We were treated like absolute royalty the whole time. Staff are so attentive and managers keen to make sure we were happy throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble. Housekeeping was consistently high standard and Babita was always so friendly and accommodating. The food and drink offerings were amazing, with lots of different venues within the resort, each with their own unique characters. The Italian restaurant was my favourite. There were so many water sports available as well as other activities. The evening entertainment showed a variety of musical acts, with special event evenings as well that were brilliantly implemented. The spa is beautiful as well. Ambre represents excellent value for money with all the little extras that are included. We really hope to return!

The stay was very memorable, the dining experience was great, however it was hard to book for the 2 other restaurants. The room was a bit underwhelming, nothing special even the walls were not completely straight, painting on them was second rate, some hard to reach places were full of dust or sand which may be acceptable for some given the location, but for us it was a slight letdown. It was not unclean by any means but for a 4 star hotel we’d expect more. We had also trouble to get the 2 bottles of water every day, one day we had to call 5 times and ended up grabbing it ourselves.
Some staff were not very helpful, but some went the extra mile and more. Which is why I can recommend the place.
The taxi liaison lady was excellent in coordinating our trips and Chef Kenny at the La Plage was incredible. He made our honeymoon dinner unforgettable. I would go back there, when its not season to make it a bit more affordable, for the price we paid I’d expect a bit more.

Nice place to view once, but I won't be back. The all inclusive is not really all inclusive but some inclusive. My favourite drink is Negroni and Capirinha and those were not on the All inclusive list, so you have to pay for them. All the cocktails I tried were tasteless and mostly water alcohol and sugar. All coktails taste the same. Not happy with the quality of drinks. Also the sailing, I was trying to sail 3 days in a row, wasn't available. from what I seen only weekend you can do sailing. If you book during week days as I did, you don't get all the services you need. Another anoying part is the first come first served process on everything. People getting up at 5 in the morning to get a chair by the pool. I'm not a morning person so I couldn't get a place near the pool. Same with the restorants. All \"fully booked\" from before

Overall a fantastic stay for my 30th birthday! The staff are all so helpful and attentive.

What we loved: Staff gave me a birthday cake surprise at dinner - thank you so much Sayid. The house keeping also decorated my bed with a happy birthday message which was so lovely. Staff were also friendly, attentive that they made sure I was comfortable as I was also pregnant. The dolce vita restaurant was delicious - thanks Kenny for serving us! Our room was comfortable, spacious and very quiet so we couldn’t hear other guests. The food at the buffet was delicious and I liked the variety. You can book a taxi from the hotel. The beach is lovely and clean and on a hot day it’s beautiful to relax there. Lots of activities at the hotel and excursions from hotel available. I also used the spa facilities and enjoyed a massage and facial.

What could be improved: East of the island can be very windy and we went during the winter season and the pool was cold so maybe the hotel could add some heating to the pool. At breakfast first few days there was decafe coffee but then none so for pregnant guests etc. please ensure decafe tea and coffee is available. Also sometimes at breakfast had to wait a long time before you get tea or coffee served. At checkout the porter said it would be few mins to come get our bags from the room (we called at 11:45am) but only came after 1 hour to with the bags which was stressful as taxi to the airport was waiting so have separate checkout & checkin porter!

The staff were very approachable and friendly and the ambience was nice. However food wise, much improvement needed in terms of the variety and 4* standards.
Property is a bit dated. Ambre Suite could do with much improvement, there's big space but not smartly laid out out. Overall I would rate it 7/10.

The Ambre delivered on many fronts and its reputation lies very squarely on its staff. We had excellent service throughout our stay , lots of choice for meals, lots of sun beds (although there was the rush to secure them pretty early and then disappear off to other areas leaving a lack of the more popular ones)
The biggest bug bear for us was the smokers around the pool. There is a dedicated smoking area just outside reception but most smokers lit up at their sun beds....cigarettes, pipes and even little thin cigars. It spoiled the holiday for us...we just couldnt get away from the smoke.
The hotel (while well run and with the beautiful hard working anazing people) was not luxury...it was old and tired in many places..we changed rooms on rhe 1st day due to issues.
I tripped outside the gym and fell cutting my knee which was caused by an uneven raised flagstone.
We loved the view and the weather even the rain....but it wasnt quite as amazing as it looks on photos and videos we saw before we came.
Many thank to the staff. They really are amazing.

