Weekend break to relax

Fantastic location on the shores of lake Geneva. If the weather is good it makes the stay more special. Stayed in a deluxe room with lake view - lake view is very obscured due to the trees - what it really means is that you face the lake. Room was spacious and as expected for a Hilton.
We arrived at 3pm and the manager wanted to check the room to ensure it was ready so we were given a free drink in the bar which was a nice touch. We only had to wait 10 mins so by the time we had our drinks the room was ready and our bags had been taken up
We used the spa facilities which left us a little underwhelmed. It could really do with a refurbish. One of the bathrooms, the door frame was rotten and there were colonies of ants all over.
Overall nice location, nice stay but certain areas need a revamp

Only ok, Hilton has gone down

Just an ok stay, the hotel is in need of a renovation as it seems stuck in the 90's. The room fridge is empty as you have to go downstairs to get any snacks which isnt convenient. The bed wasnt very comfortable, i had made several requests and all were denied ( higher floor, a better view , away from the noise, late checkout) due to them being occupied but i didnt see many people in the hotel so not sure whats going on there

Check-in lady forgot to have a rollaway bed prepared for us even though she said there were 1 king size bed and another small bed for 3 adults. We had to call from our room to let reception know.
Couple of stains in the carpet, otherwise it was a big, clean , nice room with all the amenities. It’s an old hotel, no outlet for cellphones near the bed. AC quite loud and couldn’t get cold enough

Main positive is the location and the view - well worth paying for the lake view. Rooms are large and ok. Overall hotel a bit scruffy - paint scuffed, carpets with holes in, corridors not very clean. Restaurant very hit and miss, some dishes really good but others just ok and service is so slow that food tends to arrive cold. Breakfast is pretty ordinary for that class of hotel. Staff are also hit and miss, some very helpful, others not very interested. We had amazing weather so didn't really care!

Beautiful views across Lake Geneva in a cute sleepy town. The staff at the Hilton were so friendly - made sure the kids had games and coloring books. Bed was super comfy, rooms were very big. Wish we had used the spa - outdoor pool looked great too but obviously not open in February!

Got tricked into thinking Switzerland currency could be used in France, usually in other places (e.g Austria) they tell you that other currencies that are not euros could not be used there. I overpaid them in the wrong currency and they did not give back the remainder when I told them about it the next day. The bathtub is too high on the inside and it’s too steep trying to get out. One could slip, especially the glass blocking the shower head, it does not close all the way which water got all over the floor. Very dangerous .

We had a great time at your hotel, staff was awesome (speacially Sharlene, very kind and pretty) and the location was very convenient. One thing I could advise is to do a little upgrade in the rooms, the carpet was very filthy and dirty, the bathroom door knob was coming off and the shower door couldn't be completely shut. Thank you for everything!

It is a lovely property in a great location. Two things that could be improved: The carpet in the room was very worn. The wait staff are too quick to remove plates from tables: many times my plate was removed before I had finished my breakfast. And my coffee cup was removed time after time....it was annoying.

Hotel restaurant for dinner is overpriced with below average quality food. The food is prepared and presented well but the filet was tough with no flavour. For eating I would recommend the short walk into town. The hotel itself is reasonable and the staff are great. I was very disappointed with the executive lounge. VVERY limited food and drink offerings during happy hour and nothing was refilled during the 2-hour slot. Once it was gone, it was gone. I tried to open a door onto the outdoor patio and was ‘told off’ by a hotel staff member. Apparently I was supposed to use the door that was self-closing; not one of the many other doors that make up the access to the terrace.

Great location, with awful food & rooms need work

We are frequent travelers around the world and Diamond status with Hilton.
Let’s start with all the positive aspects of the hotel:
The staff are extremely friendly and generally very helpful. We only had one angry person and it was towards our two year old who kept going round and round the entrance turnstile 😂
The hotel has an excellent gym and two swimming pools - indoor hot and outdoor cold - that are so perfect. The view over lake Geneva is all’s breathtaking. Make sure you request a room with a good view.
Unfortunately, the fridge in our room was filthy with leftover food that had not been cleaned out. The pull out couch also hadn’t been wiped not made and lacked sheets. Walls were covered in hand stains and marks. We also didn’t get our two mineral water bottles that come be with the room.
Paying for parking was a huge pain because the machine doesn’t seem to accept cards. The parking attendant was helpful though.
Now for the worst part of the trip. We decided to have dinner at the hotels Lebanese restaurant called Flavours. In our entire two decades of regular travel, we have never ever had such awful food. The beer on tap was flat - as was the beer served at the pool - the pasta for the kids tasteless and Old. The bread as hard as rocks, the appetizers were old and microwaved. The main kebab courses were so gross I almost puked. Meat and chicken were old, the pita wrap stale. The rice was disgusting too. We didn’t eat it and the manager apologized profusely.

Old Hotel, very nice staff but facility all around is breaking down. On the way to the pool broken parts of the floor. Ashtrays with cigarets. The inside pool is warm and nice yet the outside is too cold. Breakfast is boring with mainly the basics. Had a bad check in experience, instead of charging me extra for another kid who is 2 years old they made us pay for an additional room. Its stuck in the eighties except for the friendly staff.

The staff are nice especially the shuttle driver/ receptionist his name Thibauld not sure if this was his correct name. Anyway, I liked it when they upgraded our room with a view and free shuttle service. Just inform the hotel your time of arrival. The room was spacious and clean. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Everything was extra except toilet paper and soap. Parking, internet. Breakfast £20 or £25.
Restaurant closed.
Paid for King double. 2 singles put together. So I had the gap and had to get out of bed to turn light off as head board was for twins. RIP off.

