The staff were all very friendly and helpful incl cleaners, waiters, chefs, buggy drivers, crèche staff and more. They could not do enough for us and it’s the people that made the stay great. We loved the buffet food particularly the Indian food. The crèche team made a big effort to make my kids 2nd birthday very special. Beautiful beach - great for the kids. We loved it.

We had the most wonderful stay at Long Beach Resort! The staff went above and beyond – they were always so friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Our family suite was absolutely beautiful – spotless, spacious, and perfectly designed for a family stay.
The resort itself was immaculate, with every facility kept clean and well-maintained. A highlight for our children was the Kids Club – they absolutely loved it! The staff there were warm, welcoming, and so attentive to the kids.
Dining at the resort was another incredible experience. Every restaurant we tried offered delicious food with a great variety, making every meal something to look forward to.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. Everything was perfect, and we truly cannot wait to come back again. Highly recommend Long Beach to anyone looking for a beautiful, family-friendly resort with top-notch service.

The propery is adverised as 5 star resort unfortunately it is not, the rooms we were shown to had various issues the curtians had holes in the dresser was broken. We complained and the staff were helpful and gave an upgrade. The rooms are not family friendly there are no doors between the bedroom and the shower ao if you are having a shower or on the toilet and you are sharing your room with young children there is nothing stopping them comming in. Also if you go online google will tell you the resort has a heated pool but it does not anymore. Glasses/saucers are not replaced and washed rather rinsed in the sink and put back for you to use. For the amount you pay it is not what i expected especially as a 5* resort.

Hotel was absolutely amazing and so were the staff, were all very friendly and helpful with our young children. Location amazing, pools brilliant and choice of food very good with the ability to go a la carte as often as liked. We were half board and the only negative is it is very expensive to buy drinks, soft or alcoholic. Would 100% recommend.

Amazing experience! Our stay at Long Beach was special as it is the place where we also had our wedding ceremony and reception. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. All the staff went the extra mile to assist us with anything we needed from the front desk to the restaurant to the laundry/dry cleaning. Shoutout to the dry cleaning ladies who put up with us with nothing but a smile.
Above all, everybody we interacted with encouraged us which was greatly appreciated during times where we thought our wedding would be impacted by adverse weather conditions.
It truly made our wedding and time there special with our family and friends.
The hotel is eco friendly, the rooms are modern and spacious and the room service is a 10/10. Highly recommend the club sandwitch. The only thing that could have been different is that there could be a curtain or separation between the room and the toilet as it is exposed. But we requested a curtain to be hung so it was all good.
The spa also is amazing!! The staff are professional and very friendly. We went for a massage and facial and it was one of the best we ever had. The ambience is very relaxing and we loved the entrance of the spa which had a series of fruits, plants and veggies planted. We thought it was a unique and great idea.
We will definitely go back to Long Beach!

The scenery around the hotel was nice but that was it. Everything else about the resort was not worth a return. Was very disappointed with what was received for the price. Out of two rooms one the ac did not work the other the water heater did not work. We only tried the breakfast and for an all inclusive stay it was blah. If you are only concerned with the beach and pool then you might enjoy it.

We returned to Long Beach after three years and sadly the service has dropped and the facilities are in need of updating. Whilst there we had a day of broken air con, another of no hot water for the showers and another with no power to the electric sockets in our room and a broken phone- they have a WhatsApp chat with you to offer assistance but all issues raised were never replied to. We were on all inclusive package and the mini bar wasn’t refilled for two days. The room wasn’t cleaned on one day too. The bar and setting is good and overall the food is good- a bit hit and miss depending on who is running the kitchen that day but Hasu is incredible. Swimming pool needed a clean as has suncream grease on the top layer. Really sad as we chose to come for our 10th anniversary but we made the wrong choice. Some staff are incredible which made up for some of it and we made the most of the holiday but would never return and wouldn’t recommend anymore. More like 3*

Hotel staff service is terrible. The pool needs maintenance as the tiles at the bottom are starting to get off the surface, people are complaining of their food orders they never received. No water bottle in room and when I called 3 times they said they will bring it right away and never received it ! All hotels give complimentary water bottles . Long beach quality of service and even the food have gone down a lot. Will not go back !

