The whole establishment just looked a bit tired. Loo seat in bathroom broken, curtain had a ripe in it…just leaves you with “we don’t really care”…

Website says “EV charging” but only 4 Tesla chargers onsite and “parking-a fee may apply” - it does, £5/ night, which was a bit rich when you’re paying between £65-£75/night…would I go back…mmm, might try somewhere else, as there’s a lot of choice.

There are no plug sockets near the bed. I needed to plug in my breathing equipment that I wear whilst sleeping. I spoke to Ryan on the desk who was very helpful and confirmed that all the rooms were the same. He called the hotel nearby to see if they could help find a solution. The guy on reception and Carla suggested we come over and look at the rooms to see if my lead was long enough as they did not have any plugs near the bed either. For some ridiculous reason they were removed from both hotels w while ago. Carla showed us the room and suggested that we move the bed nearer to plug socket on the other side of the room which we did. Carla, Ryan and the other gentleman on (sorry I forgot your name)reception were very helpful in finding a solution to my problem. They were professional helpful and went out of their way and I can't thank them enough. However moving furniture around the room to access a plug is not acceptable in 2026.

We stayed here both the night before and after our flights from Stansted. It was just what was required - clean, warm and quiet. We had a nice meal in a local pub about 20 mins walk away called The Nags Head which was very nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. The car parking was as expected £5 per night and we parked right outside (1 min walk). Super quick and easy to drive to the airport accross J8 - took about 6 mins. We would definitely stay here again before an early flight.

Reception excellent with a very helpful lady that was bright and cooperative.
Room a little Spartan but had everything needed bar a fridge. Pg tips tea and proper milk sachets not grisly creamer powder.
The £5 parking fee came as a surprise, but otherwise nothing not to like.

Booked to stay for 2 nights. Receptionist was the rudest person ive ever encountered upon arrival. Fair play to the gentleman on reception the next day. Was polite and helpful but unfortunately the problems was already mounting.
Not only on arrival was the receptionist extremely rude. Then we went into our room, the sheets were stained with what looked like urine. Went back to reception for the same rude woman to tell me i was lying and was refusing for 10 mins for an alternative duvet /duvet cover. Had no TV remote, asked the receptionist again when went to speak regarding sheets. She said shed bring a remote. Didnt get one, got one the next day when spoke with the polite gentleman. Overall a truly awful stay.

Room quality was same as usual - good, and bed comfortable.
I was woken at 2330 by someone trying to gain access to my room whilst I was asleep. The door mechanism was tried multiple times (I’ve been there, too!) before the person went away, presumably back to the desk. This can happen to anyone.
However, they came back and the card had been re-coded, so they opened my door, though luckily I had hastily dressed and put the security chain across on the inside. This is what I take issue with - I was pretty annoyed that the desk had apparently recoded the card with disregard for the room occupancy! It was a family room, with inter-access door to the next room, so just suppose that a family had taken both rooms and installed their children in that room…
When I took this up with the desk early the next morning, the receptionist simply said that they suffered an IT outage. No further explanation and just a simple “sorry, everything went down.”
They didn’t acknowledge my point of view at all and it concerns me that protocols weren’t followed properly (surely??)

I have stayed in cleaner rooms. There were dead insects along the skirting board and marks in the bathroom walls and shower. Seemed to be no insulation between floors as the elephant upstairs was thumping around both nights, on and off all night, both nights. We eventually gave up on sleeping and checked out very early and went home to our own beds. Probably won't be staying there again. On a good note staff were wounderfull and the reception area looked lovely.

I booked this hotel prior to flying from Stansted because hotel website says there is a shuttle bus...This is incorrect I was told at Stansted that there is no shuttle and that there are no local buses on Sundays. I had to get an Uber which cost £31 ! The person on reception was helpful and informed that we could use the local bus the following day and got us times. He also gave directions. 5 stars for reception staff, but the hotel website needs to be updated !