Absolutely amazing stay .
The suite was amazing with 2 larges rooms and 1 large bathroom and 1 shower room which was great as we could stay all together mother Dad and 20 years old son . The restaurants are absolutely great and staff look after you in good manners . Food is fresh. I must say they have the best fruits to offer on daily basics. Mauritius food is the best and I will recommamd anyone to try . A special thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable. Thank you Veema Hotess & Ravi's from Indigo - Thank you Annick from Italian Restaurant - Thank you Shahil the beach boy bringing our drinks and Thank you Dheerej who helped me to book the beach restaurant when it was fully booked. We loved it so much we are planning to review our wedding vase in Mauritius for 2026 .

Great location, beach and pool.

All personell - regardless of catagory - from the Chefs of the main restaurant and the Beach restaurant to waitresses, beach boys and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful: top marks.
Beach is excellent with palm trees. As for swimming in the ocean, consider protective swimming shoes because of corals.
The pool is very good and well cleaned.
For a relaxing place, we would highly recommend it!

It is very humid and uncomfortable to eat in both restaurants which have no air conditioning. The rooms and facilities were very clean and the service was great. The rooms have not been renovated and looked old.

Paradise with limitations

The beach and the pool were absolutely stunning. However, for an all inclusive resort there are many limitations that honestly don’t make a lot of sense. It would be helpful if those “limitations” were listed in the room on checkin. Room service is an additional charge. The all inclusive activities have limited hours. It seems as if some of the limitations are for the ease of the staff instead of the ease of the guests. It is also difficult to get people to bring you anything on the beach. We were there for 2 days and honestly didn’t stay at the beach long because we had to keep going back and forth to the bar.

Overall no good trained staff—no variety at the buffet —bad service and not really good food in the Italian restaurant—.
Good greenfee rate for golf ile aux cerfs—but at check out they would charge us for 2 teetimes but we only played once!!!!!!

This was a wonderful rememberable trip with my sister. We have lots of great memories. We had tons of fun and literally sat back and relaxed
The weather was not too great but the Hotel and staff and scenery made up for that.
Thanks to Putee, Reza, Jimmy.... to many to mention.
We took a 5 Island trip with Appolon Mcleod and that was stunning.
Roti the Taxi driver for Ambre is very knowledgeable and he is a great tourguide
The Beach staf... always ready to serve some great local Rum. We made great friends
Will definately go back.

The property is quite spread out and there were lots of lounge chairs at the beach area. Water was quite calm although windy at this time of the year. Liked the fact that there were plates of food when we arrived at 1030 pm and a continental breakfast prepared when we had early departure.
Unfortunately, only a handful of staff were friendly. most were task oriented and did not even greet you when you went for meals. besides the main restaurant there is only one other restaurant for a la carte as part of all inclusive - where twice they forgot about our desserts and even after we brought it to their attention, it was not brought (at least in a timely manner and we left in exasperation).
If your room is in the 300-600 block, there is a long walk to get to your beach towels and there are no showers installed near that area for one to be able clean your feet as you come from the beach and so you are likely to trek the sand into your room. It almost seems that blocks 300 and above were built afterwards without any planning.

Beautiful place, very friendly staff. The best part maybe the opportunity to be transported out to Ile aux cerfs with golf and the private beach (included).
The only downside: almost all the sunbeds (absolutely all the best ones) at the hotell are occupied even before breakfast by people putting their towels on them. And they stay occupied all day, even if the people are not there. In other places we've stayed the hotel has been more restrictive about this and have removed towels from beds that have not been in use.
All in all a very nice place, and if we go back to Mauritius there is a good chance we'll return to Ambre 😊

NOT A REAL ALL INCLUSIVE!

