My room wasn’t clean but then they let me check in. The toilet had been used and was very dirty. The taxi driver they got for me robbed me charged my card 530 lira yet they had agreed on 400. He refused to give me back my money and drove away

i will Always stay in Buyuk Keban

I don't think I can stay in any hotel in Istanbul than Buyuk Keban, the metainance of the hotel when I was there in 2014 is still the same. The Receptionist and Concierge are always ready to help you. Neighbourhood is safe you can walk anytime at Night. The main reason why I liked Buyuk Keban is because of the Neatness and the Environment no odour like most hotel in Istanbul if is not 4 or 5 Star.

Perfect for a family

I loved everything about this hotel. If you are traveling with 2 kids like us, it was perfect. One bedroom with twin beds for the kids and a separate bedroom with a queen bed for a couple. Quite street in a safe area.

Happy with hotel

Staff service was always friendly and helpful. We arrived on an early morning flight, and although we were 6 hours earlier than check-in time they gave us the room we wanted and invited us to have breakfast. Rooms are small but adequate. The daily mopping of the room floor (uncarpeted) could have been better, otherwise the room was cleaned and towels changed daily.
We enjoyed the salads and breads breakfast. Location is only 15 min walk from an easy Metro ride from the airport, and virtually on the tram route through the old town. We have used this hotel before, and would stay there again.

Average hotel close to the old city

It is a small hotel , good value for money. Some rooms are very noisy but i changed mine to a much quieter one. Breakfast is average. Staff are far away from the best .

Hotel Buyuk Keban was a very clean and modern hotel. The rooms were decent sized. The breakfast was decent offering an assortment of items including scrambled eggs and pancakes which is rare in Europe. The hotel is located within a 10-15 min walk to the bazaar and Metro that will bring you to/from the IST airport. The major mosques/palace are within a 30 min walk or 4 tram stops away (which is located at the bottom of the hill, maybe 5 mins). Overall the stay was enjoyable.

Good location for a hotel, very near Sultanamet.

Small rooms but well cleaned everyday. Some guests were a bit noisy during our stay and doors were keep shutting and opening every now and again till past midnight. I just wish people should observe silence after at least 10:30 pm. Most of occupants go out during the day to see many attractions so a bit courtesy is appreciated.
Breakfast is also very well served, but I wish the staff would smile a bit and greet their customers. It Would be really nice if someone says \"good morning\" and will be replied back.
It would be nice if the \"No Smoking\" policy will be respected, our room was near the exit stairs and it seems some occupants or staff goes to smoke there, the smell of the smoke comes to our room thru the door gap.
I really like the location of the hotel,thou not really near the main tourist attractions but a walking distance to the tram, metro stations..many surrounding restaurants.
Traffic, a bit chaotic thou, It seems there is no respect given to traffic lights, no enough parking. Noticed drivers just reversing anywhere and everywhere.
Too much cigarette butts on the streets,would have been nice if trash can be used and well provided.. And if staff or customers smokes by the door, the main door should be closed to ensure that other people who are in the lobby specially the children will at least be protected.
Overall, our stay was good..Istanbul is a very beautiful and vibrant city we hope to see it again sometime..

Nice & clean hotel close to tram station (Aksaray)

Easy check-in nice room but small, breakfast was good.The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is 7 min walking to aksray train stop , and from there is 3 mintues to grand bazar station and 4 mintues.to sultan Ahmed area, hotel close to every things, only the Air conditions was not cold for the last 2days because they have Central AC and they turn it off because of the City ordinance as their staff said.

Decent Hotel, nothing special

The hotel room was clean and the cleaners were brilliant, although they didn't communicate in English well. The location of the hotel was decent, next door to a masjid and very close to the Sehzade mosque. There was a massage chair on every floor (cost 1TL for 4 mins) which was quite nice. The tram station was a 5 minute walk away and served all the main attractions of the old city. The hotel itself is very basic and the spa was closed the two times I wanted to use it so that was quite dissapointing, the reason given was that the guy who runs it wasn't there. Overall it served as a decent cheap hotel which was a good base to visit Istanbul from, but nothing special.

great location and superior breakfast

it was really good and nice stay. the breakfast was great, the services and room cleanliness were awesome. the only things is the lifts, there were 2 small lifts and always one of them is not working and the other takes only 3 persons. there were always many people waiting the lifts or going by stairs sometimes because the capacity of the lifts is not compatible with the amount of people in the hotel.

