Hotel is definitely not a Four star hotel.
Pleasantly surprised by the standard and cleanliness of the bedroom, although the A/C didn’t work.
Breakfast has to be one of the worst ever, swimming pool was closed and we were informed that it doesn’t open until 10.30am
When it did eventually open, it was dirty with bird droppings in and around the pool area, a bar area with almost nothing available! I contacted the hotel on 3 separate occasions to arrange taxi transfers to & from the airport without any response. Shocking customer service.

Klas hotel was closed for Covid. There selling the rooms and placing us in the hotel next door which doesn’t have the same facilities or quality of what I booked.
When I requested a refund it was refused and it is still ongoing.

Booked this hotel because I wanted to be close to the VAC. I was looking for a hotel with a pool and more importantly parking as finding a parking spot in Istanbul is challenging. I arrived at the hotel and was told by the staff that there is no parking in this hotel and the pool is closed for the season. They agreed they've made false advertisements on Expedia but that is how they run their business and that seemed to be normal to them. I should mention that the staff were friendly and respectful, but the building was not as good as they advertised it. Especially, the bathroom was brutally small and dirty. Their breakfast was not good at all and they only offered cheap basic items (fruit, boiled egg).
This hotel is located in a decent spot in Istanbul, but for the price they ask you can find better options.

The hotel is very central and generally is very good value for a city centre hotel. It is shy of 4 star quality but only just. The hotel fixtures and furniture are is some aspects a little tired
Overall we booked a deluxe room which had lots of space and we got a free balcony upgrade as the deluxe room was not available on our first night which was 1 of 4 nights.
I would probably pay a little more than £70 per night incl breakfast next time for just the bit of extra quality but in summary we were happy with what we got for what we paid.

Budget 3 star, not a trendy 4 star

It is ok, nothing special, definitely not a 4 Star in Europe though. It's probably cos of the rooftoop patio with a tiny pool and jacuzzi that does not work.

Hotel needs renovation, carpet cleaning, lift maintenance etc. No 4 star hotel would not give complimentary water or toothpaste.

Dishonest reservation site

The facilities of the hotel was good, the hotel had both cheap room and comfort room, but you reserved the cheapest room for me without appropriate information about my reservation. I will not trust this site again and its discount. Because this site cheat on reservation. This site showed me the images of the best room of the hotel, but when I arrived there, I See the cheapest room which was completely different with the photo in my reserve confirmation and images in the site. I Afford to pay for better room , if I know that I am paying for cell. The hotel was very good, but I will not trust the offers of this site again, and I will say to others that do not trust this site and its images.

Don't bother!

Firstly the image which we was sold this hotel room was a deluxe! When we got to our room we were present with THE tiniest room! And I explained it was our honeymoon. And they said we would have to pay more each night for a deluxe room. The room was tiny. Bathroom was SO dirty. Black marks, wallpaper all coming off. Everyday without fail we'd go up to the roof top and it would be closed. It was never open on time, which was stated on a poster near the stairs.
There was no sense of urgency by the staff. A couple of times we rang reception and it would take them ages.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Got here to Istanbul for 12 nights. Check in and was told we had to move to another hotel 10 mins down the road as our room had a faulty AC and this could be for a few days and each morning return for breakfast.
The attitude of reception staff was appauling we were stood out on the street with all our luggage and 2 young children aged 5 and 1 with no help from the staff apart from laughing at us.
I will be fighting for a full refund and compensation as to be out on the street at 2 am with young kids in an unknown country is not acceptable.
We have had to find another hotel and drag our luggage with kids
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, if anything they should be removed off all the hotel search websites.

Nice & Tidy and good location!

The hotel is located in one of the revamped neighborhood. The streets are pretty narrow but almost all old buildings are replaced with new and taller ones. The hotel itself is new or recently renovated. The room was nice and tidy and housekeeping was ok. They don't provide iron/ board even upon request. The breakfast menu was pretty limited but sufficiently supplied during the breakfast hours. The hotel is located in the commercial area behind the University, very close to both the M1 tram line going into the Sultan Ahmet District and the M2 subway line going across the Galata Bridge to the other side of European Istanbul. Closeness to the University meant there was a lot of activity at night too. The night club down the block was pretty loud and did effect our sleep, but it was bearable. I would recommend the hotel for it's location and good up keep. As long as you are ok with taking the tram or taxi down to the historic district, it is a good value for the price.