The hotel is decent, and the staff very polite and friendly, and it's GREAT that there are no children allowed,...BUT that's where it ends! There is nothing around the hotel, no stores, no shops, nothing. So, unless you want to keep taking a taxi, you're pretty much stuck at the hotel. We were given a free upgrade in the room, but it was on the 3rd floor, and climbing stairs is NOT good for my knee, as there was no lift. Then, they put us in a room on the ground floor, but it was quite a ways away from the main building. Again, a lot of walking, not good for my knee. We were offered a closer room, but not until 3 days b4 we were to leave!
The food is so so ok, but VERY much lacking when they have a 'SPECIAL\" food night!
There are NO organized activities at all! True they offer paddle boats, windsurfing, etc., but NOTHING to get people involved with one another! And NOTHING AT NIGHT !
You can get anything to DRINK any time of the day,...BUT, in between meals? There is NOTHING to snack on ANYWHERE!
The taxi service from the hotel is a bit on the high side too, as well as the tours offered.
We have been to MANY other All Inclusives in Mexico and the Caribbean, and by far, this was the WORST!

Certainly not four star needs lots of maintenance and updating. Drinks were good but food hit and miss. Breakfast buffet ok but the a-la-carte Italian restaurant was woeful. Accessibility was lacking and getting a wheelchair around was difficult. Some staff were very helpful, especially the managers. Stray dogs were allowed to roam in the resort and feral birds in the restaurants. We saw rats in the restaurant and outside. Smokers had the best places around the pool etc. Very difficult to get a reasonable price taxi to anywhere.
The Coral bar was nice with good views.

The best part was that it was adults only and all inclusive with food and drinks. Certainly not four star level. Maintenance needed on the property, a complete update needed. Smokers had the best places around the pool etc and we were disgusted that stray dogs were allowed to roam in the resort and feral birds in the restaurants. We saw rats in the restaurant. Very lacking in provision for accessibility for wheelchair access. Security at the gate and reception staff did not communicate making it an ordeal for guests to access the resort.
On a good note some staff were very helpful and the drinks were well supplied.
The breakfast buffet Waa ok but the a-la-carte Italian restaurant was woeful. Impossible to get a decent cup of tea or coffee.

Great Views, Bad Food, Tired facilities

Staff was mostly nice and welcoming but often not well trained - took long time to get service in bar, buffet and reception. Finally when service was given it was hit and miss. Housekeeping was the best service we got, except for the mini fridge refills which happen late in the day and don't give enough water. We had to request extra water on a few occasions.

Room was small, smelled like mold and was very basic. Had mosquitos. Shower didn't have door and water leaked on the floor. Location of room was far from reception and main pool / bar/ food areas. When booking the room we didn't know it was that far, approx 3-4 minute walk. Information was not shared on the site when booking. Had to walk outside to get to those areas without shade/cover. So if it rained, which it did, you got rained on. They do provide an umbrella however but then you have to lug that around. If it was hot and humid (humidity of 90-100%) you got stuck walking in the sun. I'm pregnant and nearly fainted on my way back to the room one morning as it was too hot and I was dehydrated.

Overall facilities - nice pool area and beach. Buffet restaurant (part of All Inclusive) didn't have any cover from birds and they came in regularly to steal food from floor, tables, plates. We even saw them poop near the food once. Some areas were hotter than others and had poor air circulation. Not air conditioned.

Food - same staff/chefs in all restaurants. Quality is 4-6 out of 10. Bland & undercooked. Worm in Mango

My husband and I spent a week at the resort and would love to head back again! The amenities were great, the food was good the staff were really fantastic.

A special note to our housekeeper Maunick who was super friendly and accommodating even giving us a special treat the one day.

Our check in was quick and easy and we loved the watermelon sushi we received on arrival. We had an issue with our flights going there but the hotel staff was great at accommodating the last minute transfer changes and check in times.

We were also upgraded to an ocean view room with a balcony!

