Great location in Olhão, with partial sea views and a spacious balcony. The one-bedroom apartment is suitable for a small family or couple. The furniture needs updating, the apartment needs maintenance, and the kitchen lacks many of the basic cooking utensils.
I wasn’t satisfied 100% of my five-day stay because, I thought they provided daily cleaning, fresh towels, and amenities, even though it was all paid for! The reception staff were very polite always, with one word on their mouth whenever I asked about anything: the apartment has nothing to do with the hotel services, and you have to pay extra 20€ to have towels or any extra amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay and the apartment was immaculate. We were kindly upgraded to a stunning two bedroom apartment and we were even able to have a later checkout. We visited in December so there was not a lot to do nearby. However the local restaurants were very friendly and the breakfast in the morning was amazing!

Me and my family stayed for 3 nights ar Real Marine Residence. The two bedroom flat was excellent. We had a everting what we need for our stay. The only things that we could not take advantage was the roof top swiming pool due to the weather. The staff were very kind and helpfull. We paid for breakfast for duration of our stay and we was given one day free breakfast. We really enjoy our stay and will recomended this hotel to our freinds

Great apartment, perfect position near restaurants and shops.
The only issue we had was at the check in. We didn’t receive any instructions by email and the address we had was wrong. I asked for help to the Marina Residence Team using the whatsapp chat and I received a reply the following day. We spent one hour going around the main street looking for the residence (Google unfortunately confirmed the wrong address we had, and we didn’t know what to do!)
We were just lucky to pop in and ask information at the Marina Hotel , and this was the place where we should have done the check in. Nobody told us.
The staff of the hotel was always nice and helpful .
The flat was great. You can be unlucky and find very noisy neighbours (this happened only the last night, a group of tourists next to us decided to party on the balcony until 4am) ; there isn’t a front desk, so you need to deal with it on your own.
Olaho is very nice and close to wonderful beaches (Armona).
Be careful to walk around the small hidden street of the village especially during the evening, because we had a couple of unpleasant situations when we refused to give money to some guys begging on the street, they started shouting at us and the second time a person tried to follow us after we got money at ATM. I suppose there is no place in the world where you can low your guard.

Great stay at lovely central apartments

Great apartments in a central location. Very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of storage. There were 2 large bathrooms also one off the hallway and one ensuite off the master bedroom.

Off the lounge area there was access to the balcony with a table with seating for 6 there was also a table inside with seating for 6 for when it was too hot to sit outside.

Both bedrooms and the lounge had air-conditioning which worked really well. There were also shutters on all the windows which kept the light out in the morning and allowed us to sleep in.

If anything the kitchen was a little under equipped it could of done with a few more utensils and there were only 3 wine and 3 beer glasses. We only ate in once though so not a problem.

The pool are on the roof is nice for a dip but a little too small and shallow for a swim. The kids still loved it though. You can book into the Hotel to use the pool for the day this costs €35 per adult and you get to use the money at the hotel bar for drinks food and snacks. This was a really nice pool with a great view and the food was excellent also so well worth it.

Checkin was delt with at the hotel reception which is not really made clear anywhere. All in all a great base for the week in Olaho which is a lovely traditional Algarve town with plenty of great restaurants and island beaches to explore.

The apartment does not provide any housing services. Towels are old and fir any extra towel you have to pay, no tissue paper as well as no coffee or tea and simple things that you can use the kitchen. For us was useless to have full kitchen and we weren’t aware that those essential stuff would nit be provided. This wasn’t the first time we rented an apartment for vacation. Front desk staff are not responding to the call and the text messages. Poor experience overall!

This was my second stay here at the Marina residence. It was wonderful both times. Spacious apartment and good basic amenities in the kitchen. Good wifi. Good location within walking distance to several dining options. We used the rooftop pool too which was very good, clean, toilet and changing facilities available. All in all a good stay I’d highly recommend.

We stayed as a family of four for four nights at the Real Marina Residence. It was easy to check in at the hotel which is a short walk from the complex. Our apartment was clean and spacious with all the mod cons. Ample toiletries were provided and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony and although we didn’t have a sea view it was still pleasant. The rooftop area with the pool and sun loungers was a highlight - the pool was smaller than average and not heated but this was not a problem in the warm sunshine. It would probably feel a little crowded with more than one family but we were always the only ones up there which was perfect. We bought a few things which were not provided - liners for the bathroom bins, washing up liquid, kitchen sponges, etc. A colander would have been useful in the kitchen but other than that we had everything we needed. We liked having a gas hob which we don’t often come across in holiday apartments. The location of the apartment is great - a short walk into town, a large supermarket, the ferry harbour, and opposite is a complex of restaurants and a small but very fun arcade. We had a wonderful stay at the Real Marina Residence and would happily return.

