Nice quiet place on the end of the main drag. Bathroom was ridiculously small but functional with good hot water and pressure. Bed was average. Assistance was exploitive and costly . Shop around. They maybe helpful but at a steep cost. Location was great but there really isn't a bad location in town. Parking was good

The location of this hotel is the best! If you book the balcony with the panoramic view, you will see the Travestinesright from your room. We woke up at 6:30 to see the balloons flying over and it was spectacular. The owner and the staff went on their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms are small so pack light, the breakfast has a lot of homemade jams and olives, so it was tasty along with some eggs and other choices. Great choice for this small town.

We had a lovely time at this hotel, which was so conveniently situated across from the Antique Pools. We had a beautiful room overlooking the pool and the hills. Incredible. The room was so cute and had a nice balcony. The staff were lovely and helpful and we had a very nice dinner there after we arrived. You must try the local wine!

Staff went above expectations to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Room was comfy. Breakfast had a nice variety. We were provided a take away breakfast on our last day because we left early. Hotel has qreat access to Pamukkale traventines, we took a taxi 300 lira to south gate, explored the ruins then made our way down traventines. We recommend this for a more comfortable experience, especially if hot. Had a delicious Turkish meal at Mehmet's Heaven Restaurant about 400m walk from hotel. Hotel organised hot air balloon trip for us. Overall great experience and we recommend.

Amazing location for a great hotel

Had a wonderful time. The hotel is in the best spot.Really great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Woken up early from the noise of the balloons. Went out onto the balcony to see such an amazing site of the balloons taking off.
Towels a bit scratchy and I found the bed and pillows hard. Having said that we would definitely go back.

This hotel is perfectly located across from the travertines and near lots of restaurants. Parking is free on-site and there’s an excellent breakfast buffet, which is also free. The bed was a bit firm for my taste, and could use a top sheet, but the service is incredibly warm, friendly, and charming.

Good location but bad condition - AC broken

Perfectly located and good parking spot to visit the pammukale travestines, however the hotel condition needs improvement.
The AC would turn on/off and beep throughout the whole night and the walls are thin and we heard neighbors - so we did not get much sleep.
We mentioned the AC issue to staff and they tried to fix it but during night it would go off/beep anyways

This hotel is directly across the street from the town entrance to Pamukkale. It is the best hotel in this area. It is older but well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the rooms very clean. The property itself is super very maintained…pool, grass area. We enjoyed our stay.

This property was very simple but very good. The price is an amazing value for what you get. It is located directly across from all the sites of Pumukkale so you can easily walk. The pool is nice and well maintained. This is a family run establishment and the people that we met were extremely hospitable and treated us like family. We also ate dinner there which was authentic and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Best place for Pamukkale exploration.

Most people do day trips to Pamukkale. As we were driving ourselves and wanted to explore more than the limited group tours, we chose to stay one night. This hotel is perfectly located as a base to explore the Travertines and Hierapolos, and the hot air balloons take off across the road if you fancy an early morning ride. Whilst amenities are average, the pool is lovely and the staff are all so friendly and helpful, especially Dilek at reception, Hayal who carried our bags and showed us the room, and of course Şerefe (I hope I got the name right) who was so very helpful at breakfast.

I would strongly recommend this place for location, cleanliness and service, over all the costlier options up the road in Karahayit

Hal-Tur Hotel is right at the Pamukkale travertines and one can easily walk to the entrance. All rooms have a view of the travertines and the hotel is simple, clean, and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a nice stay.

A warning for those traveling by own vehicle - google and Apple Maps gps will take you to an incorrect location with a very similar address, but about 20km away. After a call to the hotel we got on the right track, but after a long day of travel this was frustrating. Be sure to plug in the actual address of the hotel rather than the listing that pops up by the name of the hotel in those navigation apps.

Nice Boutique Hotel with Personal Service

Right next to the entrance to the travertine terraces and Hierapolis, Hal-Tur is an older hotel with a certain charm. The staff was all quite personable and friendly, and our room was a nice getaway from everything, with a great little balcony overlooking the pool. The offered breakfast was great, they even added menamen to it one morning when we requested it. Nice, affordable, convenient.

