We absolutely loved our stay at LUX Belle Mare. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, and our room was spotless and well equipped. Even after checking out, we were able to use all the facilities for the day, and the hotel provided a shower room before our evening flight. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

Comparing this to the Maldives

- All inclusive isn’t the best deal as you only get 30% off restaurants and menus outside the standard AI
- Beaches are beautiful but public so expect to be hassled by locals selling things
- Staff need training, not overly attentive and when making a complaint - not hugely responsive

It’s a lovely hotel, beautiful setting but food options are limited in my opinion (even the truck for street food is very very greasy and unhealthy)

Lux Belle Mare was just simply amazing and perfect!! All levels of staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you!
The food choices were really great and so many options for different cuisines. Chefs at each counter were really friendly and would make fresh pancakes or naan bread for you.
We also dined at Amari by Chef Vineet Bhatia and this was also really great and so worth the visit!
The beach was absolutely beautiful too, white sandy beach with lots of loungers. However the swimming pool would have been great with more loungers.
We were celebrating our pearl anniversary and they gave us a few different treats that made it all feel very special.
Would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel!

Our stay at LUX was exceptional. The amenities are clean, the staff is ultra nice. The beach in front of the hotel is probably the best we’ve visited. We were there for our honeymoon and for my husband’s birthday and we were spoiled with so many surprises, like champagne, cake, massages, cocktails mixing class and a number of other things. There is also so much to do, that if you wish, you don’t have to leave the hotel. There is a program with number of events every day - for children and for adults. We visited the spa, used the tennis court, went to the cinema night. Everything was perfect during our stay.

Amazing Hotel ! Great for families. Food and Pool was amazing. One downside is you are far away from absolutely everything. So if you plan on adventuring out and about hire a car from the airport and prepare to travel (30-40 mins minimum)

It was a group visit, looking for a very special destination.
Our age range from 2 years through 30 and 40, 60 and 70.
Such wide requirements, but they met them all. Room comfort, activity opportunities, outstanding pool and beach are second to none. “Buffet Eating” never my style, but this is Buffet beyond my previous understanding and 3 other exceptional dining options. Great Bar too. A very wonderful offer.

Hotel design & rooms, spa & wellness facilities are very good. But low value for money, property tries to be super exclusive based on the prices but does not deliver accordingly, especially in the service area. Service personal is partly rude, talking to themself rather than the customer they are serving. They are serving you only ones in the restaurant and they are not really attentive afterwards, eg refilling of water/wine, asking for dessert etc. The dinner reservation seem to be not possible at the time the guest request it and it’s not ensured to get even a table every evening in a restaurant. Can happen, but also then no compensation or free room service is Bering offered. Short the guest are not beeing treated as prio 1.

Jenny greeted us and gave us an extensive overview of the resort. We booked in for various activities. She always made a point to chat to us and ask how we were.

Bilal was fantastic at the coffee bar. Very friendly and gave us good recommendations.

A little slice of heaven. From entering to checking out the Lux goes beyond. Its incredibly clean, staff welcoming and attentive. The little touches really made our stay perfect. The rooms are so spacious, beds soft yet supportive. Daily cleaning and turn down service was always perfect. The options for food were excellent. For the 6 nights we were there the buffet was always different, the al a carte options also really varied and the skill of the chefs was amazing. We were blown away by the patisserie options and high quality food. Particular mention to Sharon and her skills with chocolate! The weather wasnt always on ourside during our stay so the current was a bit strong to swim for us but we were just unlucky due to the weather. But the beach is clean, plenty of sun loungers,and you can walk several km down to see even more views. Concerige is excellent and helped us book beginners horse riding on the beach which was loved. We would not hesitate to return! No negatives at all!!

The hotel was very nice, food excellent, the bar ok. The gardens were beautifully kept.
Really great size room, bed super comfy.
Couple comments would be in the main restaurant, Mondo should have hand sanitizers with it being a buffet. I much prefer la carte which is served in Beach Rouge and the other restaurants on the resort (which are not included in the all inclusive rate)
Lots of sun beds on the beach, but not enough around the pool and although a polite message, saying that if beds were left empty for more than 45 minutes the towels would be removed, no members of the team seamed to be taking any action…..same with the adult pool, lots of children in the adult area, but the life guards took no notice, which was dangerous.
Only minor points and didn’t mate the holiday….the beach made it