Hannan, the manager, was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Hotel rooms were nice and clean. Great breakfast. Shower was amazing, didn't want to get out of it. It was in a good location, 5 minute walk to a tram and train. Single girls: there is a lot of hooting, hollering, uncomfortable stares, and impolite words thrown at you in the nearby streets.
Overall, we had a great stay.

Near shopping center and lots of nice&nice restura

The problem we had cost our family lots of money. The phone in the room did not work, we could' receive calls from abroad which force us to make expensive call ourselves out side the hotel. Our family from abroad had to call us on our mobiles this cost us and them lots of money. Other times had to calls to the reception in order to talk to us.

Ideal for people not spending time in hotels

It was ok if you do not intend to spend time in your hotel, only for sleeping and washing. Bathroom was leaking, staff were ok. Pick up from airport was very bad as they did not have our names displayed - caught the name of the hotel and that's how we managed to arrive. Last day they had not charged us fully for the pick up from the airport and demanded money! Breakfast was so. It was clean, but not under the beds. Staff would demand tips. Location was 3 miles from the blue mosque. Once again ideal for those who do not wish to spend time in hotel. No iron provided in room, but a pay as you go can be found in hall way. No kettle, but glasses and tea and auger are provided in the room.

Perfect location, safe, wonderful staff

This was my first trip to Istanbul and I can honestly say that Hotel Buyuk Keban made it such a memorable trip. The hotel is located in a safe area which was the number one concern for me and my friends. As a group of 3 girls, safety was very important to us. The staff was super helpful. From the moment we got to the hotel, Hanan took the time to sit down with us and explain the map of the old city and places to see, visit, stay away, eat, etc. He was phenomenal. Very helpful, as was everyone at the hotel. Breakfast was included in our stay and each day they had the best breakfast. Fresh and so much variety. We were very close to the tramvay which is helpful if you want to get around the city. Housekeeping every morning made it so nice and welcoming to come back to the room after a full day of sightseeing and exploring the city. When I go back to Istanbul, I WILL DEFINITELY STAY at HOTEL BUYUK KEBAN!

Short distance to all must see sights!

Entire hotel staff was very attentive and friendly. Upon arrival, the room air conditioner was making a noise and before we even set our bags down the repairman was literally at our door and made it right. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. If ever we have the opportunity to return to Istanbul, we will definitely return to Hotel Buyuk Keban!

The hotel is a little way from the main tourist areas in sultanahmet, but is close to the tram and metro or you can walk it in about 25 mins. The hotel was very clean with a good breakfast and in a quiet and safe location. The rooms are a little small and for some reason they still had the heating on in April so the room was quite hot. We did ask them to turn it off which they eventually did at the end of the stay. Staff are otherwise friendly and helpful.

We are very happy with the stay-- the staffs were very helpful--especially \"the orientation of the city\". It did help us to know more about the city before we started our adventure. The hotel is easy to locate and reach, just 10 minutes off the main street. Getting on the tram you can go to all must-see sights within short periods.I'm delighted to find out the Metro station is close by, it takes us directly to the airport within 30 minutes---avoided all the traffic problems. I love the breakfast. For sure I will suggest the other travellers to stay here.

BUYUK KEBAN the best

What I love most about this hotel is the cleanest, I booked for single room and is very comfortable and the staffs were great but the only problem is only 1 or 2 that speaks English. The breakfast is turkish, I think they should do more of English breakfast. I will stay in Buyuk Keban the next I'm in Istanbul. I will recommend this hotel for anyone going to Istanbul and is few minutes work to the market for anyone into business.

3-night family stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was abundant and the facilities were well-maintained. The hotel is situated about 4 tram stops (easy to use) from major tourist attractions. The ONLY negative for this hotel was it's proximity to a mosque which broadcast call to prayer at about 4am every morning. This may be hard to avoid in a city full of mosques. It was still worth the visit and stay!

