Modern rooms and lobby. Perfect spot for Power & Light district and easy parking lots. Fabulous bars and nightspots in walking and safe area. Breakfast looked good but went quick with the volleyball families in town. Starbucks is in the lobby with yummy coffees and breakfast too. A total bonus! Staff was the best, from check in to helping me with a lost jacket. Tyler was awesome and I witnessed he and his team were great with every guest.

Most disgusting place I’ve ever booked. Blood stains on ALL the pillows, sheets, comforter. Everything. The “manager” works a few hours a day maybe and is the least helpful person in all of Kansas City. They still charged me for all 4 nights even though I checked out early. Nickel and diming people because I’m sure they’ll go under eventually. There were 2 nice and helpful front desk reps. They both deserve a better place to work. Housekeeping is a JOKE but not the funny kind. The owners of this property would be ashamed unless they’re the slumlord type. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE and Definitely NOT CLEAN.

I would rate to stay as far below average. The cleanliness of the hotel was absolutely terrible, especially the rooms. We had problems with the rooms, not being ready until late on the evening that we checked in. We were promised that we could get a room credit by calling Hotels.com. You cannot talk to anybody at hotels.com and the recordings do not ever accommodate a situation like ours. We asked for the room to be cleaned. It was not cleaned. We responded to text messages asking how our day was. No response to the problems that we had. We stayed here two years ago and had a good experience, but will take our business elsewhere next time because of the poor quality and treatment. Happy to discuss my experience more in person if anybody will take the time to call.

My room was not ready when it was promised. I had to wait in the lobby until 5:00pm for my room to be ready and missed part of my conference (couldn’t change clothes and freshen up after traveling). On another day, I was locked out of my room all afternoon because they keypad ran out of battery and I got stuck at the conference for 12 hours because I had no where else to go. Staff was friendly, but the hotel’s main job was for me to have a reliable place to stay and it didn’t accomplish that. The street noise is also really loud, beds are the most uncomfortable ever, and it was hard to sleep.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and professional. However, I wasn't able to check in until 5:30 p.m. (despite a 3:00 p.m. request) due to internal issues. While I understand things happen, there was no offer to adjust the rate for the lost time, which was disappointing given the high price point. Additionally, the property felt poorly maintained—there was visible trash and the front door was shattered. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like a good value for the money.

Other than the hiccup at check in the hotel was ok. We had to get a new remote and we booked a king bed but a double queen/full instead and let me tell you…. The beds were not comfortable at all. However, we booked the hotel for the proximity to the trolley and Union Station so that was a huge plus for our trip

Pros - hotel is updated and clean; convenient location with a restaurants and grocery store nearby; the tram/bus is right out front.

Con - noisy/poor sound proofing from outside, we heard the from the tram outside our window every 20/30 mins and all the other noises from outside. For breakfast, one morning where they were running behind and still setting up at 6am so not all the breakfast items were available. Typical breakfast options.

The lady doing breakfast yelled at people for making a mess with the eggs because a few got on the counter. She screamed at people for being “coffee drinkers and they’re the worst”. One person at the desk and a line at 3p. Not unexpected at check in time on a Saturday afternoon. Sluggish, but reasonably efficient.

Seemed to have some problem with housekeeping that required interaction with staff; inbound phone calls that were distracting to and slowed the registration process.

Room is nice, modern. The layout and fixtures are purposeful and cool.

Way overpriced for the quality! Common areas needed to be cleaned better. Waited over an hour for room to be ready (after 4 p). We asked for sheets to make up the couch bed 5 x!! We finally got the sheets 6 hours after the first request! Additionally, the bathroom light didn’t work and the shower was the worst.

