An airport rebuild some years ago meant that this \"airport\" hotel is now two stations down the rail line. Delayed flight and diversion to Dresden, not the hotel's fault, meant a 1.30am instead of evening arrival. Instead of a caring welcome for the weary, dishevelled, disoriented traveller, an abrupt direction to lift for first floor, from which emerging into darkness I fumbled round walls and corridors in a vain search for bedrooms. A while after discovering a light switch and thus alerting reception, I was directed back to the lift, forming a barrier between two sections of the hotel, and told to exit on its far side. In my room, past 2.00am I anticipated that as advertised, I would be refreshed by making myself a hot drink. Nowhere was that advertised facility to be found, the only \"welcome\" a small bottle of cold water. Enquiring the next day, was told that by a policy decision the hotel had recently discontinued the facility. (I will not book a hotel where a hot drink cannot be prepared in the bedroom.)
The room was adequate, the bed very comfortable and the hot water shower excellent, though the floor quickly became slippery, this elderly guest requiring extra care in the absence of a rubber mat or wall grab handle.

You had to become a member in a consumer club to use the WiFi, which is idiotic, it's supposed to be for everyone who stays there, without an additional requirement to become a member. There were no visible staff at arrival in the evening, had to check in on an automat. They're supposed to do that when I paid for the experience of a hotel stay. I wanted to tell the cleaning staff that we were staying in the room a bit longer and they could return later, but they only spoke Vietnamese, and were thus impossible to communicate with. There was a kettle in the room, and that's better than there being no kettle, but I'd in that case expect some tea bags or instant coffee powder in the room, which there weren't. The positive thing is that it's overall clean and fresh, and the location is great when wanting to live only a seven minute train ride from the airport. Would perhaps return when there's a need to live in that area again, but I'm not exactly thrilled about it.

The hotel, the room, the air conditioning, the staff -front desk gentleman was very helpful, the bar tender was very kind, the breakfast staff were great, the breakfast-the food/drinks were really good, the restaurant perfect. The biggest problem was the location. No stores, no shops, no other restaurants nearby. The hotel was isolated except for a sort of car company? beside it and sort of a freeway on each side. Taking an Uber to the nearest (aside from the one at the hotel) restaurant would cost you $26. We opted to take the train which is like a 15-20min walk from the hotel.

The online check-in was very handy. The room was clean and of great quality. I didn't hear noise from outside even though it's next to a big road and close to the airport. The only thing is I didn't get any guidance for check out. So I had to wait in a long queue but found out they I was able to leave my card key somewhere on the reception table after seeing someone do it.

There are two Intercity hotels at the BER airport. This one is two train stops away. I did not realize it and went to the wrong one first. From the train station an approx 10 min walk which can be cumbersome when you have heavy luggage. All in all an OK stay for the price I paid.

Attentive, polite staff; well-maintained property with spacious, clean rooms. Hotel offers bar, restaurant, sauna and fitness room. Just know there are no shops, bars, or restaurants nearby. But if you need to be close to the Berlin airport the night before a flight, as I did, then this is the perfect place to stay. The Schönefeld S-Bahn is just a five minute walk away and will get you to the airport within 10 minutes.

It seems you need to read the small prints to have a tea bag in the room. I checked in at 11pm and got up Sunday at 7, saw the kettle and cups, searched for the tea bag. But none? Strange, rang reception and was told I need to pay for breakfast downstairs to avail of tea. This was 'abolished' by the new Shanghai owner and anyway she could not help being only 3 months here. And also she said I was rude and hung up on me. Now, I would have said if I was alone at reception to come down and I would have provided any guest asking with some tea bags on a Sunday morning but this is obviously a choice. She was very unfriendly and could not think of a helpful solution. It was the worst experience I had in a hotel for many years. So, I am not coming back and voiced that, too but it seemed she did not care. I later got tea bags from the trolley upstairs. Simple? Well, the person neither spoke German nor English, I did not try French. He was kind and when pointing to the package of tea bags he provided me with two for next morning. I was too shy to ask for milk but did not see any anywhere. If a hotel starts saving on the tea facility is it not a bit of a desperate attempt then? I don't need the fancy tea from downstairs (that is not eco-friendly by the way with it's non compostable plastic bags) but some simple tea, any tea please on a Sunday at 7 in the morning in this rather remote location. This is another point by the way. On the map I did not see that this was at the old airport...

First time at this hotel in Berlin. Room was spacious and well equipped. No instructions for the room safe. Staff and service was exceptional. Breakfast was limited and could be more enticing. Given bus/tube/train passes for three days which was incredible. Don’t get a taxi from the airport, it’s two stops from Brandenburg airport, get off at Schonefeld train station and two minute walk. Reception staff very helpful. Would stay there again.

Das Hotel liegt sehr nah am ehemaligen Flughafen Schönefeld ist aber mit der S- Bahn unkompliziert zum Flughafen Berlin- Brandenburg zu erreichen. Die S-Bahn fährt ab 5.00 h morgens im 15 Min. Takt.

Not only was the receptionist at check-in quite kurt - not German-efficient, I can tell the difference, and the room not cleaned recently, but checkout was no more than a \"thank-you\" without eye contact.

The hotel had emailed me to complete a check-in form online, then emailed twice trying to sell me a room upgrade and then emailed asking me to check-out online yet when I didn't take this last step, it was still only seconds at Reception.