Booked and paid months in advance only to be told when checking in that they are fully booked. They put us in a hotel next door for 2 out of the 5 days. It was a inconvenience as we had to pack and unpack. Klas hotel you should not over book just to make money. If we wanted to stay in the other hotel we would of booked there.
My review
Klas hotel is made for small people. Small rooms small shower small lifts. Swimming Pool is closed till June which it does not say on the web site.
Breakfast was good. Porter was helpful so guys tip him if you stay.
This hotel is ok if you just somewhere to sleep but if you like to enjoy a hotel I recommend a different hotel.

we went to this hotel with very high hopes. the only thing in this hotel good was its location. It could not be 4 star as i have to ask for everything even towel. they dont change bed sheets everyday and have complimentaries and charge stuff was mixed up. we had tea one day when the cleaning guy came, he just washed the cup from toilet basin and put them back. the balcony was extremely dangerous as toddlers can easily slip through. the decor was not good, wall paper has stain marks on it. it was the executive suite.

if you asks them anything they will promptly bring it for you.

Good hotel to stay with a teenager

I stayed at the hotel with my teenage daughter and found the room clean and comfortable. My daughter liked the swimming pool and sun loungers on the roof and I enjoyed the sauna. Common areas were quite clean but the yacuzzi - diappointingly - was not working while we were there. Tram and subway were only a few minutes' walk away and there was a corner shop just opposite the road and a hamami 5 minutes' walk away. In the evenings the area was quite busy which should delight the younger travellers but I would recommend finding more authentic restaurants further away as the ones in this area were overpriced and not remarkable.

We have stayed in more livelier areas. I thought there wasn't a large selection of quality restaurants in the area. Not very touristy if that's the thing youre looking for. The room we stayed in was the second largest on the floor. There were no baby beds so the staff brought In a whole other mattress. The furniture was sub standard and quite unclean. Floors were dirty, cheap furniture was chipped and stained. This was more like a 2 star experience. The service was actually very good along with the free breakfast. No complaints there.

A ONCE ONLY! EXPEDIA EYE OPENER

After arranging an airport pick up directly through hotel, we waited an hour, only to realise, the information was not forwarded. We then had to grab a taxi, [which by now, was peak traffic] who took a long road for a short cut!
Double room????? had to jump on bed to pass one another. for future reference, print out hotel photos of doubles, NOT what we got! Bathroom not suitable for anyone slightly overweight, at 7 stone, I had to squeeze round shower door to access shower.Hotel has many double rooms, which are much bigger, but assuming they are not for package bookings.
Pool area. Best part of this hotel, nicely spaced out loungers, and pool not directly beside them.Towels supplied daily, nice buffet/drinks bar.
Breakfast well stocked, although very busy.

The hotel is an average 4 star hotel, no special perks except the beautiful rooftop swimming pool which is a true delight. The room was, quiet clean and well appointed, however, I would appreciate an extra pillow.
The receptionists were helpful and cheerful but a bit clumsy, nothing too serious.
The most disappointing drawback was the breakfast: for a culinary superpower that Turkey undeoubtedly is, the breakfast was shameful - the juices were artificial, the scrambbled eggs were industrially made, and the entire breakfast was simply less than mediocre.

We stayed in the Klas for two nights at the end of our time in Istanbul. We booked through a third party, which meant we paid about £85 per night for two people in an executive room in a 4* hotel – which we thought would be a nice treat after skimping on our other accommodation during the rest of the week.

Overall technically everything that should’ve been there was as described – a large modern room, massive bed, fast wifi, breakfast buffet, jacuzzi bath. And though busy, the staff were helpful in offering advice, booking of taxis, and luggage portage. It’s also very conveniently located, just up the road from the Laleli-Universite tram stop.

But there was a sense that the hotel has seen better days – there were odd stains on the carpet, including what looked like cigarette burns, some of the bathroom fixtures were falling off, and the swimming pool/roof terrace was closed off for refurbishment. Also our balcony's ‘city view’ was that of rooms in another hotel across the road.

Overall we had a good experience, and it did the job, but we would not have paid more for the room than we did.

The hotel is not far from the terminus of the subway to the airport, very handy in the city where traffic jams are omnipresent. My single room was rather small, for a short stay ok. The breakfast is served in a restaurant in the basement and is very good.

Small rooms, dark (even on fourth floor), relatively old but clean. Near Bazar ( 15 minutes walking). Good breakfast, variety of choices to eat. Restaurant downstairs open till late (3am). Parking is outside nearby but you must pay. Hotel is hidden in a narrow street, my advice is take a taxi not car. If you are a light sleeper ask for the room not facing the street! Swimming pool not open before 10am and closes early. I choose Another hotel next time.

Good city centre hotel in Istanbul

Check-in was efficient and friendly. Room was on the 5th floor and huge !! We had a really big balcony. Bathroom too was big. Was disappointed by the standard of the breakfast, really poor. Otherwise a good stay, within 5 mins walk to the tram. It was then just 3 stops to Sultanahmet.