I love staying at the Hal-Tur because it is a small, quaint hotel directly across the street from the main attractions in the city. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. A simple Turkish breakfast is included. Honestly, the accommodations are OK. The rooms are basic but very clean. The Wi-Fi is not very powerful. Either way we have stayed at this hotel three times because we really enjoy the staff and the location can’t
be beat. We do not spend a lot of time in our rooms; we are there to see the attractions. If the weather is bad and we would have to stay indoors then the accommodations would be a little lacking. Otherwise this is our go to place when we visit Pamukkale.

Chose that hotel because of its close proximity to the Pamukkale site. Hotel is adequate, clean, but rooms are very small. Very dated washrooms. Pool water colour was green (certainly not that nice blue like the picture on the website). Breakfast was very average and did not have a large selection. For those having the intention to visit the Pamukkale site, get set for a very big disappointment and some strong false advertisement from Turkey. This site is no longer like the posters or brochures that you see at travel agencies; far from it. 95% of the pools/basins are dry because the Turkish authorities have decided to divert the water for other commercial usage. So the site is not as beautiful as it should be!

The hotel has a weird electricity system with the fuses making the noise at night. It was very difficult for us to sleep. The Internet is very slow, too. I understand this is a an issue everywhere in Turkey... the breakfast was too basic comparing to other hotels we stayed. Overall, it feels more like 3-star, rather than 4-star. The swimming pool is definitely a highlight.

The location of this hotel gives them a great advantage. It overlooks Pammukale and is truly breathtaking. The hotel itself was a bit disappointing. The service from the staff was very good although the owner did make some excuses over some issues with their safety boxes being made in China. Those didn't work and so I had nowhere to keep my valuables. Our TV didn't work but as I wasn't there to watch TV I ignored it. The showerhead was one of those sneaky ones that would spray everywhere except forwards. Despite this the room was exceptionally clean.

Having read previous reviews i was a bit skeptical about their breakfast but i was impressed with the improvements on this. Good selection of food here and was comfortable.

Overall I was almost going to give an \"ok\" but they will need to maintain their hotel better if they want to attract customers.

The location of the hotel is great in terms of proximity to nature park and travestine pools. The actual hotel was well below the standards expected for the price paid when compared to other hotels in the area. The room was much too small, need very tidy at all and it was more of a B&B style accommodation and not an actual hotel. I would not recommend this to anyone...especially for the price vs quality.

Great little hotel!

My friend and I had a great stay for two nights at the Hal Tur at the end of May! The service was excellent, the room was clean, and we really enjoyed having a view of Pamukkale from the balcony. There have been quite a few negative reviews about the breakfast but I stayed in many other hotels on my three week trip in Turkey and the breakfast spread here is standard for most Turkish hotels and I didn't not find it disappointing, save for the coffee. Try the pomegranate balsamic vinegar that is made from the pomegranate trees that line the entrance walkway. The coffee could be drastically improved. I would stick with the tea although I kept forgetting to order it in lieu of the coffee! It continues to be a mystery that in a country with delicious Turkish coffee, the hotels frequently serve an awful instant alternative. Perhaps that is what they think the tourists would prefer. I think this hotel was excellent value for money and I would absolutely recommend the Hal Tur.

Mr. Fettah is very helpful & he arranged our bus tickets to Antalya making it very easy for us. He also dropped us to the Pamukkale travels office from where we took free shuttle to Denzli bus station. Good hotel with very helpful staff and superb location.

It seems most hotels in Pamukkale are pretty basic like this one but I felt it was overpriced for what it offered. It was alright for a night but to be honest I wasn't that impressed with the area either so wouldn't return. The travertines were interesting but nothing like the Internet pictures with no running water and there were droves of tour groups. We had a deluxe room which was ok, a bit small but clean and had a little balcony where you could see some of the travertines through the traffic on the road. The manager drove us up to the top of the travertines for 25 TL which could be helpful but it was way too much considering the car was falling apart, one back door didn't work and it had no working seat belts. The pool area looked quite nice and was a nice setting for dinner but it was quite expensive and the food was nothing special. There was hardly food on offering for breakfast so we left hungry.

We stayed in the top floor room (3rd level) which had a huge balcony. We were able to take fabulous evening and sunrise photographs from here as well as relax and enjoy the outdoor space. The manager provided advice on the best times to visit the sights and happily drove us to the northern entry which I would highly recommend as a starting point. Our room was comfortable for three adults and the bathroom appears to have been recently renovated. Staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. It was good to have breakfast within a non smoking area! And the staff member on duty for breakfast was especially attentive to guests needs.

