We had a very pleasant stay overall and would like to especially highlight how friendly and helpful the staff were. Everyone was always kind, professional, and ready to assist with anything we needed, which truly made a difference in our experience.
The location of the hotel is excellent, within easy walking distance of the main attractions, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby. This made exploring Istanbul extremely convenient.
The breakfast was very good in terms of quality and variety, however it would benefit from more healthy options, especially a wider selection of fresh fruits. It was also a bit disappointing that the juice was served from a package rather than using fresh fruit, which would significantly improve the breakfast experience.
One of the main challenges during our stay was the air conditioning system. The room temperature was very difficult to control: on cooling mode it became too cold, and on heating mode it was too hot. Additionally, the fan speed control was poor and the airflow could not be properly directed, which made it uncomfortable to lie in bed as the air was blowing directly onto us.
Another inconvenience was that the windows could not be opened. As we were staying on the -1 floor, this became quite frustrating, as there was no option for natural ventilation.
Despite these issues, the overall experience was positive.

This Hampton is my usual choice for a short business trip to Istanbul. All the basics are there; it's hard to reach the entrance by car/taxi but this applies to the whole area, not just the hotel issue. The breakfast is definitely missing the meat cuts.

Unfortunately we were allocated the wrong size bed and a used room at first which had been smoked in, with rubbish from the previous guest and used hand towels in the bathroom. We had to insist to be moved to another room but the top part of the door frame fell onto us as we entered into the 2nd room. The next morning we were told we’d moved to another room, we agreed our bags/belonging would remain in our room until the new room was available and we’d swap over once we returned later that day. However when we returned there was some other guest in our room and our belongings had been moved without our permission. They had moved them to our new room but in the process lost some items. In the third room unfortunately the bathroom light wouldn’t turn off so it meant a restless night of sleep. At this point we were so annoyed at the hotel for getting it so wrong we gave up in asking them to sort the issues out. I hdid ask someone to try and fix this the following day which was done. There was also a problem with the toilet, you couldn’t flush it straight after using it, had to wait for the tank to refill and there was a slight sewage small towards the end of our stay. We tried to raise every issue we had during our stay at Hampton by Hilton Sirkeci, but felt we weren’t being taken seriously by the staff or manager. Which was a real shame as we had originally chosen a different hotel but thought this would be a nicer place to stay so changed it last minute when booking the trip.

The room we were in was very quiet. We couldn’t hear anything what was going on outside. So we had a very god sleep. However the pillows were so hard!!! Breakfast was good, location of the hotel is good too, close to the main attractions. Service was good too. In general it’s a decent hotel.

My mother and I had a wonderful and comfortable stay.
The hotel is situated on a steep hill where the taxis cant access between the hours of 10am to 8pm so if climbing steep hill is not your thing then be careful of that.
Tip - you can walk down and then tell the security guards at the bottom of the hill that you have mobility issues and hopefully they should allow your taxi access to the hotel during the prohibited hours.
Notable mentions:
The breakfast was lovely, it wasn't huge but there was pretty much everything one might want.
Im gluten and lactose intolerant. A big Shout out to MUSAMETTI, the breakfast manager who made sure all my dietary needs were taken care of so make sure to let him know if you have any special requirements because he'll make sure your catered for.
If you get stuck for things to do, speak to YILMAZ. He made sure we had an interesting itinerary full of Istanbul's best to do list. He caught up with us every day and wrote out a fresh list of activities, directions and the best way to get there as well as how much we should pay in case we get ripped off. That's going above and beyond the call of duty and we were so grateful for it.
At the reception:
BALKAN - Let him know the time of your flight. Ours was in the evening and he have us a free late check out.
GORKEM - gave us his personal metro travel card to use in case we needed it.
So kind of them.

This hotel in Sirkeci is in a superb location with easy access to most popular historical sites in the area. The best option is simply travel on foot to get a feel for the place which was absolutely crowded with tourists. The hotel is brilliant with modern decor, clean, comfy and spacious rooms. The buffet style breakfast was excellent. All in all we throughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend.

Overall staying at the Hilton was a good experience. Room were comfortable, staff are extremely helpful, good internet speed.

It wasn’t an issue to us but the only thing you may need to consider is that the main entrance of the hotel is on a hill so it may be difficult if you are travelling with children or elderly people. Saying that, the whole city is like that and it will feel like you are climbing whilst walking.


Overall, I will recommend the hotel due to being nice in every way as well as its central location, walking distance to main attractions such as spice bazaar, grand bazaar, good metro access to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque.

Good location for sightseeing, but disappointed by the narrow, steep lane with graffiti where the hotel is located - not what we expected from the images on the website. The hotel itself is nice enough, with lovely staff (even though they didn’t know how to serve a G&T!), but we had a few snagging issues with our room. I would go back, but be aware that it’s not your usual Hampton by Hilton standard.

Great place to stay in Istanbul

The hotel rooms were clean. The breakfast very good. The location in Sultanahmet area - central and convenient. The access to the area the hotel is located in is blocked off at certain times for cars but on our way back to the airport one of the staff members somehow arranged that the car we requested was able to get to the hotel door. Overall, a very good experience.

Great hotel. Modern and clean with friendly staff. Location is excellent.

AC in room was quite weak, and the water pressure in the bathroom fluctuated a lot.

Price was reasonable. This hotel is perfect for spending a few days in Istanbul as a tourist.

Great location; conveniently between Sultanahmet and Eminonu. Easy to walk everywhere (the hotel is on a sloped incline, which may be difficult for families with young children). Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the power shower/rain shower were great. TV is a great size with lots of different language channels. Breakfast buffet was good, with hot options (including a waffle maker). Staff were friendly. Would stay again.

Not regular Hampton by Hilton. Poor room.

Relatively uncomfortable stay. The bathroom and room had bad smell like sewer, and the air conditioning was not working consistently.

Good old Hampton, never lets you down

The hotel was in the middle of old town istanbul, perfecr for sight seeing. The room was of hampton standard and helpful staff.
Dont expect a full english as its turkey and not the back streets of east london.

The condition of this hotel is better than many 4* hotels out there. Due to a full refurbishment approx 5 months ago. Rooms have No issues. Main road shops are a 2 min walk. The spice bazaar is local and this area is ideal for visiting the main historical places withing walking distance. No chef for fried eggs and omelettes but buffet breakfast available is sufficient. Trams are nearby. Will definitely stay again without a doubt.

Excellent newish hotel in Sirkeci, 15min walk from Blue Mosque. Good range of local eateries within a 5 min walk.

Hotel clean and tidy, spacious room and very good shower.

Staff were excellent.

I never stay Hilton property like this before bad bad breakfast..breakfast time is 7.30 till 10 .30 8.30 there is no eggs no vegetarian options bread was dry no juices absolutely nothing there crossons is cut in piece like they saving money I will never book again on that hotel never stay room cleaner came not even change the cup dirty glass left ! Not even bothered to change when I ask for the water nothing given no room service waste of money

It's brand new (2024) so the rooms are modern and very clean. The breakfast is great with a good rotation. Rooms are quiet (I lived on 3rd floor). The area is very central, 2 steps from the Oriental Express train station, Bosphorus and Golden Horn, 10 mins to Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmed mosque (Blue Mosque), close to Grand Bazar and Egyptian spice market. However the hotel is on a side street so it's never noisy there. Looks like the area is under renovation so maybe in future there will be more things built around. A lot of great dining options nearby. The trams, buses, ferries are very close
