Excellent location and great value. Rooms are small with basic furnishings but beds were good quality and everything was clean and working. The bathroom was tiny and could do with more hooks/shelves but there was plenty hot water and fresh towels. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room and this had to be bought if you wanted a cuppa out with breakfast hours. Breakfast had a hot and cold buffet which had a good choice. We went half board because the extra cost was so minimal - worth it If you’re on a budget but not if you’re fussy. We stayed in Horitzo but had to cross to Sol for meals. Unlike other reviewers ours was served in the main dining room but this could be because the downstairs dining room appeared to be in use for a karate convention. We used the airport transfer bus which took two hours and many stops. It drops you on the main road and Horitzo is a 2 minute walk but take directions as the driver gives you none.

Fabulous location, especially if you had a balcony overlooking the beach, like me. I only had the breakfast which i paid for, it was 8 euros and well worth it. The bedrooms and facilities were very clean and the beds were very comfortable, the best sleep I have had in years. I will definitely be booking again.

Do not stay at this hotel! One of the rooms issued to our party had bed bugs. This wasn't spotted until the next morning and the individual was covered in bites. When it was brought to the attention of the manager she was aggressive, unsympathetic and said that we had picked them up at the airport. Another room was provided but no apology.

This hotel is right on the beach, which means that you can easily go back in to use toilets and showers, which I found really useful. Unfortunately the pictures on this ads are mostly for the sister establishment, JS Picafort. JS Horitzo in fact is much smaller. When I arrived there was sand on the floor and one of my towels had stains, which is my main issue with this property. Other than that, my room was quite small, didn't have privacy curtains, which was a problem as the balcony was about 3m away from the next building. While getting changed I had to drew the blackout curtains to avoid giving a show.
Most of the facilities are also in the other hotel. Breakfast is served in the hotel next door. The pool is a couple of streets away. I don't know where the spa is as I couldn't find it. All of this is not a big issue, but I feel the ad should make it clearer. Overall a pleasant stay, aside for the cleanness, which got sorted after the first day.

Booked into JS Horitzo but was given a room in its sister hotel JS Can Picafort, just across the street. Hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and efficient. The location is excellent, hotel is right on the beach. Downsides: I was half board but the food wasn't great and the toiletries, in my room weren't replenished at all during my stay.

The bed was good, the A/C was good, the view was not great, but other rooms I could tell had a great view! The food was sometimes delicious and sometimes not so great. The shower was very small. The beach was super super close and beautiful! The Can Picafort area is amazing! I enjoy that beach for sure! I would say that it was quite easy to hear all the noise of the other rooms.

Good value for money

Good value for money. Ideal location and excellent customer service. Wasn’t expecting much for the breakfast so was pleasantly surprised by all the choice and quality. The only downside was that the pool is a short walk away. Therefore we didn’t use it.

Cons: the room is very small, not like in the photo. The food was really disappointing: too salty mostly of the time, straight from the can onto your plate. You could feel the poor quality of the ingredients.

The room was small but ok, the balcony door wouldn't lock and the electric card kept on catching on the main door.

Good stay for money spent

This hotel is very well used, almost everything inside bathroom is about to fall apart. However, hotel staff makes everything possible to make you happy. Breakfast is pretty good. This location is loved by German tourists, therefore, do not expect the hotel staff to be super fluent in English. Do not get stuck at the beach, although it is very beautiful, as soon as you arrived make arrangements to visit Dragon caves and other amazing places near by (ask the receptionist). Public transportation is convenient and cheap, although bus service from Can Picafort stops around 8pm. On the roof of the hotel there is solarium - really nice view from there!

Shower and food are this hotel's weakness,,,,

The hotel is excellently located in Can Picaforte by the beach. Beach itself is beautiful, so it is a real treat to just go down the hotel and by the the beach. The hotel room itself is ok (you get what you pay for), and the staff are also good. However, there is limited and intermittent hot water in the shower, thereby making showertime a dreadful experience. Also, I appreciate, you get what you pay for, but certainly, there is no reason why a reasonably acceptable food would not be served. For breakfast, coffee is terrible, bread is bad, suasages taste like they are from cheap canned suasages... and for dinner, I survived with salad and a small slice of fish. Everthing else served is not acceptable. Also, drinks is not included, but guests are not allowed to bring their own drinks. Guests have to pay for it (even for water).

Great location for a short break

The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. Although the hotel is looking rather tired, its sister hotel is just across the road where you go to reception, breakfast etc. The pool is also away from the hotel but is worth the walk because it is so quiet and never over crowded. The rooms are adequate and cleaned every day. My only complaint was that the balcony was very small.

Fawlty Towers with good location!

Nice stay in Ca`n Picafort! JS Horitzo is a okay hotel. First we thought we had arrived Fawlty Towers. The reception was a case of its own. However they gave us a room that was nice. Thet fridge mentioned in the hotels own following papers is just balony. And... there is a locker in the room whith drawers... don`t \"open\" it! It`s a 3.bed!!!! Cleaning is very good. Location very good. Balconies a little to small. AC-system not to good. Germans all over the place, but they are everywhere. Most of the Spanish took us for Germans and spoke to us in German. If you`re not offended by this, this is a really nice place. Recomend also Horitzo Bar, cheap and clean!

