i liked the different pool options, 2 outdoor pools, one indoor and a jacuzzi. The scenery was beautiful and i liked the arcade and full kitchen. The shower was also unique due to the double shower heads. Staff was helpful!

Cons:
Parking garage was difficult, limited space to maneuver while parking.
Only one tiny trash bin in toilet/bathroom, No trash bin in bedroom.
No sitting chair in the bedroom, i had to take a chair from the dining room.
One pool said it was heated, but it wasn't, it was a very cold pool.
No Complimentary coffee

I stayed in ridge point villa.Love the room, kitchen has all the utensils, pots and pans to cook, having washer and dryer in the room is convenient.Bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The amazing view. I would love to try other rooms in next trip. Absolutely recommend everyone to stay at Holiday inn vacations club resort.

So,, you have to be careful where you stay at this resort. Give 4 to 5 stars if staying in main area. Once you go out to the outer buildings 2 stars. Really old and out dated in the outer buildings. Will try not to make the mistake again and ask which area will be staying. So main area is great, if you have to drive back out to main road then bad....

My recent stay at the Holiday Club Inn was a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, having a kitchen in the room was super convenient, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I slept well despite some of the other issues.
However, the room had a noticeable musty smell as soon as I walked in, which wasn't very inviting. The lack of air conditioning was also a major drawback, especially since the weather was warm. It made the room stuffy and uncomfortable. I booked a room with a view, but was disappointed to find that there wasn't any nice view at all.
Another issue was the noise. It seemed like there were hardly any other guests, but the hotel decided to put someone in the room right above us, and they were incredibly loud. It was disruptive, especially in the evenings. Plus, there was rust in the shower, which was pretty unappealing. Overall, the Holiday Club Inn has potential, but needs to address these problems to improve the guest experience.

Unfortunately, I was not able to avail myself to the amenities. The room itself was standard. The bed was hard, the window allowed the wind to howl and there was a 2 inch gap under the main door keeping the room bathed in light. It was clean and the staff were exceptional.

The property is up on top of a mountain. Eating breakfast or dinner and looking out onto nature was great. The outdoor/indoor pool is very small. The hot tubs are located at each tower so not too crowded but they are small. The sauna was not hot enough the first day so we turned it on 30 min prior to using it.The property is very dated and really needs a refresh. The main reason we booked was because of the availability of a tennis court. When we checked in, they said the indoor was out of commission and that the outdoor was not usable. Not sure why since it looked to be in nice shape.

The check-in experience was pretty awful. We did not realize we were checking into a timeshare. When the woman who we were sent to “to activate our room key” found out that we were not interested in attending the timeshare presentation, she quickly switched to being rude and disparaging. It was not a pleasant start. However, our room was clean and the view was wonderful.

The drive up Kingsbury Grade can be a little dicey at night, but the destination is worth it. The view is like looking out the window of a plane - wild, but cool! The room was great - fully stocked kitchen, dual shower head in shower, fireplace, and cozy. The amenities were good, spa and sauna without having to leave the Terrace. Minor hike uphill to the clubhouse, but that wasn't a bother. Game room with pool and ping pong table were fun, including the arcade. Nice place overall. Of course staying at a vacation club, you got the sales pitch for some extras before you get your room keys. If you want those extras, you got to give an hour and a half of your time. We did it, but didn't sign up for the \"timeshare.\" They will definitely try to rope you in. Know what you are getting yourself into if that is what you want. Otherwise, stick to your guns, just enjoy your stay, get your goodies, and go.

Fantastic location within walking or shuttle distance to Heavenly Ski resort.

Amazingly comfortable king size beds and new linens. Rooms were adjoining with connecting hallway , making it great for families. Stunning views of the ponderosa pines and Sierra mountains. Club lounge and jacuzzi amenities were a huge plus for our kiddo as skiing was non existent this 2026 Spring Break.

Pillows and blankets on the living room sectional would have been a nice touch. Room service every 3 rather than 4 days also would have made the stay more enjoyable. And we could not figure out if the periodical loud banging through the day and early morning was metal trash cans on the 3rd floor above us. Please fix the bathroom vents.

I booked this hotel because it was mentioned that this is a family friendly property . We were put up in an isolated building far away from the main building .The two rooms we got were on different floors. Next day our keys stopped working , our phones did not work , the building was so outdated that even to enter the room we had to go through an outdated elevator and an open area . There was no one i could talk to when our keys stopped working and there was no way to contact the main building as our room phones were broken(both the rooms) . i called the office through my phone and no one picked up. We had the worst experience and complained to the main office the next day . They then moved us to a new building on the second day of our stay . Why were we put in such a bad building and room when we are paying more than 1300 dollars for our stay . I do not expect hotels.com to randomly assign us bad rooms .It caused so much inconvenience to us as we had 3 kids with us

Didn’t like the housekeeping and front desk support. Stayed there for 2 nights and when entered inside found the floor having leftover stuffs and uncleaned entire apartment floor. They also had left one hoodie in the kitchen counter. When called after checkin the hotel room, they said they can’t send housekeeping service because it was late at night around 11am which I understand but they didn’t help in getting that cleaned throughout our stay for 2 nights. Even the person came and verified that night that the floor was not cleaned and had dirt and leftover stuffs from last customers and said someone can help clean it next day. Next day I called 2 times and texted also the front desk people 2 times. They said someone will come and clean but nobody showed up. Extremely unprofessional and unhygienic property to stay the least. Never considering this property again and it’s hurting brand name of Holiday Inn.

