With us checking in about 7:45 Friday night and checking out around 8:10am Monday morning, we were charged a full $25/day, so $100 total unexpected charge that I hadn’t seen mentioned on their website. That was disappointing.

We went to the NCVF National collegiate volleyball championship. I chose this hotel because it is close to the convention center. I did the research before I booked the hotel and people said there was a free KC street car running around the downtown. When I asked the lady at the front desk and she told said there was no free public transportation around here. I had to uber if I wanted to get to downtown which wasn’t true. I hope the employees who worked at the hotel should be more helpful or should not give customers wrong information. The lady who worked at the breakfast areas on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning was awesome.

Overall not a bad experience at all. Just a few things that weren’t the greatest. There were mold spots on the walls in the part of the bathroom where the shower was, I’m assuming because there was no ventilation in there. The other thing was you had to pay to park in the parking lot. We only stayed one night so not a huge deal but had it been multiple nights that definitely would have been a problem. $25 a night is crazy. The staff was really friendly, the breakfast was good. The mattresses have zip covers and then another mattress cover on top of that. Aside from the moldy spots the room was very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, our rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel was good with communicating a situation with our stay before the stay and was able to make accommodations for us. We ate breakfast at the breakfast buffet one morning, good selection of food. We were close to everything we waned to do. We were in town primarily to see Hamilton at the Kansas City Music Hall, it was 7 mins from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Very thin walls. Extremely noisy until 2 am, couldn’t even sleep it was so loud. People above us stomping across the floor sounded as if they were going to come through the ceiling. Lobby music and activity was so loud it carried to the 2nd floor. If you’re there to party great, but if you go expecting to sleep, good luck!

The staff was just wonderful--from check in Thurs. night to, helping correct my error and having us check out Monday morning instead of Tues. Good grief!! The housekeepper packed up absolutely EVERYTHING we had in the room, neatly and totally. I couldn't believe it. I felt awful for the stupid mistake. Anyway, it was a great stay. One thing though about the room....get rid of the slider door for the bathroom....terrible. They are not \"private\" at all. Just replace them with a regular door.

We were placed in room 1, in the basement. Multiple staff members stated we shouldn’t have been put there and were shocked to see us down there. What was a running joke turned into not funny quickly. The heater is broken and we had zero heat. It is very loud as it’s placed directly below the hotel bar. Also, our room was never serviced (2 day stay). Luckily the front desk attendant on Saturday night was SO kind and brought us towels and took our trash out. Big shout out to her because she was so nice. She was very apologetic about us being put down there. She couldn’t believe we were. She offered to move us but we didn’t think it was that big of a deal. That was until we realized on the second night our room had no working heat. Room was freezing. I didn’t want to bother her again and so we just sucked it up. We’ve stayed here before and usually love it. I tried talking to the next front desk attendant at check out and was given a robotic apology. There’s only 2 rooms in the basement and they shouldn’t be rented out.

Staff- I spoke with the manager in the morning and was told that I could check in at 3pm. Once I got to the hotel at 2:45 I went to see if I could still check in at 3pm. I was told rudely, by the manager it's not 3pm yet. Not given any information on if the room was ready, if they could let me know when it was. I went into the hotel 3 times before I was finally able to check in AFTER 4pm. Room-Once in the room you could tell it was a rushed cleaning, there were pills and food on the floor from the previous guest.

The room itself, staff at the bar/dining area! I wasnt Very please Of my stay, I paid Enough to not Get what I wanted. The air condition didnt work at all, The tub was clogged As me and my finance showered which is very nasty!!!! And there was 2 pillows thats Had Stains on them im not sure Exactly what it could of been But it was Brown Specs on the pillow Large amounts of it.. I didnt Take it to the front desk, Because they Was super busy & having a hard time With other Customers, I just will never stay there again or Recommend anyone too.. Also the lady that works the bar area/dining area is VERY RUDE!!!!!!!

The staff at this hotel was great. The location is just off the highway on the northside of downtown KC. Quick drive to anywhere in the city. Onsite parking was $25. They were out of spaces but still accommodated my vehicle. Breakfast was average but the bar was excellent. Would recommend!

