Airconditioning is not working good. We adjusted it from 21 (where it was set when we arrive) to 17 (max that it can go) to make it colder but did not work. We just wanted it a little more colder, but it didn't go to where we are more comfortable. It was ok, though, since it was not too hot outside especially at night. But when you come home from a lot of walking and heat during the day, do not expect a cool room when you get in. You just have to wait till your body adjusts to whatever coolness the room can give. Overall, it was a very good stay. Very convenient and walkable. Close to bus stops and Roma Termini. A lot of restaurants and convenience stores close by. We were able to walk from St. Peters square to the hotel, about 40-45 min walk with stops at Trevi fountain and Pantheon. Cleaning lady comes everyday and change towels. Front dest was very nice and accomodating. He allowed us to leave our luggage after check out so we can explore more before our flight. Will definitely book again.

Check in was a bit confusing as the rooms have multiple entries, not all easily recognizable. Still, you can find the Hotel Elide easily enough. Clean. Only shampoo offered so bought a bar of soap. Centrally located and only a couple blocks of the Metro - Republica station. Walking distance from Napoli Centrale train station. Plenty of restsurant choices nearby. Walking distance to many key sites and a 20 minute metro ride from the Vatican. Some street noise, but main entry is on a side street thst is pretty quiet during the early hours.

The photos that they put up are NOT accurate to the room
There are no chairs or sofas
The shower only holds one person at the time
It says sound proof but the noise from the staff and the neighbors is overwhelming
Quality of the linen is very low
And they don’t refresh your towels

Overall it's good, it's an apartment not hotel, most of time not see front desk. I arrived late so he asked me to go to another hotel neaby to look for the front desk, who helped me to open the door of the apt and instructed me how to use it. The room is spacious and clean, overall it's a good deal.

C’est un endroit parfait proche de tous mais vraiment de tous à pieds. Gare, plusieurs lignes d’autobus, fontaine de Trévi, Colisée, épicerie, restaurants, café.. Se situe sur rue sécuritaire …
Maintenant, en ce qui concerne les lieux, je ne peux pas dire que c’est très mauvais.. car dans la vie tout est subjectif! Il nous a rendu service, dans l’ensemble, mais peut mieux faire.
Point de vue propreté: Il est correct et acceptable. J’aurais voulu voir une housse de matelas, un extracteur dans la SDB. Ah oui, des bouts de mousse sortaient de l’oreiller. Pas de savon à mains, il a dit que les minis flacons de gel douche et shampoing faisait l’affaire, j’ai expliqué que ça n’avait pas de sens, qu’avec mes mains sales je devais manipuler ouvrir et fermer, quand un simple distributeur ou un petit savon sur le lavabo aurait pu faire l’affaire. Lunette de toilette trop petite au risque de se faire pincer. Climatisation faible ( un faux 18 degrés). Pas d’INTERNET dans la chambre même notre LTE 5G ne capte rien.
**** vieilles fenêtres à changer, se ferment mal**** on a quand même bien dormi. Cet avis est pour les gens difficiles.

‼️🚨 Prévoyez du cash pour payer vos frais de taxe.

Lobby area is very small, didn’t like window in bathroom, maybe cover it with something, didn’t like room key, you always had to use it to open and lock door, so if you leave someone in the room they are locked out??? What happens if they have a fire??? Not very safe!

I had a small bed crammed in a dirty corner. It looked like someone had been running up and down the walls. Very easily washable. It was
99 degrees in Rome and the air barely worked making sleeping difficult. No soap in bathroom to wash hands. Keys were difficult to use and had 3 keys for different doors. I know the accommodations are different in Italy than the us but this was not clean.

This was a great property. The owner was very welcoming, and it was extremely safe. There was police and guards right outside in front of our place across the street. It was literally 10 to 15 minute walking distance from most places like the Colosseum, Spanish steps, fountain of Trevi. The Vatican was an hour walking distance, which we did no problem. There was an amazing restaurant just across the street Great pizzas, pastas and coffees. Highly recommend and the prices were extremely reasonable. Just a few steps down the way was a café with pastries, Italian desserts, and fresh croissants and baked items. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station. Our room was extremely clean. Definitely would stay here again. We felt extremely safe and the owner that manage the place was very welcoming. The price is extremely reasonable.