Good hotel and spa facilities. Food was excellent in the restaurants. We were half board and think All Inclusive would not be worth the extra money.
Difficult to book excursions though the hotel. You needed to book with travel reps that turned up between 10/12 each day (not Sundays). No help from hotel guest services or concierge.
Book a table was difficult, you needed to book at least two 2 days in advance. Limited covers per night at all restaurants other than the buffett.

Nice that the pool was also right near the beach. Good activities by the beach. Arranged outside of hotel scope.
Hear for a fly and flop. Unlikely to visit again, but overall a good holiday.

Property in general was ok, however level of service offered for a 5 star was not accepted. From the day we arrived and from the room prep and dining options the service was very slow and not to the level of a 5 star what we paid for. Hotel is fully aware of my feelings and offered me a refund for extra however, this was meant to be an auspicious occasion for our anniversary and I am not happy with Expedia for the hotel marketing and the Sun resorts for the experience we received.

We liked the overall area, everything was well kept (plants, paths, etc.). All staff was kind and friendly. Kids club was a big plus for families with children, having a friendly staff also to kids who do not understand EN/FR. Overall good catering except for the ice cream that could be better. What disappointed us a bit were the locations within the area with a very poor or no wi-fi signal, even at the pool, as well as a lack of sunbeds near the pool and on the beach. If you do not wake up early enough, you probably won´t find a vacant sunbed anymore during the day. But on the whole we enjoyed the stay there.

Stay away from this hotel!
We had a terrible experience there and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there.
We stayed there for 4 nights, on our last night, when organizing our stuff before the flight we found out that someone was picking our things and took 150$ out of 500$ we had (probably didn’t take all the money because they hoped we wouldn’t notice), when reporting the guest relations and reception they didn’t seem to be surprised and didn’t really do anything about it, only promised they will investigate it. Obviously it wouldn’t help us and we won’t get our money back and not only that, when checking out- we found out some extra charges we didn’t have (also here probably there are people that don’t check their bill and pay things they shouldn’t!) and they didn’t even apologized on it and requested us to pay the money! I would expect them to not charge us for 120$ of charges we had in order to make us to feel a little bit better after this terrible experience of knowing that the someone of the hotel staff got inside our room and picked our personal stuff!
Shame on you and hope other guests will be aware that there are thieves walking between them, whatcha your stuff carefully!
The location of the hotel is great but there are other hotels that self-respect theirselves and wouldn’t allow their guests to leave with such a bad feeling and aggravation.

Fantastic facilities! Loved the great entertainment that was every night. Lovely lounge areas to relax. Best Spa massages!! We even went back whilst staying at another 5 star hotel as they were so good. The only downside was the lack of snack options I between 3-6pm ish but we found this at most hotels. The beach was a bit windy but it was their winter so expect that on the east coast further north. Otherwise great stay!!

My husband and I just returned from Long Beach for a week to celebrate my birthday. I can't say enough great things about this resort and it's staff. Additionally, the food was excellent with so much choice at the main restaurant - a different themed buffet experience every night - plus 4 other restaurants to choose from (Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Seafood). We had a half board package with breakfast and dinner included which was just right for us. The breakfast is excellent with so many hot and cold choices, pastries, fruit - you name it, it is there. Our suit was oceanfront and we had a gorgeous view and a nearly private beach (near \"Sun Beach\") as many of the other guests spent time at the larger main stretch of beach. It was so peaceful listening to the waves crash from our terrace every morning and in the evening. This is exactly what I had hoped for, for the holiday - relaxation, beach and great food. A number of staff members made our time very special (Kiran, Tony, Feena, Keebo, Youshah, etc.) but everyone is very dedicated to making guests feel welcome. When staff members heard it was a birthday trip, they had all kinds of little surprises planned for me throughout the day. (I don't want to spoil the surprises in case other visitors celebrate a birthday while there so I won't include any details. :D ) It was amazing! It's very rare that my husband gives a 5 star rating but he agreed that Long Beach deserves it too. We couldn't have asked for more.