Booked in advance so good value. Plenty of free parking; registration plate is required with check-in. The man on reception was efficient and friendly. Hallway to room was clean and smelt fresh. Room had desk, two chairs, storage/hanging space, TV, was clean, neat and tidy with comfortable beds. A kettle with coffee tea facilities were provided. Shower was all good but the loose toilet roll holder was annoying. It’s in services so some food/drink facilities available. Less than 10 minute drive to Stansted airport - I would use again :)

Convenient stay before early morning flight

We arrived late evening and were departing early am to catch a flight. Mohammed was prompt in checking us in (and out) and was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect; clean and cosy for me and my two grown up kids to share. Short transfer by uber to the airport to ensure we got our early flight. All in all a pleasant experience.

The days inn itself was fine for our stay before a flight from Stansted. The staff were friendly and the room fine. Sadly, there are very unsafe manhole covers on the walkway running from the hotel to the services (uneven and with a deep dip in the adjoining path), the path is badly lit and even though I was watching my steps, it was pitch black and I fell over and badly twisted by arm and ankle, as were as grazing up my arms and legs. I have reported the incident to the receptionist, so I'm hoping the management look into it before someone badly injures themselves.

Disappointing Stay – Noisy, Uncomfortable, and Inc

I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately, the experience was far from relaxing. The room faced a busy street and a car park, which made it extremely noisy throughout the day and night. To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning, so keeping the windows closed wasn’t an option — the heat was unbearable.

Another major inconvenience was breakfast. Although it was included in the booking, guests were required to walk to a different hotel to have it. This was not communicated clearly in advance and felt like a hassle, especially in the morning.

Overall, the lack of basic comfort and poor planning made the stay disappointing.

It’s very basic and poor, it’s noisy the sink had an issue it is cheap and near the airport but that is about all it has going for it. They could have done something to reduce noisy doors. It also has no lift.

I stayed here because I read there was a shuttle to the airport. Instead on checkin I was told there is no shuttle and it was supposed to be updated already. Instead I had to pay another £25 to get an Uber to the airport. This was terribly inconvenient because we were traveling with two kids with car seats. So we had to install the car seats again to fit into the uber. Then repack it at the airport. Uber driver was great but not having the shuttle was disappointing. Again there is NO SHUTTLE. Just a bus which didn’t seem reliable to the airport and the trip is at least 30 minutes. Otherwise room was your average budget hotel in UK. US budget hotels are so much better. So having American names UK budget hotels mean nothing.

Cot was provided but with no mattress

We had requested a cot for out toddler, upon arrival the cot had no base or mattress, just a folded towel to \"cover\" the frame of the cot. This was not at all suitable for anyone to sleep in. We complained to the reception and she managed to find another cot which did have a base. This was better however there was no mattress still.

The people that worked at this property were exceptionally kind and helpful. The property itself was grubby and the surroundings were dirty and trashy, but safe. I guess I got what I paid for because it was very inexpensive, but I think I was expecting a bit better upkeep in a chain that I am familiar with.

It was a standard Days Inn. No air conditioning, no fans available, it was a very hot weekend. Room on the small side. It was an accessible room but we found the lowered bath with shower over very difficult to use. Shower not clearly labelled regarding temperature etc.
Staff were pleasant and helpful when i asked them anything.
EV chargers only forTesla cars. I had to use the ones at the service station. Inconvenient for a disabled customer.

The hotel was fine for a short overnight stay. The lady on reception came across as a bit unfriendly at check-in. We had to go back to reception to order towels which had not been left in the room and to report a broken item which we did not want to get the blame fore at a later stage. I would use again in the future.

For the price, the hotel room itself was fine. Comfortable bed, clean and a hot shower. However calling itself an airport hotel with no shuttle to the airport is quite unfortunate. If you have an early morning flight, you can either book an expensive taxi, take the bus that only runs once an hour or take a chance on an uber showing up. Luckily our uber did show but it was cancelled several times that morning which caused added stress. I would not recommend if you’re planning to head to the airport early morning.