We went to Istanbul for seven days, as a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children. We expected a family room but due to a pre booking were give a triple and a double room. However this suited us and on check in we were taken to our rooms, also helped with our luggage. Everyone at reception was extremely polite, and helpful, beyond their duty. Particularly Zainab, who went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. She also left anything she was doing to help us i.e directions, nice visiting place, pickup services etc. The hotel was very clean, beds made on arrival, very spacious and comfortable, especially the shower facilities were amazing. Breakfast is a lovely variety of salads, pancakes, biscuits, bread, yogurts. Not the usual English breakfast, but repetitive throughout the seven days but enough choice.
For us the hotel was in a convenient setting, as we were within half an hour to the port, grand bazaar, blue mosque, taxi stand and tram (dolmus) stop.
A gentleman at reception, sorry we dont know your name, ordered in pizza for us as we were very tired, this was not part of his duty but done as he was very polite.
The view from room 210 was of a quite side street onlooking a main road, the view from room 205 was of a roof top and the back of a some flats.

For a 3 star hotel it was really good clean and comfortable. The only down side was that I booked triple room I actually rang to make sure that they have 3 beds in the room they reassured me that they have 3 beds. When we arrived the room had 2 beds and sofa bed and they didn't change. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel ideally placed about 15mins from main Istanbul attractions. Breakfast good although a bit monotonous after a couple of days. Hotel staff very busy and seem to work long hours so they don't have much time for general chat. Hotel could benefit from a concierge service in this regard. Beware rooms close to lift shaft are very noisy; rooms on 6th floor next to lift power generator are extremely noisy! (You'll have difficulty sleeping through night as generator kicks in sporadically when lift is in use). Turkish bath available although expensive. Overall a nice, centrally placed hotel easy to access by tram.

Room-not working and very noisy air conditioner. Location very good-walking distance to Great Bazaar. 2-3 tram stopps to Blue Mosk, Hagia Sophia and Sultan's Palace.Breakfast SPECTACULAR!!! fruit, fresh basil (locals eat the whole plate of this) egss, cheeses, sausages, pancakes...superb even for European standard. Overall the hotel offers mixed bag of inconsistent service. If the air conditioner was quiet and work this would be 4-5 star.

The location is very near to Aksaray tram station i.e. 5-7mins walk, so most of the attractions on the Istanbul European side is very easy access by tram. Reaching airport through Aksaray metro station is easy too. Good service and friendly staffs. Dont expect too much for complimentary breakfast, but moderate. The only thing was the Air Conditioning which didn't work perfectly well, was very cold at night and during day time not that cold. But wasn't a major issue as at the beginning of June, temperature at night is around 15-17 degree C. So we turned the AC off and used natural cool breeze...

Nice hotel in a good central location, not far from most tourist attractions like grand bazaar, blue mosque, hagia sofia...Tram station near Laleli University - Very convinient as you are able to reach most relevant location like Galata Tower easily . We spent one week in the hotel as a family with baby. Hotel has a ramp at entrance, very handy for stroller or even wheelchair. There is actually not much to complain about the accommodation during our stay. Room was a bit too small but in very good shape and cleaned up on a daily base. New bed sheets every second day. Very comprehensive breakfast buffet, we missed nothing. Fruits, cereals, sausages, cheese, bread, scones, toast, coffee, juice - all fresh, day by day. Only negative point was the less friendly staff at reception during check out.

Explore the more authentic Istanbul

If you don't want to be just another tourist full of stores and stuff around, this is the place for you. You still can ride a bus and be in the center of the touristic zone in 20min (including the walk to the bus stop and the time it actually takes you to reach Taksim). Or take a traimway to the Haya Sophia and other attractions in 10min.
The bus stop and traimway are about 5 blocks from the hotel. Many places to buy water and simple things (at half the price than the touristic zones).
The staff is very friendly and helpful (according to turkish standars, so keep that in mind). I know turkish people are not the most friendly of all, compared to western culture, but you can still find very friendly and nice people. Like the reservation lady at the hotel, she's a sweetheart, and my wife and me we loved her. Even the administrator was very helpful to us.

It's clean, so that's one of the most important things. And I really enjoyed been in a neighborhood with more turkish ambient. The mesquite to the north of the hotel (3 blocks away) is so beautiful, even more to me than the other famous ones.

Ok for just overnight!

I transferred after the conclusion of a group to - was impressed by front desk the day before to get a feel of the hotel - surprisingly it was in the vicinity so was familiar with the area from a previous trip in 2011.

I had prepaid 4 days - starting on the 17th - then would transfer to the Taksim district Check-in went smoothly by knowledgable day staff (even after changing rooms - A/C issue) unpacked and explored the area. Returning early evening requested the night clerk to call at 7:30PM as I scheduled a guide to pick me up at 9:00PM for an evening tour of city. Fortunately I did doze off but awakened on my own, received Wake-Up call next morning!