Unable to contact receiption, concierge or the restaurant...phones just left to ring. Not all restaurant are open every night or told that they are fully booked....which makes dinner options very limited. Hotel very out dated....needs a upgrade. Very disappointed with this hotel... they are more 3 star standards.

Relaxing and enjoyable time at Long Beach

Just returned from 8 nights at Long Beach which we throughly enjoyed. We had a Junior Suite which was very spacious, comfortable and well positioned. It wasn't the closest room to the beach or pool (still only a 2 minute walk tops) but close to the restaurants and bars. Couldn't fault the buffet food and throughly enjoyed the restaurants, Sapori in particular. With regards to drinks the only slight criticism I have was the limited mocktail menu (I'm pregnant) so some other variations would have been nice. There are only so many Virgin Mojito's you can drink in a day ;)

Staff very helpful, approachable and chatty. Reception team were very helpful with some of our stranger requests and we had some great waiters/waitresses in Sapori, in particular a big shout out to Davidson and his team, they made our last evening meal one to remember (Thanks again guys!!).

*Negative:
-Check - In process is very slow ( 1 person serving three new arrivals !!). The check in took more than 20 min.
- The given room was not as requested. After having a long discussion with the management , the manager has offered be an upgrade in a return . However, the upgraded room was the same room which i have originally reserve , so it was not an actual upgrade.
-Food quality for the breakfast needs improvement
-The restaurant next the pool closes sometime in the afternoon

But please be aware drinks are 3 times more expensive , taxis are connected to hotel they to are 3 times more expensive than locals are charged can work out to Port Louis 50-60 pound .
There are restaurants in hotel but you can be charged extra for popular foods i.e., spring rolls in the Chinese , Some foods in the Italian are the same
I would say eat in the Buffet food is above and beyond amazing cannot fault it has a different theme with loads of choice ..
I would say this really is a beach holiday .

Good restaurants. The fine dining restaurant Hasu was excellent. The service and cocktails across the resort was great. Two complaints:
1. The hotel send me a review in French; I requested twice an english review form but they never responded.
2. The resort has a tipping policy, which they don't tell you about. When you tip a waiter, the tip goes to the resort and not to the waiter. This causes the waiters to tell everyone to tip in cash and because of the staff, whilst still providing good service, not being with the management on this policy, they also give drinks away for free.

I had a very nice experience with the hotel. The rooms are very specious. The food is very good. The only recommendation is to have change of menu for the breakfast since the same items get bored after 2/3 days and for people staying for week plus really get bored. Otherwise, it is a wonderful place to stay.

Free green fee, but the golf course was not at the resort!
Check in receptionist was excellent. Breakfast was good.
Water sports staff was rude, if you wanted anything(snorkel gear/life jacket/kayak, etc) from them, they would pull a long face, then talk in their own language.
We booked room only, went to the \"Tides\" for early dinner, was turn down, said the restaurant was fully booked, there was only a few tables was seated, next day we saw friends who we met at the resort, they had dinner there, said it was half empty all night.
The resort is big, takes a long time to walk from one place to another, only one towel booth available, so if you want to do water sports or lay by the beach, you must get your towels first by the main pool.
The room is exactly same as the photo, the hardware is 3 stars hotel, the service was not up to standard. I would not choose this resort again, we stayed in the Hilton on west side of the island, service was excellent & professional thru out our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at Long Beach. Great room, food, drinks and facilities.

The housekeeping and waiting staff were brilliant. Front desk not as friendly or helpful but that was a minor point.

As a football fan having Supersport meant I could watch the big English Premier League matches which was a nice bonus.

One negative is the booking system for the restaurants. If you're queuing at 8am you're unlikely to be able to get a booking. It's not good and needs to be looked at. We managed to get booked for two nights but had to settle for the buffet the rest of the week. It's really good so not too bad a consolation prize!