No WiFi reception in the room. No hand or body soap, even on request (\"not included\" we were told), only 2 little shampoos. Roll of toilet paper already started. Old IKEA furniture. Poor lighting in the bathroom. Noise from street on Friday night. Another night, you could hear noise from pipes through the building. Only on the third day was the room cleaned. The windows and rusty shutters don't open and the curtain was torn. The bedspread had stains as did the mattress of the extra bed. The hot water in the shower was not enough for two people to shower. We don't understand how this place had good ratings by others. We don't look for fancy places, just a place to sleep and take a rest in the middle of the day but we refrained from resting because it was not pleasant to be in the room. One night a couple banged on the outside door for a long time around 11:00 PM. We eventually opened the door, but they couldn't get their room. They had notified they would arrive late but were not met as promised and they made phone calls. I guess eventually following our suggestion that they go to the adjacent Elide and ask for them to call the person to let them in to Garden Elide they got in. The cleanliness was reasonable. The mattress was terrible. The photos make it look better than it actually is. The television was on the table next to the refrigerator, not hung on the wall. We never saw other guests. They say you get what you pay for, but we feel we payed for things we didn't get.

Bedding was an absolute disaster, with holes on sheets.
Towels were put on a heater to dry up for the next day. Really??? i put them on the floor!. No SOAP, only shampoo that was half diluted.
For a 1* maybe ok. No front desk after 6pm.
Location was great though.

The property is extremely outdated, the tv did not work. The fridge makes sounds which made it a bit difficult to sleep.

if you’re an American you will have to google how to turn on the heater, and even if on , the room is still very cold.

No waste basket but a mini one in the restroom, thus cleaning was provided in a daily basis so not a huge problem.

It has a mini fridge and the bathroom was spacious.
The location is very convenient we were able to walk through downtown Rome and easily come back, without having to take Ubers or public transportation.

Even though the staff does not really speak English they make a great effort to communicate, overall our stay was good specially for the price.

We just stayed one night. Check in was quick and easy. We were met by an Italian only speaker. Between my limited Italian and his limited English we were able to check in. I wasn't aware that the city tax, I knew we had to pay, that he would only take cash Euros and not a credit card. I had to go out and get more cash Euros (we were leaving at 5am the next morning for the US and had used up what we had). Minor inconvenience. The room was clean and nice. Bed was comfortable. It was to the back of the building so it was quiet at night. I would come back again. Oh there are no screen on the windows and the mosquitos/ no see-um must love American blood because my husband and I woke up with a dozen bites each. We only opened the window for a few minutes between arriving around 3pm and leaving for sight seeing and dinner at 4pm.Bring bug spray!
We would stay here again on future trips.

We were in Rome for three days and this was a great location to stay, we liked that it was a short walk to the Termini train station and close to lots of restaurants, etc. we did a fair amount of walking and felt this was a pretty central location. The room was clean and updated. A great location for those on a budget, highly recommend and would stay there again!

The staff was very friendly and kind. They helped me with the metro system and other things including getting a taxi at 6:00 am to take us to the airport. This hotel is not lavish, no lobby to lounge in, coffee or breakfast supplied but it is clean and in a quiet, safe, walkable distance to many attractions. Good shopping and restaurants near by. The bonus is it won’t break the bank and it definitely has it’s own charm.

They scammed me. I showed up during check in hours and the door was locked. I knocked and messaged them and waited close to an hour there and there was still no response. I had to leave and find another hotel as it was getting late they never responded all night or even the next day then they said I was a no show and charged me for three nights and wouldn’t give me the room the next day because they had already booked it out.so I went back the next day and I talked to the reception in person and he promised they would give a refund and were sorry. When I messaged Expedia about it and Expedia emailed them they responded to Expedia saying I never talked to reception and they would not refund me. Do not trust them at all. They continuously lied to Expedia and me.

The owner was magnificent, I stopped at a hotel close by and he took my bag up the sidewalk for me. He checked in whenever he saw me.

The safety was incredible for a solo traveler, 2 locked doors before you even got to the room.

Wifi was slow and front desk didn't seem to care. front desk is laughable. Entry and exit takes 3 keys after a certain time. No coffee in room. This is a very small \"hotel\" with only 6 rooms. Expect services to make sense at that scale. There was mold in the shower grout, and the shower doors don't seal. The bed was mediocre, and they didn't even use fitted sheets on the mattress. Just a flat sheet, so I woke up laying directly on the mattress most nights..

Place was really nice, both receptionists were lovely to us. Only downsides were the shower head would fall off when you move the shower at all which then would spray round the whole room and make it wet. We didn’t mention to the hosts although we just didn’t move it for the rest of the stay. Everything else was nice, clean and the location was lovely.

This was the most horrible experience i ever had .