We had the most amazing stay at the Lux Belle Mare! The team were so welcoming, hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The resort was clean, comfortable and luxurious, and the variety and quality of the food surpassed expectations. The honeymoon package made our stay extra special! The reception team assisted us with restaurant reservations both at the hotel and elsewhere. The buffet, and the Chinese and Indian restaurants at the hotel, and the local Japanese restaurant Hasu were our standouts. Restaurants seemed to get booked up quickly so it was important to plan ahead, but it was always possible to dine at the hotel buffet restaurant. The pool and beach were beautiful and the hotel includes some complimentary water activities/sports which we realised too late. There is free on-site parking with gated access for security, and found it easy to travel by car rental across the island to all our areas of interest. We would definitely visit again in the future and would highly recommend the resort to anyone looking to stay in Mauritius.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience overall. The location was fantastic, with a pristine beach just steps away. The service was great, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, offering a wide variety of delicious options.I don't have any major complaints. There was a minor issue where I was supposed to meet with the manager, Hareesh, before I left regarding a small issue I had. A message was left for him through another manager, but the meeting never occurred. I assume he was busy, so it's not a big deal.Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Our stay at LUX Belle Mare in Mauritius was extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, setting a perfect tone for our visit.

The friendly staff greeted us upon arrival, making us feel right at home. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to Ghada’s exceptional service and radiant smile.

A highlight of our stay was meeting Sanjay, who ensured we had towels and water for our speedboat ride, making our experience more comfortable despite the rain. These thoughtful gestures set this hotel apart from others.

Every meal was a delight, especially the South Indian cuisine prepared by the talented chefs. The buffet offered a variety of dishes catering to all tastes, each prepared with utmost care and quality.

A special mention goes to Kamlesh, whose exceptional service and care truly stood out. When I spilled hot tea, Kamlesh immediately brought a cold towel and water. When my wife fell ill, he prepared a soothing drink. His attention to detail and genuine concern for our well-being were exceptional.

We are truly grateful for the exceptional service provided by all the staff members at LUX Belle Mare. Our stay has been filled with memorable moments, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. We will gladly recommend LUX to anyone looking for a wonderful stay.

We recently came to Lux Belle Mar for our honeymoon and it was way above our expectations. The staff were very warm, genuine and so friendly they totally made our honeymoon a wonderful experience. Big shout out to Delores, Chica and the restaurant management team for making us feel so special. Food is exquisite and changes everyday so you cannot get bored. The poolside ice cream parlour was totally irresistible. I would totally recommend this hotel and we will be coming back for sure!!!! If you also need a taxi driver ask for Sweetie!!! She is amazing and very trustworthy. She made our journeys outside the hotel very pleasant.

We had a outstanding time at the Lux Bellemare ! From the beginning to the end the staff was extremely attentioned and helpful. For all our queries the concierge staff helped us, the restraurant's staff was always keen to help and so kind to us all along, same for the staff at the beach and swimming pool. Our kids loved going to the activities of the kids club - again the staff their was wonderful.
There was a cyclone expected and the hotel put some plan/measures in place and always kept us informed and prepared activities inside for the kids. We did not even noticed it (apart from the rain !).
The facilities of the hotel are great, we enjoyed the snorkeling and the swimming pool. We (and our kids) especially liked the swimming pool at it is very shallow and allowed us to feel very relaxed in letting them go by themselves - althought there was someone wathcing the swimming pool at all times.
Despite most of the hotel host taking sunbeds, we always found room and the staff always helped us find room for us - they free the sunbeds when un-used which was great. The food at the main restaurant was outstanding ! The quality, the range of food was excellent. The kids had their own special buffet and I must say the kids desserts were very successful (ice cream, popcorn, fruits, even \"barbe a papa\" !).
Thanks to the kids club we, the parents, managed to have some parent time alone during the day and the evenings which was great - we ALL enjoyed our relax time there.

Amazing family focused beach resort

Recently renovated in October 2023 this family focused beach resort is brand new with a modern, relaxed and contemporary feel. Everything is spotlessly clean and new and designed to make your time effortless, such as a never ending supply of clean beach towels and buttons on the sunshades to call for service. Talking of service, nothing is too much trouble for the staff who do their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel has a prime spot on a delightful beach with plenty of sand and a swimming area in the sea. Inevitably, prime spot sun beds are grabbed early but there are plenty along the beach or around the pool. The pool is huge and takes a central place in the resort, as it is the only pool it tends to be taken over by children but it’s not noisy and is spacious enough. The restaurant looks over the pool and provides a wonderful selection of great quality food all day long (buffet style for breakfast and dinner). There is one other beach club style restaurant right on the beach which has a cool vibe but as it’s the only other option included in the packages it is often booked up. For extra money there is an Indian and Chinese fine dining option and you get a 30% discount here if you are on an all inclusive package. There is a simple spa with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi to relax in and the resort offers snorkelling trips and a few sailing boats and pedalos. The rooms are amazing and the junior suites are spacious and extremely comfortable.

