We were there for one overnight stay. It is so close to the airport that for an early morning flight we stay so that we can wake up, get in the car and off the YVR. Can’t say about the breakfast as we generally leave before it is available.

Booked a suite, and when I called to double-check I was promised that it has two bedrooms with two real Queen beds. But we only got one bedroom and a terrible sofa bed. No such thing as two bedroom suite in this hotel, I was told. Front staff was also visibly suffering from work overload, very unorganized, and a bit unprofessional. Room was not the cleanest, found garbage under the sofa for example. The shower, although an awesome and spacious walk-in shower at first glance, had a) a pretty clogged drain and b) hardly any room for the water to go but into the bathroom, so it just pretty much flooded it. Two ACs in the suite, but only one remote for both. Same for the two TVs, lol! Free Breakfast was standard continental at best. Never Ever Again!

Dirty room, bugs coming out from the edges of the carpets, dirty bathroom, sheets had hairs all over them when we first got there. Breakfast was very bad, small selection and tasted awful. Everything about our stay was terrible. A few staff members were nice and helpful, the rest were short with us and very rude. Shuttle was convenient. But I will never be staying here again. Stay at the holiday inn across the street if you need to stay in the area.

The shuttle service was okay. We had to wait 45 minutes for the driver. The drivers were helpful.

They don’t clean your rooms. Having trash removed and dirty towels removed would have been nice. You pay the same price every day. Simple cleaning service is expected.

Problem with shuttle bus from airport - ignored clients twice - had to wait for more than 1.5 hours. Was told driver on previous shift wanted to leave early and skipped taking passengers. Called reception many times but response negligible. Overall pretty ordinary experience. Will never go back there.

This is my experience as a overnight stay solo traveler:
Room was spacious with some dated furniture and a large bathroom, but no tub. Area was clean, relatively quiet and did not smell. As a single female traveler, I felt really safe with three locks on the door. The staff was accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. They had even given me a to-go breakfest bag since I had an early flight. The Inn was a 13 min walk to the metro depot which could get you anywhere in the city including the airport, but if you didn't want to brave public transportation, they also offered a shuttle directly to the airport in 30 min increments!
I would come back here again.

Had a late checkin due to delays. Night staff was helpful, friendly and without hesitation allowed me a late checkout.

Room was large and clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Washroom was not claustrophobic with 2 of each of shampoo, soap, lotion. There is no minifridge or microwave but there is a kettle and a keurig. AC managed to keep the room the proper temperature.

Airport shuttle runs every 30min and driver was friendly and helpful.

Good value for the price point.

The beds were fine. The wifi did not work, I mentioned it to the front desk twice, was told it may be the number of guests taking up all the bandwidth. Not 24/7 for 6 days.
I could only shower as long as the room beside me was not using their shower at the same time or I would get cold water. The TV signal was temperamental as the channels would loose connection or the screen was scrambled.

The location to the Vancouver Airport was good plus the airport transfer was great and the included buffet was good. Would stay there again, the person on the phone when we called for the shuttle was rude and not knowledgeable on where to wait. She gave us the wrong place to wait so we missed the morning last shuttle from the airport so had to wait until the afternoon run so we had to wait at the airport for 4 hours. The shuttle back to the airport was great. There isn’t much near except for a 7 eleven and Costco right across the street. if you like a casino there one is within walking distance
Summery , The room was basic but a very comfortable bed and pillow and was quite adequate. The buffet breakfast was ok and of course the shuttle made it a nice convent place for an overnight stay. Sign me an Ontarian traveler

Nice room good size and good water pressure, used train from a cruise to the hotel which was 3 blocks from the sky train Bridgeport station. Took advantage of the free airport shuttle! They asked what time and made it happen. Also enjoyed the Asian restaurant on the premises which was very convenient and reasonable.

I paid an additional fee for guaranteed early check-in at 1:00 PM. When I arrived at approximately 2:15 PM, I was told my room was still not ready and was asked to wait while housekeeping finished cleaning it. I explained that if a room was not available at the guaranteed early check-in time I had paid for, I would like a refund of the early check-in fee. The front desk employee refused the refund and instead offered another room of the same type, which I accepted because I was checking in before a cruise and needed to settle in.