We booked the Courtyard room which isn't very nice as it's far away and facing another building. The garden view room was much better.

Hotel is in a nice location, stunning views over the ocean. Bedroom was nice, but didn't have a balcony, which was disappointing. Ample Sun Loungers at the poolside and on the beach, but not of great quality. Watersport facilities and Hotel Gym were very good. The all inclusive package was good, although the food in all the restaurants was average at best.

The hotel location was good ( 1 hour from the airport by car ), however you cannot really enjoy the beach in the front of the hotel because of the rocks and tides, you have to take a walk and you will find a great place to swim.
You have to wake up early in order to hold your place on the beach, they should find a solution for that.
The pool was nice and the service around the bars was not bad (may be with more staff ...).
You can see a dog walking next to you while taking your diner which might be annoying for some guests.
I did not like the terrace as it was small and when you sit the wall in front will hide the view. Also the seperation in the bathroom was not a good idea.

Wonderful relaxing beach holiday.

Ambre was always on my shortlist to visit. Finally got the opportunity to go and, WOW, I am highly impressed with what we got. The ALL INCLUSIVE plan works for us and at Ambre they understand the concept. From the desk staff, waiters and cleaning staff to the Management, they all went the extra mile to ensure our stay was something to remember. It is a huge facility with almost 300 rooms and 600 guests but my wife and I felt that we were treated with special individual care and attention. Ravi in the INDIGO restaurant even prepared my wife a special ginger tea at breakfast when she came down with the flu. Vanessa at reception made sure we did not have to wait for our room because we arrived early and we checked into our room 2 hours earlier than normal check-in time. On our departure both me and my wife got a hug from her to bid us a safe journey back home - as you expect from family after a visit. Booking through Expedia was well organized and the customer relations dept contacted us a week prior to arrival to verify our arrival time. Special requests was no problem to them and we got, what I consider, one of the best rooms (238). Thank you for an excellent holiday.

Fantastic hotel and amazing holiday.

This is a beautiful hotel on what must be the best beach on the island. We stayed in the suite and can only recommend this as a room choice - it was totally worth the extra cost. Pool is beautiful and beach restaurant was the stand out for meals. We loved every minute of it and can definately recommend this hotel.

Staff is very friendly, maybe not always as fast as you might hope but hey we are on holiday. Watersport and other sports (and lessons) are free of charge and there is entertainment every evening.

Ambre Resort lived up to its publicity. The pool and beach are clean and attractive. The food was outstanding. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We celebrated a special wedding anniversary and were treated to sparkling wine and canapes in our room, followed by a specially created four course seafood dinner in a romantic setting on the beach. There was even a delicious chocolate cake to celebrate. Our departing flight was delayed by several hours and the staff arranged for us to extend our checkout time. We had a very happy relaxing break.

The Ambre is great value for money and delivers well on the All-Inclusive concept. The room, facilities and food were very good and pleasing. It may not always be a great culinary experience but for couples on a budget, you can not go wrong.
More waiters would make it easier to get refreshments while on the beach or in the bar area.
Well worth it at the price!!

Amazing hotel to have a relaxing vacation

I had an amazing time. The hotel has a private beautiful beach. The restaurants and bar have great selection of beverages and food for everyone's taste and with an All inclusive offer you would not need anything extra. A lot of additional things are offered like sports activities (volleyball, fitness, yoga, kayaking, sailing) and workshops like ice sculpting workshop. Spa is amazing and I spent every day there. The hotel has many visitors but you do not have a feeling like it is overcrowded or busy. It is perfect for an intimate, relaxing and worry-free vacation. Most guests are couples but for me who was alone, I did not see that as a problem and I had a great time. Overall, very nice hotel with great staff and facilities. I will definitely recommend it and return.

A chic couples' beach resort.

