The amenities in the room are dated especially the bathroom. However, the location is very convenient as it’s very closed to Shin-Kobe station. If you’re traveling to Arima area by bus or to other cities with Shinkansen, it’s a pretty decent hub.

Excellent location. Can’t get any closer to shin-Kobe station. Has underground grocery and 100 yen store. Nunobiki falls and the Herb Garden are right around the corner. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and even helped us reserve dinners and tickets to events.

Breakfast was great as well as the general menu. Lobby was excellent. Staff friendly and welcoming. The location fantastic for the connection to transit and the tram. Didn’t like having to pay for the pool and sauna though as I thought they should be free, just like the gym. Still overall a great place to spend a few days.

I booked a none smoking room so was surprised to be booked into one that smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. The staff did book us efficiently into another room at no extra cost.

The breakfast is outstanding and the area very convenient. 15 walk to Sannomiya and next door to the train station.

We stayed in Japan for 3 weeks this summer. The hotels were excellent, except for this one. This was the last 4 days of our trip. This was not a friendly nor clean hotel! I am going to save the specifics of this terrible review for Expedia and The ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe in hopes that they will make it right!

This hotel is not at all luxurious. Our room was old and bordering on dingy. Dated furnishings and very limited technology, like air conditioning control. The gym had equipment that looked like it was from the 1980’s. Good location and views of Kobe.

The perfect place to stay when catching the bullet train the next day. There’s a covered walkway that gets you quickly to the station. The breakfast was the best we had in our month in Japan. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We loved the quiet of our room.

Great amenities as an IHG hotel. Right in the train station so it couldn't be more convenient. Everything perfect. Seems like it's been a while since it's had a refresh and at some point could use new carpeting in the halls, but generally a lovely convenient place. Great gym. I was excited about that. Lovely bath gel, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms.

The standard/regular room is dreadful. While the view from the window was nice, it didn't make up for dated facilities, dirty carpets, stained drapes, and yellowed bathrooms. You cannot adjust the air conditioner in your room, which hasn't been updated since the late 90s. For the price you pay, even for the standard room, you can stay in a much nicer hotel with better facilities.

The proximity to the Shinkansen is nice, but the hotel is a maze and is extremely poorly marked. Getting to street level is frustratingly complicated. I understand that the more expensive club rooms may be nicer, but the standard rooms feel like a highway motel in the Florida panhandle. I am extremely fortunate that I only booked one night in this location. I checked out as early as possible, as I felt grimy just being in the room. I wanted to leave as soon as possible.

The carpet needs replaced. Room was Ok but a bad patch job made for tripping hazard. Hallway was very stained and had old Japanese Roykan smell. If you’ve ever stayed at one you know what I mean.

Other than that. It was very clean and everything in the worked perfectly.

First this is absolutely NOT a 5 star hotel. It's supposed to be non-smoking but the place is so dated that the smell of cigars is EVERWHERE. The carpet is stained, old and smells bad. We were there and the AC was not working good so they brought us a portable one that was working but very noisy. It was 95 outside...
Had to take colder showers in the middle of the night to try to stay cool and not sweaty. The volume of the tv, that only had 1 English-speaking channel was blocked at 25 and barely audible...
The staff was really nice and tried to help the best they could but were not able to. They offered to move us to the room next door but since the AC is central, it would have been the same so we decided to go somewhere else. Not 1 negative thing to say about the staff. They were very nice but unfortunately this hotel is pass due for updates and renovations and NOT a five star.

World Class Hotel Next to Shin-Kobe Station

Modern, western hotel connected by walkway to Shin-Kobe station. Good access to rest of city, especially the cable car to the gardens above Kobe. Hotel is essentially part of a shopping/restaurant center. Well worth the money.

The property was centrally located connected to the Kobe shin and on top of the green Yamato line. My room was extremely hot the fan/ac didn’t work and they told me to open the window however, it’s completely sealed the curtains were ripped and the shower head sprayed out all over the floor. Other than those few things the hotel had an abundance of amenities. Laundry was expensive. The two different restaurants for breakfast were completely different fun to try the buffet one day and the traditional Japanese breakfast. The waterfall hike is close so is the herb garden gondola which the Sakura was just starting to bloom so I am sure it is gorgeous in full bloom. Overall I loved the location and amenities and would give it another shot.

Since we went as a family of four with two little kids, I wanted to stay at a convenient location. We could’ve chosen Sannomiya area, but we chose this hotel for its proximity to ShinKobe Station (as we travelled by bullet train). It made it so easy for us as we could walk to the hotel from the station and drop off our luggages at the bell desk immediately upon arrival at the station. If you take the taxi, it’s also accessible to major tourist spots including Kitano and the Bay Area (and ofc there were multiple taxis waiting at the hotel entrance all the time so we didn’t need to wait).
Although the facility felt quite old, whenever we needed something, the staff came to our hotel quickly and were super polite and reliable — they solved our needs promptly.
The city view from our 26th floor was beautiful as well.

Amazing skyscraper hotel. Our room was Japan spacious even with a queen bed on the 26th floor. Perfect bathroom, of course. We paid less than 100 dollars for this spectacular view. The breakfast buffet is not possible to top with both appetizing presentation and endless variety. These guys are not kidding.

The hotel is within walking distance from Shin-Kobe Shinkansen Station. The room is big and nice, and temperature can be controlled easily and turned on 24/7, you dont need to put your room key in a slot for electricity.

They also have extension cord near the bed which is really convenient, and provide bottles of water every day.

They also have 2 types of restaurants for breakfast, and have multiple restaurants for dinner.

They can also keep your luggages and can use postal service.

The only thing I didnt find in the room is a small mirror for when doing facial stuff.
