This was a perfectly adequate room. We slept well. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The vending machine left something to be desired. The property is beautiful and peaceful.

Rectory Farm is a beautiful old building with a lovely garden - we had a room with a garden view.
The room was very clean and the bathroom had a good hot shower over the bath.
Parking was easy but we paid £5 per car for the night.
The only reason I didn’t give the review 5 star was because there was only a small bar of soap (which was actually ok for one night), and the breakfast snacks were in a vending machine which was extra.
The hotel is very convenient for getting to Cambridge city centre by uber, and there is Coton garden centre around the corner which did a fabulous breakfast. The only WW11 American cemetery in the UK is also around the corner and very well worth a visit.
We very much enjoyed our stay there!

Parking was well organised with plenty of room although not really sure it warrants £5 per night as it’s a private car park. Near to park and ride so that was appealing. The booking included a damages deposit which I was not aware of. It was at the very bottom of the booking page which nobody reads, this should have beeb at the top and made clear within the overall price. The shower was barely warm and very noisy, the rooms were old and shabby, there was some underfoot bits in the carpet.

The room was small. The location is okay; takes about 15 min to walk to west Cambridge. But there are no sidewalks or proper traffic lights, so you have to walk a bit on a dirt road. Feel not very safe to walk after sunset. I moved to hotels in Eddington after the stay.

We booked as it looked lovely, however, we were out in the outer building, small room, very out dated, asked fir an upgrade, yes sir, that will be another £63 , they have lots of land, but still charge for parking, would you like breakfast for £18 each sir, no I will go 300 yards down the road to the premier inn and pay £11, I thought looking at the pictures on their website, thus was going to be something special, I would recommend the premier.

Perhaps the best place i have ever stayed at, relatively clean, very cosy, and conveniently within walking/ bus distance from Cambridge.
What i would have liked to be different:
-parking is 5 pounds/ day, which may not seem much, but there was no mention other than 'available on the premises'.
-heating was centrally managed- at times too hot and others almost too cold.

The rectory farm is a lovely place to stay, very quiet and welcoming. We checked in after 4pm and was upgraded free of charge. However, the hot water wasn’t working properly so we had to change rooms. The room was slightly bigger but a smaller bed which was fine too. (But I did prefer the other big bed). Set on lovely grounds. It would be nice if they had more toiletries available in the room. Other than that had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

The Hotel and the grounds looked amazing, unfortunately that’s where it ended, on arrival at reception we was kind of greeted, filled out a form and told where our room: was, no details about the facilities breakfast or anything’ the room whilst nice was small, dated but in the main clean. The bathroom needed some attention, with obvious mould around the windows. The view over the garden was nice but you could sense that perhaps there was no care given to the surroundings. The bed was ok creaky and only one pillow each, same with the bathroom one towel each and one towel for that could’ve been as a bath matt or face towel. In all it felt that there was a lot of potential but left feeling very flat, There didn’t seem any interest in customer service, other hotels we’ve stayed at have been welcoming and pleasant no matter the length of stay, and someone available at all hours. Here the reception was manned from

We had a great stay. The property itself is beautiful and the ground is very private. Pool is outdoor and closed during October so can’t comment. Can’t comment on the staff as we didn’t see anyone. Room was beautiful as the theme fitted in with the building style but tea/coffee tray was very poor, only a tiny bar of soap and only 2 towels for our whole stay. Location was good as only 10mins by taxi to centre of Cambridge.

The annex room was clean and comfortable but had no sound proofing, the neighbour thought it was ok to start making and taking business calls at 5.10 am onwards disturbing all of the other guests, not the hotels fault but they might consider putting some ear plugs in guests rooms.

Lovely place to stay, the rooms and grounds are fabulous, a little disappointed there wasnt a bar with comfy seating to relax in after check in... and although it was stated in small print that check in doesnt open until 4pm its actually the whole hotel doesnt open until 4pm which is rather inconvenient if you arrive early after a long drive...that being said bed linen pillows and duvet all really luxurious so definately recommend for a good nights sleep. With regards to the £5 parking fee we had to search around for a member of staff to try to pay this and after finding the only member of staff around (the chef Darren) and him making 2 telephone calls to no avail he concluded our parking fee was included in our room rate?...strange set up but overall a lovely nights stay

The hotel looked good on the web but I had some doubts, partly from other peoples comments.
I shouldn't have worried, it is one of the best places we have stayed in during months of travel. Unlike some chain hotels there's no deferred maintenance. It's really tidy and everything works well. It was a great base with park and ride and the M11 both very close. The staff were really great and felt like old friends over our four day stay. Thanks to Sarah and Darren (the breakfast team) who looked after us and gave us some helpful travel tips. Overall it was like a home from home.
I shouldn't have worried, it is one of the best places we have stayed in during months of travel. Unlike some chain hotels there's no deferred maintenance. It's really tidy and everything works well. It was a great base with park and ride and the M11 both very close. The staff were really great and felt like old friends over our four day stay. Thanks to Sarah and Darren (the breakfast team) who looked after us and gave us some helpful travel tips. Overall it was like a home from home.

The room - not terribly clean, needed to first kill the spiders and remember to bring all your toiletries cause there's nothing there. Again no aircon - the fan in the room didn't manage to cool it down at all all night.
Breakfast buffet - things in the 'heated' metal dishes (eggs/tomatoes,etc.) were all cold. We were told we can order eggs (pouched/fried) from the kitchen so we did... Never arrived as they forgot our order and the kitchen closed.

The room was very nice and clean, a bit warm but with the window open there was a nice breeze. The swimming pool is very nice, heated at the right temperature to be pleasant but not too hot for a swim. Thw building and garden are great.
