The room was slightly stuffy and couldn’t change the air con settings very easily. Other than that everything was spotless, the staff were helpful the lady who booked us in was great and ordered me a taxi for a specified time. A very pleasant stay.

Unbeknown to us we had booked on a ‘footy’ weekend! But it made no difference to the hospitality of the staff. Friendly, efficient, helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent with wide choice and catered well for me with a gluten problem. Highly recommended

Great staff and good size room. Only downside was the heating didn’t work. They brought me extra blankets (very quickly) and apologised but it was a cold night.

We booked the holiday inn Carrow Road as perfect for our stay. We was celebrating my birthday on NYD so booked for NYE forn2 nights so we an go to Norwich City. Reception was outstanding and very efficient. We was upgraded to 6th floor and had football pitch view of the stadium.
The room was quite large but it was very dated and tiresome. There was one chair by a desk, no plug sockets by one side of the bed, the complimentary fridge had 1 can of water, 1 can of Pepsi and 1 packet of crisps but yet there was 2 Adults staying, they was not even replenished the following day as we was there do 2 nights.
I made the mistake of booking in my name as my partner is a IHG member platinum usually he will get drink voucher.

The mattress was badly bowed so we kept rolling into the middle all the time, the AC unit was very loud, on all night and we couldn't switch it off, the toilet was very loud when you flush it like it had a macerator even though we were on the third floor and the shower head only went to shoulder height.

The welcome when I arrived was much appreciated. Any interaction I had with the staff at reception was some of the most professional, yet friendly, I’ve experienced. That alone, would make be want to stay here again. The breakfast was decent and the room was comfy.

Overall, it is not too bad, but there are still some issues, which I communicated with the hotel as they requested before submitting this review, but they didn’t reply me for a week - what is the point for the hotel to ask me to give a very high score and communicate with them if there is any issue without even reply to me. Very disappointed.

Firstly, I encountered an issue with the water pressure in the sink. The flow was extremely low, making it difficult to use effectively. Additionally, I found that the hot and cold water could not be mixed properly, which further complicated things.

Secondly, I noticed that complimentary bottled water, which was previously provided daily during my stays, was no longer available.

Great service, great views, great stay

Room had amazing view into Carrow Road (Norwich City grounds), was really comfortable and was close to a small shopping centre with several choices.

Staff were super helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was really good, best buffet style I've had in a while with it all tasting perfectly cooked and fresh.

Not too far from city centre by car/taxi but away from the hustle and bustle of it.

Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for one night for a quick visit to Norwich and nearby Wroxham. Chose a room with a pitch view as travelling with a big football fan. View was great but a shame the outside of the window was so dirty as it spoiled it slightly. Rest of the room was fairly standard, some black mould in the bathroom that needs attention.

Location was fine, approx a 20min walk to Norwich Cathedral. Parking was an additional charge but no problem finding a space (might be harder on match days).

Amazing location in Norwich attached to the stadium. Real estate is large and room was very spacious. Two double beds ideal for family. TV could be improved in size and age. overall its ok,
our bath had mold stains and there was a very bad smell of mold when the water came out of the focet sink. i was affraid to clean my teeth and thoth brush with that water.
i told it to the lady in the front desk when we left.. she didn't care much.
also if you come with a dog have in mind he cant eat. breakfest with you.

We only had breakfast at this Hotel, which was excellent mostly! We didn't like the
9-30 finish during the week. Some hotels serve food much later.
Unfortunately I couldn't walk to Norwich because I couldn't walk that far and my friend had to drive each night. Not a problem.
I'd like to mention a receptionist called Eva because she was extremely helpful finding another room with an accessible bathroom. Not only that but my friend had an adjoining room. Although the shower flooded the first time I used it! This was pretty dire but maintenance did a great job sorting it out. I presume there was a blockage in the outlet.
Re the beds. I wasn't totally comfortable because of the fractures in my spine.
We couldn't understand why there were no single beds anywhere in the hotel. Again not a problem, just an observation.

I definitely recommend this hotel but recommend you ring beforehand and speak to Monica the Reception Manager to ask any questions you may have. I found that most helpful.Norwich is a good base for travelling around, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Nice, spacious room. Yes, as many people have said, rooms and beds need upgrading, but that didn’t bother us too much. What bothered me was that I chose this room for the air cooling, but it didn’t work. There was no available room to move us to, but someone was supposed to be coming in on the Monday to check it. I don’t know if they did, but it was never fixed. A family member lent us a fan in the end so we could sleep.

Nice hotel, located very close to the station which is very convenient to get around. Staff are friendly - nice lobby area to chill and have a drink. Room size is good.

My only negative was the one lift not working my entire stay which was frustrating only having one lift in use - caused a lot of congestion - never saw any work happening to fix it.

A/C was an issue in the room. I suggest they eventually upgrade the bathrooms to have proper showers and not showers in a bath - that is not safe and not conducive for old people.

Despite this I would definitely stay at the hotel again when I return to Norwich.

This hotel is well situated for walking to Norwich town centre. It is also next to Norwich Football stadium. It is easy to get to Norwich and Norfolk Hospital from the hotel, it’s about a 20 min drive or 30 min by bus. Visiting someone in the hospital was the purpose of my stay.
There are a number of restaurants and other amenities along the Riverside, to cater for all tastes, which is a short walk (5 min) from the hotel.
The hotel lobby was clean and tidy. All of the staff I came into contact with were friendly and helpful.
Parking at the hotel is odd. If all of the parking spaces at the front of the hotel are taken there are designated parking spaces for hotel guests in the Norwich Football stadium car park but it is slightly unclear how many spaces there are for hotel guests.
The room we were in was clean and tidy and spacious. The bathroom was also clean and tidy but could benefit from being freshened up.
All in all this hotel was very central for my stay and I would recommend it as a place to stay. Although I have no idea what it would be like on match days.

I am increasingly impressed by Holiday Inn. Nice decor and comfortble bar. Good sized, well equipped room and excellent reception and check out process. Monica and Tetsyna were both welcoming and helpful. The hotel has good parking , walking distance fromt the station and restaurants - and next door to the football ground.