Located on a prime spot of Indian Ocean beach.
The all-inclusive feature was interesting.
Some of the staff were sullen & decidedly NOT eager to please, especially Kirty. She kept me waiting 2hrs to check in. She refused to let me use the lobby wifi while waiting. Kirty tried to downgrade my superior room booking to standard.
The other guests were not friendly nor respectful to what appeared to be the only lone male @the Ambre.
I had requested a top floor, but instead got the bottom floor.
The wifi didn't work in my room; so I was compelled to go online in the open air lobby, full of snooty married couples.

First impressions of the hotel was very good. Generally, hotel staff e.g. reception, dining, facilities, etc very pleasant and helpful. Bar staff not as attentive as you would expect from this standard of hotel. Decided not to order cocktails after a few days as an order for the same drink rarely was made to the same standard and when this was raised with the bar staff we were advised that this is just the way it is!

Keep in mind this hotel is at least 45 mins away from the airport & taxi's are pretty pricey in Mauritius. Having said that it is located on the most beautiful beach in MR so I guess it is worth the drive if you plan on staying for a few days. Cons: Neighbourhood surrounding the hotel is not at all great so make sure to take all-inclusive since you will be spending all your time within the resort. Hotel exchange rates & taxi also very expensive compared to town & since you are pretty much stuck inside it's not a nice situation. Lastly, even though I picked the cheapest room it was very very small (consider European standards) & they made a big fuss about a late checkout for a couple of hours at a time when the place was not even half full. Most places upgrade automatically to a larger room if available as this was not the size of any resort we have stayed at. Also, the room was very far from the center of all activities & I thought they could have been more thoughtful. Pros: Service was spectacular & all the guests were treated well in all the areas. The three restaurant's staff was amazing, while the bar service at the beach & pool were pretty nice. Also, the best part is that they keep organising activities (football, beach volleyball, volley tennis) everyday so it keeps the living fun at all times. All in all a good stay with no kids running around to disturb your peace of mind...lol, but I would definitely look around at other resorts if I was to visit again.

Amazing relaxing holiday !

We were greeted immediately with drinks, checked in, and shown to our rooms all in about half an hour by a lovely informative lady. Our room - a superior - was really big and clean and modern with sea views - basically across a path from the beach! The whole resort is beautifully landscaped and kept very well. The pool area is gorgeous with plenty of loungers, giant bean bags and couches - we never had a problem getting a lounger. The pool is an infinity pool that overlooks the private beach and joins onto the Coral Bar.
Their is a large area of the ocean sectioned off for bathers so its safe to swim, as there is a selection of water sports available for free! Also there is a boat that takes you out snorkelling which is great. You can snorkel and see some great sea life on the sectioned off area aswell.
The food was excellent overall with a great choice. There is such a variety you could have something different every day for at least a week easily. The pastries are delish and also they make you eggs to order. The curries and Roties at the Indigo are amazing. The coral bar has entertainment every night and the cocktails are yum - try planters punch. Albert makes a great Mojito!
My husband stayed here for a week, we wanted a totally relaxing holiday and that is what we got! No need to leave the resort and the weather was amazing a few rain showers here and there but no problem. We didn't think it was too windy - its a welcome relief when its too hot!

very impressive hotel, service, food and location

I have never felt it appropriate to write a review before but the Ambre hotel excelled in staff service, location, food and facilities. As a retreat from work-life this was exceptional. The beach is special, the mostly free watersports (sailing, kayaks, snorkelling etc) keep you occupied when you get restless and the wider trips around the island worked well with the local partner company Summertime. Food and drink options of Creole, Indian, Italian and French, both al le carte and buffet in the 3 restaurants offered exception dining choices. No flaws on our visit.

Great staff and good value for money

Having stayed at the 5 star Long Beach nearby during the same trip and Dinarobin (SW Mauritius) last year we were pleasantly surprised by Ambre. Although Dinarobin is still a step above we thought Ambre Hotel was better than Long Beach - particularly the buffets for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Staff were also more attentive and friendly. There is a large contingent of Brits at this hotel due it being a Thompsons Holiday Hotel but this wasnt a problem. Another plus for this hotel is that it seemed to be adults only so it was easy to relax.