Never again. We made a reservation months ago and on the reservation, we stated the type of room that we wanted and we submitted a few requests. We also provided our Hilton Honors diamond membership information. We never received a response from the hotel or nobody on that so when we got to the hotel, the room that they gave us was dirty the shower nasty, the drawers were so nasty that we couldn’t put my clothes in it and wasn’t what we requested. The third day I requested the housekeeper to come and clean it and they did not. The person that came to the room, not only did not clean the room but She did not even took the trash. Even the bed was not properly fixed. And on our last night we had an altercation outside of the hotel actually a homeless attacked us while your front deck guy was inside, looking at everything and dis not offered any type of help. When the issue with this homeless ended, we went inside the hotel and he kept looking at us without doing anything not even asking us if we were fine or need anything not any type of support or help or anything he just looked at us like we were aliens. I have been a membership for many years and I always stayed in their hotels, but after this situation, I’m so disappointed that I’m not sure I’m going to continue using them. We spoke with the manager when we checked out and she promised that she was going to give us some points to have an extra night but nothing yet

When I arrived they stated they try to get ahold of me to change the room I booked from 2 queens to a king room
With a pull out couch,,,,since we had three women we agreed and they did offer free parking as well. The staff was not knowledgeable of restaurants near the hotel when we asked…but the accommodations worked. Way too much salty options for breakfasts and the staff had trouble keeping up with the demand since the hotel was so full.

The hotel was fine- when we checked in homeless people from the street were allowed in to use the free hot tea and coffee. They also had a major issue with the credit card machine. there was one lady working to check in a large amount of people checking in for a concert on a sunday night. The credit card machine would not read cards and she asked everyone ahead of us to use another card when it was our turn i said no as I only have one card- so that needs fixed. it is added stress to everyone checking in thinking their cards don't work and I didn't like that. Wifes were calling husbands asking them to come to the desk with another for or payment etc. Also the breakfast - the lady working that was rude and they did not have enough food for the amount of guests we ate then had to go buy a breakfast

Comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of towels, nice personal hygiene items like shower soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. Balcony was wonderful, though I did not use a lot due to cold snap. Appreciated having a mini fridge, until it froze the food I put in it. The temperature control was not set too high, but I ended up with cucumbers and leftover chicken frozen solid. Cheap coffeemaker with cheap filtered pods made tasteless coffee. Shower head was a tiny adjustable one, set up so high on the shower wall that I had to stack towels to reach it to adjust. Barely had any water pressure, no matter what setting I tried. Desk chair sat too low for height of desk, would have helped if it were adjustable. Overall a good spot, but fixing the shower issue especially would upgrade the experience.

Very disappointed that the room was not cleaned the second day - garbage not emptied, no fresh towels, floor not done. Don't know why we paid this rate for no service for the room. Also the \"fitted\" sheets did not fit the mattress, so they all end up in a bunch on the bed. Not too comfortable. the rest of the property was clean and bright, the breakfast area great and the food OK. One of the staff, not the desk person who was fine, but a lady who seemed to be doing various items, was exceptionally nice, taking us outside to show us how to get around the construction to the parking lot, and getting us some needed plastic ware - she was great, but did not get her name. Our experience was OK, not great.

Our rooms bathroom closet and bathroom were a mess! There was sequins, lint, hair, dirty and dust all over the floor. As well as things the previous guest had left, so that is how I know it wasn’t cleaned. What’s even worse is they didn’t clean it when house keeping came daily. I asked for extra towels and it was like they were coming out of the staffs paychecks. We were staying multiple nights and they gave us one body towel each. I also had to beg for extra toilet paper, tissues and they didn’t even give me a blanket for the pull out couch just two more sheets. The toilet paper roll was almost completely out when we arrived and so we’re all out shower things and the hand soap. And again they didn’t give us anymore even when I asked. Staff was 50/50 if they were nice or had a bad attitude. There is massive construction happening right against the hotel so if you are sensitive to noise be warned. The only good thing about this place is that it is on the KC street car line (but again if you are sensitive to noise be warned, we could hear the bell on the 6th floor) and that there was a Starbucks inside. Parking is diagonal behind the hotel and I did only see security walk around once. Thank god nothing happened to our car after reading other reviews, that is what I was most worried about but crazy enough was actually the least of our issues. I think the area only felt safe since we were there for an event with 60k other people mostly women, so they were walking around all hours

Check in was quick and room was nice, however, our room was on a high floor (7) and at the end of the hall and was not serviced once for a 3 night stay. Reported a toilet leak so that was fixed while we were out and our hand towels and trash were left in the hallway all night and the whole next day. On day 3, Housekeeping stopped by at 4 pm while we were getting dressed for a wedding…. I told her we needed about 10 minutes and she never came back. We saw her jumping on the trolley at 4:15. Room was very noisy (not much sound proofing) and breakfast was very basic. Would not stay here again.
