I request to chack in 2 hours early because i had a meeting mrng 6 Am and they didn’t charge extra nd allow me . But only think disappointed no water there , even to tap in kitchen , when i asked to manager she said use from washroom nd boild it , mean seriously why i drink from washroom if paying 134$ . Even room was street side , all night car horrows disturbed alot

I didn't like anything about this property. The only thing good is I didn't pay alot. The closest restaurant was a 20 minute walk away. There was only coffee, no tea, no creamers. There was no TV. The garbage bin had not been emptied. I would not recommend staying here unless you have a car and don't want to pay a lot of money for a room.Expedia should remove it from it's approved list.

We couldn’t get any hot water out of the faucets on our 2-night stay. There was so no TV, which wasn’t an issue for me, but it was a big issue for my husband! It would’ve been nice to have a microwave and mini-fridge in the room too.

The \"Charming hotel\" is a very contractor grade home that is renting out each bedroom. Feels like a boarding house. No tv in the bedrooms. It was quite a long walk just to find a Grocery store or restaurant. On a busy street. There are a few parks nearby which is nice. The room was clean. I'm traveling on business and probably would just pay for a regular hotel room next time.

We stayed one night with two bedrooms booked. We checked in late with no issues. The owner however told us to keep it down while coming in. No issues.

Home was very quiet and in a really safe neighborhood across from a berry farm where you can pick your own berries. Beds were really comfortable and i couldnt hear my friend get in/out of bed at all. They upcharge after you have booked if you have more than 2 people staying even though the room is advertised for 4 with no mention of having to pay more. We had our 2 children with us and had to pay $50 each after I had already booked and paid. Floors were not vacuumed, windows had mold on them. No a/c. Quiet and comfortable place to rest
My stay here was relaxing after a long flight from the east. Check in was easy and information was provided in the email. The host was friendly, understanding and accommodating in the sense that she allowed me early check in for a fee and let me check out a bit later. The room was clean with a small dining table( with a coffee maker and mugs) couch and a nice view from the window. It turns out, you have to be on the quieter side when staying here so other guests do not get disturbed. Like you cannot play music if you have portable speakers. The washroom was clean and shared but I never had issues when I used it. The shower facilities could be better as the shower door did not have a handle. Other improvements could be to have tissues or wet tissues in the room. This is more ideal for solo travellers who want to rest or work quietly I guess. The area was not bad as it was 14 minutes from the airport and 24 hours shoppers drug mart. Nearby I saw a lot of Asian and sushi restaurants. It is kind of out of the way of main areas so you have to go a bit further to catch sky train to get to downtown. Overall my experience was nice and the host made my stay comfortable more so with the check in check out requests.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The shower in our room wasn’t working, and the owner knew about the issue before we arrived but failed to have it fixed. This meant we had to share a bathroom with other guests, even though we specifically booked a room with a private bathroom. It was inconvenient and not what we paid for.
Additionally, the room had a teapot and cups, but no tea provided and the only coffee available was very old — making these amenities pointless.
Given the amount of money we paid, having to share facilities and endure this level of discomfort was unacceptable. The experience did not match the expectations set by the listing.

The check in is to late at 4 pm. I booked for 8 nights and they never changed the bedding or the towels. No kitchen, no tv, no place to have a BBQ. Very interesting why this place is in a hotel register one.

I did not meet the host, but we communicated on text and through booking site - they were very responsive to questions and we had an easy check in and checkout with details for parking our rental car. The stay was amazing..... it's a private house and near to road but quiet and not that noisy.....the property was clean and the owner is a sweet and warm lady. Recommended stay if you want a decent stay for a budget. The property doesn't have a kitchen but there's microwave and refrigerator if you need to store or have a quick meal to go.

It’s a really good experience while I’m staying at the hotel. The owner is super nice and friendly. She was there at the hotel when we arrived l, and she showed us how to use the lock in person. I left my watch charger to the hotel, she contacted me right after she found out. But I came back to the US already, so I asked her to keep the charger for me, I’ll get it back next time I visit Vancouver. Overall it’s a very good experience, I recommend.

Not charming at all. The moment I opened the door , the owner was standing like a ghost and asked me why my 8 years daughter was not included in the reservation and made me to etransfer 50 dollars. The beds are so uncomfortable, I could not sleep for a minute . The place is really hot and no AC available .

The staying was neither charming, bor a hotel. Deceptive description. This is a beaten down home that smells weird. The bathrooms were stinkym No AC. An old fan was placed somewhere in the closet that we had ro dig out.

We arrived a day ahead of our cruise and stayed in this charming family hotel. It’s conveniently located near Vancouver airport. Very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The hostess is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a memorable stay and public transportation whisked us to the cruise harbor seamlessly!

Avoid this place if you can, the landlord demanded $20 for letting me charge my car at night (the cost would have been less than $1). The room smelled bad and the shared bathroom is common between 4 rooms. Only stay here if you have absolutely no choice.

I found some items on the top drawer such as playing cards, a item tag, etc. in the middle drawer there was a soiled t-shirts or some type of clothing item. There was a table with the plate cups and teapot, a hot water boiler. There was also a coffee maker and some coffee and sugar I believe. I use the water kettle. There was an insect inside. The teapot still had some water inside. I ended up washing everything on the table. The plate that holds the cups has slimes on it. That tells me it has not been washed for a long time. Overall, I'm giving this place no more than three stars. I give credit to the owner for responsiveness but I really think this place needs a lot of improvement in terms of cleanliness. For the price I pay $150 US dollars a night is not worth it at all. The tendons still have to a fee for cleaning. My question is why wasn't the place cleaned?

It does not specify that this is a house. There is no air circulation, there is a bad smell in the home, very dark. There was another guest occupant in the other bedroom who kept getting up during the night and pacing outside of our room, this made me feel very uneasy and unsafe. There is a large gap under the doors to the bedroom and the light comes in through there as well as the noise from the other guest using the bathroom right outside our door.
There was a lot of trash, empty bottle water and papers in the drawers, no creamer or enough water for coffee for 2 guest and no regular sugar.
There is no heater in the home so environment is very cold.
It is ok to rent rooms like that but this place needs great improvement and decor needs to be racially neutral.
I would not go back to this place.

All was fine except parking. Street out front was full of ice and snow and not maintained. As we were instructed to not park in driveway but on the street, we had to walk through slushy wet snow drifts and got shoes and socks wet. Also nearly missed an early morning flight when car got momentarily stuck in the piles of snow where we had to park. Otherwise the room was clean and the host friendly and accommodating.

Nice little family hotel, warm welcome, cozy room, new bathroom (I had the room w/ the private bathroom), wifi works. The traffic outside can be a little loud, but it's Vancouver 😅. Bathroom could be a little bit cleaner, tho toilet and sink were clean and towels were fresh.
