Originally built in 1900 with local flint and formerly known as the Coach and Horses Inn, this air-conditioned hotel retains its old-world charm and offers a warm, friendly welcome. We booked 2 of the same rooms. One was very large and the other was tiny. When we noticed the difference, we brought it up and were told they were sold out. The large room bathroom was ridiculous. We used the shower and the water poured out and flooded the bathroom. We used our towels and needed more but the front desk was closed. This was at 9 pm.
The bathroom had mold and the toilet seat kept slipping off. I don’t know how this hotel has an 8.8 rating.

The hotel was fine for the price. The Italian restaurant that was attached was great. The only issues were very little parking and hard to get in and out of because of traffic.

My wife and I stayed at this property for one night during our trip around Ireland. The room was small, with two separate beds and a compact bathroom, but it provided everything we needed. The heating worked well, which was a welcome detail considering the weather on the day of our arrival. What I found surprising, however, was the hotel’s policy of requesting debit or credit card details including the CVC code at check-in, supposedly as security against potential damages. I declined to provide the CVC code, as this is essentially the same as handing over the full card and PIN. The receptionist then called the manager, whose reaction was rather unpleasant. He insisted that “this is Ireland” and that such practice is standard in all Irish hotels. When I asked for a refund so that we could look for alternative accommodation, he eventually softened his approach and admitted that this information was not actually necessary.
It is worth noting that no other hotel in Ireland, or elsewhere in the world, has ever required me to provide such sensitive information, and I find it difficult to understand why this property would. This experience is the main reason for my lower rating.

The property is in the middle of a super fun area filled with great bars and restaurants. It seemed like many locals loved the area and several bars had live music! The parking was extremely limited and we had to park on the street the last night but it was only a short walk to the hotel and was free, so not terribly inconvenient. Highly recommend!

Clean but small room adjacent to the cemetery was quite a fun experience. Staff was great and the breakfast option worked well with our schedule. Only one small item worth the outlet for the hair dryer being too far to use with the one available mirror. Also very limited parking (first come first served)

This hotel was lovely. The room was large, very clean and quiet. We were facing the street and didn't even hear the garbage collector. We ate dinner and breakfast in the bistro. Good food and good service. The only negative was parking. The hotel had very limited parking lot behind the hotel that required negotiating down a narrow portico and making a sharp left hand turn into a back lot. We were fortunate to get a small space as someone was just leaving. Pretty tight!

Although this hotel was clean and comfortable and the attached restaurant was amazing our stay here was not what I would call fantastic. Our room was very hot and stuffy. When we asked for a fan the only one they had was broken so we did not get a fan. Our window was above the outside door for the kitchen staff and their smoking filtered up to our window and into our room. As well at 230 every morning there was staff pouring metal cans and glass bottle into a recycling bin under our window. The 3 days that we were there we got little to no sleep. The hotel it’s self is very noise. Doors slamming all day and night. I think this hotel would be great for a 20 something person who is out partying till the wee hours. Not for someone older who wants to actually sleep.

This was a very cute and spacious room, definitely had everything you needed, surprisingly a lot of storage if you brought a lot of items with you and wanted to just settle on in. We dined at the bistro (casual dining area) downstairs and it was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it. They also have another restaurant there that requires reservations. The staff we met were amazing, so kind and funny and very helpful - there is a sign that states if the front desk is empty, to go to the bar for assistance.. we did and were checked in immediately.
My only negative is - the parking. It’s absolutely awful and I don’t know how we lucked out with finding a spot. They even lost some spaces by adding outdoor seating, which seemed shocking to me. I would recommended reaching out ahead of time to ask about alternative parking, just in case

No water! We Stayed two days and on the second day the water stopped working. I was in the middle of a shower with a head full of shampoo. My husband ran down to the desk to see if there was another unit we could use the shower. No water at all! So I waited in the shower for 45 mins hoping for the water to turn back on and nothing. We packed up and headed out to rent another room so I could get shampoo out of my hair and the husband and daughter could shower and have bathroom facilities . I understand things happen but was is upsetting is there is no desk staff half the time. When we left the desk staff was gone, I had to go into the restaurant next door looking for someone and eventually left the key. I sent them two messages and waited for a response hoping they would correct this before I did my review and no response as I should recess credit for the one day as I had to go to another hotel and of course no response. Poor customer service they received their money and then don’t care.

Great location, basic (but comfortable) rooms with good water pressure in the shower. There are only a few parking spaces (maybe seven or eight of them) but people were determined to park in the hotel’s parking lot and ended up double parking (which made exiting proper spaces a challenge). Overall I was pleased with place, but would recommend staying during weekdays as prices are much more reasonable.

This was a funky little hotel right on main street in the town of Oranmore just outside of Galway. The restaurant in the same building was separate operation but was excellent. The bathroom needs and update and redesign. The biggest complaint we have was the noise from the pub right next door which rages until 1 or 2 am in the morning as patrons sing with the band and leave in a noisy manner on the street in front. Also if someone in the building has a shower in the early morning as happened at 5 am in our case, the water pipes bang VERY loudly till shower is over.

This was right in the heart of a quaint little town. Walking distance to a grocery store. Not the biggest room and it was super noisy at 5am with them taking out trash and glass breaking from multiple trips with dishes right outside our window. Lovely small hotel with a terrific adjoining restaurant in Main St. Oranmore. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, our room was big and the bed very comfortable. It was a weekend so a bit noisy out front so would recommend a room away from the main street. Parking was a bit tricky as the area is shared with the restaurant users but I always found a space. The restaurant was great, unique Italian menu, food superbly cooked and presented and the service was brilliant. Great for breakfast too! The only problem we had during our. 3 night stay was that most of the room lights didn’t work, we got no explanation as to why and there was no attempt to fix them whilst we were there.

We loved the charming room, everything felt very clean and tidy, yet homey. The only things that would have made this better, would be a fan for the room as it was very hot at night. Also, some sort of shuttle to Galway 1-2 times per day or a more reliable bus time table. We tried using google to get bus times, but found that buses were generally quite late or just didn’t show at all.