Room, however was not what I expected from a 4 stars hotel, it was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled like one and even they had provided ash-tray and matches in it.

Watch for the hotel manager telling you their software ate your reservation. They moved me to a tiny room in another hotel and I complained. Also lost touring opportunities having to repack and check-in again at the Klas the next day. Klas has a popular breakfast buffet and responsive staff.

I stayed in Klas Hotel 3 nights and think I got good service for a reasonable price.
The best was the very convenient hotel location - you can reach almost any sightseeing place on feet ( 15 minutes to Grand Bazar or 25 minutes to Blue Mosque) or go by tram which stop is in 5 minutes from the hotel.
Breakfest buffet was good enought.
The room clean with private shower. The only small drawback was the room size. I was by myself only so the room was not too small, but if there was more than one person the room wasn't convenient.

I arrived in Istanbul at the Klas Hotel... expecting it to be more of a boutique cozy type hotel.... which it does provide, but unfortunately the rooms are really tiny and there is a huge problem with the air conditioning maintenance. We were there in the month of November and coming from Canada it was not that cold in Istanbul, but the room temperature was on heating and since the size of the room was literally smaller than a studio apartment, the room became a furnace with the heating blasted. When asked the hotel staff to control it, they could not do anything about it except shut it off. However, shutting it off did not do much justice either as there was no air in the room even if you open the windows as the window was facing to the back end of the hotel but within the hotel. I would grade this hotel to be less than even a 4 star. Apart from the room, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, as due to jet lag we were not able to sleep and looking for food, the staff was able to arrange a midnight snack even though they dont have room service 24 hours. But unfortunately the condition of the hotel and the noise and the rooms did not cover up for the friendliness of the staff.

The hotel offers good value, the exec rooms are very large and comfortable.
I personally would go for a large room in a 4* hotel then a basic room in a 5*. The overall cost was still very reasonable when picking the exec room.

The trade off is the location (Laleli) is not the best part of town, but it is very convient to jump on the tram (just 50m from the Hotel) to Sultanamet and other areas. (2TL per journey).

The room service and food in the hotel are good value and well made.

No iron is available, so you have to pay for that or bring your own travel iron.

The hotel will also organise a shuttle service from the airport for a reasonable fee.

It is a cute hotel, but was horrified to find a dozen mosquitos in the renovated room. We killed each one to be sickened by the amount of blood splatter that came out of each one. The hotel leaves windows open, which allows the mosquitos in. We only stayed two nights, so we didn't get maid service, as we knew it would allow more bugs in the room.

The walls are paper thin. We could hear everyone in the rooms around us and in the hallway. The beds are hard: didn't sleep well.

They wouldn't allow a later checkout w/o a whole night's charge. Ridiculous.

If you don't mind mosquitos, hard beds, inflexibility, and noise, stay here.

Taxi drivers haven't heard of the hotel so keep a map with you

Positioned near some nice hotels in a pleasant corner of Laleli
Roof-top swimming pool is small and view not too good
Drinks are pricey and water was charged to the room
Breakfast buffet had the same food every day and was so-so
No-one appeared to use the hotel restaurants
Only a handful of local restaurants near the hotel so be prepared to travel in the evening for a decent meal
Extensive road re-surfacing around the hotel (although it will be completed shortly and leave the area looking nice)
Laleli district is full of low class shops but hotel is thankfully within walking distance of the main attractions in the Sultanahmet area.

Location: very easy to get to a tram stop a couple of minutes walk away, the surrounding area is fine and although it has bars, restaurants and clubs near buy there was no problems with noise, 10 min walk to Grand Bazaar

Hotel: Clean and nicely set up, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms however were small and not a lot of either storage space or anywhere to really even put you toiletries, breakfast was the same everyday and not that great

Overall: the hotel is more 3 than 4 star, they are trying to do more and make it more but they havent got the finese to make it really 4 star, it depends what you are looking for in a hotel, at it's price and if a hotel for you is somewhere to drop off your stuff and sleep at night, this hotel is perfect, if you want more if the finer things that it isn't but will still do, but you wouldn't get at at this price range.

More pros than cons!!!

FANTASTIC deal with Expedia!!!

The flights with Turkish Airways ran like clockwork and were comfortable and pleasant. Even though we arrived in Turkey at 4.30am, Hotel Klas was kind enough to let us check in!

The hotel itself has really friendly and helpful staff, although the hotel itself is more like an old fashioned, simple 3* hotel. The room was clean but small.

The hotel's location was pretty good, being minutes from a metro station, but a good 15/20 minute walk from Sultanhamet's attractions.

I recommend the hotel as a part of a cheap deal, or those who want to make use of the youtdoor swimming pool in the summer.

