The staff was really nice, the rooms are small but clean and well decorated. It is very well located with some restaurants arounds, and the breakfast is great as well! Had a lovely time there.

Rooms were much smaller to what they seem on the website. House keeping is terrible. We stayed for 8 days and they did not even change the bedding or hovered the room once. At reception Buraq and Binyameen were exceptional. Both of them wrre were really helpful.

I've been Istanbul 7 times and this was the very best of all my stays. I will definitely return to this hotel. The staff, especially Burac was amazing, he was so helpful and tried his best to make our stay comfortable. The only 2 things downside about this hotel are: 1. they have 2 single beds joined together to make a double bed, which wasn't comfortable and neither what we had expected when we requested for a double bed and 2. the limited actual double beds they had were more towards the front of the hotel and you can hear the ever-so-loud music playing outside from the restaurant across the road through the night till so late at night. Besides these 2 disadvantages, I actually really liked this hotel, the rooms are actually soundproof and spacious, the breakfast was fine, the staff were really helpful and i had a nice stay. The metro is a walking distance, shopping in Fatih was also a walking distance, the Tram is also a short walk away and the best thing was having the whole spa facilities to us alone and it was absolutelty worth the hourly price. There's food places round the corner which are reasonably priced too.

Expedia states swimming pool opening hours and the hotel charges $20 per hour to use it.

However the lovely staff did give some free sessions becuae of this.

This hotel was absolutely terrible. The person who checked us in was unprofessional and blatantly disrespectful. We had paid for a two-bed room, but upon arrival, we were given a three-bed room with one large bed. This wasn’t an upgrade—they were clearly trying to offload a subpar room. The condition of the room was appalling: the floor was wet, and the entire space reeked, likely from someone having vomited and a poor attempt at cleaning it up.

When we requested the room we had originally booked and paid for, we were told the hotel was fully booked and no changes could be made. The level of service and the state of the room were unacceptable. Frankly, the only thing this hotel deserves is the same as in the iconic movie \"Home Alone 2\", the used chewed gum.

The room we were given (3 bed) largely differed from the photos and was a lot smaller, with no offical window. The carpet was clearly worn and didn’t reflect 4 stars.

The staff were friendly, although we were overwhelmed with the forceful requests at check in to attend one of their cruises, tours etc.

Okay hotel overall.

Terrible Stay with Numerous Issues

I recently stayed at Danis Hotel in Istanbul's Old City, and my experience was far from satisfactory. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Extremely Unprofessional staff I have ever come across.

The kitchen unit outside my room was extremely noisy and it was a constant noisy. And view outside of my window was pathetic. As there were no view only AC units I can see. When I sought assistance from the hotel staff regarding these issues, they were unresponsive and unhelpful, upon asking for a room change they said they can’t as they are fully booked which was a lie when I checked on websites I found the rooms were available. They clearly didn’t want to change the room.

The toilet in my room was not properly installed, hanging to one side and they used makeshift support underneath.

My family enjoyed the stay of this hotel. Clean rooms everyday. Please tip the housekeeping to express your gratitude.Polite staff but not friendly. Lobby not very big but it has outdoor space. Free cake and coffee in the afternoon time.Buffet breakfast was good but more options is needed. The quad room was two rooms adjoining with good space and nice bathrooms and comfy beds. Spa/pool/steam/room/hamman which could be rented out for €20 an hour. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Please lookout taxis. They will scam you in a heartbeat. Please get comfy shoes becuase most of the sites are wakable.

We arrived here after the disaster that was HHK hotel. The difference couldn't have been greater. Polite staff, clean room, plenty of space. The quad room was two rooms adjoining with good space and nice bathrooms and comfy beds. Breakfast was good and fresh. A nice bonus was the spa/pool/steam/room/hamman which could be rented out exclusively for our little family for €20 an hour. Great location near tubes and walkable to most major sites. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Recommend

Good location, WiFi is excellent, staff are friendly, number of power sockets in room, nice clean property, daily room cleaning, my family had a good stay, nice marble flooring and tiles in bathroom, Grohe and Ideal S fixtures in bathroom, Spa is excellent, is private but to be booked in advance for a set time. Guest have to pay to use spa.
Points to improve - hot breakfast should have more options. We were staying close to lifts, slightly noisy when a big group is talking

I booked Danis Hotel after seeing Expedia had rated the hotel as an \"8.0\".
The site showed spotless images of clean rooms and public areas.

On October 16, after 36-hour trips from SFO to IST, I got to the hotel. I was given a filthy room (images/video available) with a 20-inch jail-cell window that opened to 2 walls, 40 inches apart, with the loud sound of generators.

The carpet looked filthy, the room smelt like an ammonia-filled garbage dump, and the towels looked like unwashed kitchen rags. The mold on the shower glass/walls was disgusting.

After taking a few images, I returned to the front desk. Based on what I witnessed, it seemed the images on Expedia's site were either CGI-rendered or photoshopped.

