We booked a standard king room. When we checked in the air conditioning wasn’t working. Called the front desk and asked for it to be repaired or to switch rooms. They switched us rooms no problem. When we got to the new room we were given a room with two queen sized beds. We called and asked about the room type switch and the clerk said the room was an upgrade and that she has told me about the room type change at the front desk. I know that she didn’t as I would have told her we need a king bed. I also told her fine we have to get up at 3am to catch our flight we will stay but how about a discount for the room for the inconvenience. She again told us that the new room was an upgrade from the old room. I’m not sure how that works because on Expedia it’s about $30 more for the standard king over the standard two queen.
Long story short we were overcharged for a cheaper room type and lied to by the front desk clerk about the conversation we had in the lobby. I won’t be staying there again.

We had a towel with a stain on it, the carpet in the room left sticky and we could hear bouncing/noise coming from above. We’ve previously stayed at this same location and had a wonderful stay. This visit was below expectations. The bed was still very comfortable and soft.

Always will be my go to when flying in/out of the airport. Parking is free and easy. The Dennys is open 24 hours for that jet lag induced lunch at 3:30 am. And the room is pretty good.

1st room assigned was at least 35 degrees C when we checked in. Maintenance was called but they could not resolve problem so we ultimately wound up having to move. The new room was better but temp control still a problem, and then we found that the toilet had to be coaxed into turning off after flushing and the sink tap leaked badly due to faulty gasket

Property was good and has wonderful amenities however my checkin experience was not great. I checked in late night with kids and found room floor pretty wet. They switched the room but it took an hour for re-shifting with small kids and lots of luggages.

The front staff forgot to mention to me that the parking was not managed by them. When I went out to go for dinner, I saw a sign that stated private parking and you must pay for parking. I checked with the front desk, and all they needed to do was to record my license plate to not be charged.
All is good, but they should automatically check with everyone checking in.

Staff were friendly, convenient location and good amenities like the pool and cafe in lobby.
However this hotel is incredibly run down and in need of maintenance and renovation. The guestroom hallways and elevators look like they are falling apart. My balcony door was broken and wouldn't open smoothly or lock properly. There was a musty smell in the room.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you want to avoid being charged for damages you did not cause.

When I checked in, I immediately noticed issues with the room—there were two holes in the bathroom door and makeup stains all over the bed. Because I arrived late and had an early flight the next morning, I took photos and reported the damage to staff the following day. I was reassured at the time that I would not be held responsible.

Despite this, I was later charged $232 for the damages. When I contacted the hotel, I was told I would need to wait 24–48 hours while they conducted an “investigation,” as there was no record that I had reported the issue.

Although I was eventually refunded, that was the extent of the resolution. I spent unnecessary time dealing with this situation and received no phone call apology or any goodwill gesture, such as a discount on a future stay.

Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I hope the hotel improves its internal communication and documentation processes to prevent situations like this from happening to other guests.

We needed an overnight for a flight.
Room was updated and mostly clean, bathroom had lights out so dim but beds comfy, fridge and tv work. Little coffee maker is too small for the coffee pads they provide so one cup ended uo grounds. Not a deal breaker, but the onsite starbucks plus the Dennys did not have anything milk alternative so very disappointed plus really?? Even Starbucks?
Indoor pool was good, very small so filled with little people so used the slide - great, and hot tub. Outdoor pool was closed for season but looked to be a great size.
Took a dinner from Chop to the room, no options anywhere for an actual wine glass.
Overall nice night, friendly staff, quiet sleep.

The waterslide was the best feature for me and my boyfriend! We loved the balcony, wasn’t clean but due to natural elements. Food attached was superb and bed was comfy. Would definitely comeback again and again!!!

It was a lovely property, but I didnt like that I as a single woman traveling alone, I was assigned a room RIGHT beside an external stairwell. Additionally, the front desk person at check in said my room number out loud...which again, as a woman traveling alone is VERY dangerous.

Our time there was short but everything went well. The shuttle at the airport was good, but the waiting area was busy. Be sure you know which Sandman you are staying at, there are two close together and the shuttle is the same for them both. The check-in was easy. The room quiet and comfortable. The shuttle in the morning was on time and made our stop over easy.

The hotel shows its age a bit and could've been cleaner—there were spiderwebs in the corners of our room, the toilet roll holder was falling apart, etc.—but the restaurants were great. My partner has gotten a bit of a rash since leaving, which we believe might've been related to the hot tub? I dunno, I think we got good value for our money this time but not 100% sure we'd be back.

Our room was very nice and very clean. The bed was comfortable. Every staff member we spoke to was friendly and helpful. We love having a Starbucks in the lobby and our grandson is crazy for the indoor water slide. We stay here every time we come to Vancouver and will continue to do so.

2nd day after room service came, did not leave the makeup remover wipes.
Requested top level room but was giving me main floor room. Then had to request again then gave me 5th floor room. Parking is rare to find. Overall not a good experience. Will not stay next time. Not a 4 startl quality for sure.

The bedding and towels were all clean but more of a detailed cleaning was needed. The bathtub needed a rubber mat as it was the old style that gets very slippery went it’s wet and although the kitchen was set up with most required items there wasn’t a cutting board to use the knives on!
Make sure to use the washroom or get changed in the hotel room before going down to the hot tub/pool if you are going for the last hour that it is open as the washrooms get locked.
The staff is excellent, the airport shuttle is great, and you are close to decent restaurants!

The room was groos ,, they put us in the Getto with no heat except for a plug in heater
The curtain s were had big rip in them and dirty..
The hot water in the shower wouldn't get hot , but the bath room sink was very hot
Had to put hot water from the sink into the bathtub to heat the c water ...
Horrible !!