We must say that the hotel staff were among the best we have ever had. If you made a request it was taken care of with a smile and they took care to fill the request with a bit more than you exspected. The breakfast was very good and as much as you wanted to eat. Tea time menu was very good most days and it's all you can eat from soup to sweets. Side trips were arranged by the hotel reception with good advice and tips. Drinks are very reasonably priced.

avoid august too many people... otherwise aboustley beautiful place

Receptionist-they were multilingual which was awesome, who were very helpful, nice people. There was a travel agent in the hotel next to the front desk.
Distance-far away from airport 75 euro taxi. I recommend renting a car
Timing- august is high tourist season especially for the Germans, my husband and I were unaware that august is the main tourist month for Europe.
Room- extremely small! The bed was hard; we slept more on the beach then in our room. The ac worked okay. The shower was tiny, difficult to take a shower without water getting everywhere.
Half board (food)-terrible food (all German), we expected Spanish food. The hotel caters to the Germans taste in food during their month of travel month of travel! Food not common to American cuisine!
Location- what made all this worthwhile was the beach being right outside the hotel. Lots of little shops, restaurants, and grocery stores around the hotel.

Posizione fantastica.

Ho avuto la fortuna di ricevere la camera 320 con una vista spettacolare sul mare. Solo questo vale il viaggio. Camera ordinata e confortevole. L'immobile è bisogno di una riqualificazione totale e profonda . Comunque la posizione è la sua forza.

Unfreundliches Personal, kamen spät Abends an das unser Flug annulliert wurde.
Hatten ein Zimmer für 3 Personen gebucht, jedoch mussten wir in einem Bett schlafen da nichts anderes mehr frei war.
Gab auch keine Erstattung oder zumindest Verständigung, des Weiteren war das Zimmer auch nicht sauber...

Das Zimmer war recht klein. Die Klimaanlage war unterdimensioniert. Die Lage ist super. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Parkplätze gibt es leider nicht. Auch die Zufahrt zum Haupteingang ist verboten.

Die Lage des Hotels befindet sich gleich an der Promenade, 1 Minute bis zum Strand. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, besonders das Badezimmer mit der kleinen Dusche. Die Möbel sind auch älter, allerdings wurde täglich geputzt und unser Blick zum Meer vom Balkon hat entschädigt.

Wir hatten für diesen Preis eigentlich nicht viel erwartet, wurden dann aber sehr überrascht.
Hatten trotz niedrigem Preis ein Zimmer mit Meerblick erhalten. Wurden beim Check-in herzlich und mit einem Glas Sekt begrüßt.

La struttura in se’ è un po’ vecchiotta e andrebbe restaurato. In generale comunque accettabile viste le 3 stelle e il prezzo pagato. Unica pecca la qualità del buffet. Hotelpersonal ist superfreundlich.
Frühstück war in Ordnung.
Von unserem Balkon aus waren leider links, rechts, vor, ober und unter uns nur Balkone von anderen Zimmern zu sehen.

Hôtel charmant mais vieillot

Petit hôtel ancien, qui fonctionne avec celui d’en face, plus moderne. À notre arrivée, nous avons été placés dans une chambre minuscule avec un balcon minuscule donnant sur le bâtiment d’en face, à 2 où 3 mètres de distance seulement !!! Notre premier ressenti a été horrible, avec l'impression de vivre chez et avec le voisin d’en face...
Heureusement, la nuit suivante et à notre demande, une autre chambre plus correcte nous a été attribuée sans supplément. Le rapport qualité / prix de la chambre n’est cependant pas satisfaisant.
Le restaurant est en sous-sol, ce qui est un peu décevant. En revanche, la nourriture en demi pension est correcte.
Il n’y a pas de parking, la seule possibilité de stationnement se trouve dans les rues adjacentes.
Le point positif et incontestable, la situation de l’hôtel, idéale, les pieds dans l’eau.

hôtel style HLM, très vieillissant!

Un mal être s'installe dès l'arrivée dans l'hôtel, étouffement, décoration couvre lit à fleur, vieux tapis qui sent mauvais au pied du lit , le lavabo collé au wc, une seule envie se sauver en courant! Vue sur la rue, minuscule balcon, la réception n'est pas dans cet endroit affreux mais dans l'hôtel d'en face. Les photos correspondent à l'hôtel d'en face, il y a tromperie sur les prestations. La piscine est séparée de l’hôtel et au bout d'une autre rue, les petits déjeuners dans l'hôtel d'a coté. Quand aux repas, horreur, pas de personnel, pas de cuisiniers devant vous, d'immenses plateaux qui arrivent d'une autre pièce, surgelés, très bas de gamme. Nous avons quitté l'hôtel le lendemain matin!

Bedste beliggenhed....!! Værelset var ok, havde bestilt til 3 personer så der var kun plads til senge i værelset, altanen var også lidt svær at sidde 3 på. Der var rent og rengøring hver dag. Maden var vi ikke særlig vilde med, meget sødt og fedt. ( men også meget billigt - bestilt hjemmefra)
Man kunne ikke betalte med kort på hotellets bar- synes jeg var meget underligt på så stort et hotel.

De visita por los hoteles de la cadena

Se debe acudir a la recepción, restaurante y piscina de otros hoteles de la cadena (cercanos eso sí). A dormir, sólo a dormir, al Horitzó...8-(
Habitación pequeña, antígua, sin nevera, y aseo con ducha minúsculo. Tiene aire acondicionado pero funciona solo de 12 a 00 horas.
Como dicen en otros comentarios, el agua se sale de la pequeña ducha cuando se utiliza, dejando el suelo del aseo encharcado.
La cama doble son dos camas de 90cm juntas, por lo que es fácil caerse entre las dos durante la noche.
Los desayunos y cenas (en el hotel Can Picafort), tipo buffet. Normales, bien preparados y variados pero sin alardes.
Las vistas desde la terracita de la habitación perfectas, primera línea de playa con el mar en todo su esplendor. Nada que objetar.
Bien situado, prácticamente en el centro del paseo de la playa de Can Picafort.