Excellent Location, Staff, and Facilities

We arrived at Hal-Tur with bad colds. This was a great spot to recover. The room was very clean and quiet and the hotel is across the street from the World Heritage Site. We could sit on our balcony and enjoy the scenery. The owner, Tufan, runs a tight and friendly ship and he wants you to have a good time. He even offered to personally drive us to the best access points to the Roman ruins. We were very pleased with the Hal-Tur hotel and the warm hospitality of our Turkish hosts.

It's hard to go wrong with a view like the one the hotel offers. You can walk easily into town, up to the sites, and around the shops and markets.

The place was great. Nothing beats relaxing with the owner and having a beer on the porch after a long day of sight-seeing. Nearby Laodicea is a must, too.

Great friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Eat in the restaurant and had a few drinks all good prices and quality. Our rooms as immaculate and very clean looked straight out onto the White Rock of the Pamukkale \"Cotton Candy\" which is lit at night so don't miss the photo opportunity. You can walk from the front door of the hotel up to the Travetines or the staff will explain the various options as the site has 3 entrance gates each with different advantages if you don't feel up to walking the whole site and back, Just ask for advise. If you have time check out the carpets at the small on site shop as unlike most others there is no hard sell or hassle but they are still happy to explain about them. I would stay again if travelling in that area and having walked around and seem some of the other accomodation nearby I was glad we chose Hal-Tur.

Hal-Tur is a nice, small, family-run hotel with the view on Pamukkale. The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was clean. They have small restaurant when you can feel like in your mom's kitchen; very homey. We had no issues throughout the whole stay. Very conveniently situated. Room is well maintained. Owner and staff are very helpful and try their best to make stay as comfortable as possible. Also check out their carpet stash! Interesting private collection!

Great location for the travertines

We stayed at Hal Tur 2 nights in early May. The service could not have been better - we were given lots of information about the surrounding area and one of the brothers walked us down to experience a local wedding. Food is standard Turkish but was well prepared. The room was a bit dated but overall we felt that we had excellent value for money and the friendly and welcoming service was the icing on the cake. We also bought a couple of carpets.

Close to Travertine

This hotel is the closest to the travertine. The travetine is located across the street and is a 5-10 minute walk away. The area is safe but run down and a lot of trash. The room was small, but clean. The receptionist will try to sell you over priced tour transportation. Go into the town center and purchase your own transportation from one of the many companies, shop around for the best price. We left early in the morning, the receptionist made sure we had a ride to the airport, but their wasn't anyone at the hotel to send us off.

Great view of the travertines!

The hotel is across the street from the travertines and has a great view of them from your room. Only a 5 minute walk to the entrance of the travertines. You are on the main drag and easy walking distance to restaurants, markets and souvenir shops. It is better to stay at least 2 days to really enjoy the old city and the travertines and go swimming in the antique pool. The old city is quite spread out and can take quite a few hours walking to all the sites, especially if you walk up to the martyrium of St. Philip. Make sure you walk all along the boardwalk along the travertines and I suggest once in the morning and again in the evening/late afternoon. The light on the beautiful pools changes and you will have great pics. The restaurant in the hotel had great food. Ate breakfast and dinner there. The owner of the hotel is a wonderful gentleman. The staff bends over backwards to help you. They have Turkish rugs for sale here including antique ones, but they don't push you to buy one and really don't even mention it unless you bring up the subject. Room had good water pressure, very hot water,comfortable bed, mini-fridge, good Wi-Fi and a really nice balcony with comfortable seating and a table, T.V. with satellite, and a radio if you want to listen to Turkish music. It was too cold at the time of year to use the pool and Jacuzzi, but it looked really nice. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to all my friends.

Excellent hotel with a wonderful view.

Very friendly & efficient staff who spoke excellent English and made our stay very memorable. Lovely swimming pool and evening dinner by the poolside was great. The views of the travertine s could not be bettered.

Nice Hotel, Great view of mountain, great service

Hotel is a very nice hotel for what is available in the city. Its very clean and nice. It is no 4 or 5 star, but very typical for the area and exceptionally clean. They were very helpful and the dinner by the pool overlooking the mounatin capped off a great day. Highly recommend

Great location

Very ordinary hotel but obviously a small place. The owners were lovely and very helpful. A bit pushy over their carpet selling. Wonderful to have the swimming pool when it was so hot.
