If you’re dreaming of paradise, look no further than Constance Prince Maurice in Mauritius — an absolute gem that somehow manages to be both incredibly luxurious and completely relaxed.

From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable — warm, thoughtful and genuine. Every detail was taken care of, and nothing was too much trouble. The food? Out of this world. Fresh seafood, fragrant curries, the best breakfast spread I’ve seen (and I take my breakfasts very seriously).

But what truly set it apart for us was the kids club. Our 8-year-old was in heaven — from cooking classes to beach treasure hunts and movie nights, he was constantly buzzing with excitement. It gave us time to truly unwind, knowing he was happy and safe with the loveliest team who made him feel like royalty.

Constance Prince Maurice gave us the perfect end to our big family adventure — calm, beauty, and memories we’ll never forget.

Already dreaming of going back.

Excellent resort. Our villa (on stilts) was quiet, had all the expected amenities and more, and overlooked the lake, although the boardwalk did have a significant people drifting passed, particularly to the restaurant. Food excellent; staff very helpful. Wine expensive. Was given a villa to stay after check-out before a late airport departure, very much appreciated.
2 minor concerns: our villa was always cleaned late (after 2pm) which meant we had to wait before going back there after lunch. The food service on the anniversary night was random (very fast then very slow, then no bill!). Other nights it was fine. Overall very pleasant stay and thoroughly enjoyable.

I recently stayed at Constance Prince Maurice during my honeymoon, and it was incredibly disappointing.

We arrived in Mauritius at 12:30 PM and reached the hotel by 3 PM, starving after our last meal at 11 AM on the plane. Expecting to grab a bite at this five-star hotel, our request for food was refused. The kitchen closed at 6 PM, and a staff member rudely told us to \"go eat something in your room.\" This service is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber.

After insisting on speaking to the manager, we were seated away from other diners, which felt isolating. Despite our complaints, we were convinced to stay, hoping for improvement.

The next day, after visiting a nature park, we returned around 5 PM to relax by the pool, expecting a peaceful evening. However, at 7 PM, we were told to leave because the pool was closing for cleaning, though no cleaning was happening. Our moment was shattered, and we were told that if we didn’t like the rules, we should leave.

Feeling stranded, we decided to check out. The staff argued that they had our money and wouldn’t let us leave, showing little regard for our situation. With limited funds after our wedding, we felt trapped. We had to find another hotel at 11:30 PM, settling for a lower-rated place.

Our honeymoon was ruined by this lack of hospitality. I advise against staying at Constance Prince Maurice. They showed a complete lack of care and left us to fend for ourselves in a foreign country. Choose a hotel that values its guests.

A stunning hotel with exceptional service and truly 5* food and drink. Although the rooms and some of the facilities are a little dated, please do not let this put you off as it is an absolutely incredible resort and the staff, pool/beach and dining options are impeccable. Could not recommend the all inclusive option more highly, it is fantastic value for money given the quality of food, drinks and activities on offer. We will definitely be back in the future!

Sweet end to our Honeymoon.

Short but sweet!

We moved to Constance Prince Maurice for the last two nights of our honeymoon after staying at the Sands Suites and being disappointed.

It’s a beautiful resort with so much to do. A great sized gym and spa. Any room you stay in has a gorgeous view. Boutique shops.

The food was delicious and the restaurants service was top notch. Loved the idea of the floating restaurant but it actually gave me a bit of motion sickness but that’s just me.

Our first room the aircon wasn’t cooling down to the 18.5C so we were given a room to sleep in but then woken early by cleaners entering that room obviously unaware it was occupied. We were then moved to a villa for our last night, Which was lovely.

We would definitely come back.
We were on our honeymoon and this hotel allowed children but that didn’t affect our stay whatsoever. There is a great kids club and a babysitting service too.

Overall a lovely end to our honeymoon.

Constance Prince is by far the best 5 star hotel I have EVER been to! The service on an individual level is super exceptional! I have never had so much personalized attention before in any hotel. Everyone attending to me knew me by name and could already anticipate my needs even before I got there. Their attention to detail is unparalleled and the touch of excellence is in every single thing about them. It’s really exceptional to be in a place like this.
Special thanks to Mrs Sarika, Terry,Winsley, Sharonne, Mr Mehess ( absolute superstar at breakfast), Luiba, Yash, and so many more whose names I cannot remember cause really everyone was so so kind. They even gave me a special cake for my birthday 😊.
I will definitely be choosing CP on my next visit to Mauritius.

e Prince Maurice is considered as one of the top luxury hotels in Mauritius, and I wanted to see for myself if this reputation is deserved. I have to admit the hotel lives up to its lofty reputation for excellent services. All the staff have been professional and courteous and went out of their way to accommodate a request which was important for me , despite being at full capacity. Special mention to Genevieve and Theo. The facilities are top notch and I was genuinely surprised (and happy) that the the restaurants offer Mauritian dishes which were tasty. I stayed in one of the villa which oversees the ‘barachois’, and has a great view to the sea and the surrounding mangrove which gives the hotel a nice cachet. In short, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in anywhere in the world and will highly recommend.

