Lovely stay in a beautiful area with a beautiful city view. Staff was very kind, specifically the bartender with red hair, I didn't catch her name, but she was fantastic.
I only give 4 stars because the room itself was clearly not maintained well. The coffee pot when we arrived did not work (which they did offer to fix), the door on the dresser covering the fridge was loose so when you would open it to access the fridge, it would drop down a bit and you’d have to lift it to to close it back. There was also some kind water damage on the cover for the ac unit and the bulb for the lamp on the desk was literally dangling down.
Overall we loved the location, views, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is gorgeous from an architectural perspective. I just wish that they maintained the rooms a bit more.

Park Vista was amazing, it is tucked away in the mountain which gives you the quiet time away from the main roads while still being on the trolley route. You get a free cookie when you check in, the staff is super helpful, rooms are clean, and we even saw a bear roaming the parking lot! We loved it here especially with it being on the free trolley route which means you don’t have to pay for parking when going downtown. I will definitely be staying here again.

As soon as I checked in they made me pay $100 for “incidentals.” Said it would be refunded after my stay. On top of that they charge $18 a day to park your car in the parking lot of the place you pay almost $300 a night to stay in. Rip off. Place is also old and dingy. They advertise an adult pool but there isn’t one. They also make you buy their drinks at the pool at rip off prices. $10 for a can of beer? Way better places in Gatlinburg to stay that are cheaper, and don’t take $100 of your spending money upon arrival.

The room was always cleaned and beds made every day when we came back to our room. The restaurant was great in the morning with the breakfast bar or continental breakfast not so much if ordering in the evening. They needed a few more options. Also a lot of the staff couldn’t understand English or speak it very well. Overall it was a great stay. Would definitely stay there again.

There’s not enough good things to say about The Park Vista! Very clean and elegant with the most amazing views of the mountains and strip. We stayed in the suite with double bunk beds. The kids absolutely loved that they had their own room and bathroom and so did we! Lol Both rooms were VERY spacious. Balcony was used quite a bit to do some bear watching in the parking lot. There is also a free trolley that picks up and drops off right at the front with multiple stops along the strip you can hop on and off. Pool area was extremely clean and had a little pizza/snack shop attached. 3 pool areas (kiddie pool, big kid pool, younger kid pool, and a hottub. Kids had a blast on the rainy night in there. Will definitely recommend to everyone and will absolutely be staying there again.

Had hairs and food in both beds. A/c didn't cool at all was told by others that was staying had some issues. Breakfast is over 20 dollars a person and not good at all. Have to pay to park your car at this place even if you have a room it's 18 a night. Will not ever stay here again. For what you pay a night parking should be free and the Breakfast.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Park Vista! Our room was perfect for our family, with two separate bedrooms—one with a king bed and the other with rustic bunk beds that my kids thought were so much fun. The bunk room even had its own half bath, while the master bedroom had a full bathroom.

The view of the Smoky Mountains was absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself is gorgeous inside, with an open atrium where you can look up and see all the floors. The glass elevators were a favorite feature—they made the ride up to our room feel extra special.

The pool area was amazing! The water slides were so much fun, and I loved that none of the pool areas were too deep for my 4-year-old. There was also a hot tub and a pizza place nearby, making it easy to spend hours enjoying the pool.

The grounds were beautiful to walk around, with plenty of great spots for photos. Everything was clean, family-friendly, and well-maintained.

We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

The hotel was beautiful. The hotel is up a steep incline so make sure you have good tires. Don't get put on the top floor, 15th floor, in the summer it is really hot. Bathroom is very small. Where the toilet and shower are, you have to squeeze in by the toilet to close the door. All in all it was a really nice place and I would stay there again just on a lower floor lol.

This is a great hotel. Been staying there since it was opened in the 70s. Was glad to see it was refurbished years ago. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Climate control worked well. Ample parking. Staff was very attentive. Good location away from the bustle of downtown Gatlinburg but right on the free trolley stop.

On checking in the room was very tired and dated. The balcony was unusable with no furniture and very small. Our room allocated was opposite the noisy lift. Even though we were staying at the hotel there is an unexpected $18 per day parking charge. It was the worst DoubleTree hotel I've ever seen. That bad we didn't stay and immediately checked out (never done this before). Interestingly the staff didn't seemed surprised we were not staying. Rubbish

The property sits upon a mountain where you can see all of downtown Gatlinburg. The rooms are clean. The service is good. They have a delicious breakfast buffet and they have chefs who prepare made to order omelets. The buffet isn't included in your stay, but it is very good. The grounds are pretty well maintained. They have a beautiful courtyard. An outdoor fireplace for the colder months. The trolley runs about every 30 minutes to the hotel and can pretty much drop you off anywhere downtown.We stay here everything that we go to Gatlinburg.

The hotel was quite nice view of the mountain's the saff was very pleasant and offering help to load up. Your belongings. Only disadvantage is. they don't have lighting in the ceiling. They only have 2 floor lamps and 1 table lamp. Where the vanity is they have led lighting around the mirror. And it's super bright. To me it a overkill. The don't have a room microwave. They have shared microwave and need to be clean. The icemaker is out of order.

