Staff were friendly and helpful in resolving a room issue which was dealt with promptly and without inconvenience or fuss. There was a good breakfast selection and we found the hotel location excellent for the old town tourist attractions. The only minor negative was the late night noise from surrounding bars but this is unavoidable in such a central location and was not overall too detrimental to our stay.

This is a nice hotel with friendly/helpful staff however the infrastructure is getting a bit tired. A lot could/should be improved if the staff cleaning the rooms linked better to management/maintenance. How can a bed which is missing legs and rocks like a dingy be made up twice and know-one reports this problem? Likewise how can you clean a shower and fail to notice (and report) that the shower head holder is missing? The front desk staff tried to help but moving rooms twice in one week was not ideal The other real issue is that both the outside pool and roof seating area were closed for the duration of our stay - If a significant facility like a pool/roof terrace is closed please amend your entry online so customers are aware. More attention to detail and effort to identify faults and get them fixed!

While the staff were exceptional, our stay was disappointing. The AC did not work, wifi was only accessible from reception, the roof top pool was closed for maintenance, and our room leaked from a vent in the ceiling. We were disappointed after three weeks of fantastic hotels to conclude our vacation this way.

Hotel needs upgrade. Rooms are very old and outdated, carpet is dirty and stained. large selection of breakfast menu but taste is very average. I was disappointed with suhur plate during Ramadan, only a few slices of cheese and bread. However, staff are friendly and helpful. Very good location. close to shopping and metro.

The location of the hotel was great, right near the metro and about a 7 min walk to the tram (there is a small upward incline). Emre was a great manager - always greeted you and had a smile on his face, the other two managers weren't as friendly and there was a language barrier with the man who brought the suitcases upstairs. Breakfast options were good and varied almost everyday. It would be better if the cleaning lady changed the sheets more often as we stayed for 8 nights and it was only changed twice and we had to ask for more toilet tissue twice as she hadn't topped it up but she was also nice.

Had to book this a short notice as first Hotel was truely dreadful. However inital relief was short lived as breakfast had no gluten free or vegan options at all. I am celioac it was a shame not even a good range of fresh fruit. Which mean I just could eat was an undercooked fried egg and some sliced grapefruit, lack of english meant that the eggs were always undercooked with 2 yokes so really horrible. Wide selection if you have no diet issues though. No decaff coffee or tea either. Had 2 rooms one view onto street facing TK max clothes shops played music till 11pm garden side was better but double bed in that was rock solid. The pool was tiny and cold really just a splash pool and quite grubby, we both got covid during our stay, most of the staff were coughing a lot across the hotel, and you couldn't buy covid tests which prob added to the issues. The towels in the spa used to lie on smelled unclean in the massage room.
The rooms were well cleaned each day.The paid resturant couldn't have been more unhelpful, the only option was avocardo salad with the smallest amount in it, def not a main meal at all. The location was ok for the tube 2 stops to what turned out to be the much better side of the city for tourists, far more to see and do, across the river far more interesting to walk around. This hotel was handy for trams to major sites in the old town and the bazzar though. It felt safe enough the area was ok at lot of smaller hotels but would not rush back.

Hotel is in a good location within distance of major attractions. Buffet breakfast had many choices, which was great. The male staff members were very accommodating. The female staff member in the morning is stoic. The room is a bit outdated and the beds are stiff.

Swimming pools beware

Rooftop pool was the main reason I booked. It lead all the photos online and at the hotel itself. Having seen it last week two days after it supposedly shut for the winters season, I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything so grim. Half full of green slime. Battered sunchairs. Nothing 4* about the pool. Was told it closed end Sept. In the very small print ! No way this pool can have been in such a state after 2days closure. Doubt it has been open for ages. Down to the indoor pool.... to find a charge of $20 ! Hotel was advertised as having two pools. Very disappointed

The minibar should be replenished on a daily basis - by the end of my stay it was nearly empty. When I had a problem with my safe, the technician took a long time to come and had to be chased a second time.
Otherwise the hotel is well run, with very helpful receptionists who booked a couple of events for us; and a good breakfast menu.
I should have mentioned the phone in room 103 has a wire that falls out.