For everyone how are interested in booking this hotel , please read my review first before confirm your booking to this hotel… i have booked this hotel and paid in advance via a credit card a month before my travel. After I arrived there, I was shocked that all the rooms were sold out and there was no room for me. At first they took the tax amount from me and then they told me that there were no rooms. Then they sent me to a another hotel, and I stayed there for three days. It was Hotel disgusting hotel , the electricity was’nt working and there was no place to charge the phone. The bathroom is constantly leaking water , and the noises are very annoying. The hotel’s elevator was very old and you could not use it, so I had to use the stairs more than once.
It was a bad experience and I do not advise anyone to book the hotel because they will take your money and then tell you there are no rooms when you arrive and sending you to another hotel.

We didn’t like this hotel. In fact, it didn’t even look like a hotel, so it was hard to find. It consisted of about a dozen rooms on the bottom floor of a large building. There was no lobby, just a small room with desk, computer, and a man who seemed to be there for only a few hours a day. Our room was very small, the bed was hard as a rock, and there was no window in the room, so we had no outside light. The bathroom was a good size, but the shower was half glass and half curtain that didn’t fit well, so the floor was wet after each shower. On a positive note, our room was very clean.

We had the most amazing time at Elide Garden! The owner went above and beyond, letting us check in during the morning instead of waiting until the afternoon. This made our stay incredibly delightful, leaving us well-rested and ready to conquer the city in the evening. I can't express enough how fantastic this place is – situated perfectly between the train station and all the major attractions. It's hands down one of the wonderful places to stay in Rome!

We liked the location a lot, it was pretty easy to get everywhere from there and it was easy to stay. It was nicely done up and we enjoyed the air-conditioning! Staffed hours were very limited. The shower didn’t drain very well, the house keeping service wasn’t very good, they did our room nicely the first day but the second day they didn’t give us new cups or towels or make the bed so that was a bit odd. They kindly held our bags for us the day we checked out for us to then pick back up, so that was nice. The key to the room felt a bit dodgy though, it was an old key style and it seemed like it could unlock any room - we know this because when we were being shown to our room he unlocked the wrong one. So that felt a wee bit unsafe, especially with the limited staff hours. Overall we were pretty happy with our stay here and the bang for buck!

A really great location in Rome

The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and they cleaned it every day. The bathroom is large and also very clean. But the best thing about is the location, it's close to Central station (Termini), with bus stop to take you down town (40, 67) and metro around the corner. It's a 15 min walk to the Trevi Fountain so it's close on foot as well. The neighborhood is quiet, and the staff very friendly.

Worth the money

Perfect room if you are looking for something simple and not expensive or luxurious. Owner is very friendly and laid back. Walking range of the historical buildings therefore no taxi needed or looking at subway times. Overall very pleased.

Get what you pay for

In the height of summer our room would have been lovely and cool and a real relief from the heat, but we booked for March and it was freezing. There is a heater, but the ceilings are so tall that the room struggled to actually get warm despite keeping the heater on all day. No dressing gown or slippers provided, but a selection of coffee and tea was available. The fridge in the room required unplugging on a night time because it was loud. The heated towel rack didn’t work, but the cleaning staff do replace your towels every day. At first glance everything is relatively clean, just don’t go looking under the bed. The gentleman on the desk was a lovely host, no doubt, tried his best to communicate in a language not his first, and was always polite and friendly. There is a safe in the room but it’s not fixed to anything. No iron, but there is a hair dryer. The rooms are not soundproof, when you are stood in the corridor, it is possible to hear people talking in their rooms. Ultimately it’s a cheap and recently refurbished room located in the very centre of Rome. Can’t go wrong for the price we paid really, other hotels in the same area are 2-3x the price.

Great hotel, very welcoming

We didn’t actually stay at the hotel that I booked, instead the hotel gave our booking to the hotel next door, Hotel Texas, I believe this was because of our requirements for 3 separate beds, this wasn’t a problem at all as I was pre warned a few days earlier by the hotel, thru hotels.com. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, rooms were tidied and cleaned everyday of our stay.

Comfortable stay in walking distance to all

The room was clean, quiet, in the first floor (only floor), back of the building with a window to the garden. Extra towels were provided on request. Reno was helpful and tried to accommodate our requests. A kettle and instant coffee as well as a small fridge in the room. The safe was very small and it was not anchored??? Plenty of hot water but zero pressure. Were told of ongoing system work. We were given keys to the front door and the building main door which were locked in the night. Staff were there from 9 am to 6pm. Area is clean and well lit at night.