The hotel has enough amenities that you wouldn't even have to leave if you didn't want to. I've wanted to stay at this hotel for years, and finally got to. There's 2 restaurants, a bar, outdoor areas to sit and play corn hole, a pool that's great for kids etc. The property is beautiful with lots of flowers, and has great views of the mountains. I'd love to stay here again.

My family and I enjoyed the nice indoor pool and hot tub. Very kid friendly pool! I personally liked the gym and scenery from the balcony. Elegant looking lobby and elevators. On site restaurant and place to order pizza by the pool. We used the free trolley service that picks up at the Park Vista entrance. It took us into town and brought us back each day. Friendly drivers and great amenity. This is our go to hotel in Gatlinburg.

Hotel is very clean, very nice staff. We checked out the pool area nice I know kids would love it. Chlorine overload for me.
Great breakfast, vouchers included in our reservation.

Room lighting:
Our room was dark even with the 4 lamps in the bedding area. Maybe brighter bulbs?

AC worked great.

I didn’t bring up the following shortfalls to the hotel staff at checkout because, a lot of times these type of things tend not to be addressed due to multiple reasons. Extremely loud and non efficient hvac unit. Room furniture very dusty and almost coming off its hinges (door that concealed the refrigerator). Balcony flooring could use some touch up paint. Housekeeping was asked to return in 15-20 minutes (at around 9:30) and never did all day. Called the front desk with no response to our request for cleaning or follow up. Next day still no housekeeping visit. Had to physically go down to the front desk and ask for it. $18 parking fee, which is a little much considering the size of the parking lot which is enormous. Should just have guest hang the parking permit on car mirror and that would let security know you’re a guest. Hotel is extremely quiet and far enough away from the main strip that it makes your stay easier. Staff is very friendly and helpful so the shortfalls were not that horrible.

The outside was maintained nicely and beautiful but as for the inside it wasn’t maintained. The carpet very very old and dirty. Dresser very old they was very hard to open. Sliding door was hard to open track was dirty and old. Ceiling had some damage. Shower curtain was tore and faucets didn’t work well. But staff at the restaurant and bar area was GREAT! Food was good too.

I did not know about having to pay about parking in the hotel parking lot. I will never be back and will let everyone know about this and I was told they are not responsible if anything happens to your vehicle after you pay them for parking. Greed will get you no where. Just remember when you are gone you can not take it with you. Greed is a sin.

Upon checking in, the total for our stay was given and paid for including pet fees. Upon checking out they attempted to charge us another rough $150 for supposed pet fees. Needless to say we refused to pay anything in addition to the total we were given upon check in. Male dayshift Manager was rude and dismissive. Hospitality could use some further training and education.

Had a great stay. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was quiet. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was really good. Only complaint was a staff member rode his motorcycle to work and fired it up at 1 in the morning waking us up. It was extremely loud.

This hotel has it all! Great views, restaurants, pool with slide, trolley shuttle to downtown and the hotel itself has an interesting architecture. I was curious how the room would look with it being a round hotel, and they were super roomy. All around a great place to stay on a Gatlinburg trip. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the warm cookies - delicious!!

The staff was very kind. Coffee available in room and at the restaurant but not until 8. Great views but no seats on balcony. We had a suite. Very nice. The downside was the parking fees. There was no danger of anyone else parking and with 2 conferences going on, we had to walk in the rain. Otherwise, highly recommend!

This is a Hilton Hotel and we were quite surprised to see that it had need for updates. The sink did not drain properly and the vanity was in serious need of repair. One whole side was partially ripped off. The door to the balcony did not lock and the safety bar on the patio door did not fasten properly. I would not recommend this particular hotel in Gatlinburg TN.

Would have been nice to know about the trolley in Gatlinburg, it’s free and easy to use. We didn’t know about it till the end of our stay.
Hotel is in a good location, has beautiful scenic views! Hotel is on a really steep long hill, so there is no walking to anything.
Rooms are very nice, but poor lighting.
There is an extra fee at desk with check in, cost was higher than it was with hotels.com.
Additional parking fee also added, which we were aware of prior to arrival.

The Hilton standardization interrupts the space, causing some weird inefficiencies with the showers and other spaces. Things that maybe should have been fixed, like the varnish on the cabinets or making sure the elevators are fully functioning, seem to have been pushed aside for weird modernizations. No issues with the staff, who I am sure are working very hard, and the views out the windows were fantastic.

While the hotel was very nice and the room was clean there were a few things that were less than satisfactory.
After paying for “everything” online we were charged a $68 fee when checking in; $18 of that being for parking. Paying a parking fee is ridiculous to me after already paying $260 for the room itself. The additional $50 we were charged at check in was for god knows what.
The food at the restaurant inside the hotel was very mediocre and overpriced. I wouldn’t mind paying $150 for a nice meal, but this was not that. Additionally, being charged $23 per person for breakfast is outrageous. Breakfast should always be included with your stay.
The only complaint I have about the room is the pillows. Typically hotel pillows are super nice and firm, but their pillows were very soft and flimsy! You would need about 4 pillows to sleepy comfortably!
Overall our stay was ok, but I wouldn’t book this hotel again for future visits.
