The property was convenient to the airport and to entertainment while we were there overnight. Their airport shuttle was convenient & timely and driver courteous.
The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast area was spacious and well stocked. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The Abercorn is an old hotel so the furnishings were old as well. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was decent. It was nice to have a free shuttle to and from the airport. However, the shuttle did not run all day. They did not run from noon until 4:30pm. I had to wait at the airport a few hours as I had arrived there a little after noon. Also, the front desk clerk did not know the area. I asked what was within walking distance and she said she did not know. Costco is directly across the street so I ended up having a \"Costco dinner\" from the food court.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The location is good with the airport shuttle (see below) and Skytrain close by. I was unhappy with the condition of the room. The shower faucet was very stiff and getting a temperature in between scalding and ice was difficult - then when you finally did, 3-4 times during the (not very long) shower you would get a blast of scalding that was actually painful. As well the sink was not draining properly and the water was sitting in it for an extra couple of minutes before it went down. I did not complain though because I had already used my one complaint on the fact that we waited (in the correct spot) for the shuttle for 52 minutes and it never came (supposed to be every 30 minutes) - we ended up taking a taxi to the hotel. The staff was good and called the driver but he was not truthful and said he had been doing his runs. No. We knew where to wait and what the shuttle looked like and he never came. That said, this is the first time we have had issues and I am not giving up. These are all easy fixes and I will return.

The room was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful when my key card wouldn't work. Early breakfast was much appreciated. The breakfast staff greeted me. Booking the airport shuttle the night before was very helpful. The short distance to the airport was the reason for my choosing this hotel.

This property needs help. The breakfast was ok, as expected, but there was a fair bit of mold in the shower. Staff were advised and did nothing. Instead of using the proper grout, they have cheap caulking throughout the bathroom which is molding. Towels and linens were often stained, and frayed, generally worn out. The carpet was clean but very worn out. Ceiling had lots of signs of repair. This property could use a refresher

Continental breakfast was excellent. Shuttle times are limited (9pm) in the evening but the Bridgeport train station is only a 10min walk from the hotel. Shuttle times in the morning are excellent. Bed was comfortable. Two of the three table lamps didn't work but minor as total light was good. I would definitely stay again.

We have stayed many times at this hotel. Breakfast always included hot and cold items. Now you only receive cold foods. We were disappointed as the original breakfast items were so good. Hotel itself is old, but clean. Fine for a quick stay.

We used this hotel at the beginning and end of a trip out of Vancouver. Our room at the beginning of the trip was lovely, clean, large and a comfy bed. At the end, the room was tiny, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, and the mattress on the bed was upside down, and we had to strip the bed to change it. We did make management aware of this. Breakfast was good; they had eggs!

This wasn't a bad place to stay. The access to YVR Airport was a really good point. Unfortunately, the room I stayed in had a problem with its heater. At several times during the night, as it went into operation, it was very noisy, making it hard to get a good night's sleep.

Another negative point was that the airport shuttle driver, as well as several other people, smoked outside right by the entrance. It would be nice if there was a designated smoking area a little further away.

Booked this place for the free shuttle to get us to the airport for an early flight. Stayed here 1 night with family. It's right across the street from a very busy Costco. There's a Chinese restaurant right next door. We didn't get to use the pool. We booked our ride on the airport shuttle at check in. We were offered a simple to-go bagged breakfast in the morning since we were leaving before breakfast hours. That was very appreciated. This hotel is a 15-20 min walk from the Bridgeport skytrain station. I would stay here again.

The airport shuttle goes to Abercorn actually closes at 9pm, but it does not clearly clarified at the website. If you arrive after 8pm, abselutely Abercorn is not the right choice.

Bugs were found under the bed and on the floor.

The hotel is well managed. The front desk supervisor, Sanal, is fabulous! He cares about the hotel and he went well above and beyond to accomodate our request. It is rare to get such amazing customer service in thei day and age. Sanal really deserves a raise!

People working in the motel are great. Rooms are clean, but this motel is old and has a very unpleasant smell in all public areas. Hallway carpets appear to be ultra old and dirty. Also a few things appear to be broken - for example, there is exit to the back parking lot, but you cannot reenter since the door has not even key-card access. Breakfast is ok.

Older room, bathroom needed updating, Internet, very slow. All the time, bed was mediocre, carpeting was worn, staff had an almost I don’t care attitude when we asked for help. We needed a 625 shuttle for the airport and breakfast was served at 6:30 and although the girls were there, they would not serve us as they were on break. I’m not sure what they had done yet, but they were on a break. I will never go back.

Have stayed at the Abercorn Inn in its various configurations numerous times over the years. It always meets our requirements as a basic one night layover, conveniently close to YVR. It is not a five star luxury resort, nor does it claim to be, but this is an older hotel, clean and comfortable with basic amenities. Staff are pleasant, rooms clean. The continental breakfast is decent. We feel safe here and will stay again in the future.

The hotel is dated for sure. Black mold in the shower. The airport shuttle is a hot mess. A Hampton Inns van showed up with an Abercorn Hotel decal on the side so I hopped in and the driver went to the Hampton Inn and shut it down. Another couple and myself were confused by this and the almost rude driver pulled out a sheet of paper with the hours it serves Abercorn. We were outside of those hours but had no clue because the hours were tucked away in a seat pocket. Take the sticker of the unit if not used. The shuttle to the airport the next day wasn't much better.

Very disappointed that they advertise airport shuttle but it stops at 9:00 pm. $30 for taxi to get there. Couldn’t get the shuttle back to the airport in the morning unless we left 1 hour earlier than we needed to be there. Didn’t feel like the hotel was clean.

Dated appearance, but good for 1 night stay near YVR airport. Room was clean, fairly spacious and fairly quiet considering proximity to the airport.
Was able to check-in at 1:30pm instead of 3pm, which was great.
Breakfast was reasonably good with many options. Scrambled eggs were the only hot food option, but many items to be toasted.
Airport shuttle was convenient, fast and friendly.

Ran out of hot water briefly during mid-morning shower. Reported this, and it seemed to be a regular occurrence.

I would stay again, for the price.