Rude, rude, rude!

The staff was quite rude, not everyone but especially the boathouse staff. On my birthday, I was staying alone at this hotel, hoping to relax after a stressful time. I went to go on the snorkeling tour and it was booked. I instead asked to go on the glass bottom boat trip, they told me the boat was coming and I would need to be back asap. I timed it, I was back in the exact same spot in under four minutes and they had already sent the boat away. I wanted to cry and they were extremely rude and everyone started laughing at me. I will NEVER go back to this hotel again and in fact I think I won't go back to Mauritius at all again.

I wanted to like this resort. I even lowered my expectations and told myself it might be an off week for the resort and staff. Below are reasons why this resort is what I consider less the medicore. The only redeeming quality is the on-site Italian restaurant, Dolce Vita. We (my husband and I) weren't given the option of upgrading from \"all inclusive\" to \"premium all inclusive\". In fact, we didn't know about the premium option until after we settled into our room.

- Our room was situated next to another room that was undergoing construction. At one point, we heard banging noises starting at 9am.
- It took 25 minutes for me to get a drink after reminding the waitress twice about my order. Overall, the customer service was lacking.
- The wifi may be free but it is only available in the lobby and the signal is spotty. You have to be a premium all-inclusive guest to have wifi access all around the resort.
- Our room was muggy and questionable. The design of the shower allowed water to be splashed and leaked all over the bathroom floor. The bed was uncomfortable; probably one of the worst I've slept on in a resort.
-Since it was our honeymoon, we booked a couples massage. They gave us didn't bother asking us what type we wanted or bothered to listen when we tried to tell them otherwise. Here's a suggestion for the spa people: nobody wants their whole head and face soaking in thick oil.

Spacious clean room, comfortable bed but room and bathroom needs updating, outstanding service throughout our stay. Water sports to suit everyone, unrivalled golf course experience -all for free. The food and drinks where good quality - you can dine on the beach, Italian and buffet restaurants. A beach to die for. Drinks and food served on all 700 metres beach until 6pm. Varied good entertainment, lazy or active holiday, adult only - something for everyone. We arrived home cocktailed out!

My boyfriend I had a great relaxing holiday here. Beautiful location. Food excellent. We were all inclusive. Definitely excellent value. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and well equipped. We had a sea view which was very pleasant to wake up to. We had dinner at the A la carte restaurant on the beach which is a must. Although you do have to book for this one. Again food outstanding. There is a very good variety of drinks and cocktails on the all inclusive menu. A little tip, If you want to get a sunbed with shade on the beach it's best you get up early and reserve one for yourself as by 0900 they are all taken. But there are plenty of places by the pool.

We had a comfortable stay at the Ambre. Our room on the third floor was not opulent by any standards, but very suitable for people who wish to spend most of the time exploring the island and being on the beach. The Buffet restaurant had an excellent and varied menu that appealed to a wide assortment of tastes. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

As far as South African hotels go the more realistic rating is between three and three and a half stars. Toiletries were not replenished daily. Toilet is separate from the bathroom and is very small. While generally clean, the room is not as clean as would be expected of a hotel and certainly a four star. The doors and door handles we're were dirty. The power point at the bedside table did not work for anything other than lamp shade. The staff were very helpful, the manager on duty on the night of our arrival went to great pains to ensure that I obtained an adaptor so that I could urgently use my laptop. The the only serious complaint I have is that it takes no less than 45 mins to check and have a room allocated. This was a great irritation after a flight. I was surprised at how tolerant guests were despite them having traveled from the Far East and China. The location was excellent. For this reason and the friendly staff I will return.

Brilliant hotel with wonderful beach

We stayed 4 nights in sea view room. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed.
The hotel is located straight on the beach, and beach is much better than in surrounding hotels. We booked half board hence didn’t go out from the hotel during our stay.
The hotel staff is VERY friendly. You always see the smile on the personnel faces.
Rooms are cleaned few times a day. The hotel has free sport activities and spa.
I definitely recommend this hotel for romantic stay.