The location right next to Stagecoach lodge at Heavenly is amazing. We had a renovated two bedroom room and we thought the room was fantastic. We will come back to this property because of the room and the location.

If you care a lot about the amenties, like the swimming pool then we aware those are quite outdated. The jacuzzi in our building was good, no issues with that. For example, the main indoor pool was not heated even though they claimed it was heated.

I recently stayed in the Plaza building, and had an awesome time. The condo itself was in great condition and clean. The convenience of being one quick shuttle ride away from Stagecoach was the best. One minor thing was that the single bedroom smelled a bit like smoke, which was odd because the rest of the apartment didn’t. We stayed during winter so there was no need for AC, which was great. We didn’t take advantage of all of the other amenities because we didn’t have time. But we would def return! Also, all of the staff we encountered were polite—including guys who ran the shuttle, they were the best.

Everything was great overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was cute, clean, and in good condition. I also appreciated having a full kitchen, which made the stay more comfortable.

The only downside was the building itself, which looks quite outdated. There was also an issue with the heating system - it made a pretty loud, unpleasant noise that made it difficult to sleep properly at night.

The skier express was not working for the majority of our stay. We did not receive an invoice prior to leaving the property because the system was down. I still have not received an invoice despite two phone calls. We stayed in the Plaza building. There were times during our stay that only one elevator was working.
Generally, staff were pleasant. There were problems with facility maintenance.

A significant detractor to the stay was the Skier Express tram to Stagecoach lift was non-operational during our entire stay (and according to the staff it rarely is actually working). This benefit of the property is advertised in multiple photos on Expedia and the hotel site, so extremely disappointed it was not available and we had to wait 20 mins + for their overfilled shuttles to get us to skiing.

Gorgeous views from the patio! Extremely clean, organized and inviting living space with a fireplace. This winter vacation at Tahoe Ridge was a great start to our adventures. From the moment we checked in the staff was attentive, polite, and accommodating. The hot tub was located conveniently in the middle of the buildings and easy access for all guest. We will absolutely recommend this place to our friends and family.

If you’re a skier, the best thing about this property is the proximity to the Stagecoach lift at Heavenly. The free shuttle picks you up outside your building and it’s a 7 minute ride to the lift. The location is about an hour’s drive to Northstar, Kirkwood and Squaw Valley.
The 1 bedroom villa in the Cascade building was spacious, quiet and had a full kitchen. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were really nice with great views.

Second time staying here, we stayed in a different tower this year. Previous year we stayed in cascade and this year we stayed in neagle tower. Room was great, some minor maintenance issues such as one of the burners on the electrical stove not working. Broken tile in one of the bathrooms, heater didn’t work great throughout the rooms. We stayed in a two bedroom villa, kids room was always cold even when thermostat was set to 80. The refrigerator was also leaking water at one point, not sure if a something was missing to catch it but had to put a pitcher under the water run off so the food wouldn’t get wet. Aside from those few small things the staff was helpful and positive, loved that they gave games and puzzles to rent. Game room was a great place to hang out for a few hours to entertain the kids, the coloring activity would have been fun if more kids signed up. Best part about staying here is the full kitchen, I like being able to cook a few meals in the room to cut down the cost of eating out. Kids loved the playground as well, next year we will make sure to pack our swim suits and use the jacuzzi and indoor pool!

The hotel was clean & well-stocked. There is a shuttle to and from the stagecoach lift which is very convenient. However, Neil from the hotel key pick up station was rude and left a bad taste during our trip. He tried to push us to sign up for a timeshare presentation and when we said we need time to think about it, he threw our hotel keys onto the table. To make things worse, later in the evening, he came up to me pointing his finger into my face asking if I was ready to make a decision or not regarding the timeshare. Very rude and unprofessional.

Best great experience for my family of 4. We stayed two nights this winter of January. Villa was clean and had everything we needed. We call for extra blankets and towels and Staff was always fast, checking with us since beginning. We went to 4 jacuzzi in different buildings, emazing views. After checking in, they had us get our room keys over with this women at a desk, she was very pushy when I told her my husband and I did not want to go to a 90 minute meeting to receive some gifts she was trying to bribe us with. We were very clear that we weren’t interested but she still was pushy. There for we problem will not be coming back which is very sad because we have been in the past and it was great. I think ever since the Ridge was taken over by Holiday Inn Club vacations the quality has gone down. Besides the pushy timeshare women all the other staff were very friendly.

