The Casino was great, except it wasn’t easy to get anything to drink. Our room was nice except I could write my name in the dust on the furniture, the bathroom sink had a problem draining and there was mold in the shower in the corners and along the bottom of the glass. We stayed 4 nights and the room was never cleaned or refreshed in any way. We will play in Casino again but will probably not stay in the hotel again.

Great location and the building is in really nice shape. Lobby area decor is really nice. Staff was friendly during check in. Found a lot of hair in the bathroom, the sink drained very slowly and there were no tissues. I alerted the staff the next day. When I came back later the drain was fixed but that was it.
The casino is great, plenty of games and space, decent food options and the prices are very reasonable.

The hotel/casino is not a clean place. They don’t have staff for maid service. I had to go down to the lobby to get any extra blankets or towels for the next day. The restaurants were slow and expensive. This was not the experience I was expecting.

I reached out via email beforehand to inquire about an early check-in. I have stayed at hotels in Italy, Greece, and various other European destinations. They responded promptly. However, I never received any reply.
I submitted a review through Travelocity, and they forwarded my complaints on my first day, yet I never heard back from anyone.
PRO:
✔️ The male barista at the café was truly exceptional.
✔️ The two cashiers at the Lotus restaurant were fantastic. An older lady with a cast on her arm and a young man in his early twenties.
✔️ The delivery guy from the Lotus restaurant was great.
✔️ The bathroom shower was absolutely wonderful.
CON:
🚫 The hotel itself reeked of cigarette smoke.
🚫 Upon entering the room, I found the bed sheets stained with mascara, lipstick, and other revolting🤮🤢 substances. When I arrived in the room.
🚫 The front desk attendant insisted I remove the dirty sheets from the bed and place them in the hallway. Then she handed me new sheets and expected me to remake the bed, but eventually changed my room instead.
❌️ I had to switch to a different room three times.
✖️ It took 45 minutes for the front desk to respond the first time, and this was already at 10:30 p.m.
❎️ I called the hotel thinking I had left something in the room. The front desk transferred me to housekeeping. I called housekeeping three times with no answer.

I initiated this review based on Expedia asking how my check in was. We checked in, late evening (just after 10pm). Went to our assigned room (after being asked if we really needed a double bed room - yes, that's what I requested/reserved). That room, upon opening, had someones suitcases present and it was obvious someone staying there. Thank goodness we were not walking into someones room. Back to checkin, they apologized got us a new room, but the whole time we are questioning security here, safety, etc but also stuck as we were here with thousanda across the city for a huge volleyball tournament (with kids) - and had no interest in the casino offerings, just a clean bed and bath. The hotel offered very little in regards to apology and 'said' upon checkout they waived the resort fee. But the price I paid was exactly the expedia agreed price. Because we were with other teammates, we did not move, but I couldn't recommend staying here unless you are here for the casino, which is not us.

We enjoyed our stay at the Argosy Casino & Hotel. The room was very clean, the sheets smelled super clean & the bathroom was massive. The in-room coffee was kind of lacking. We caught a maid & got coffee for day 2, but the coffee packet didn’t include cream or sweetener. ☹️ The primary restaurant was excellent, we sat at the bar & the service was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

The outside of hotel looks Pretty rough lots cigarettes butts everywhere and needs a paint job. The room was clean but they do not have housekeeping

It was nice, clean and the staff was pretty friendly. We stayed there because we went to a convention. Our issue was that we had my niece with us. She is 20 years old. One of the restaurants that we wanted to go to, you had to go through the casino, so, we were unable to go. Why they don't have a door to get in outside of the casino is beyond me. Other than that, it was fine.

Room smelled like cigarette smoke badly and all of our things then smelled like stale smoke-even our luggage. We won’t stay here again or recommend this hotel. Pretty poor hotel for spending $260 for one night. Highly disappointed!

The shower was super loud. Definitely air in the plumbing caused a super loud and awakening noise when my wife woke up and decided to shower well before I was planning to be up. Sent a video to the hotel, but no response. Mentioned it to the check in ladies as well. Unsure how interested they were in fixing it.

I loved how my room had a doorbell. The shower was the best I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The floor to ceiling windows gave luxury but my view was of the Super 8 sign. Overall I would stay here again, I’d just hope that housekeeping would actually clean my room next time.

I stayed for my birthday for two days and it seems they were happy with taken care of me instead of allowing me to be at a resort, although it cost me resort fees. Clean room, polite staff. My only complaint is that there was a 1/2\" gap between the double-doors into the bathroom,which looks dead-ahead at the glass shower. This wasn't a major issue for my situation which was a weekend getaway with my dad, but generally speaking, it's inexcusable. The room stank of marijuana. Curtains wouldn’t shut because they didn’t fit, had to use a hair clip to keep them closed. The rooms are in desperate need of TLC! The staff was very nice and helpful.

The room was very spacious. The view was of the parking lot but one wall was a huge window, wall to wall and floor to almost the ceiling. It was gorgeous! The bathroom was huge with a huge walkin shower, double shower head (one was a rainfall shower overhead ). It was a bit dated by the phone installation next to the toilet. Tile from the mid 90s but it was still elegant. The lobby and hallway had embellished ceilings. It was well maintained except I think I remember seeing maybe a bubble in one place in the wallpaper. The front desk is very ornate as well. We only stayed one night, arriving in the evening and leaving early so I can’t speak to the other amenities or the casino but I enjoyed the hotel room. Figuring out which portico was the casino and which was the hotel in the dark was a little tricky but once you miss? You know it’s the other portico 😝

When I checked in the mirrors & the sink was very dirty and the toilet didn’t work so I went down there and told them the person that they sent up there to fix it went through my purse, didn’t take anything, but it’s the whole fact of like why would you touch my stuff so then they offered to move me to another room & the toilet still didn’t work. I asked them twice to help me. No one never came the Night Shift guy Darrell offered to help, but the manager in the morning was a complete rude fk I had to go downstairs and use the restroom and they told me that the best they could do was give me a $25 credit to use there right before it was time for me to check out. I had no time to even use it.
