There was no soap in the bathroom and there isn't even an ice machine in the entire building. The staff was Inattentive and rude and I didn’t feel like they cared if I used that facility or not. The bed was clean and comfortable and the kitchen had a microwave and fridge but that’s it. You can definately stay there and it's decent, but bring your own soap and shampoo and fill the ice cube trays in the fridge as soon as you arrive because they don't bother to fill them when they clean the room ahead of your booking. No toaster or coffee pots provided. Air conditioning was adequate but I was disappointed in this facility.

If you're not a fan of the smell of weed, you'll probably not be too happy here. Everywhere smells like weed. I didn't care that much because I was gone 14 hours a day, but a family with kids might care. The staff is nice. I won't publicly name three outstanding staff, but K and B are just the best people. You know who you are, and thank you for being a bright spot at the end of the end. The air conditioner was broken in my room. To their credit, a maintenance person was up to have a look at it within 5 minutes, and he was super nice. Unfortunately, there was no means to rectify the situation. The property was sold out. I couldn't be moved to another room, and there was no option to swipe and swap an air conditioner from another room. I just had to deal with it. I slept about 45 minutes that night. I was told that I could get my bill at check out and contact Choice Hotels to see if they would compensate me with points or a discount. No dice. I was told that because I paid through Expedia, my issue was with Expedia and there is nothing they could do at the property. So, Expedia, what are you going to do? I paid for a room with air conditioning and got a hot room at full price. I'm not counting on any response, but at least I get to see if they publish my actual review.

WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Mission is definitely a very basic hotel without the amenities of most hotels. But it's perfect if you're just looking for a comfy bed, kitchenette, and a shower. For those reasons, plus the wonderful staff and insanely great price, I would recommend this hotel.

My stay lasted a week or more, as I kept having to extend it, and included my two small dogs. We just needed a place to stay while I was in-between moves. My only requirements were that the hotel must be cheap and safe, allow two dogs, and have a decent rating. This fit the bill perfectly. The only thing that would have made it better would have been curtains over the blinds instead of just blinds.

I would recommend this hotel for the budget conscious or those coming to Kansas City for work who just need a comfy place to sleep and nothing more.

The hotel was terrible, the staff was terrible, and music started playing at night, but I couldn't do anything because I didn't understand which room it was playing in. I was told to call the reception in such cases. The situation repeated itself, at 5:24 a.m. the music started playing again, I tried to contact the staff, no one answered me. If you are looking for a quiet place, I do not recommend it, you will not sleep here.

Room had a loud dripping noise coming from the bathroom ceiling vent all night, and the bathroom door would not close all the way to isolate it. My keycard didn't work the first time and I had to get it reprogrammed. I had no instructions given to me as to how to check out, and there was no drop box or the like for my keycards when I left before staff was there in the morning.

The property is run down. The shower head was awful, the light to the stove hood was broken, the lighting is horrible, they're either all on or all off, the property smells horrible in the elevator, the hallways and the room. There are trains nearby. The facility is used by a company so at 6 pm the property is inundated with workers tracking in mud from their boots so the property is never clean. I can't believe Woodbridge Suites has their name on this property. I've stayed at several of their properties and have never encountered such conditions

I got to my room and found a mattress with a rubber cover and no sheets. There was a little blanket tossed on the bed along with what looked like some drapes or something, and a couple towels. In the bathroom, there was absolutely no toilet paper, but there was somebody's wet washcloth laying in the middle of the bathroom floor. By the time I got back to the front desk, it was shut down and the clerk had gone home for the night. While I was deciding my next steps, another fine guest was nice enough to run down the hall and beat on all of the doors. Rather than roll around in somebody's hepatitis., I slept in my truck. I was back on the road before the front desk opened up, so I have no idea how this mystery ends.. Not the best money i've ever spent.

The kid at the front desk was very professional and very nice. If nothing else, he deserves better.