The \"Skiers Express\" thing is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever seen. Just establish a real cat walk/trail down to the lift area! Probably cheaper than trying to keep this thing operational!

We had an electrical issue in the bathroom during our second night. While my wife was in there showering after the casino the lights and fan just popped and turned off. I called the desk and was told maintenance would be back the next morning. I asked about the location of the breaker box and no one on duty knew.
I guess it's going to be safe. The rest of us will shower in the dark.

After reading lots of negative reviews, I was worried my room not meeting our expectations. I booked a two bedroom villa. I was pleasantly surprised upon check in that we got our suite in the Ridge Pointe building. The two bedroom villa is a one bedroom suite with full kitchen and a studio combined. The rooms are renovated with a fireplace and washer/dryer in unit. Bathroom toiletries are decent quality Dove products. The balcony overlook the mountain and ski runs. The views are fantastic. Location is wonderful too. It's 2 minute drive to Stagecoach lift or a 10 minute downhill walk. We didn't need to use the shuttle service. We used the sauna and pool table in the building and enjoyed them too. Service was great when we requested additional blankets. Overall we had a perfect stay because of the building that we were luckily assigned to. So I am giving five stars. I just wish this property advertised with the pictures of what you will really get.

Service was way off the mark for the price. Inaccurate information, flubbed attempts to help, and a general lack of hospitality.

We checked into our unit (at the separate check in desk). Told all was well in our building and hot tub was working. Changed into bathing suits with kids and went down to tub to discover it wasn’t working. Called the front desk (is separate building). Received conflicting information on status of hot tub and whether/when it would open. Told to use to tub in another IHG building next door. Walked over and found our keys did not work. Asked for keys that would work. Front desk said someone would drop off keys, then confirmed someone had dropped off keys. No keys were delivered. Then drove over to the check in desk to have keys recoded — which they did. Tried keys on building next door and they did not work. So, drove back to front desk to update coding — third time was a charm.

Asked for a credit or refund multiple times and was offered zero compensation or apology. All the while, vacation club sales reps are calling us trying to strong arm us into attending a timeshare sales presentation. What a ridiculous ask — “buy a timeshare at our hotel that has broken amenities, bad service, and lack of customer care!” What a joke.

Beyond this, room was fine but not great. Non-carpeted floors were dirty, and dishwasher was loud. No coffee filters (though instant hotel coffee with filter was available). No room cleaning.

Not sure what else to say.

BUYER BEWARE- the View rooms do not come with a view and Expedia refused to correct it. I paid a premium to get a View room and pictures do not depict property I was given. I could have a gotten a larger room for less money had the rooms been properly advertised. I reported to Expedia and all they would do is offer me OneKeyCash credit instead of a credit back to my method of payment. Spoke with properly too and they were no help, blamed it all on Expedia.

We have been staying at this property for close to 40 years. Since IHG took over in 2019 it has gone down hill. Many things were inoperable including the main hot tub in the clubhouse and the sauna. The pool was filthy. The hot tub in the building we were staying was inaccessible because the snow had not been cleared for what certainly had been many days. The room was run down, the appliances were old and cheap. The heater in the room sounded like a freight train.
Staff was rude and dismissive.
We first stayed at this property when it was brand new, back in the late 1980’s and over the years saw the buildings age but they were always well maintained and deserving of the 4 star classification. But this is no longer the case and sadly there is little reason for us to return. It is very sad and disappointing after having stayed at the Ridge Tahoe so many times in the past. It used to be a special place we were excited to bring our family and friends to. No longer.

Room was good, had some maintenance issues, but they were pretty responsive considering it was New Years day. Customer service checking in was ok, will get a timeshare sales pitch. otherwise - this is NOT a ski-in/out place. you will have to take a shuttle service for the Stagecoach or Boulder lodge. We just drove down and parked at Boulder lodge but the shuttle service seemed decent. there's no monorail/gondola to the slopes, so be aware of that.

Staff were great, and my family and I enjoyed our stay. Only downside was the property was so big and we didn’t get around to all the amenities. We will definitely return.

The ad about the rooms in the resort were misleading, it wasn’t clarified as to what room view you got etc, the room were a bit outdated, the amenities wasn’t worth the resort fee.

The rooms were nice. The hot tub and sauna were not working. When checking in one of the staff members, Lucy, had initially only checked me and family in for 1 of our rooms; and when we came back to ask why we were not checked in to both rooms, she quickly blamed me for not telling her and argued about not seeing my second room on her paperwork. From what I know about customer service, you do not argue w/ the customer.
Nice rooms, a 15 min drive from all the restaurants and shopping. Plan accordingly.