The residences are self catering apartments a very short walk from the hotel (where you check in). The apartment was a bit on the tired side now but clean & huge! It had air con in the lounge & bedroom & electric shutters in those rooms too.
Nothing is provided in the kitchen by way of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cloths etc, save for a tea towel, but there’s a Pingo or Aldi within reasonable walking distance.
Close to a large selection of restaurants & bars.
Ubers are easy to get hold of & if you have breakfast in the main hotel, there’s a very good choice there from the hot & cold buffet.
Only 15 mins from the airport, would definitely return for a short break.

An amazing apartment photos don’t do it justice, main desk in hotel were very helpful before, during and after the holiday when needed. Walkable into town centre which has plenty of options for cafe, restaurants and shops. Only thing I will say is that as we were in end apartment didn’t have the best view of the derelict land behind apartments but not anything to do with real marina obviously.

My family and I, liked the hotel staff for good customer services. They met our needs without delay for instance when the initial appartment was not suitable (Stove was not working), the management changed our appartment in no time. Also the management was not relunctant to change our appartment again and gave us another opportunity to view another appartment when we found the new appartment they gave us not as big as our initial appartment.

The staff were always available whenever we need their services for instance when we need them to show us how to operate the AC and TV.

What we don't like about the hotel is that we are unable to use their swimming facilities because it was too cold to swim in the outdoor pool that is in the residence and we learnt bitter experience never to book hotel with outdoor swimming other than the summer season.

It would have been very nice if the outdoor pool could be heated but it wasn't and therefore we learnt our lessons never to book hotel with outdoor swimmings other than their summer seasons.

Real Marina (and Olhao in general) is simply great for getting away from it all. My biggest complaint is that the rooftop pools are neglected when it comes to cleaning.

Also, don't make my mistake bringing a PS4/Xbone because you're gonna have a bad time trying to connect to the Internet.

Finally, I'm not a beer snob but the beer variety at the pool is a bit lacking.

2nd stay here and they were as good as the 1st time. Really clean with a lovely big balcony to sit out and relax. Air con works well. Powerful shower. Mattress was a bit firm and might have benefitted from a mattress topper. Rooftop pool area was fab with a little splash pool, not much good for swimming but all you need to cool down in the hot weather. I would recommend these apt’s, we had a great stay.

Brilliant and friendly staff, and a lovely area. The apartment blocks were a place I would definitely go again. There are a few bars and restaurants and is an easy driving distance from Albufeira. You also get to use the hotel pool and restaurant which is nice. You are treated as no different from a guest of the hotel.

Spacious apartment outside of Faro

CHeck-in was through the hotel the apartments were attached too which went smoothly. I requested in advance an apartment high up to reduce the noise levels which they did provide. The apartment was huge, a double room, a twin room, a balcony with a dining table (facing west) and a spacious kichinette with dishwasher, fridgefreezer, cooker and oven. Small rooftop pool which was great, would stay here again for the facilities. Olhao itself is just a small town, with a marina and seafront (no beach).

Nice, modern apartment in good location with absolutely no service. House keeping only once a week, which is useless if you stay only one week. Scruffy towels were replaced after two requests. On arrival around midnight, drinking water had to be ordered through room service at a prohibitive price. No dish washing utensils were available and could be ordered at a price of € 7,50, which included only 2 dish washer tabs. All this didn't account for a sense of being welcome. All in all the stay was enjoyable.

Excellent stay. We have stayed at the Real Marina Hotel before but felt, since we were staying for a month, it would be better to stay in the Residence. Very pleased with accomodations, spacious, clean and well-appointed. Only downside, bed was a bit hard, but that is a matter of personal choice. Ample parking and close to pier and many restaurants and bars. Staff very attentive.

Modern, clean and large apartments

We booked two apartments for a family party of 15. We were not able to get two adjoining apartments due to the placement of apartments but they were as close together as possible. The apartments were very clean and decorated to a high standard. The fitted kitchen was very well equipped. Cleaning isn't done during bookings of seven days or less. A mid stay change of towels would be a recommendation. The roof top pool (we had access to two) were nicely maintained and luckily for us very quiet so our group had sole use much of the time. A late check out was requested for one of the apartments as we had a later flight, we were quoted a considerable amount for a extra stay of six hours but after much discussion this was reduced to a more reasonable amount. The biggest thing lacking was a washing machine in the apartment or even within the apartment block, having laundry facilites installed would make the stay less stressful. Olhaõ itself was very quiet, a perfect destination for a family holiday without too many tourists and noise.