Elevator was dirty and needed to be vacuumed and mopped . Check in person was very nice check out person only responded to check out with alright. Not a thank you or have a good day. Like her job is to take keys only. There was no none else but me. Elevator was very dirt and dry shushing ( second time i used them and both same way ) window blinds does not block light so it’s hard to sleep after sunrise . Floor is stick and needs to be mopping . Freezer starts making a very loud noise fir 30 minutes then stops and keep doing that , so kept waking me up .Other than that it is a great place to stay.

This hotel is super ghetto. Advertised a kitchenette, room had a stove but not a single pot, pan, or dish. Everything is “available for purchase” at the front desk. What a gimmick. Would have picked a different hotel if they advertised it correctly. Parking lot always full of people walking around. Felt really sketchy. If it was just a 1 night stay might be different. Booked 6 days cause the pictures looked nice… but it was not nice in person. Rooms smelled like mildew, you have to get towels from the front desk, and the fridge couldn’t get cold. All our food was soggy and bad by the 3rd day.

Checked out in morning no one in office till 2 to 3 hr later. Then discover once i went to office area could no longer get back in hotel as key no longer active. :(

The facility itself is great—very clean and in a secure location. However, the level of service we received was disappointing. The Wi-Fi code provided didn’t work, and when I tried to charge access to my room, it still wouldn’t connect. When I brought it to the front desk’s attention, the response was simply, “If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work,” with no effort to help resolve the issue.

I also asked for cookware for the full kitchen included in the hotel room, only to be told they don’t provide any. That completely defeated the purpose of booking this place, especially for a business stay where convenience matters.

To top it off, a staff member asked us to pick up a dropped sock and some trash in a tone that felt condescending and unnecessary.

If you’re traveling for business and expect basic amenities and respectful service, I’d recommend finding a place where your time and money are better appreciated.

Well, thank god that is over. WiFi hardly works, cook top with no cookware to use or borrow, beds that feel like they will collapse the moment you lay down, bugs crawling in the bathroom and kitchen area and please don’t get your hopes up that you might want to watch tv. Laundry on site with 1/5 washing machines working, police arresting other residents blocking the front entrance and families with small children still screaming and 1:00 am. Leaving felt like getting out of jail. Finally, I’m free!

The hotel was fine.. but their processes are bad. They asked me to write down my credit card and send them photos of the card front and back along with my driver's license. This is why we have such an issue with scammers. I am 100% sure this is not cool with Mastercard. I'm not going to write my information down and then give it to some $20 desk help at a random hotel for him to steal my information written on a piece of paper. Ridiculous and can not believe this is an actual accepted process

Disgusting-Unsafe-and the LOUDEST place anyone could even try to sleep at any hour. Animal urine all over the floor and crusted into the floor boards allll over!! I wanted to vomit. The floors were not even swept let alone mopped/disinfected and the odor was unbelievable and unbearable. The walls are falling apart. Crumbling. The doors to every room slammed every 30 seconds through the entire night and loud voices overlapped into the morning. I traveled alone with my pup for 16 hours then with a full reservation waited over 30 mins to get my key. I was there 10 hours then left that trash hole before 5am still unable to sleep at all!! The pics online were false. What I was charged was NOT as listed online. Hoax scam vomit how are you in business?? The worst hotel experience I’ve ever even come close to is right here! I wish I had the energy so take photos then but who can even function like that?

To be honest it was well below satisfactory the bed was old and very hard the pillows were Way too small I went to the front desk to ask for a couple more pillows and they said they don’t give out extra pillows. The shower water pressure was so low. I could barely wet myself. It was not a great experience at all. The TV system was not good either, hard to navigate the channels or how to figure that out I won’t be staying there again

We drove for 16 hours that day to get to Woodspring Suites. I called ahead to let them know we would be checking in around midnight. The representative made it sound like it was very easy to call at the check in desk & someone would come up front. Not the case. It was difficult to contact anyone. Then the person that came up requested an ID from 2 of the 4 of us, insisted on reading the smoking policy despite telling him none of us were smokers, and then charged a $100 deposit despite the room already being paid for online. Not at all a convenience nor pleasant experience.