So myself and my fiancée stayed at Vicenza hotel for 4 nights we've booked double room queen bed but we got single beds instead then they changed the room as requested next day the bed was horrible and noisy room was tiny. Local area full of shops and clear train station. My partner was sleep one morning and wanted to get a plate of breakfast in the room and the woman who's in charge said that I have to pay extra money to do that though our room was including breakfast anyway we will never go back to this place again

Close to centre that's all

Found this convenient hotel however the only reason it was good was due to the fact it was in the centre. Room was a mess, they did not even clean it properly. The lobby guy took us to our room and the cleaner was still cleaning. Bearing in mind we had a 12 hour journey there from Birmingham to London to Istanbul. We just wanted our room. We got there and it was not done. Room was small. The image on the photo is STRETCHED! Wouldn't visit again.
The hotel staff are very pervy. We had a few of the lobby guys try it on with us. 2 especially. They bought us Pizza and expected something in return. We assumed it was a good gesture but no. They were then very rude. The other staff were very friendly besides those 2. They were very confrontational and had a go at us. They even knocked on our door to speak to us after the situation which was just awkward. We told them we were busy. Shower door was broken and room smelt like vomit. Breakfast was not nice.

Well I stayed there for three days, and enjoyed the place a lot. The hotel is next to the Tramway and the Metro station so you can use the transportation means to go to Istiklal street, Sultan Ahmed.

Bang for the buck, but be willing to compromise

1. The location of the hotel is great for cheap travel through and around Istanbul. The train is 5 minutes down the street.
2. The area is quiet but since the rooms are so affordable you will probably have neighbors with loud kids because the price is family friendly.
3. The beds are HARD.
4. Get a room on the higher floors so that you don't listen to draining water all night.
5. Breakfast is hot and it will due if you don't want to spend money on the extra meal.
6. The front desk people will want to keep your passport. Refuse and keep it moving.

MY WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE

First, The picture for the hotel was modified to show a spacious surrounding. The truth is it is a city hotel, in a super noisy small street with buildings all around.
The room was supposed to have one double bed, but their interpretation to double bed was two single beds next to each other, and because the mattress is super cheap, it was very light, once you get close to the center between the two beds, the two mattresses move away and you fell in the gap in between. My best night sleep was when I put the sheets on the floor and slept on the floor.
The staff are unprofessional and uncheerful, they never smile, but they will help you if you if they can.
I booked one room for me and my GF, and as I had to go one night later, we booked the room in her name and I contacted the hotel to pick her up from the airport. they told me how much the shuttle fee is and I agreed. Next day she asked them to go pick me up too. I found my GF waiting for me in the airport and the shuttle was gone. The shuttle driver told her to call him or the hotel so he come back for us. He should have expected that we are tourists staying in Istanbul for two or three nights, we might not have cell phones. I tried to find a paid phone in the airport, or a hot spot to call the shuttle driver, but no one could help me as no one speaks any English. Anyway, I took a taxi and went to the hotel. The receptionist refused to let me go to the room as the room was booked for one person. I expected to charge me 10 or 20 percent extra to let me stay, but he charged me a full price, 100 percent of the room price as If I am renting another room for myself.
At the checkout, I paid the extra person charges and was surprised when I found out that the hotel charged me 4 times for the airport shuttle fee. The catch was they said that price for the shuttle is xx Euros one way, guess what one way means?! It means for the shuttle to drive empty from the hotel to the airport thats one way, and after pick up from the airport to the hotel is one way. Also I had to pay for the second time shuttle fee, however the shuttle driver never showed up.

Cost Effective place to stay for an extended vacation

The room is nice but the bed is extremely firm. The views are not great but it is a quiet place to lay your head. Excellent plumbing and hot water so showering is actually a highlight of the stay. The breakfast was suitable to my taste because I like a lot of veggies, fruits, and light items for breakfast. You can't get a better deal for the location. The train is 5 minutes behind the hotel and you can reach the hotel by train from the airport if you are saavy. All of the sites can be reached by the train behind the hotel. I used the laundry service and it cost me 70 US dollars for one load of clothes but hey, it was convenient. The hotel stored my luggage while I traveled inside the country. You get what you pay for. I stayed 15 days. No complaints. I will use it again if I return to Istanbul.