Weekend break in Berlin

Took the S9, train straight from the Bradenberg airport, get off at the Schönefeld stop and go down the slope or the steps and up the other side and hotel is right there. 10/15 minutes on the train max. Great customer service from all the staff. Small convenience store across the road for an essential items needed. We booked a business room on 5th floor, had a fridge which was perfect for a bottle of wine or 2. The S9 train, takes you straight into Berlin too. Super convenient.

The property itself was okay. It was clean and tidy, however the self check in machine didn't work so you had to go to the front desk anyway which rendered it pointless. The man at reception wasn't very friendly. The cleanliness was good but that's about it. The area around it hasn't got anything going on, and it's a 10 minute walk from the train station which if you're someone with mobility issues like me it's not good. I needed to cancel one of the nights I would be staying as my flight got rearranged and Expedia were unable to get in contact with the hotel at all.

Room was booked for two people but bed had only one pillow and one small duvet on it.
There was an electric kettle to boil water but no tea bags or anything like it. Upon inquiry, we were told that tea bags are available for purchase. No coffee maker in room.
After checking in, we booked a taxi to get to the airport early the next morning. It arrived early but the front desk clerk did not let us know although we were the only ones in the lobby waiting for a taxi.
Restaurant was quite expensive. We stayed at a better hotel downtown where the hotel restaurant was better and cheaper and the service stellar.
There was a flyer in the room advertising the pizza in the restaurant and although pizza was on the menu, the server said they did not have any.

Well, I thought this place would serve my purpose, as I only needed a place to sleep in before my flight.
Didn't happen, as the cleaning lady just barged in to the room at 9AM without even knocking.
On the 5th floor they did the same to my friend.

There is a knowledge in reception who is still in the house, USE IT!

Also, never been in a hotel room that is so COLD. The heater did nothing.
Breakfast was minimal and only half of coffee and juice machines were in use, so I Waited forever for my coffee.

I walked in to the real airport hotel to check in. I found I had to take a taxi to the second intercity hotel on the other side of the airport. Not happy at 11pm having arrived on a Ryan air flight. Not clear and I will inform on social media. This hotel needs a warning to potential customers that it is a taxi ride away costing at least 25 euros! I wont be returning there.

• Gym charge per day €10 - never seen it anywhere before - that shoudl be clearly mentioned in ‚facilities’
• No alternative (only vending machine) and no ability to order any food or drink e.g. coffee throughout the day - when I asked about coffee by the bar I have been told restaurant works from 5pm… - so no service
• limited breakfast options; mainly unhealthy - lots of sweets and breads, no fresh vegetables or fish, no decent juices - only artificial from the machine

• quiet
• windows open so you get some fresh air
• comfortable bed

Overall :
This hotel doesn’t seem customer friendly.
Decent and clean, but won’t ever stay again.

The A/C stopped working and when I asked front desk staff about it, they answered carelessly that they are working on it. I ended up leaving a day early after paying in advance. The lounge only opens for few hours in the morning, reopen at 4pm. also, they charge way more for water bottles, I ended up paying over $40 in 2 days. not worth the money paid!

The Intercity hotel is located at a convenient distance from the airport - although it is still a short train ride to Schonfeld, and a short walk from the train station. The room is basic but has everything one needs. I wish though that they had coffee/tea packets, which are required by most customers.

Hotel is close to the airport and has laundry facilities but iskinda far away from other places like restaurants. One thing that bothered me was that on the expedia page for the hotel it mentioned that they had a rooftop garden but when I wanted to go the receptionist said there wasn't one so I was very disappointed.

A night to forget

Arrived quite late on what had been a warm and humid day in Berlin, was really looking forward to a nice cool room, and was hopeful staff would have made sure the a/c was running for my arrival. So not pleased to find a very warm room. I immediately set it running and looked forward to a drop in the temperature. It dropped a bit but not much, I called reception and they said a/c was broken but \"don't worry\" as it should be fixed tomorrow. Very bad answer when I am struggling to sleep, in the end I opened the window and had to put up with all night traffic noise! Mentioned this to staff and my extreme dismay after a totally rubbish night’s sleep. I requested a free breakfast which I got (thank you) but a more appropriate thing would be a voucher for a free night (with working a/c) in the future! But why was a guest not warned in advance the a/c was not working, I would then at lese have tried to book elsewhere!

Stayed at this property in January and was satisfied so booked for a week beginning last week. No Air Conditioning even though it is listed as an amenity. Called the Front Desk on a Saturday and she said it is to be repaired and to open the window. Six days later still no a/c and the ventilation is so poor in the room that it's like sleeping in a park in Hawaii.

Entfernung zum Flughafen stimmt nicht

Ist definitiv kein Airporthotel. War es vielleicht mal als T5 noch offen war. Es wird mit 8 bis 10 min zum Flughafen geworben…bitte etwas mehr Ehrlichkeit. Mit Koffern ca. 15min bis zum S Bahnhof. Der Fußweg dorthin ist furchtbar…ein Killer für die Räder der Koffer. 2 Stationen mit der S Bahn…Berlin…gefühlte Dauerdurchsage „es kommt zu Unregelmäßigkeiten“ 1Stunde bis zum Flughafen. Na ja dafür kann das Hotel nichts. Das nächste mal schaue ich genauer auf die Lage.