The bathroom was so small had to close the door to get to the toilet - fluctuating water pressure in the sink and only one set of towels were provided.

Cozy, well located and fair service

The room was cleaned daily, but I my first night the toilet was really dirty. Someone had cut the sanitary tag and used the toilet. This was disgusting, otherwise for the rest of my 5 nights stay cleanliness was fine. Staff is polite and professional. Breakfast is sumptuous with good variety. The room is small enough to come back to and sleep and not to stay around and lounge. I was alone so it was big enough. I loved the fact that there was a blowdryer in the bathroom. The hotel staff provide a map of Istanbul and are really helpful in advising on touristic attraction and how to locate places. The hotel is location is a walking distance from Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, Blue mosque, Hagia Basilica and this is really convenient. The tram is a throw stone away and their are cabs 20m away. When I wanted to use the gym, I was told that the man with a key was not there. That was disappointing because I had selected the hotel for its gym facilities. I would recommend this hotel to friends and business colleagues. Not ideal for a' lounging in hotel' holiday, though.

This hotel has just been refurbished and the room is very nice (very nice bathroom). The staff is very helpful. The Wi-Fi in the hotel is very slow and you can only log in with one device at the time (e.g. either mobile or laptop). Breakfast is included in the price, but for the rest you need to pay (like the swimming pool and sauna).

We had booked a standard double bed for 3 nights at this hotel. Reception: The only person at the reception who could speak a bit of english was so unfriendly. Not courteous at all. Wouldn't bother offering help when you are looking for city tours, advice etc..He would direct us to a bunch of leaflets and say that is it. He makes a perfect example for how a hotel receptionist shouldn't be. He wouldn't even bother making an eye contact when speaking to us, kept staring at his computer monitor. We confirmed from the reception over phone if we could print our Hagia Sophia online entry tickets, they said yes and we went down after booking the ticket. We were told that the printer is broken and he couldn't do anything about it. He dint even bother telling us that there is an internet cafe near by and we could print from there. He wasn't even feeling apologetic for this. Hotel Facilities: It is mentioned that the hotel has spa, table tennis & pool tables. None of it was open when wanted to use it well before 8pm. We had to pay to use spa facilities like sauna and jacuzzi as well. Wrong room : In spite of confirming twice with the hotel prior to our arrival(which was a bit late in the evening) we were given a twin room. Had to go back to the reception and ask for a change which was a bit inconvenient.

We enjoyed our two nights in the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located for walking visits to the main attractions like the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, various mosques and the Grand Bazaar - all within easy walking distances. We have already recommended it to family members who will be travelling in the near future. We used the airport shuttle for transport to and from the hotel and airport.

infact i understand that room in istanbul hotels are small but i dont understand why they dont hire people speaks good english it so helping , i did not like the manger he was rude , air condition is so bad so dont you dare staying in this hotel in summer i like the location and staff breakfast was good my room was not comfortable small bed at the end i will not stay here a gain

Great Place!

This was my first time in Istanbul (along with my mother) from the United States. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I love how they have a breakfast buffet included with the stay. I was surprised at the amenities they have (although I did not have a chance to use all of them). Plus this is within walking distance of some of Istanbul's highlights, such as the Grand Bazaar. And there are taxis readily available in the vicinity. I highly recommend this place.

Hotel location is OK . /// it is very strange to keep travellers passports with reception at check in till check out (during full stay) !!! room access card sometimes not working! Air conditioning in room is not maintained well .. it was hot in my room !,elevator is very narrow and became out of service for an hour,resturant staff are not friendly and not speaking English!

I booked this hotel as last minute choice within reasonable budget and location. The location is really good but the hotel is average and hence is fine as a 3 star. The room was very small and the hotel refused to switch on the AC with the reason that the temperature outside was low (but it could get little hot in the room during the day). Also, the hotel charges for using the locker facility. This was really strange for me, However, the buffet B/F was reasonable (although it was same all the 4 days I was there) and the hotel staff was fine. Overall, I would still say that it was worth the money I paid.

Hotel Buyuk Keban - full of atmosphere

We spent two weeks here to explore Istanbul thoroughly and were the only Brits the whole time. A busy hotel full of Turks and Eastern Europeans on serious shopping trips, excellent for its location and real value for money. Room clean if small, always fresh towels, plenty of food in the buffet breakfast. Plenty of restaurants, shops, mosques, bazaars in the surrounding area with main tourist areas easy walking distance away. So easy booking and follow-up with Hotels.com. An excellent service, thank you.

