Great staff, and interior is spotless. 100m, 3 minute walk over to Heliport helicopter departure for Offshore Wind assignments in the region. Bus accessible, but not very pedestrian friendly area (almost no amenities in walking distance save one mini grocery store with limited options). I cannot leave overall more than 2-to-3 stars because they do not have a self-service laundry machine available on-site.

Although the staff were friendly and helpful, my stay was unfortunately not good. The room had a bad, damp smell and there was visible mold, which was very concerning, especially since I was traveling with my newborn baby. Considering the high price, I expected a much better experience. I hope the cleanliness and room quality will be improved in the future.

Positives- Good options for breakfast. Staff were all really lovely and friendly.
It is pet friendly so it was easy to get to the garden for dog to do their business.

Negative- the keylock for my room did not work the entire time I was there so had to get the staff to let me in every time I wanted to enter my room. This did damper my time there.

Very disappointed...1st room they allocated hadn't been cleaned from previous occupants, though bedding stripped and let on floor, bin still full.

Allocated a different room, and seemed ok but nothing special. However, after returning to the room at 11pm after an evening out found a note on door advising that there was no hot water or heating due to a boiler breaking down. Initially didnt think much of it as we were tired.

However, over night the lack of heating was noticeably as bedding was heavy and too warm, so when threw it off, cold very quickly. On top of that I kept hearing the humming of the fans from the air conditioning which was outside the bedroom window which kept me awake.

We went to use the spa and showers there which we were told were working, to find spa out of action and the showers had glass doors which mean't couldn't have a proper shower.

Breakfast was ok and plenty to choose from.

Due to everything we had experienced we decided to book out at 10am rather than midday, and raised our disappointment of our stay with receptionist, who was the only one we really had any interaction.

I had a phone call on the way home from a manager,who the lovely receptionist had spoken to about our stay and they have offered to refund our one night stay.

I would only use this hotel again if I was flying out from Norwich airport not for when I visit family in the area.

The hotel was in a good location for getting to UEA for an open day and was easy to get to from Sheffield. The staff were friendly and helpful and the main area was clean and well decorated.
The room smelled a little damp when we arrived though the smell faded quite quickly. We found a good wrapper down the side of the sofa bed which wasn't great but the bedding and towels all seemed clean. The mattresses on both the bed and the sofa bed were extremely uncomfortable which was a shame and because of this I would not start at this girl again.

Great Hotel for a Family Stay

Very nice hotel. The restaurant had a children's play area and the staff were especially welcoming and helpful; Miss Cindy in particular went out of her way to be kind to our children. Finally, because the play area was designed in one corner, we did not need to worry about noise disturbing other guests.

Easy to get to, and a well lit car park. Breakfast was good, but hot food was not as hot as it could be. The first day most of it was cold. I had breakfast at 9am and it didnt finish serving until 10.30am. The second day was better.
The choice was really good and self serve. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms are modern and bright.
The early access and late leaving is a bonus . The staff are really friendly and helpful.

The AC did not work for bothe nights. Staff were not able to correct that.
The sink in our room was cracked.
The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work.

We would recommend this Holiday Inn!

We were visiting friends in Cromer Pier Show and I wanted to book a last minute Hotel. The Holiday Inn was the closest (over 20 miles away) and available and the best rate.
I didn’t realise breakfast was included, which was a nice surprise when the receptionist informed us at check in.
We could have used the pool, but didn’t have time in the end. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. My son and I will be back next year, unless we camp in Cromer.
I can recommend this Holiday Inn, convenient for the airport and has a cheeky McDonald’s situated behind it, if you feel like a late night snack! The breakfast was very good! I wasn’t sure about the barking dog in the conservatory, at breakfast time, I felt sorry for the staff member who had to converse with the owner, who was worse.
We would recommend this holiday Inn for a budget stay, that’s a little more than budget, but worth it.

This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in! One lift was broken, the other didn't go to our floor so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Our bedroom windows were cracked and broken with caution tape on them and the bedroom was clearly in need of an upgrade.
The gym equipment was old, rusty and barely functional.
Strongly advise you to give it a miss!

Staff were helpful and very friendly. The hotel was clean with spacious rooms, dining/ bar and reception area and an on site pool. Great breakfast with good provision for children, and for guests with gluten intolerance.

We had one evening meal at the restaurant, the portions were generous but overcooked.