We originally booked at another hotel and stuck it out for two days until enough was enough. Constance Prince Maurice was a breath of fresh air and just the kind of pampering vacation we were hoping for when we booked a trip to Mauritius. The staff and service was impeccable, the facilities and beach were pristine and luscious, the restaurants all had great options and there were the basics (that were already 5 star) and then the supplemental events (like our dinner with a menu by a visiting michelin star chef). Everyone knew us by name no matter where we were and remembered details of our preferences. They were very kind and sweet. We never wanted to leave and have never felt like that about a hotel. Thank you for making our anniversary and my birthday trip so special, we cannot wait to visit again!

We had an amazing stay at the Prince Constance Maurice. The staff were all very friendly and the service was fantastic. We arrived at reception and was offered welcome drinks and our bags were taken into our rooms. Our room was spacious, clean and had a sizeable balcony overlooking the lagoon, there was even a welcome cake in our room! The overall resort and surroundings is v relaxing with its own private beach, a heated outdoor pool and another unheated huge outdoor pool. There was enough activities at the resort including jet skiing, sailing, snorkelling etc. which meant we didn't travel outside the resort. The spa was a great experience and would recommend it. Dinner was fantastic across the three restaurant. I can't fault our overall experience at this hotel and would have no reservations recommending it!

It was amazing. The suite, the amenities, the food, the watersports, the pool, the beach etc. But there is one thing that makes it a true six star hotel. The staff. From the guest relation manager to the guy bringing the bread on the tabel, it is pure excellence. Nothing is to much trouble. If you want something, they do their absolute best to make it happen.

We were sad that we had to leave Le Prince Maurice; partir c'est mourir un peu. But in the words of the staff:,Yes you will be leaving us, but only to return again.

And we most certainly will. We can't wait!

Perfect finish to an awesome honeymoon

The final leg of an incredible honeymoon, the Prince Maurice had a lot to live up to and it did not fail to deliver! A magical property worthy of its 5 star, luxury status. Delicious and varied food, exceptional staff and superb gym and sports facilities. There isn’t a single thing that could have improved our stay other than an extra few nights! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return to this hotel. Worth every penny, a very special place.

My wife and I Went for our 30th wedding anniversary. The staff was wonderful. Most staff has been there many years. The food is fabulous and the location is spectacular. Rooms were spacious and clean. Shout out to Pascal and Nadia at the floating restaurant. Sashi and Kristi on the beach, Roger in the Asian restaurant, Yuddish and Vegis for local rum tasting in the main bar. Also much thanks to Vanilla and Dadgi in the spa The whole staff is great! Can't wait to go back

It is difficult to put into words how utterly incredible our stay at the Prince Maurice was. From the second you walk into the reception area, to the minute you leave, the service was exceptional. The hotel is in a beautiful location, the food is second to none, but it is the staff that made the stay so very special. Travelled with 2 children, aged 1 & 3 having visited the island a few times previously but, not having stayed at Le Prince Maurice. We stayed in a beach pool villa. In short, the accommodation and dining are top rate but moreover the service is world class. There were requests and minor niggles during our stay and they were dealt with with the expediency and efficiency that only truly excellent management can deliver. This really is the best hotel on the island (not said at all lightly given the stupendous competition) to the extent that we landed this morning and are already planning our return.

Quick tip, the Yu Lounge at the airport (hotel can arrange for you) is worth every penny if you are travelling with children especially.

We stayed for 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The guest relations team especially went above and beyond to ensure we had a great honeymoon. The resort is not cheap, but i believe to be worth the money. So save your pennies before you arrive so you can really enjoy your stay! The food is to die for! I cannot recommend a night at the floating bar and restaurant enough. Truly an enjoyable, one of a kind experience.

I had ten days in this hotel to recover from burnout - due to a cyclone it rained for 7 of them and I still had a great time. Beautiful hotel, immaculately maintained, with many wonderful staff for whom nothing is too much trouble and an excellent spa. I look forward to returning.

Séjour de 4 nuits à l’Hôtel Prince Maurice. Nous avons eu la chambre 18, qui donne sur une étendue d’eau dégageant une forte odeur d’égouts. L’odeur était fréquente et, une nuit, elle a envahi la chambre au point de me réveiller.

Pour un établissement de ce standing et au vu du prix des nuits, c’est clairement inacceptable. Le problème avait pourtant été signalé durant le séjour.

C’est d’autant plus regrettable que les restaurants sont très bons et que le service est globalement de qualité.

Recueil des avis à la réception tout à fait inexistant différence de traitement entre les clients malheureusement avec Moi ça ne passe pas

Mais venant à Maurice 2 à 3 fois par an, je peux affirmer qu’il existe sur l’île plusieurs hôtels offrant une expérience bien supérieure pour un tarif comparable.