How Hilton stay in business I cannot imagine.

Last used Hilton Hydepark and vowed never again. Gave up Honours membership- only for companies business accounts which encourage RIP off.
Just like BA used to be EasyJet will he you. Ibis perhaps.
My mistake.
Just a rip off.

Good hotel, tasty breakfast, but overpriced?

The hotel is located at the hedge of the (very small) city centre. It is just 2 mins walk away from the pier with boats to Lausanne and other locations around. Hotel features a nice lake view (the higher the floor the better obviously). View from street-side rooms seems really not great...
Also 2 mins walk away is the Evian spa and fitness club, but the hotel's spa and pools are quite good.
We booked an executive room, which gives access to the executive lounge and the nice roof top terrace. Really worth it!
Go for the hotel's breakfast buffet; it provides a nice choice and staff is really friendly. It's also nice to have breakfast on the hotel's terrace on sunny days.
Hotel features two restaurants, a snack type and a \"gourmet\" one. We tried both and were not impressed. Again, staff was really friendly and helpful, but the food was disappointing, especially in the \"gourmet\" one given its prices.
There is no specific hotel parking, but the nearby public parking has a lift directly into the hotel.
Hotel is very big and can thus get crowdy, especially at the breakfast. They also hosted a wedding on the weekend with the noise of the party going on late into the night...
Room was nice and clean with good amenities. Maybe a bit expensive though.

Great family holiday with amazing views

This was the best hotel I have stayed at. I came here for a family holiday and the hotel, the service, the breakfasts, the location, the pool, the spa, the room were all first rate. It was a really enjoyable relaxing family holiday. The kids loved it and had great fun swimming in the pool and the lake beach. We also had an executive room and had fantastic expereinces in the lounge in terms of food, drinks and customer service.

Smart hotel a short walk from Evian

2 night stay on the southern shore of Lac Leman. Great visit to Queen studio experience in Montreux but Evian itself was very quiet with a lot of restaurants etc shut. Meter parking on the street much cheaper than the car park offered by the hotel!

we arrived at 8pm. the room was cold, I asked why they did not pre heat it. they said then it would be too hot. I turn on heating. it never worked. bathroom had dust in it. bathtub was damaged with rust in it. in general, hotel is not that good and the city itself is not worth exploring. if you need a hotel for a stopover stay in montreux on swiss side. we did not use spa. restaurant of the hotel was closed at 9pm. do not stay here just becuase you want a king bed. get hoel with two double beds in another hotel, this is not worth 4 stars

Reservation doesn't mean you have a room here!

I had a reservation that was made via Hotels.com and the hotel staff very rudely told me there were no rooms and to leave. They did not care that there was a reservation-simply \"there are no rooms. Good bye.\" This was at 8 pm while traveling with a toddler and there were no rooms to be had in Evian or the rest of Lac Leman. We had to drive to Montreaux that evening to find a room. Absolutely horrible staff and Hilton hotels should be ashamed that these people represent them and treat customers this way. There was no effort to assist us with finding a room elsewhere.

We had a great stay at the hilton. The first room we were given smelt of smoke but this was addressed and we were moved to a lovely room with a view of the lake. All staff were friendly and professional and the location is great- close to shops and restaurants and lake. Great having both indoor and outdoor pool. Would definitely recommend .
Just a note - parking is charged at 15 euros per day .

Breakfast and the restaurant setting were excellent, lots of choice and variety. Rooms are large and comfortable with a well stocked fridge. An ironing board and iron are provided. Overall a great stay, we will be returning in the future.

Booked this as a stopover for a night and very pleasantly surprised. Staff were great, both at check in and particularly at breakfast,both the waiter Sebastian and the guy who allocated our table.. We got an upgraded room, for no apparent reason, which was lovely and looked out over breakfast garden and pool to the lake.

nice hotel overlooking Lake Geneva

The hotel enjoyed a marvellous location - overlooking the lake and Switzerland, and adjacent to this pleasant spa town with its smatterings of belle epoch architecture.

The room was clean, well kept and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the balcony.

There were a couple of disappointing aspects however to the holiday.

For me, I was disappointed that the hotel did not offer its guests more inhouse leisure facilities. There was an outdoor pool but for most of our stay it was a little too cool to entice us to use it.
Access to it was difficult as it was through the privately run Bhuddist spa...

I needed to wear a costume to have access to the gardens surrounding the pool even when I just wanted to read.
There was no sauna or steam room for instance that was available to guests.

Secondly I found the service in the bar slow and a little chaotic. It took a long time to put in an order for drinks or bar snacks and these were a long time in coming.
A desert order in particular involved a long wait.

This aside almost all the staff were pleasant, welcoming and helpful.

The Hilton at Evian is one of the most welcoming & friendly chain hotels we have ever stayed in. On arrival the check-in staff were amazingly helpful & charming, nothing was too much trouble. We asked for adjoining rooms & as they were not available, we were upgraded at no extra charge. Our rooms were lakeside, with the most amazing view & simply huge! The hotel & rooms are attractively decorated & there is ample parking under the hotel. The breakfast was an extensive hot & continental spread including local cheeses. The only flaw was that smoking was permitted on the room balconies. We had a cigar smoker in the room below us, so his smoke wafted up into our room on occasion. However, we loved the hotel, felt very spoilt during our stay & hope to come back in the future.
