We came in for UC graduation, stayed here two years ago for graduation also. Hotel is great, staff is great. Needs some work, our room had a huge rip in the carpet in the main room, the bathroom floor was chipped and when getting off the elevator in the lobby a cockroach was running by

When we got to the hotel, we were greeted and checked in quickly. Once getting into the room, it was spacious and clean. Breakfast was nice and easy, since we came close to the ending of the breakfast time, there weren't many plates or silverware, but they quickly provided us with clean items.

Our stay here was amazing great location and rooms were big and clean. The only complaint was both days for breakfast a lot of the food was not restocked. Fresh fruit and yogurt was done by 830 and never refilled. Lots of empty dishes.

Arrived around 2pm attempted to check in and no rooms were available, which is understandable. The they assured rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 4pm. I arrive back at 8pm after the Reds game and my room still wasn't ready and to come back in 10 mins. Once I come back still not ready due to the Manager needs to do the room inspection. I eventually get to check in at 9pm which is unacceptable

Called ahead to confirm we were arriving late and needed a pack and play for our baby. Request was noted on original booking, listed as an available item and messaged the hotel 1 week prior. Arrived well after midnight not only was there no pack and play in the room as promised when called earlier in the day they did not have any in the hotel. Or as I was so considerately told at 1am “that’s a negative on the pack and play” when I asked what I was supposed to do with my infant son was told place some pillows around he’ll be good. What we did find in the room where stains and torn carpet, someone’s old pretzels on the floor, dirty sink and couch, broken heating/cooling system and a nasty smell . It was so late we all went to bed after my husband returned to the now parked car to retrieve our pack and play under all the weeks luggage. In the morning whenI asked for a man was told that they weren’t working the weekend. I also tried to get my parking validated as I was told the night before that sis Che we weren’t there long enough they didn’t do that. I had to pay the $12 fee. When I returned to pay it was $20 for under 12 hours when it says free parking as an amenity as well. We will not be returning and I plan on contacting corporate. That room was awful!!!

The breakfast was good staff was nice the reason i gave a 3 star is because when i first got there to check in i had to wait an hour for my room but Brian at the front desk compt my parking so kudos to him!Another reason for the 3 star was the tipping i get it you tip if your service it great NOT the other way around i noticed if you didnt tip your service sucked last be careful of the police around the hotel they are the worst and was not kind to me a black woman just throwing that out there.

The front desk staff could definitely benefit from additional customer service training. While some interactions were fine, one particular staff member—an older woman working the front desk—was consistently unpleasant and took away from the overall experience.

On a positive note, the food options were a highlight. The availability of a buffet was convenient and appreciated, and the manager seemed to make an effort to maintain consistency in that area.

Unfortunately, the service at the front desk overshadowed the positives.

I initially had a good impression of the front desk staff, as most of them were very friendly and welcoming. However, there was one staff member during the day who was quite rude, which took away from the experience.

The biggest issue was the room itself—it had a very strong, unpleasant odor, similar to mold or cat urine. Even after using Lysol and bleach, we couldn’t get rid of the smell, which made the stay uncomfortable.

Additionally, staff would randomly knock on the door to ask what time we planned to check out. This felt intrusive and disrupted our stay.

To make matters worse, the pool was out of service, and we were never informed ahead of time.

Overall, due to these issues, I would not choose to stay at this location again.

The breakfast was great. A lot to choose from and a beautiful view of the Ohio River and Cincinnati. The staff went above and beyond. They were very friendly. We will definitely stay there again.

The lobby is gorgeous, including the front desk, bar and breakfast area, view of the Ohio River is perfect. however the room was stinky and no amount of freshener or AC could improve the smell. it smelled of cat urine, unfortunately and mildew from the bathroom. the lobby smelled great, so I was hopeful. decent sized pool, minimal towels available, difficult to get TP, etc.