A Special place for a special holiday

On arrival we were greeted with a drink by the concierge who was also available throughout the trip for any questions or advice, we had occasion to speak to her a couple of time and she was very helpful. The room was spacious and our cleaner Angelica was lovely, if we left the tag on the door she did not disturb and when we were out, upon returning the room was lovely and clean. The food was amazing, although get up early to book the restaurants, try them all as we were very pleasantly surprised. Drinks and snacks by the pool and beach were a treat, we were very glad we were all inclusive as it is expensive if not.
The beach was beautiful, clean, sun beds available - the amazing part was the hotel was fully booked and yet you didn't feel crowded at all, the area is well equipped for the amount of visitors.
We played tennis most mornings all part of the all inclusive, it was great fun (although very hot) I would strongly recommend taking some sports wear. We would have liked to have gone to the golf but only managed the 3 holes on the complex. There was no chance of us going to the gym but we did have a look it had what you needed if you fancy it. There were also Aqua aerobics and other classes available if you felt the need.
Evening entertainments was quite good although we had a little trouble actually getting served, we did mention this and they seemed to improve as the week went on which shows to me that they take notice and try to improve.

Terrific Homiday

Great beach, terrific swimming pools, excellent food, very good sporting facilities ..particularly good windsurfing and water skins a short distance away. Friendly helpful staff. The room itself was not as goof as I would have expected from a hotel of this caliber. Very nice holiday... Yet..didn't quite have the \"Mauritian\" feel or ambience.

Close to the beach, but nothing else.

This is a great resort for parents, but if you want to be entertained or be close to a lovely town then this isn't the place for you.

Furthermore you need some real patience. It takes time to get a drink, room service, things to be fixed etc etc... It lacks that top end service and the staff are not trained properly. Management are lovely, but they're not handling the daily interactions.

Number one pet hate... The lady coming to clean the room would always take our clean beach towels! I just don't understand why she would do that.

Amazing Hotel

we stayed 10 days in Mauritius, staying in 4 different hotels all at the same price approximately. Long Beach was one of the best if not the best.You can not fault them for anything. From the swimming pool to the beach to activities to breakfast, everything is perfect. The only downside was that the meals are rather expensive (~£30/head) but for a 5 star hotel that is expected. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying on the east coast.

Awesome Resort with lots to do

Stayed here for 5 nights for our 1st wedding anniversary. Had a bit of a mix up on check in which could of been handled better, our room was not ready and were told to wait but after 30 minutes nothing so I went and asked and they said AC issue in room but then nothing again for 30 minutes so finally I said they need to do something so they gave us a room to change and gave us a free lunch and drinks after I asked for them to do something about it.The main pool has all these nice relaxing beds in the pool but kids screaming, running & splashing.

Other than that the resort was great, large resort with heaps to do. Sports staff really friendly and great in getting people to play soccer, volleyball etc. Great games room, gym & spa

one night they surprised us with a anniversary cake which was nice then one day our room cleaner put flowers on our bed and all over the room which was nice.

The most relaxing vacation

We had the most memorable holiday in Maurritious at this resort. It is well oriented for families since the kids club is really amazing. They take care of children with a daily plan that includes several activities during the day, different each day of the week. They feed them too. The all inclusive deal is recommended for families. There were only two things, the Japanese restaurant is expensive and not even that great. The food was greasy and unlike anywhere else on that resort, the staff was not helpful. The other thing was the motor boats which operated very close to the stretch of beach, constantly for parasailing. Not only the noise was disturbing but they made the calm water wavy too.