There is a pick up drop off bus service a five minute walk away, that takes you to Norwich in 10-15 minutes.

I recommend this hotel and would use it again.

We didn’t spend much time there as we were staying with family nearby after the birth of their first child.
We found the staff friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and clean
Room did need a revamp but was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep
Bar area and restaurant area was lovely and staff helpful.
Breakfast was great and lots of selection. I am gluten intolerant and there was lots of selection snd staff helpful with this as well
Loved the children’s breakfast area and play area too and I know that my other grandson who stayed for a few nights after we left loved it as well

Holiday inn Cromer rd needs updating

The room needs painting there was hair in the shower and on the side by the sink. The bed was really hard and gave us hip ache the next morning. The extractor in the bathroom did not work so steamed up the whole room when having a shower. There were stains on the wall by the bed that looked like either a drink had been thrown up it or someone urinated on it we spoke to reception twice but nothing was done but they did offer a free coffee that we declined. The lift was out of order so had to lug our luggage up 2 flights of stairs.the breakfast was overcooked or had been under a heat lamp so not acceptable on all items other than beans. The staff were lovely and very apologetic but on this occasion the room let them down.

Lovely entrance area. All staff we spoke to were so friendly and helpful. Lovely touch with the kids packs and kids area in the restaurant which kept our 2 children entertained. They also enjoyed the pool area. A few more loungers or seats would have been nice. The free treat was a hit with the children. Dinner was good and a bonus that kids eat free. Breakfast was included which I didn’t think it was so that was a nice extra. Fantastic choice of hot and cold food. I was really impressed by the separate area for gluten free food. The room was very spacious but looked a bit tired and in need of a refresh. I complain though as the stay was very good value.

We arrived for check in to a very cold welcome from Courtney. She was rude and abrupt. When arriving in our room, noticed straight away how dirty it was. I tried to call down to reception to find the phone was not plugged in and no socket was to be found. I went down to show photos I had taken and we were given another room. This room was much the same. Filthy, outdated and in need of some proper maintenance.

No rush to go back.

Two of the four plug sockets didn't work, the bathroom smelled of block drains and the walls are paper thin and at 11pm I could hear everything going on in the room next door. The lift to the third floor was out of action.

They also placed a solo female traveller as far away from reception as possible, I can't believe hotel chains still have no policy to protect vulnerable guests.

I mentioned all this on check out and the girl just stared at me like I had three heads.

On checking in at the holiday inn ihg Norwich hotel the reception staff took payment for car parking yet one week later I received a parking fine . At no point did the staff member tell us that our registration had to be entered into the computer system . When my wife called to discuss the matter with the hotel staff she received the comment \" it's not my problem you should have read the signs in the car park\" . After a discussion with the staff member my wife was told the fine would be cancelled but the staff member was rude and abrupt and refused to give her name . The call was made to reception at 14:55 on 28 th March 2025. I won't be back

Far too many children making far too much noise in the swimming pool and more importantly in the restaurant. It completely spoiled my evening and I paid for a meal I couldn’t be bothered to eat. Signs could be put up instructing children are kept under control and noise kept at an appropriate level.

The room was basic but not uncomfortable, just cold. The shower seemed to take an age to warm up too. Check-out was really poor......1 person on reception and a queue of people waiting to check out at 7-7:15am; then people wanted separate invoices for food & accommodation which took forever; then the printer didn't work for the receipts!!! It took me 15mins to check-out which led to me joining traffic I got up early to avoid.

The pool was a great addition and something to do in the evening with the kids as it is 20 mins drive from the city.
Evening menu was quite limited but fine for a one night stay, food was good, hot and well presented.
The only thing I would say is that the building is a little tired and could do with a revamp. But it was bright and clean and the staff were all exceptional.

I stayed when my flight out of Norwich airport was canceled. It was so convenient to be able to walk across the car park the next morning to catch my rescheduled flight.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated the restaurant where I ate dinner and breakfast having some good vegan options.

A wonderful stay at the holiday inn on nye. We was attending the nye party at the hotel so gave us everything we need. The only disappointment we had was we didnt know in advance that the pool would shut early and open late the next day so we wouldnt get to use it very much. But this all worked as the lovely girls on the desk booked me late check out so we were able to make the most of it after we had a complimentary breakfast that was added on to. So all in all, we had a fantastic time and the party was brillaint to.