We chose this hotel because of the swimming pool. We try to take our grandkids somewhere fun for spring break and thought this location looked great. Little did we know the pool was \"closed for maintenance\"! My youngest grandson, who is autistic, was miserable our entire stay.

A nice hotel in a beautiful location overlooking the water. Front desk staff was very, very nice and friendly. Parking situation is kind of confusing and it's expensive but once I figured it out it, didn't have any real issues with it.

The pool was closed the entire stay. I chose the hotel specifically for the pool and left with one very disappointed child, who had been talking about the pool for weeks leading up to our stay.

The rooms are nice but there are some signs of age. The toilet paper holder was loose in the wall and the hot water takes a long time to heat up.

I would probably stay here again but I would check to see if the pool would be open and if not, would more than likely stay elsewhere.

They put us in a room under the exhaust fan for the hotel. Ran all night didn’t sleep. We did get a different room the next day, but that also was an ordeal.The drain in tub was clogged with nasty hair. Had to have maintenance come clean. The new room carpet was nasty. Breakfast was good. Not all staff members were friendly nor polite. I was not happy with my experience at this hotel. We do stay at the Embassy Suite’s and usually enjoy our stay. This one I will not go back to.

Phones didn't work in the room, so you had to go down to the lobby to get anything handled. Staff was generally friendly. Pool was small but decent. Happy hour was a nice bonus. Breakfast was good but way too crowded so we basically only went once. It's like they needed a better system or signage to help people move through it.

The check in process was terrible there was a line of people. Only one worker and almost everytime a new person checked in he had to run to see if the room was ready. This made it a very frustrating process. If check in is 4 pm why would there only be one person taking on an influx of people? Keonte at the bar was the high light of our stay. Very funny laid back guy. He handled the rude people well. While his bar partner Mark wandered around talking and not helping make drinks one bit. Also the omlets are to die for!

Our room was dirty when we got in. Dirty towels, sheets, trash still in the bins. Hair balls in the bathroom. It was clear someone had JUST showered and then checked out right beforehand. It was a busy weekend, there was some sort of cheer or dance event happening so we wanted to be understanding. However when we reported this to front desk, there was zero urgency or care to fix the problem. “We don’t have any other rooms” is what we were told. No apologies or suggestions for remedy from front desk. I believe the man’s name was Brian. The one housekeeper for the entire hotel (it seemed) was apologetic and offered to help clean it. However he only brought the wrong size sheets and some towels - the room still was not cleaned or disinfected. My kids had to sleep on the bare mattress because when j called to get sheets, no one would answer the front desk. Thankfully we were compensated for our troubles at checkout, which I appreciate! However it was still gross and inconvenient for an over $200 stay.

Horrible stay! The tub didn’t drain, water started collecting when I took a shower. The AC didn’t work we had it on 60 degrees and still felt the heat, plus the next day it was 87 degrees outside which made the room feel stuffy. The soaps were not filled day one, nothing in the room for tea or coffee. Room service came to clean the room and didn’t fill the soap. I will never stay at this location in Covington. It felt like I was at an extended motel 6. The only reason I would give them another star would be the reception who checks people in. They make you feel like you’re about to enjoy your stay but you realize you gotten catfished when you get to the room. I should have known it was bad when there were no elevators from the parking garage to the lobby.

Check in was terrible. We were there 90 minutes AFTER our scheduled check-in time of 4:00 and still had to wait 30 for a room to be cleaned and available. The attitude of the staff towards us was awful. They acted like we were in the wrong for wanting to check in and just kept giving the excuse of lots of late check-outs. Perhaps they shouldn’t allow so many late check outs if they know they have bookings coming in. I will never stay there again and would advise others to stay somewhere else.