Great City break!

Staff are not the most cheerful, effecient or professional but hey that's part of the charm that is Turkey. It's a city hotel with lots of noise but adjoining bars and their music must be taken into account when booking. Call to prayer (by loud speaker) by the surrounding 5 mosques should also be considered but again is part of the charm. Excellently situated in the historical region and links and walking distance to all major sites. Breakfast buffet should cater to all tastes. Rooftop pool and sun area excellent as is cheap the Spa facilities.

Malgré un personnel sympathique, cet hôtel ne vaut absolument pas les 4 étoiles indiquées.
En effet, les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur de ces 4 étoiles : problèmes de canalisations causant une odeur noseabonde dans le système sanitaire de l’hôtel, la douche de notre chambre ne marchait pas (eau brûlante ce qui peut être dangereux) dans notre arrivée dans la chambre, la piscine est salle malgré un pisciniste sympathique (sûrement un problème de filtre), sauna fermé.
Pour conclure, l’hôtel a significativement besoin d’important travaux. La localisation idéale ne suffit pas (vu l’offre d’hôtels dans le même coin)

I ragazzi della reception sono stati davvero molto disponibili e gentili. Abbiamo fatto il check-out alle 4 di mattina senza aver prenotato un transfert per raggiungere l’aeroporto. Il signore alla reception quando ha visto che eravamo sprovvisti di un mezzo, ha provveduto a chiamare un loro taxi di fiducia che è arrivato in pochi minuti anticipandoci già quanto avremmo pagato, circa 35 euro ( la metà di quanto pagammo all’arrivo chiamandolo da soli). Nell’attesa ci hanno anche portato il caffè. L’alloggio è stato molto piacevole. Consiglio la struttura perché sono molto seri, disponibili e gentili. L’albergo si trova in zona ben fornita, a pochi minuti si raggiunge tranquillamente la fermata del tram e con una fermata si raggiunge il Grand Bazar mentre con 2/3 fermate si arriva a Sultanahmet.

Det är svårt att förstå sig på hur vissa hotell får sina stjärnor. Detta är i bästa fall ett 3-stjärnigt hotell. Rummet var ok, när man hade på AC:n luktade det cigarettrök i hela rummet. Frukosten var en besvikelse. Vi beställde väckning och de ringde fel tid, antagligen då personalens engelska var bristfällig.
Det bästa var läget, gångavstånd till Bazaren. Området är trevligt, många butiker och restauranger. Poolen var ok.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt. Würden wir wieder buchen. Alles war sehr gut erreichbar.

Das einzige negative war das Taxi vom Hotel zum Flughafen. Bitte unbedingt darauf achten dass das Taxi Klimaanlage hat und Nichtraucher Fahrer ist. Die Rückfahrt war schrecklich. Wir haben uns auch nicht sicher gefühlt, uraltes, dreckiges Taxi.
Hinfahrt zum Hotel war perfekt. Sauberes Taxi, Klima, tolle Musik, netter sehr guter Fahrer.

Wir waren zu dritt in diesem Hotel und es war wirklich super. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, das Housekeeping und die Restaurantmitarbeiter waren extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel liegt in einem sehr belebtem Gebiet, wo man sehr viel zu Fuß erreichen kann. Zum Großen Basar, zur Galata Brücke und auch zu diversen Moscheen kann man laufen. Es gibt aber auch unweit vom Hotel eine Metrostation, wo man auch schnell überall hinkommt.
Sollten wir nochmal nach Istanbul kommen, werden wir wieder dieses Hotel buchen. Das einzige, was schade ist, dass die Öffnungszeiten vom Pool auf dem Dach nur von 10-18 Uhr sind. Daher haben wir leider nicht einmal geschafft den Pool zu testen. Sonst war alles super.