The hotel is quite near to the tram to go to the sightseeing places. It is 5-10mins to walk to the tram and main street which has many shops and restaurants. Hotel is up slope so it is not easy for those who can't walk far.

I booked a twin room and a triple room for 4 nites. The triple room is small and gets tight after we open our luggage. The bath room is small, especially the toilet bowl area but I like the shower as i can sit on the step and shower. I am small so the shower room is alright to get in and out but for big size guests, it may be difficult. The room balcony is not accessible though the door can open. The doors are not sound proof as at 5.30am daily, the prayers from a mosque (loudhailer) can be heard.

I like the hot and cold water dispenser at the corridor and computers at the lobby. The breakfast is good as there are hot and cold food available. My husband stayed earlier at Bentley hotel which is much more expensive and it serves cold breakfast with a much smaller spread.

The lifts are small as mentioned by other reviewers. It takes 3 passengers but our family of 3 adults and 2 kids could get in.

There is a small provision shop on a back alley opposite the hotel that sells a mini water boiler for TL4 or US$2. It was useful in Athens. The owner was a friendly old man.

Great hotel at a budget

This hotel was so comfortable that I returned to the same property on the way out of Turkey. The location is great, although it is two tramway stops away from Sultanahmet but it is close to other attractions and in walking distance of Istanbul´s other attractions. I especially enjoyed this neighborhood because it felt authentic and I got a real sense of Istanbul´s residents rather than the overcrowded tourists areas.

Not really in 'the heart of Istanbul'

As we quickly realized, the bazaar-district and the Buyuk Keban hotel is more the outskirts of Istanbul than really center. For a central hotel, you should aim for Sultanahmet.

The neighbourghood is somewhat tacky, really not a place you want to hang out, shop or see anything. Thus the hotel was quickly reduced to being a place to sleep, nothing else.

The room was fairly clean, not fancy, but acceptable. The door and windows toward the street were loose, i.e. you could not shut them tight, resulting in a lot of street noise and being woken up at 5am, when the Muezzin started singing.

Breakfast was nothing fancy, however acceptable food. We did not use any of the hotel's other facilities. We did, though, inspect the spa, which looked very dirty and unappealing.

Service was average, but kind. Our biggest complaint, perhaps, was the \"wireless internet\", which was close to useless as a result of weak signal. I tried different spots in the hotel, lobby and stairways, and my Samsung cell-phone was never able to catch any connectivity. Our laptop did occasionally manage to catch a signal, but it would then drop so often, practically rendering the \"wireless\" useless.

I would not recommend the Buyuk Keban Hotel, as there seem to be many better located alternatives with similar or more features.

Not worth the money

The location of the hotel is good since it is close to the subway and close to the main attractions. However, it is also close to Istanbul's prostitution centers, which is legal by the way.

The room was so small that there was no space other than for sleeping. They turned off the AC although the weather was quite humid. No coffee maker, microwave, or alarm clock in the room.

The staff was nice and helpful.

The only issue is ENGLISH, only the reception staff at check in speak English. Great location to move around, all tram, metro is very close by. value for money is also there if your purpose is only to use the hotel to sleep in the night. There are no business ammenities if needed. Wireless internet is avaialble but keeps cuting on/Off;

Good price near Tram

We stayed for 6 nights in this hotel. It was a decent price, the bed was extremely comfortable and they provided an extra bed for our 2 year old. There was a great playground nearby that we took our child to every evening. It was a bit over a block away from the tram, but we often skipped the tram and walked down to the Haggia Sophia area where most of the sites are. If we walked the other direction we weren't far from a modern 4 or 5 story shopping mall. The staff were very friendly and even lent us a guide book while we were there. The buffet was larger than we expected but not much that was hot. It had soup, 2 kinds of cereal, a toast machine, french fries, hot dog sausages, cold cut meats, hard boiled eggs, feta cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a couple of other things. Plus tea, coffee, water and a cold lemon drink. It was fine the first few days but by the end of the week I was tired of it. We were the only native English speakers we saw that week, lots of Russians. The down side to the hotel was that it is an old facility. The bathrooms aren't ventilated well so there are mildew stains in places, and the hotel itself is kept very warm. But our room was very clean and had AC. If they would invest in a bit of remodeling in the bathrooms we wouldn't have anything to complain about.