Very disappointed in our stay at this hotel. We checked in late (around 10:30 pm), tired after going to a show and dinner. Got our key, went to the 8th floor for our room, and our key didn’t work. Back down to the desk. Front desk staff said they’d come up with us to make sure it worked. It didn’t, again, and neither did their master key. They had us stand in the hallway (outside someone’s room) for nearly 45 minutes while they figured it out-meanwhile, we didn’t know if we were going to get a room as I heard them say they were completely full. Several times we saw the “big boss” come up to check the electrical box on the floor and he never acknowledged us or apologized. After about 30 minutes we saw the maintenance man and front desk staff carrying sheets and towels into a room and then they came back about 15 minutes later to tell us they had a room for us. It was 11;30 before we got into a room. Hotel room as generally run down. Silverwear at breakfast was dirty. Banisters missing railings. Would not recommend.

Evening reception with free drinks and snacks is a nice added bonus. Friendly staff. Made to order omelettes at breakfast are yummy. Excellent location with easily walkable area to waterfront, restaurants, and events in Covington and Cincinnati. Fitness center had everything I needed for cardio and weights as well as towels and water. Easy parking in garage was $12/night during the week.

Upon arrival, even though my name was on the room, i was told they gave that room to another guest due to “hilton honors” & that i don’t have priority to it. My thought is when someone is a paying guest, the person whose name that room is under should get it but i guess that’s not the case here. I waited close to 2 hours before they went to find me another for my friends and i to stay in. People who came from out of town to be there for a birthday celebration were fearful we weren’t gonna get a room. I thought it was unprofessional telling a guest that they were not a priority just because they got the hotel through a third party app. all they offered me in the end was a small credit to the bar, no refund to the room for my troubles or any other kind of refund say for like the parking. The hotel itself was not bad, decent place but since dealing with the room issues, it’s safe to say will never be staying there again!

My family and my sister in law family came from South Korea stayed two nights at this Hotel and had worst experienced in my life. First we open the room, we found three big black roaches dead and all most dead showing belle and lightly moving legs. We picked two roaches with toilet papers and throw in toilet and one found under the sink cabinet, we took picture, just showing front desk. Hotel changed one room, but two rooms still had bad sink or chemical smell all over. My sister found small live roach in bathroom and killed right away next morning, we couldn’t unpack the luggage two days while we stayed this hotel and we have to clean all our clothes before entering our home. Hotel didn’t changed rooms even we talked about this issue. Next day, we went to swimming and try to take shower, water had cut off entire hotel for four five hours without telling us anything. We have to dry out without take shower. We called front desk and find out water was cut off entire hotel without telling us anything before. Same day, we received phone call from hotel manager Noah while we were in Kentucky Kingdom and he was mad and told us come back hotel right away due to my dog is barks and told me, I didn’t register my dog. I have to drove one and half hours to come back early and left theme park early (spend nearly $400) and cancel my dinner plan. When I checked in this hotel, assistance manager Chris was helping me and assigned rooms and he knows roach problem and he knows I had a dog

Room smelled slightly of cat urine (they do allow dogs). Other guests were very loud at night (10pm-12:30am) yelling in the halls. Staff did not seem to care. Housekeeping never came in to clean while we were out the second day even though we informed them it was ok to and we needed towels etc. Night staff said we could check out an hour late at noon. When I confirmed in the morning they said no we had to be out at 11am. I explained to them what nights said and they said it didn't matter. I definitely would not stay there again.

Didn't like where we had to pay for parking, cost atleast 100 for just 2 nights stay. Our shower had to be fixed, no hot water, My sisters room, Shower was putting out hot and cold water, off and on, They came back from Bengals game, shower was tore apart, Had to call them, gave Sister 8th floor room, She has a bad knee and cast from surgery on wrist. Could've been better, really not liking the paying for parking.

The views from the room were spectacular!

Breakfast was a little hectic…..the food ran out several times. The chefs making omelets were superb.

The 2 room suite appearance was a disappointment considering we paid a lot of money for it….everything looked very worn….the sheets had staining, the couch had a hole, the faux leather ottoman was shedding….
It seems like the hotel just needs an overall upgrade.
