From check-in to check-out it was an overall outstanding experience. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were top notch and with plenty of space to relax and stretch out, very comfy.

Between the mold in our shower, having to pay every night for parking, every time you turned around you were being charged for something. The pool at this property had paint chipping off in the water in the walls. Had paint literally peeling off of them.

You have to pay for parking. It states it is $16 per day I stayed 2 days cost me $51 with all the fees! It is a separate company so you have to sign up for parking and staff weren’t helpful when I had problems. We go to KC a lot this is not one I will come back to because of the parking issue.

Overall a nice stay. The manager specical food wasn't what it used to be (check mix, gold fish crackers, one fruit and hummus). I was not able to get two extra towels when I asked in the morning had to wait until housekeeping got there.

Room was decent, some attention to detail could be helpful like the used toothpick in the shower when we arrived. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great 9/10 on Saturday. Sunday 2/10 out of juice and pop, dirty bowls etc…beware elevators are insanely slow.

I worked at this property years ago when Mr. Hammonds owned it, and to say it has gone downhill is an understatement. The biggest disappointment was that there was a Trading Card convention booked, not just in the ballroom, but in the atrium as well. They charge $17 per day to park but if you left during the day there was no parking to be had when you returned because of the convention, that there was no mention made of.

I was told by \"Alex\" that a staff member would be in touch, never happened. Overall I would love to recommend this property as it has meaning to me on a personal level, but this trip was so bad I don't see that happening.

The room looked like it hadn't been touched in months, stained carpets, mold in shower, broken & cracked lamp shade, dust lining the room edges where the vacuum hadn't reached in years. The tv & stand leaned by atleast 2inches & we think the whole room might be settling inward. The sheets & bedding were clean! And the omelet line cook was amazing. When hosting a large event such as trading card con it would be worth while to advertise to other patrons that it is happening on that date so their stay is not disruptive. I booked several months in advance & would have definitely stayed elsewhere for a much better weekend for our family!!!!! The crowd, noise & chaos...let alone no availability of parking for your actual guests was a nightmare & that ontop of our room conditions makes it the worst! And ps. Ive never had a bad review!

Our room got moved to a 2 bedroom instead of a king due to booking through Expedia, the staff was accommodating, friendly, but there was no hot tub like it said online. Overall once we got into our room, the room we got moved to was fine, we were just frustrated that we didn’t get a discount or anything due to the hotel changing our reservation.

Parking was not included in cost (15/day), made even worse by parking being incredibly difficult to find during the Trading Card Con. Was only able to find parking overnights and had to risk parking on separate property during the day. Property also did not have a hot tub present as advertised when booking, was a large influence on our choice of location for this stay. Also no prior mention by Expedia or property of 50/day \"Incidental Cost\" added on at the door, led to reduced spending budget for the convention.

The staff and cleanliness were great. The building is outdated, but the problem is the beds!! They beds were straights coils, no cushions. We were up all
night and really exhausted from our trip. It was really not healthy for us, and such a disappointing situation from an Embassy Suite property. I really believe we should receive a partial refund and I will ensure the company knows the staff are awesome and the beds tragic.

The room was okay, didn't seem like the room was cleaned before hand. The breakfast was amazing. During the stay my 6 year old found a prescription pill on the ground that my baby could of gotten. We asked the front desk to talk to management about what they could do to fix this issue but never heard anything. Lack of communication from this makes me want to steer away next time we come. Hopefully someone can reach out to make it right.

We have stayed here a few times but this was one of worst hotel stays I have had. We didn’t get to check in late as we are traveling. The room was dirty there was chips around the bed there was food caked on the lamp on the night side table. , there was no shampoo or conditioner it was 1am when we took showers and there was no room service at this time they got off at midnight. The heat did not work well and it was freezing and there was no comfort or top cover. The k cups that were in the room had been used and left there. The only good thing was that the breakfast was ok.

The room was fairly clean but we found a ton of trash behind our door, along with stuff all over the wall.

We ordered food at the bar inside and after waiting for an hour we were told they were completely out of pizza. There is no hot tub and the pool was not in the best condition. I usually love Embassy Suites but this one was not the best.

The staff was super friendly and nice. The hotel its self however was not like i remember. First of all i got this particular hotel because i thought it had a hot tub but it does not. Niether does it have a sauna like thier sister hotel in des moines. The pool area needs a ton of work the paint was peeling off the walls. The room was nice. Mostly what i expected except the bathroom shower needs something to protect the celing from mold and the caulkin around the tub could have been neater when installed plus a proper vent fan. The staff is super friendly and probably deserves a raise.

A lot of noise. But again it was New Years Eve so we turned rhe TV on for white noise in background. Property is clean a d safe.

The room was spotless and very roomy! What stood out was the bartender Sabrina! Every night durung happy hour, she was professional, funny, never seen her sweat and she had a rude and disrespectful customer, but handled her with kindness and professionalism. She could have not served this woman, but she did! She cleaned tables and ran orders to rooms, it was a lot and she was cool as a fan! Thank you Sabrina for making my stay even better. Kristi at the frint desk was very helpful and reassurung that my bill was paid in full! I hope to come back!! Thank you!