I really appreciate the hospitality with which my Mother & I were welcomed and also with which we were seen off. They almost felt like family. I wish I could name everyone but will highlight Veena's welcome, Sanjay, Gopi and Alina's guidance about sightseeing & route, at the front desk, Chef Puran & Chef Subi's delicacies at the main dining hall & Amari by Vineet respectively. Vishal's generous hospitality at the dinner table making us feel at home and welcome. All the smiling faces greeting us at meals, Priya, Neha, Priyanka, Poonam and the list goes on. Chandini & team's hardwork in keeping our room environment clean & comfortable via their environmental services and last but not the least the hotel taxi drivers for taking us around to all the nostalgic places we really wanted to visit. The Hotel is beautiful too with the pool , beach & live singing. Will love to visit again. Thank you all.

The hotel stuff is excellent, the facilities good and the location excellent, quality of the food above average. The room is good with pool view but a bit old(doors, cabinet, sunbeds) Although we notice the hotel about our honeymoon trip nothing was offered until day 4 out of 6 nights when they offer fruits and champagne.
Quite expensive of what they offer. Just imagine breakfast is €92 for 2 in you are on B/O.

Its a beautiful property with a beautiful beach. Very nicely maintained and close to Flacq village where you have a nice supermarket and a McDonalds (if your kids insist :) ). I would like to have an ATM on premise which was a bit annoying.

The staff worked very hard to make sure every part of our stay was fantastic. So many went the extra mile it would be unfair to just name some. The Indian Restaurant was particularly good and we were very well looked after in the Bar. The Rum tasting is a must do!

The resort management were very visible and checked personally every day that all was well with your stay.

We couldn’t have asked for better.

It is a very well laid out and wonderful property. Rooms are spacious, modern and charming. People are very friendly and lots of restaurants to choose from. Overall had a great time and will return again if there is an opportunity.

I went with my wife, our 5months daughter and my mom in law. The front desk staff was amazing, the hospitality was exceptional. We enjoyed dinner at Beach Rouge and Breakfast at Mixed was fantastic! We had a great time overall except our room was supposed to be sea facing but the sea was difficult to see from our room.

The staff were really friendly - shout out to Sheila from reception, Roopesh from Amari, Dave who was always so friendly in the mornings at the buffet and at the food truck, Shoobham from Duck Laundry, Shila from the reception desk and everyone else who was so warm and welcoming.

There were a range of food options to choose from which was great. At Amari all the meats were perfectly cooked & Duck Laundry had delicious duck dim sum! Great vege options at the food truck with the quinea burger & Beach Rogue if you fancied pizza / pasta, or seafood.

I loved the complimentary activities which included yoga, glass bottom boat & snorkelling.

Arrived in Mauritius on Monday evening , after an hour drive from the airport we arrived pretty late at Lux* Belle Mare. We were greeted with smiles and welcome drinks. Check in took less than 5 minutes. The room (Junior Suite) was tastefully decorated and very comfortable , but since I was travelling with the family I decided to upgrade to a villa(More space and a private heated pool). The villa's are amazing! We had 2 butlers who took care of us (Pravindh and Sanju). They went out of their way to provide for us absolutely anything we needed. It was more than just room/laundry service. They took care of our every need and treated us like royalty. We opted for the half board package so breakfast and dinner was included. We occasionally grabbed a bit from the food truck for lunch. The food at Lux Belle Mare cannot be faulted. In the week that we stayed there I do not remember eating the same thing twice. I had the pleasure of meeting Suren(the villa manager) who always made sure our needs/wants were taken care of. We usually get homesick after a few days of being away but Lux Belle Mare was a place we would never get tired off. We're already thinking about another trip next year! Well done guys , keep up the great work!!

Fantastic hotel. We went here for our delayed honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The beach was clean and beautiful. There were plenty of complimentary water activities including snorkelling and water skiing that you can try. The food was better in the standalone restaurants than the buffet but the buffet still had a large and tasty range. The best part of this was the friendliness of the staff who were always smiling and willing to help. A special thank you to Kay who helped me organise a lovely dinner in the gazebo for my wife's birthday. She loved it and it was made much easier with Kay's support. If you are looking for a relaxed , away from the world break then this is what you need. It's in a quiet place with not much to do locally outside of the hotel but still only about an hours drive from other parts of the island. Would be happy to go back again.

Jennifer our wedding coordinator was excellent since we touch base! Sheila the guest relationship manager also fabulous to us.
Highly recommended for vacation or if your having your wedding ceremony there.

Overall this is a great hotel, thoughtfully designed with a lovely beach and very good facilities. The food selection could be better and is pretty expensive compared to the quality of food available locally (we had a huge pile of BBQ lamb and chicken from an amazing local grill for the price of two cups of coffee in the hotel, fresh lobster two ways in a great seafood place for half the price of lobster night at the hotel etc)