The manager got extremely upset and told me that if I didn't like it, I could leave. After a lengthy rant, he said that \"this was a take-it-or-leave-it \" and \"Good luck finding a new hotel in this rain.\"

Shocked, I returned to the room to remove my unpacked luggage and tried to take more images. I was angrily stopped. Luckily, I had taken some earlier.

Calling Expedia for help, I was told repeatedly that their system was down.

Using Google Translator and asking for help, I began looking for a new hotel. After $100 of \"Gift\" to those helping, I found a new hotel.
The new hotel would take only US$, with a 4-night minimum. (receipt available).

Sadly, I got sick the next day. I woke up with a terrible cough. Two days later, fearing I might get further ill, I left IST.

We want to file a complaint.
Simply, we arrived at the hotel with a \"CONFIMRED\" booking and found that the hotel doesn't have this booking!
As they said .. we did not confirm to Hotels.com these rooms!!!
Result was a terrible night till we find another 2 rooms with a significantly higher price!!!
Really a very unpleasant experience.

The cleaning it’s very bad, after check in I found hair around all the bed so I had to call them and manager came to change the sheets ( so disgusting) the guys in reception are rude and they don’t understand anything I told him to change the sheets or I will move to other hotel he said you can go ahead and move we will rent the room to someone else but the money it’s not refundable, I had to call every night after I come from Bussines metering to get clean towels because they always forget to replace them also the towels smell like a farm, the breakfast was good but the utensils all dirty so they had to wash them and bring them back I will never go back to that hotel

1st… we couldn’t even enter the area to get to the hotel. The roads are blocked until 9pm. We had to park far away and walk in to get proof of our reservation, then walk back to the car and fight with a guard to allow us in.
2nd no on street or free parking, no valet, and the price quoted for parking was far less then what they tried to charge when we arrived. Only parking is in a garage across the street.
3rd Spa is self serve only and pool is by appointment only in one hour time blocks…no poolside bar
4th we booked our reservation with Expedia online with a pay at hotel option… after all the struggles to even get to the building we didn’t want to fight more… but the price was double and in Euro. From $112 usd to 252€ their explanation was their person hasn’t updated the true prices on Expedia yet.
5th when we requested a manager, we were told that there was no one available … we were asked to pay and they could fix it later. It was never fixed… so we disputed charges with our credit card company. Photos helped.
6th rooms are not sound proof… we got to listen to everyone coming and going all night long as well as the family drama in the next room.
7th room was in decent condition, but the carpets were stained and dirty.

I’ve only stayed one night in this hotel since I moved in i got different room then the one i saw in the picture and the room was smiling like someone was smoking inside and when i opened the window there was a cat dead right in front of the window, i didn’t even sleep that night and i checked out in. The next day and i already informed Expedia, i paid almost $600 for 5 nights stay and i only stayed one night and you guys did nothing about, I’ll never flay or stay from your app again

Breakfast is poor. Too many cheeses. Too many olives. Too much bread.
Fruit but not cut and pealed into a fruit salad
Eggs boiled or scrambled. That is it.
No yoghurt. No pasteries. No baklawa.
Can easily be improved on.

I had booked the wrong dates, when I arrived 2 weeks early. They would not help to change dates, generally staff were rude and unhelpful during stay. The breakfast was very average, room not in good condition, TV did not work. The facilities not accessible without reservation. Then when I contacted the hotel 3 times to try to change the reservation to another name or another date then last weekend I received no reply. I give hotel 1-2 stars maximum not a great experience.

Overall the stay was pleasant. The night concierge bahadur was nice to speak with and always made time for you. The television had no English speaking channels so that’s a bit of a negative but then I suppose I didn’t spend enough time in my room to watch it. A big negative was howthe bathroom would be flooded every time I took a shower. They may want to look into that. The hotel itself is located just outside Sultanahmet but you can walk there in 10-15mins. Taxi drivers will try to extort you once they find out you are foreign. The phone shop the hotel recommended will charge you 600+ lira for a phone and travel plug for iPhones. So beware of that! Asil fast food is down the road and their food n service is quality!

When we got there the sheets were dirty. The bathroom would literally flood when we showered and when we told them they basically told us to shower with not as high of a water pressure. The staff was not nice and felt like you owed them something. There are a ton of hotels in Istanbul, save yourself the trouble and stay at a different place.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and there are many restaurants and shops, and it is also close to the metro station (4 minutes walking).. But I booked the hotel for three nights with free parking, but I was surprised that there was no parking at all, so I had to pay 10 euros every day for the cost of parking. I had a situation that the entire money was taken from me so that I could park the car in the car park of a nearby hotel, but because of the Eid ِِAl-Adha holiday, I was not able to reach the hotel during the day due to traffic procedures there. So, Mr. Muhammad Haider helped me recover the amount, and here I thank him very much.
Also the breakfast contents are very poor.
