Disappointed hot breakfast was at a surcharge as previous times at other harbour hotels this wasn't the case. I ordered poached eggs and they were overdone.

We booked this for our wedding night. Upon arrival we got to our room and it was boiling. No temperature control options. We had to sleep with the balcony doors open with light pouring in and a loud mast wire banging in the wind. Due to the obscene heat we were both very unwell in the night. The next morning we discovered the heater was on full blast (in Summer)? Then once we got to breakfast we had to wait 30 minutes for our order to be taken and it almost took an hour from sitting to receive the food. I’ve stayed many times before and this was the worst experience I’ve had ever at a hotel. And it was our wedding night.

Hotel was amazing. We were a little disappointed with the original room with partial sea view as brick wall and tall tree prevented seeing the view. The reception staff were very helpful and were able to move us to a room with beautiful view over the bay which was stunning. . All the staff were friendly and helpful. A large established hotel, some parts dated and could do with painting. The staff all very welcoming especially in the Jetty restaurant where we could not fault the staff and food, 5 star.
The rooms were clean, however the room doors need to be soft closing as all we could hear was slamming of the doors as people entered and left their rooms.

We stay at the harbour in Southampton a lot, this was our first time in Christchurch, the carpets are filthy and need replacing, the was no where to park, the receptionist was rude, and told the concierge not to to talk to guests, when he was the only one who was welcoming and polite, we won’t be staying again the breakfast was chaos and we sat for ages waiting to be served, if your staying at a bourbon hotel stay in Southampton where it’s clean

Superb hotel, the gardens and the harbour view are stunning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spa facilities good and felt like quite a treat. We did not pay extra for the hot breakfast and I don't think there was any need, the continental selection is very high end and delicious. Our room was on the back and quite snug but we knew that when we booked.

Only a one night stay with our son and new wife to celebrate their wedding that day. Staff were amazing and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Made use of the pool and sauna and quiet areas although had to stop using the pool for the aerobics class. Had dinner in the Upper Deck restaurant which was lovely. Booked for my husbands birthday; was asked if special occasion by several staff members but nothing sent as complimentary.

The deluxe room with sea view, four poster bed and bath in the room was lovely but very expensive; complimentary gin and 2 x water but everything’s else was extra cost.

This was spoilt by a blocked toilet which meant we had to check out early.

The espresso machine needed descaling.

Upper Deck: my wine was forgotten and others were attended to first until we had to remind the waiter.

The location is lovely but unfortunately, our experience was spoilt as we had to check out early due to the plumbing issues.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The prices are steadily rising though yet the comfort is not. No one to contact in the middle of the night to ask for help, pillows so huge (see picture) and all the same size so no option to change. Noise from the restaurant deck at midnight doesn't make it a relaxing stay.

Lovely hotel !! The service was excellent throughout and the room lovely. The food in the upper deck was fantastic and the drinks on the lawn were very enjoyable.

Only small gripe was that the room was extremely hot and the wedding guests from the wedding that was also going on were very loud below the room so we could not open the window.

I visited this hotel but wasn’t aware there would be a wedding, while this was okay the hotel is pretty big the guests were pretty unsavoury and noisy. Looking past that there was little to no parking and ended up being a bum fight to get into the hotel. The serving staff were either new or not well trained as it took forever to get food and drink. This continued at pretty much every meal leading to others complaining at breakfast this morning. It’s a good hotel, great location but they clearly are about the weddings not so much the guests.

Fabulous hotel for a weekend getaway. Plenty of walks during the day and great restaurants in the evening. I recommend the hotel's restaurant The Jetty. One of the best italian meals had. Room (415) overlooking the harbour was magnificent. Wonderful location with good local pubs and a short drive to the coast or New Forest.

The staff are all incredibly friendly and the room was beautifully spacious - we were in the anexe right opposite the spa. We arrived slightly early and foud that our room was ready.
This hotel does have a nice spa - there is one steam room, a sauna, a jacuzzi, a pool, treatment rooms and a relaxation room upstairs. The steam room did have a few loose tiles which was off-putting but it was fine otherwise.

The room service is of high qualify with a sizeable portion; there is free gin provided in the room but you would have to pay for tonic - still a nice touch. It was also great to have a nespresso machine in the room. The continental breakfast was nice, although we waited a long time for coffee; presumably that's only the result of each guest being offered a handmade coffee rather than your standard french-press that's usually on offer. The coffee was great when it did come. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Loved the restaurant. Excellent service.
Everyone we met was very friendly and cheerful throughout our stay.
The treatment in the Spa was very good but the Spa area is too small. And due to it being half term - full of grandparents and parents with small children who took over the pool.
Nowhere to relax as all the empty seats were piled up with used towels.
The hotel should consider removing the gym and expanding the Spa IMO!
Would go back for the hotel and it's excellent location and quality food and drink.

