were no drawers for clothes though there was a hanging rail for clothes. A mini bar and safe in room. No welcome pack about the hotel services, although a QR code gave brief details, some information for places to visit for tourists would be good. The hotel suited us well for the 3 nights we stayed.

I was looking for an affordable hotel during salone which is imposible this was my option thinking I may was not going to get something very nice, it did exceed my expectations from clean, look, location, staff, the housekeeper, and as an interior designer the design and aesthetic amazing. It is under construction but it didn’t bother me I didn’t hear any noise whatsoever. Great highly recommend

Good hotel for a short city break. Condition was good, just slightly basic but okay for a couple of nights. Our main complaint was the noise, not just of surrounding building works which we understand may be unavoidable, but also loud bangs from within the hotel before 6am. This was pretty consistent until we left for the day and made sleep pretty difficult.

L’hôtel est à la hauteur de ses 4 étoiles : l’intérieur est magnifique et épuré, la chambre est très confortable et bien décorée. La restauration est plutôt bonne et propose un choix satisfaisant.

Cependant, il y a quelques points à améliorer : la femme de chambre qui toque à 9 h du matin, alors que l’on dort encore, est vraiment desagreable. De plus, pour un hôtel de ce standing, il est dommage qu’aucun parking gratuit ne soit proposé, ce qui complique un peu le séjour si l’on arrive en voiture.

Dans l’ensemble, un hôtel agréable avec un service et un cadre de qualité, mais ces petits désagréments peuvent gêner certains clients.
