Stay was nice, property was cute and smelled good. The room was spacious and well designed. Beds were comfortable and water pressure in the bathroom was nice. The bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner though there were hairs and other debris in the shower before we used it and parking was not the best but I would stay at this location again.

staff told me that I had a room credit that could be used for food and beverages. upon check out, i had not been comped the credit that i was told i had by front desk staff. i later called the property and talked to the manager and told her that her staff said I had a credit for my room but had not been credited. although the mistake was on her end, she was only willing to reverse 1 $30 charge, though I had charged $90 total. completely unacceptable. thankfully i called my credit card and got all charges reversed (;

Fantastic staff that appeared to actually like if not love each other. Added to the charm of this part of America that loves BBq, my least favorite food in the world. The hotel bar had the best soup and salad that I had in town. It was made onsite in a small kitchen with an even smaller, yet surprisingly welcome bar. Everyone felt like new friends for a one time awesome occasion

Overall good for a quaint boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Close to restaurants but not in the middle of Westport. Outside of the building does not exactly match the pictures, maybe several years ago and parking is a bit sketchy. Floor was dusty/dirty with someone else’s hair and dander and the in-shower conditioner was empty. Luckily I bring my own but had to get out to retrieve from my bag. The staff by far made up for the rest though!

AC was broken in the first room when we checked in at 4pm. Front desk was reluctant to switch rooms saying they needed the room for other guests who hadn’t even arrived yet.

She wanted us to wait on maintenance to fix it a second time, while we were trying to leave for a concert.

Maintenance guy told us he knew the AC had a history of not working in that room and to call him before 10:30 if it went out again. (He didn’t actually fix it the first time).

Second room was nice, but the window shade only closed halfway by design. Street lights were right next to the window. Would not stay here again.

The front desk staff were very nice, and the room was comfortable and well furnished. The AC worked great. Unfortunately, we found out the heat worked great, also, because the hot water was warm at best and we were freezing after showering. Overall, though, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Staff was friendly, helpful. Room was clean and satisfactory. The first room we were in had a faulty wardrobe. It fell over onto my partner. We had a difficult time getting it to stand upright and be stable. We finally got it to sit still but when I called the front desk, their first comment was “we’ll give you a room upgrade.” No one asked if either of us was injured. The shelf also fell out on my partner and the safe fell on his feet. It concerned me that no one seemed concerned about our well-being. When I was telling my son, who is an attorney, about it, he said there should have been more concern shown for our safety.

The room was mostly clean - there were Bobby pins in the floor which was strange. My 2 chief complaints are that there are no curtains that aren’t sheer. The city lights were very bright overnight. The other complaint is that the shower never got hotter than lukewarm. Otherwise, the stay was standard.

The rooms are very dark, the wall are incredibly thin. My child got to experience things a child should not have to listen to all night long. Housekeeping was knocking on doors at 6:45 in the morning, waking everyone up not only in the room you were in but in every room on the floor. There are better options in the area.

I enjoyed my stay here. The hospitality was incredible. I have to say when they mentioned breakfast was available I assumed it would be your typical frozen eggs heated but Kevin was amazing. You can taste the hospitality on the food. Megan the GM was amazing as well. I ended up staying here for new years and both Kevin and Megan made it feel like home!

When checking in Keva at the front desk was great and very accomodating. Everyone of the staff members that I encountered was nice, friendly and a joy to run into. The room was clean and cozy. I thought staying at a hotel next to the bar it was going to be to nosy, but not at all. The only only thing I wished they had was a coffee pot in the room. But nonetheless I will recommend I will definitely stay there again.

They moved our room and now cards work. Next day key cards do not work again. Very annoying. Came back Saturday night late. There were no parking spots--all taken by busy restaurant/bar next door.

There was no parking on Saturday when we got back at 10:30 pm. Zero. We ended up on the street a few blocks away. Staff was nice but unhelpful.

Wine selection in bar was poor and not those listed on menu. No phone or clock in room. No coffee in room. No body wash in shower. No bar soap or facial cleanser pads. All lighting was attractive but poor especially over vanity. Four pillows and all so large you couldn't sleep on them. Door to room stuck & hard to open. Great shower!! Liked the location and parking but won't stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I had never stayed in this area of KC before so was a little nervous, but the hotel felt very safe. I am incredibly cautious so probably wouldn't walk at night, BUT, it is walkable if you want to check out the bars, shops, and restaurants down the block. Right next door is a burger restaurant. Parking was maybe the easiest parking I have ever experienced. The hotel was clean and cute! Room and bed were very comfortable and clean.

Our room had 3 areas with hangers in it. I know this is a weird complaint and but walking in it made it feel unorganized, chaotic and questioning how (if) it had been cleaned.
There was an area by the iron which had several hangers. Across the \"hall\" there were another 4 or 5 hangers not very nearly hanging from some hooks on the wall. And there cherry on top was that there was a hanger hanging from the top of a framed picture on the wall.
I took a few pictures but don't see anywhere here to upload. It just left me with questions.

Also the wallpaper in the bathroom was dark blue and there were whole toothpaste spit spots on it and that's gross.

Great location, but if you get a room facing the bar next door don't expect to sleep through the night. You could hear music, bass, and people talking all night. The rooms are also dark, there isn't good lighting. One of the elevators are broken, and you're stuck waiting forever for the other one.

As soon as we got to our room the first day the floor was dirty we had to have them sweep it. Then we told them the refrigerator wasn't working they didn't do anything. The toilet wouldn't flush properly so in the second day they switched us rooms. The phone didn't work and they said the owner knew and was ok with it . Several floors the phones don't work and the owner said everyone has cell phones so it don't matter. We ordered food from the restaurant and they didn't have half the stuff for what we wanted so we settled for the bare minimum. On top of that we was told 20 minutes and our food would be ready and we waited over an hour. I paid almost $400 for 2 nights and then stay was absolutely horrible. We will never ever book with them again!

The hotel had ok facilities and service and an excellent location. Within walkable distance, there were many dining options and grocery stores. However, the building itself had a noise problem. Air conditioning water dripped continuously dropped on the outside part of window stool loudly. We requested to change room after the first night to find that the second room had the same noise problem. I'm surprised that no previous review mentioned this.

Nice, cute, clean hotel in a great location with free parking! A cheap Uber to our concert at Uptown Theatre. We did not have breakfast but it smelled good. For the price I was very impressed. Two things that could improve was the lady at check-in was very put out with us and the sweet couple behind us. We were also woke up twice starting at 8:00am with housekeeping knocking on and trying to open our door to clean which was frustrating.

Plenty of parking, check in was smooth and easy. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Loved the decor and vibe. We didn’t hear much outside noise until morning. We were woke up at 8am with the cleaning crew. They apologized, but once I’m awake I don’t go back to sleep so that was frustrating. Overall we give it 8.5/10

Hotel overall was okay. Front desk team definitely did not have that Midwest hospitality that I’m use too. Our room faced Westport road and all we could hear all night was loud traffic. Most of this was coming through the AC window unit. Plenty of other hotels that offer better sleep for similar value.

We loved our 2 night stay here. It’s an easy walk to a bunch of stuff to do in Westport. We saw a concert at the warehouse on Broadway and were able to walk there and back without any trouble. The hotel is very clean, the room was spacious and comfortable, the decor had a good vibe. We know we had some loud kids next door to us.. but could never hear them while inside our room, so it must be well insulated! The shower was hot and had good pressure. We will be back to stay again!

We had to switch rooms to a king because they tried giving us a room with two queens, our curtains didn’t work (automatic) so we had to see out our entire trip, and there was no to limited parking at all times. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.