Good hotel for its value

The hotel is clean, safe and 5 minutes walk from the nearest train station. The working staff wears serious looks on their faces but are helpful when needed. The hotel is located in an interesting part of Istanbul. The rooms are small and the breakfast is fair.

Compared to other hotels i stayed in this one
Has few thinks made my stay better
1location close to the center of Istanbul walking
Distance to Airport metro.
2. Bigger than other hotels they have bigger rooms
These are compared to istanbul hotels not US.
3. Good central aircondition
4. Breakfast buffe compared to same rate hotels
Better.
Now disadvantages
Very bad customer service
But this is usual in Turkey i got used to it
For the money you pay its not bad at all

Comfortable, convenient, friendly staff, good price

My room was very simple, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is located near a large, beautiful mosque, several convenient stores, and is a 5 minute walk from the main tram to the city center. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The checkout time isn't until noon and the breakfast was pretty good. Overall, for the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations as I have paid only slightly more to stay in hostels in Western Europe.

Excellent location -near must-see sights

Staff was helpful, friendly and very attentive. They addressed concerns as soon as I brought them to their attention. The location is within walking distance to most famous must-see sites. Hotel Buyuk Keban - Istanbul

This hotel was very good value for money. The rooms were clean and serviced daily and they have all the things you need for a place to stay for a few days - TV, Internet, Telephone etc. The location was convenient for visiting all the major attractions in the old city and the tram is a 5 minute walk away. Lots of reasonable resturants in the vicinity, but watch out for the coffee shop just up the road - it's a rip off! The price included a fairly substatial breakfast and there is a water cooler with cold and boiling water on each floor with an ice machine on every second floor for guests to use. A bit noisy at night, but this was more the fault of amorous guests than the hotel. We'd stay here again.

According to my father, who has been to Europe multiple times the hotel was excellent as far as non-luxury Hotels go over there. However, I have to say I have had nicer rooms at a Motel 6. The room itself was barely large enough to fit the two twin beds and few pieces of furniture. The Mini-fridge did not work, and the AC could not be counted on. The beds felt like upscale been bags. And instead of a sheet and a comforter there was a hybrid, almost like a comforter sewn between two sheets. The bathroom could not have been any smaller. The shower had a step inside of it, because it was too short for someone of average height to sit to take a bath. Also because the toilet was in between one side of the shower and the wall it is no exaggeration that it was smaller than an airplane bathroom. A few other qualms are that the walls are paper thin. From my room I could here everything in the hallway and each room on either side. Another issue is that it is built right in front of a mosque. It is hard to go to sleep before 11 or stay asleep after 5 because of the calls to prayer. However in Istanbul this is likely unavoidable, even at the Four Seasons. On the plus side the continental breakfast in the hotel is much more than cold cuts and bad cheese.
Some other things a travelers should be aware of is that most of the people staying at the hotel were Russian or Iranian. You are also five blocks from the nearest light rail station.

Hotel Buyuk Keban-Close to most sights

The hotel was very basic, but clean and easily accessible.There are taxis at your door step, but I would recommend you walk down to the main road and catch a tram to where you need to go. If you like walking then you can walk to Sultanhamet, the Grand Bazaar and Emininou (where you can get a ferry for the Bosphorous cruise) very easily. All in all the neighbourhood is good. Just be mindful of where your room is. Try to get one on the front side of the hotel if possible. The breakfast buffet is very basic, but bearable. All in all a good budget hotel. There is no kettele or iron in the rooms though!

The hotel was nice, rooms were clean but the front desk staff wasn't super helpful. Most of them had ok English but I even know enough Turkish to ask the questions that we need to know and they still weren't willing to give detailed answers. Not super close to the Blue Mosque or Aya Sofia but the walk is nice and there is a metro line not too far away so the location isn't a huge set back. Overall a pretty good choice.

Good value for price

The hotel is centrally located and fulfills every requirement you would have for the price you paid. It is a typical \"get in, sleep, get out\" resort, the ambience is not made for long stays within the hotel (small breakfast room, small lobby, rahter small room).
However, its been clean, safe and obliging... all you would need while being on a city trip

Das Frühstück im Hotel und die Lage waren recht gut. Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer, die Qualität der Austattung sind sehr schlecht. Wir hatten insgesamt drei Zimmer gebucht, in einem gab es im Badezimmer sehr viel Schimmel an der Decke!