Our stay was fine until the morning we were supposed to check out, I guess we were put by a wedding party and in the morning the entire wedding party was in the hallways, going back-and-forth rooms packing up their suitcases in the hallways and there was several times people had touched our door making noise. Second thing that happened was we had a knock on our door even with the do not disturb sign and it was the front desk saying that they had alarms going off and they had asked us if we were smoking in the room and they needed to check the room I don’t feel appreciated staying here and being accused of smoking in the rooms when I am a non-smoker. Secondly, around 10 1030 the housekeeping was on our floor and I heard multiple knocks on our door and I stuck my head out and asked the housekeeping if they had knocked on her door and she said no, but I know that it was them because they wanted us to leave so they can clean the room checkout is not until 11.

The vandalism was caught on a neighboring camera but hotel not covering the damage. 3 other vehicles were vandalized the same night in the same lot. Get it together and stand up for your customers!!

Family Weekend in KC

We were in town meeting up with 2 of our kids for the weekend who attend Rockhurst and KU. We met in KC to see Nate Bargatze perform at The T-Mobile Center. The location of this hotel was perfect. We were able to take a short walk and get on the Main Street street car and ride it to the Power and Light District and also, Union Station. From those stops, we were able to walk just about anywhere. Because of the traffic and parking prices, we chose to walk to and from the T-Mobile Center and avoid all the after performance chaos. Our hotel room accommodated 5 adults with 2 queen beds and a pull-out. Don't expect a plush pull-out mattress ;) But that's never the case with a pull-out and we just needed a 5th sleeping spot. Other than that, it was plenty of space and comfort for everyone. I used the fitness center both mornings...clean, spacious, not crowded at all, and all the amenities I needed for my workouts. We ate breakfast on Saturday morning and it was delicious, something for everyone. It was quiet, but bright and cheery. We had happy hour in the bar Friday evening, and I spent some time in the lobby catching up on some work and it was a vibrant and comfortable space to set up. We could not be happier with our stay and will book at this Holiday Inn property again!!

A perfect place to stay downtown KCMO

Holiday Inn downtown Kansas City met every expectation for a great stay! Visited to go to a concert at T-Mobile, we were able to walk to the T-Mobile center, didn’t feel that it was sketchy at all, got there in about 12-14 minutes. I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay downtown, Would be the spot here! The staff were friendly, check-in was easy, overall experience, five stars all the way! This will indeed be my go to hotel anytime I’m in town Kansas City, Missouri.

I also had an opportunity to speak with a rep from the front desk named Isaac, he was extremely helpful and courteous, and showed much empathy on the situation with the mixup of billing. He was an outstanding staff member and I highly accommodate him for such great service! Thank you, Isaac! Its employees like you that represent such great customer service!

For $300 a night a view of the roof with birds was disappointing. All Holiday Inns I have stayed at had continental breakfasts and free drinks in the evening, this one did not. The staff was not very friendly. Only one person during check in, there were 5 of us waiting to check in. The room was spectacular, very pleased. $25 to park was a bit rediculous when we had already paid a high price for the night. They also charged my card prior to us getting there, I had wanted to put it on another card but they charged it already.

From the moment we walked in until we left everything was super clean. It smelled really nice. They had ice fruit water. It was really wonderful cause it was very hot out 93° and we went for the Matt Rife concert so very easy to get to anything you wanted to go to we were headed towards the T-Mobile center. We Uber and it wasn’t very expensive and it was a very nice hotel and the breakfast is good

I was in town for royals game and needed somewhere close to the bus station and I'm sooooo grateful this place turned out AMAZING!! I know KC and some hotels can be a bit...less than desirable but this was not one of them. Would 100% stay again. The young lady and gentlemen who let me in even after 10 were both wonderful and I really liked their vibe. I booked this hotel vs Holiday inn Express up the street like we were wanting by accident. The staff was very nice and encouraged us to stay with them by upgrading our room and offering free breakfast vouchers at no additional cost to us. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean, but the rooms smelled musty/damp. Again, staff was excellent!