Clean, Central Hotel

Klas is just outside the old part of Istanbul and is pretty much the perfect spot for sightseeing. it is also right beside the Grand Bazaar and a few of the grander tourist Hamams. It's away from the bright lights and chaos of Taksim Square and that's a good thing. Breakfast is your average continental buffet. The rooms are well kitted out and clean (western hotel style) - and the shower was a particular treat. The walls between rooms are thin and we were disturbed many times by our neighbours music and tv, but I guess that's standard in most hotels. Either way, I'd definitely reccommend Klas to friends. It's excellent value.

The hotel room was very good.... but...

The carpet was not vacuumed properly, one fluff stayed on the floor for days.

It took me 4 attempts and 5 hours to explain the staff that a bath robe should have a belt.

The bathroom was very big, but for 4 towels and 2 bath robes you only have 2 hangers.

Nescafe for breakfast is in turkey really an insult to the Turkish coffee tradition.
The fruit salad was several days old until it was exchanged.

Welcome from the sales manager was very good and professional, sadly the rest of the staff cannot keep up with this quality.

Prior to the journey it was said that a shuttle service with a sign with my name was waiting for me. But no one was there, so I had to call the hotel, and after a while, they managed to get the driver there. With 35Euro per person the service should be better.

Very good value for the money. Although the mini bar was overpriced and we did not have a good view (actually our window was overlooking an inner courtyard) it was a very pleasant stay!

we actually stayed for a very short time and we had already booked by expedia so when our booked time was over we asked if we can book 3 more nights but surprisingly the price has escilated to more than double what we paid through expedia and there was no available rooms till after a week in general the stay was nice, the room was clean with nice clean towels and bathrobes, breakfast was simple with not a lot of choices but it was ok in general, i enjoyed my stay over there and would recommend it to others

El hotel está relativamente bien, ubicacion, instalaciones, personal.....pero si te toca una habitación con ventana hacia la calle olvídate de dormir hasta las 2:30 de la mañana.
Hay muchísimo ruido, fiesta en los bares cercanos

Dans l'ensemble correcte et bien situé
Ménage fait chaque jour correctement
Personnel sympathique.
Petit plus la terrasse piscine domage que le jaccuzi n'était pas allumé donc pas opérationnel.
Changement de chambre a mon arrivée car problème de literie et impossible d'ouvrir la porte accès à la douche.
Je ne pense pas revenir dans cet hôtel.

Emme varanneet mitään palatsia, joten majoitus oli matkan tarkoituksen mukainen. Nautimme istanbulin nähtävyyksistä, bazaareista, erinomaisesta ja maukkaasta ruuasta. Mitä muuta ihminen tarvitsee? Hotelli oli siisti, erittäin hyvä ja monipuolinen aamupala, hyvä sijainti ja henkilökunta oli super mukavia ja auttavia. Heiltä oli helppo kysyä paikallisia vinkki vitosia. Varattiin hotellilta suoraan taksi lentokentälle (meno-paluu), jotta säästyttäisiin turhilta säädöiltä ja se kannatti, koska kaikki toimi todella hyvin ja ajallaan. Ainut pettymys oli se, että varattiin hotelli kattoterassin ja altaan takia, mutta se avataan käyttöön vasta 1.6., joten ei päästy nauttimaan siitä, mutta ymmärrettiin kyllä, että sää ei ollut vielä tarpeeksi lämmin altaalle. Muuten ei mitään huonoa sanottavaa hotellista.

A very very vad experience, the air conditioning wasn’t working. The pool wasn’t open and the staff couldn’t help us. We wanted to check out the same day but the hotel wouldn’t accept a refund.

Sehr gute Lage, aber ....

Das Personal war sehr hilfsberelt, die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, die Sauberkeit der Zimmer müsste verbessert werden, leider entsorgen Gäste ihren Müll vor der Zimmertüre, im Stiegenhaus oder im Lift, somit liegt im ganzen Hotel Müll herum

Floor 1A roomhight was way too low for tall(184cm) man. In the shower I had to bend get lower to wash my hair. Room was very small but for 4 nights it was okay.

Hôtel à fuir !!!!!! Pas du tout un hôtel 4 étoiles , il ne mérite à peine 1 ou 2 étoiles. Chambre trop sombre très très très petite. Lit collé au mur et pieds sous la fenêtre si vous êtes grand de taille ca va être problèmatique.
Niveau propreté médiocre; odeur bizarre dans la chambre et couloir. Lit pas confortable. Et cerise sur le gateau personnel désagréable et un petit-déjeuner dans un sous sol sombre.
Heureusement que les agents Hotels.com ont procédé au relogement et ont été là pour améliorer le séjour.
Changement d'hôtel et tout est beaucoup mieux.
Conclusion, Klas hôtel pas classe du tout, à fuir!!!