Fabulous 5 star family hotel

We spent 10 days at the hotel with our twins. they loved the kids club. the ladies there did an amazing job with various activities changing daily! My daughter spent more time there then with us! Says it all!
the rooms were very nice. we had 2 rooms next to each other. the kids room had two separate beds which was fabulous. unfortunately the AC in the room did not work properly i.e. in comparison to our room which was always cooler (the kids did not mind). cleanliness was good. the room attendants were very attentive and made lovely animals out of towels for the kids which they loved.
the hotel has 5 restaurants. a main buffet restaurant which was nice but i would not say 5 star. the italien restaurant was also decent for being in Mauritius. there was a chinese restaurant which we loved and which was serving very nice food. one evening we went without the kids to the japanese restaurant. we were a bit disappointed. 2 set menus only. the sushi were nice per what my husband said. i don't like sushi so went for the other menu. it was ok but we only went to the restaurant once and would not go there again.... much more could be done with this restaurant.
the seefood restaurant on the beach side serves lovely fish and local mauritian food. very nice atmosphere and good food. the pool is huge and great for the kids! there is also an infinity pool only for adults which is nice as well. the beach is clean and has umbrellas and long chairs. we will come again. more a family hotel.

Very disappointed

Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked while I was there which put everyone and everything under huge pressure. The hotel was completely understaffed so service was incredibly slow (no fault of the actual staff who tried hard and were run off their feet ). The hotel certainly didn't deserve it's 5 star rating as every morning we had to book our loungers early as there weren't sufficient to go around - picture waking up at 6.30 on your holiday to put towels on loungers. All complimentary activities were fully booked and two of the restaurants retracted their a la carte menus for the duration of the stay which made dinners impossible as I refused to pay 1800 rupees for a very average buffet each evening. In addition to all of this there was an additional charge for nearly everything - including the tea and coffee in the rooms and drinking water.

Great stay

Its a nice hotel with great facilities. Staff is helpful and pleasant.
Restaurant/Buffet food could be better in my opinion. My best experience was dining at HASU Restaurant-Chef Gereesh prepared awesome Yakitori's.
Dario, one of the managers, was extremely helpful and made our stay memorable.
Our room boy Selvin also made sure our stay was comfortable.

Not for couples!!!!!

It is a new resort. Therefore the grounds, facilities and rooms are still clean. The room we reserved was basic but it was spacious and well designed. The issues are the atmosphere and service. It is a resort that receives a lot of package deal tourists and groups. If you prefer a relaxed quiet atmosphere, this resort is not for you. The resort is under staffed especially at the reception desk. Guests have a long wait checking in and out. I waited half an hour before it was my turn only to learn the room was not ready. Then they asked me to return in an hour. After over an hour the room was still not ready. It took another hour. There was no smile or personal hospitality from the hotel employees. They also played loud music until midnight. We were planing to stay for few days but left next morning which was not soon enough. Definitely did not have the service of a five star hotel.

Great Location & Amazing Food

The hotel is well architected which promotes a feeling of well-being......lush gardens, stunning spa, room design great. The 9 days we were there it was very windy but apparently this is the norm for that side of the island and on exceptionally hot days does cool things down a lot. There are 5 restaurants (not all open every day so need to check with reception daily) and the food is excellent in all of them. Service on the beach and in the evenings is exceptional everywhere. Had incident at one of the restaurants over lunch.....service very poor; we complained and the attending exec manager was called and helped resolve the issue. We found the waiters at the breakfast buffet very slow (i.e. we were never asked if we want tea or coffee, we had to find a waiter and request this - sometimes more than once). Helps if you are French-speaking we think. Music in the evening same band 5 nights a week. Different band other 2 nights. If you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway probably not the place for you.......LOTS of young children. Check in process took best part of an hour? So we missed restaurants that could provide lunch.

Excellent facilities, perfect family holiday

We have a family of 3 and really enjoyed our holiday at Long Beach with plenty for all the family. Rooms and pool areas are fantastic and children really liked the teen club and water sports. Service was a little variable with some excellent staff but others less so - this was improving even during the 10 days we stayed. Personally I would say the resort lacks a really good French restaurant rather than both Japanese and Chinesr restaurants. The Italian was excellent.

Nice hotel near to a beautiful beach!

I only stayed one night at long beach. But i wish i stayed there longer.
Room is comfortable and clean. The ocean view room has a nice balcony. However it is a bit far from the beach so not as much ocean view as i would like. Food is ok. Hotel has many facilities that are in good condition. The beach is beautiful. Overall satisfied.