However, no bus stops are around, and no useful information provided beforehand that guests indeed need a car to go around. Every time we wanted to use the shower, we needed to run water for more than 5-10 minutes to get hot water!

Relaxing Holiday

We stayed at Ambre for 2 nights. After much research I selected to end our Mauritius trip at Ambre, and it was an excellent decision. The hotel is clean and food was excellent. There was such a variety of food to cater for everyone’s taste and I can now understand why other people stayed at Ambre had raved about the food. Food is generally expensive in Mauritius so make sure you take a half board at least. It is close to Ile Aux Cerf where you can do your parasailing and undersea walk. The hotel next to Ambre also offer these. Thank you Ambre and your staff for an excellent stay. The spa , the steam room and sauna was also very nice.
I will definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday.

Great Hotel but needs improvements in service

First of all I would like to say we had a great time staying in the hotel for 3 nights but I honestly think some improvements need to me made for 4 star status. Here is my comprehensive review. Rooms - Clean. We booked a superior room but it is smaller than what I expected and layout was different than that shown on their websites. We had a great Ocean view though. I was surprised to find no guest bath robes and shower tub!! Room mini bar refrigerator didn't work. Beach and Pool - Great Pool and clean beach; expect some sea weed areas. I think they should clean the sea weed twice a day at least. Hotel Staff and Service - Friendly staff but service during dinner and on the beach is very slow in all the restaurents. I think they are understaffed. We have to literally wait for an hour just to sign the check and a half an hour to give drink order. Impressed with the breakfast service though, Food and Cocktails - Food is great. Some popular cocktails like margaritas are not included in all inclusive package. One really annoying thing I want to point is the process to get the beach towels. Believe it or not I have to literally walk a mile to figure out and to get the beach towels!! Finally, things I liked most - Beach, Pool, the welcome drink, onsite medical facilities, kayak availability and friendly staff.

A very nice resort for relaxing and lazy days

Very happy with 10 days at Ambre before Christmas. Especially happy with the buffet restaurant - the quality and variations were superb. The Indian chefs really impressed us. Very nice beach with good water sports inclusive for all guests. The Spa also offered very good service and value for money. Not to loud or intrusive nightlife if you want to be quiet.

Herrliche Lage und wenn wir etwas außerhalb unternommen haben, war alles auf der Insel prima per Mietwagen oder Tagestaxis erreichbar.
Fast durchgehend sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.
Kleinere technische Probleme im Zimmer (für eine schnelle Lösung am besten direkt zur Rezeption gehen), aber zu verschmerzen.
Von unserem Deluxe Seaview Zimmer mit Balkon (Nr. 415) hatte man einen prima Blick auf die Palmen und das nur ca. 50 m entfernte Meer. Das Essensangebot im Buffet- und den a la Carte-Restaurants war abwechslungsreich, einige nette Angebote für Aktivitäten am und auf dem Wasser, die Wellnessbehandlungen sehr gut und der gesamte Aufenthalt sehr entspannend.
Kein Super-Luxus, aber eine ganz klare Empfehlung unsererseits!

Wij hebben onwijs genoten van ons verblijf hier. Het personeel is allemaal even vriendelijk, de stranden en de zee zijn waanzinnig. Bedjes bij het zwembad en strand zijn top. Eten is ook erg goed, zowel ontbijt als diner. Wij hadden halfpension en de drankjes zijn niet goedkoop, maar dit hadden we wel verwacht.

De kamer was prima. Schoon, alles wat je nodig had, maar niet overdreven luxe.

De spa was ook goed. Lekkere massage gehad, wederom wel weer prijzig, maar prima.

Kortom, heel fijn verblijf gehad!

Das Meer war bezaubernd schön, vor allem hat mir die Breite vom Strand und Zugang gefallen. In den meisten andere Hotels nebenan gibt es eher einen schmalen Zugang zum Meer.
Das Restaurant Dolce Vita war sehr gut.
Der Service und das Personal waren unglaublich freundlich.