Super dejligt hotel i den gamle bydel af Istanbul. Tæt på Metro-station. Dejlig service fra personalet. God rengøring, men lidt slidt nogle steder. Man kunne mærke at det var begyndelsen af sæsonen. Lidt service og vedligehold af værelset kunne trænge. Det havde været rigtigt dejligt, hvis der havde været adgang til tagterrassen.

Personeel was vriendelijk. Het hotel verdiend een 3 sterren en geen vierensterren . Airco en koelkast werkten minimaal. Zeker geen aanrader en zal ook niet meer teruggaan naar het hotel. Ik had twijfelaars gereserveerd kreeg daar in plaats 3x persoonsbed.

It was the worst stay in my entire life. if I could give zero stars I would do that. I will not recommend this hotel for anyone and not even my worst enemy.
I have travels around the world, and I have never stayed in a hotel like this.
They made me feel like I wanted too go home even faster than my ticket says. The pictures are not even close to the reality, the pool area is SO small. If I was in it my kids could almost not stay in it whit me. Both pools on their pictures are very small. The first day starts with the staff telling us the pool are close and will open again around 14pm. That was no problem for us, so we waited. We went to the indoor pool. The staff told us they will give us towels down stays. We ask for them and a man that works in the area was a very angry and rude. He told us that we couldn’t get any towels. After that I went up to the reception and told them what the man told us, and even the reception was confused about that. The yelled at each other and called some different bosses. Again the pool area was so small. The staff are so rude. We was sitting in the garden and have bought some food because we wanted to relax and eat together, but the staff ind the restaurant told us we could not eat in the garden. There excuse was, that the garden was a restaurant. I ask the staff, about a place where we can eat together and they replied your room. Really bad

Los trabajadores son muy atentos y amables!! y te ayudan con lo que necesites, lo malo que por el covid no pude disfrutar de las piscinas... El restaurante está rico, y la habitación tenía un poco de polvo, del 1 al 10 le doy un 7,5 y lo recomiendo.

Istanbul är en fantastisk stad, värd att besöka.
Hotellet var helt okey men ganska små familjerum. Personalen i receptionen var inte så bra på engelska och kunde inte hjälpa till så mycket på frågor vi hade.
Rummen städades bra och det var alltid bemannat i receptionen även sena kvällar.

Fin service och trevlig personal.

Överlag är vi väldigt nöjd med hotellet, bra läge och trevlig personal. Dock blev vi besviken på att poolen på taket var avstängd samt att i SPA-avdelningen var det endast en kall liten pool och en elektrisk bastu som var igång. Ångbastu,bubbelpool, bubbelbadet och hamam var avstängt eller trasigt.

Pour résumé
Chambre sale j’ai dû passer l’aspirateur à notre arrivée.
Salle de bain avec des champignons et des moisissures partout.
Les draps étaient sales
Piscine extérieure très sale.
Petit déjeuner digne d’un hôtel 2 étoiles.
La climatisation s’éteint en pleine nuit
Le service de chambre ne nettoie rien
Très déçu de notre séjour

Bon hotel

Personnels agréables (sauf ceux du matin peu réactif). Pas de restauration après 22h. Petit déjeuner varié de qualité. Chambres petites surtout rangements. Piscine petite ne se fier aux photos mais vu splendide sur Istanbul. Accès quasi impossible en voiture pas de parking privé. Proche du tramway. Bonne réception internet wifi.

Horrible , rien ne fonctionne, 4 étoiles ?impossible ! Plein de fourmi dans la chambre, pas de clim pas de wifi , minibar facturé triple! Personnel très désagréable !! Aucune hygiène piscine dégeulassent , couvert pas propre , draps plein de sang, les verres pas nettoyer c’est vraiment l horreur

Het ontbijt was niet zo goed b.v. cappuccino koffie uit het apparaat was vieze koffie met melk zonder schuim thee was vies paar hapjes waren droog
Mini koelkast waren niet schoon zwembad ziet er ook niet schoon uit het mag een keer geverfd worden ik vond het niet pettig als me kinderen erin zwommen.