As a business traveler, I have stayed at a few Embassy Suites across the USA. This one was, by far, below the standards I’ve come to appreciate from Hilton. The staff was very difficult. I wanted to order food. The online method was not working. I talked to the front desk. They told me to talk to the bartender. The bartender told me to talk to the front desk. I worked through the bartender to finally get an order in. In the 50 minutes I was at the bar waiting for my food, she was there 10 minutes total to serve one drink. Otherwise, she was sitting at the tables talking to her boyfriend or out right gone! Then, the A/C fan sounded like I was ready to launch to Mars! So loud. In the public areas, there was torn and peeling wallpaper. We did take advantage of the board games from the front counter, so a bit of good from the front counter. That was fun and a nice to have. Again, I love Embassy Suites, but this one feels to be lacking the appropriate leadership to deliver a great visitor experience one would expect from a Hilton property. I will continue to stay with Hilton but would never stay at Embassy Suites KCI again.

Staff was great but the hotel is really dated. There is no hot tub as advertised and the pool is very small only going 4ft deep.

Our original room door was not working and we had to switch rooms. The room had carpet that was bunched up in the center and the decor needs a facelift. The in room refrigerator had no knob to adjust the temperature (which is what they call standard) where maintenance has to be called to adjust.

They charge for the bottle water in the room and have the bare minimum effort in amenities for the room.

Breakfast is also bare minimum effort. Eggs, sausage patties and french toast everyday. No bacon was offered unless going to the dirty omelet station, which tasted like it was either microwaved or cooked days ago. Thank goodness we picked up some items at Walmart.

Overall, staff was good breakfast was at least free, amenities advertised were not available and rooms really needing a serious overhaul. If coming back to the area, I would not stay here agian.

Let me start off with saying the staff was so pleasant and kind. The front desk, maintenance, breakfast crew, cleaning crew…, everyone we encountered was amazing. When we first checked in, the toilet was clogged so the front desk sent maintenance right away to fix it. And they even called shortly after to ensure it got fixed and if we needed anything else. However, the room was very dated, moldy and disgusting. The bed was extremely hard. The carpet was unbelievably stained and dirty, that was couldn’t bring myself to take my socks off. I felt guilty having my 10 month old crawl around on the floor and my 2 toddlers play with their toys on this floor. There was mold around most of the corners between the wall and the floor. The window in the bedroom was full on mold. The bathroom looked like it had been updated not too terribly long ago, however the ceiling has mold growing above the shower and in the grout and tile in the shower. The water pressure in the shower was so hard, I couldn’t shower my kids and I could barely stand it without using a towel to soften the blow to my skin. I was so extremely disappointed in the condition of our room.

I had arranged to view the room early to place a welcome basket inside. I was assured of its cleanliness, but unfortunately, the reality was quite different. The room was dirty and unkempt, with issues including hair in the fridge, dried mucus on the curtains, and a door that wouldn't lock due to loose screws. It was embarrassing to receive my colleague in such conditions.

Despite my requests, the room was not cleaned in a timely manner, and my colleague arrived to a room that was not only unacceptable but also left her unable to sleep until 2 AM due to the unsettling environment—especially with an early morning meeting scheduled. It was not only her that was affected; I noticed other guests were requesting room changes for similar reasons.

To add to our disappointment, we did not receive any form of compensation or acknowledgment of these issues, which adds to our frustration with the whole experience. Embassy Suites has always been synonymous with cleanliness and professionalism in the past, but this incident has certainly diminished our faith in the brand.

To start, the food (snacks) we got from the lobby was weeks expired. Upon entering, we didn’t receive a gift bag like other patrons. The food in the restaurant was “fine”. The waitress was amazing, but working by herself and there was obviously to many people for one person to attended bar and serve food. There were no sheets for the pull out. Outdated hotel. No access to streaming platforms in room. No access to cast device to tv, but the TV’s are “smart”? Less than 2 hours after breakfast started, the kitchen ran out of food. The kitchen staff was telling the guests they didn’t anticipate a full hotel. Really? On a weekend with an important sporting event in town, kids tournaments, band competitions, and the hotel can’t feed everyone which is a big selling point for the hotel? The in room coffee pot was the old fashioned brew bag coffee, but there were k cups in the room. I couldn’t even make coffee. Never staying here again.

Our stay was ok. The beds nor the pillows were very comfy & the sofa in our room was sunken in on one side. We weren't aware of the parking fee nor the $100 \"incidental fee\" in advance. Wouldn't have had a problem with either but feel it should be known beforehand AND why are some people charged $100 \"incidental fee\" & others are charged $50? We we charged $100 but while standing in line waiting to check out, the couple in front of me checking in were only charged $50. Because we were on a time schedule, I didn't get into the rationale of it with the Front Desk Attendant but just thought that I'd add that.
We did enjoy the \"Happy Hour\" with complimentary drinks & snacks each night we were there tho!