Unfortunately, the replacement room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite being labeled as a non-smoking room. I called the front desk to confirm it was non-smoking, and the employee acknowledged that it was. Their solution was to send a male employee to the room with air freshener to spray it. For my own comfort level, I was not comfortable allowing an unknown man into my room while I was alone, so I declined.

What made the experience even more uncomfortable was an inappropriate comment made during check-in. After asking if I was checking in alone and I answered yes, the front desk employee stated, “Well, if you need to, we can let you bring a guest to your room if needed.” The comment felt unnecessary, unprofessional, and inappropriate during a standard hotel check-in interaction.

Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. If guests are paying extra for guaranteed early check-in, the hotel should either honor that comm

It was a very clean hotel so we were very happy about that. Breakfast was extremely basic but totally fine for our standards and the hotel was very easily within walking distance to the train station. We woke up and took the sky link to the cruise port it was very easy and four dollars.

We called the hotel several times and kept getting hung up on so that was disappointing but as long as you don’t need to interact to the front desk, you’ll be fine. It is very clean and very affordable and met the needs of us flying in the night before a cruise.

I had an awful experience with this hotel before I even arrived. I waited over an hour at the airport for their shuttle, which never showed when promised. I called the hotel repeatedly for help, and every time someone picked up, they hung up within seconds. Ten minutes of nonstop calling and not a single person had the professionalism to speak to me. Completely unacceptable. If this is how they treat guests before check‑in, I can only imagine what the stay would be like. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Breakfast is basic, but it's clean and roomy; bed is comfortable, but we saw spider web on the ceiling and walkin shower with no bath mat. Very slippery.
The biggest issue is no shuttle during the mid day. The new schedule was set in May and the afternoon shuttle only starts at 2:30. With many guests already waiting at the international arrival, the guests at the domestic arrival had to wait a few rounds. 8 of us waited for very an hour for this 10 mins ride. The van can only take 10. That's not what I was told as the time of booking. Please reduce the mid day break and offer the same regular shuttle service to meet with other hotel standards.

The Abercorn is an old hotel so the furnishings were old as well. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was decent. It was nice to have a free shuttle to and from the airport. However, the shuttle did not run all day. They did not run from noon until 4:30pm. I had to wait at the airport a few hours as I had arrived there a little after noon. Also, the front desk clerk did not know the area. I asked what was within walking distance and she said she did not know. Costco is directly across the street so I ended up having a \"Costco dinner\" from the food court.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The location is good with the airport shuttle (see below) and Skytrain close by. I was unhappy with the condition of the room. The shower faucet was very stiff and getting a temperature in between scalding and ice was difficult - then when you finally did, 3-4 times during the (not very long) shower you would get a blast of scalding that was actually painful. As well the sink was not draining properly and the water was sitting in it for an extra couple of minutes before it went down. I did not complain though because I had already used my one complaint on the fact that we waited (in the correct spot) for the shuttle for 52 minutes and it never came (supposed to be every 30 minutes) - we ended up taking a taxi to the hotel. The staff was good and called the driver but he was not truthful and said he had been doing his runs. No. We knew where to wait and what the shuttle looked like and he never came. That said, this is the first time we have had issues and I am not giving up. These are all easy fixes and I will return.

This property needs help. The breakfast was ok, as expected, but there was a fair bit of mold in the shower. Staff were advised and did nothing. Instead of using the proper grout, they have cheap caulking throughout the bathroom which is molding. Towels and linens were often stained, and frayed, generally worn out. The carpet was clean but very worn out. Ceiling had lots of signs of repair. This property could use a refresher

Continental breakfast was excellent. Shuttle times are limited (9pm) in the evening but the Bridgeport train station is only a 10min walk from the hotel. Shuttle times in the morning are excellent. Bed was comfortable. Two of the three table lamps didn't work but minor as total light was good. I would definitely stay again.