Service was excellent, really excellent very impressed by every staff member there so thank you.
Hotel was lovely, spa is in need of a little TLc and there was some small patches of mold in the bathroom but the room was otherwise except.
The resturant and outside every is so lovey especially in the sun . We didn’t try the jetty as the prices just seemed too high. But the sundeck was excellent (still slightly overpriced)

I had to wait for the reception guy to be bothered to look up from his screen to ask if he could help. That 40 seconds could have been started with 'just give me a second' - he did the same to the people behind me!

I also had to contact the property as they charged me for the mini bar i never touched. No explanation - just a revised invoice.

Won't stay again, shame as room was amazing.
Will go back to the Hilton or Holiday Inn in Bournemouth.

Was very noisy due to massive Christmas parties happening which also meant bar and food service incredibly poor.

Restrictions on times children can use the pool are very limiting to your day if you want to make the most of the facilaties, please consider removing them especially at half term, on the Monday PM there was too many guests using so we missed out on the full slot of the pool times

I wish I didn’t feel like writing this as the hotel in different circumstances would’ve been lovely. I came there as a birthday treat to myself but as I’m a single parent my son was with me too. Pool times are clear on the website so it was our choice, but still many hotels now at least extend those times to longer periods over half term. Harbour extended those by 30 mins a day not even a session. We really wanted to have a cosy night in and have a room service on our first night but there was no way of getting through to them so we had to go down the restaurant and eat options that we didn’t really fancy. Although those options were very tasty. Sleep. If I had a good sleep I wouldn’t have written anything. I am working single parent I came for a break - I need sleep. But our room was so hot (end of October) and the window only had shutters and no blackout curtain. By opening those shutters at nought we were met by a glaring light from both a street lamp and light from the housekeeping outbuilding right in our window. Neither my son nor I managed to get good sleep on other of the two nights stay. And breakfast. It was good quality but so limited in healthy or really any options. Mostly pastries and some fruit with yoghurt and some tiny slices cheeses with some meets. It’s continental but somehow I expected at least a few more non pastry related options. Restaurant staff were great. Receptionist who checked us in was abrupt and I appeared couldn’t bear to hear much about pool.

The room was small, there was a funny smell when I entered the room so had to air it out. The shutters there instead of curtains were broken so let light in. I think it is overpriced for what you get.

Everything was fine. No complaints apart from the bed being so high I needed a leg up!
Complimentary G&T a bit odd. They come around with ice if you’re there but once the Gin has run out they don’t refill it not even on 3rd night and you have to buy more tonic.

The hotel itself could probably do with a bit of refurbishment. Stayed in a harbour view room on top floor and the fabric headboard was quite grubby. The coffee machine was on the floor in the wardrobe so you had to lift it out and set it on the side to use it. The kettle was in the wardrobe and the socket was in there but had to unwind the lead from the base of the kettle to be able to plgtit in and there was no light in the wardrobe so had to have the main room lights on to be able to see what you were doing in the wardrobe to make the tea. Bathroom was fine, nice shower. Curtains a bit tired and torn on the back. Didn't use the spade facilities m Ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious, really rated the meal. Breakfast was similar to any other hotel or cafe.

We booked a night as a treat. When we arrived cars were double parked and there were no spaces available. The hotel had a wedding and christening party so was very busy. Check in didn’t take long but was rushed, I wasn’t sure re breakfast times and options but thought I’d find it in our room so didn’t ask. I later checked with the restaurant. Our room was in a small building between the car park and road. A steep spiral staircase led us to our room . The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The double ended shower facilities amazing. It was a hot day so we opened the windows, it was quite noisy with guests later and staff trollies and traffic in the morning. The location is brilliant for walking to Mudeford quay. Breakfast was great as was the waiter service. The view from the restaurant is lovely. The spa pool is narrow so only suitable for 3 swimmers , unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of action, it didn’t feel the most inviting spa. Preparation for the next days wedding was underway. We stayed at a busy time of year and wouldn’t do so again, though would like to go when no events and quieter.

We would highly recommend The Harbour Hotel and Spa. The service is amazing, the staff are so friendly, the hotel is clean and in a wonderful position. The food is delicious! We loved the fact that we could have our balcony door open all night and it was so quiet and peaceful. We also loved the trolley that came round at 5pm to restock your ice, drinks etc… plus the complementary gin!! Beds were so comfortable and room really clean. The Spa was lovely too!! You can’t go wrong staying there!

The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The food at The Jetty Restaurant was so delicious and first class. The Upper Deck Restaurant was also lovely. A MUST hotel to stay in.
